Personality:

Fade is a troubled youth, with an uncertain death wish. He believes fate to have mixed things up by making him a mage, but he doesn't make this known often, much like other things. All of his life, the boy was praised for his ability to deduce and solve any equation, so naturally he does feel superior to most in that field. However, this bottled up mind of his made him out to be a quiet, yet firm believer in intelligence. He values it as his best quality, and turns to it before his magic as often as possible. Unlike many on his strength caliber, Fade is not stuck-up upon meeting new people, though he isn't overly nice either. In addition; the mage finds himself to be an oddity among his fellow wizards and peers. Believing that if they were ever to figure out his secret, he'd be judged and cast away. Smoke denies allowing them that advantage over him, and chooses to remain collectively calm in all situations. Or-- to the best of his ability at least.

The teen is very introverted, and well mannered in the presence of stronger people, but becomes much more sluggish and bored in the company of weaker foes. Mood-swinging under the surface, might be his most interesting characteristic, but reading into this is extra hard to do. He often carries a solemness to his stride, forever chastising his fears behind a door which no one is able to enter. Fade is known for skipping important events and shutting himself in when he isn't on a mission. He isn't socially awkward he just wishes not to cause any trouble for his allies.

Fade should've adopted the passion for strength and a vision for power very early on, however, he found himself always running from conflict. He knew what he was capable of and denied using it to help him. Fade's immense demonic energy which lied dormant until he was pushed to the brink. As a child, his mother told him to use chains and shackles and only to drink blood from small animals. She'd been skipped in her generation, but not the son. The chains worked for awhile, but a grave accident would lead him to deviate from drinking at all for many years. It wasn't that he killed anyone, but he deemed it better for him to suffer thirst than for other's to have their safety breached.


Years passed and the insatiable thirst never extinguished, water helped, but it wasn't the same. paranoia arose because of this, and Fade was never the same. His mother decied to end his suffering, and after that he was noticeably shallow about many things around him. But it opened his eyes to a surreal thing, he needed to eat and villains were bad. So just eat bad guys, and his thirst would be filled. That, or he could drink from himself in seclusion. Yet ever still, biting himself became a habit, he would officially begin his mission to become a mage. Settling his hungers using crooks and criminals.

Fade never designed his own magic, it sort've developed on its own and he merely learned to control it. He was able to familiarize his mana to create ball-like demons. Whites would represent his suppressed need for friendship, and Blacks represented his hunger for blood. Both significant catalysts of emotion. They became weapons of his will, and since they were created from his body, if they managed to bite people and drink blood it went straight to Fade's body. Forcing him into demon mode at every turn of the clock. In addition, they were able to conjure spells through his mana and possessed powers and abilities which he himself began to learn as well... While this was all just defensive mechanism-- the familiars were self-conscious and if not commanded upon, would engage all by themselves. He grew to learn there was no fighting his own curse. When he was enlisted to a guild, he made sure to warn of his powers to the Master. He could fight at all ranges, and his style was only going to grow.


Likes:

- Blood: It sates his thirst, and gives him momentary release.

- Books: Fade is a lover of of the arts, and reads on them whenever alone.

- Rare Sights: Fade lives to explore uncharted areas, and makes it very evident.

Dislikes:

- Blood: It causes him to go berserk, his only true drawback to his style. It's a Love/Hate relationship.

- Nuisances: Anything that would annoy you, probably annoys him, and that's to say the least.

- Social Gatherings: Fade would rather bail from these, finding them pretty pointless. He'll attend if requested personally, but not if it's mentioned to a group or the guild in general.

Motivations:

- Justice: Punish the wicked, and relish in their deaths.

- Sating His Sin: The thirst is unbearable, he is motivated to free himself whenever he sees the opportunity.

- Forget The Past: Fade suffers from his mother's sacrifice to him, and he often tells himself if he can forget it, then he'll be happy. Maybe.

Fears:

- Hurting Others: Fade is still more or less a good guy, he doesn't seek enjoyment in the suffering of the innocent.

- The Demon Within: Fade has never met the creature, but it has always been in his lineage, how do you fight something you don't even know?

- Spotlight: Fame is not something Fade is asking for, but things usually don't go the way he wants them to...

Appearance: Fade has dark hair which he changes up from time to time. He is usually seen wearing a school uniform, the typical Japanese youth's outfit. Fade has a rather nondescript expression on his face most of the time, but when he goes berserk his eyes light up and he is overtake by winds and auras foreign to this world. It's rumored that this form will only get stronger as he improves as a mage.
