No Play Cafe[Job/Solo]

5 a.m.

Haia arrives at the cafe, to see a very very worried looking man. His hairline was reciding under the stress. He looks at Haia and gives her a big hug.

"Oh thank you! Thank you for coming!" He cries and Haia gives the man a pat on the back, sighing. She was too nice, she wanted to help the poor guy, but she was not sure about cosplaying. He opens the door in and locks it so no customer thinks it is open.

"You would fit the maid role prefectly," The man, doing an inspection by walking around Haia, he goes to the storage room and for a while, Haia just stood there idle wondering what to do. He then reappears with a box. She blinks as he tells her to try it on in the locker room for the ladies. She lifts the cover off to see a maid uniform, hesitant, she strips and tries it on. It surprisingly fits prefectly. She does a little twirl, the skirt was not too long or too short. Her twintails looked prefect with the maid hat too. She looks in the mirror and then the box to see magic hair spray. She sprays her hair and sees it turns white. She smiled as she steps out and the manager obviously looks please.

"Now give me a bit to set up and customers will flood in any moment, good thing I know how to cook!" He said as he rushed to the back.

5:55 a.m.

The cafe looked rather simple for a city like Crocus, but it somehow fits it beautifully with the street. Haia waited patiently at the door to greet her first customer. She and the manager had gone through how to greet customers many times. She repeated it in her mind times, saying to herself, "Good morning Master! Please take a seat!" She sees the manager stressing over cakes that he puts on display and what kind of character may come in.

6 a.m.

Haia checks the time and flips the sign to 'Open!' People fon't seem to flock it but they do come and go, giving the manager business. Business is slow, just 1 or two customers. She waits at the door to see new people come in.

'Monster Dice' :

Haia smiles and greets a small group of four 7 year olds and two female cosplay fans, who immediately squealed when they saw her. She smiles as they took photos of her but before they block the way for others she tells them to take a seat which they did, she could hear them say how maid like she is. But she could see the manager give her a thumbs up going back into the kitchen.

She heads her way to the 7 year olds, two guys two girls, and hands them the menu before handing the two cosplay fans their menus. She posed for them a peace sign before hearing the 7 year olds call for her.

She takes a note book and looks at them and waits for their order. They said about the same thing, cake with chocolate smoothie, but one girl, with a hairclip that has a thunder cloud said strawberry smoothie. Her friends suddenly changed their minds to strawberry smoothie. Haia was about to change before a boy in a straw hat changed cake to steak and everyone said steak.

'It's like they can't decide what they want...' She thought to herself, but kept a striaght face, she could hear photos being taken of her and comments on how she is so maid like. In the end they finally decided. 2 chocolate smoothies, 1 strawberry smoothie and 1 banana smoothie. 1 strawberry shortcake, 2 steaks and 1 chocolate cake. She takes it down with a smile and hands the manager the order.

Haia moves to the two cosplay fans, who now wanted to place their orders. But before she could ask what they wanted, they asked her to say Mistress one more time. She said it with a smile and she got them squealing and taking photos of her. Then she did poses, said lines, do dances, tell a joke related to her costume for them as they took photos and squealed like little girls. She stops them from taking too much because they would need to order as they are people who also want their orders taken and she is the only one avaliable for now. They settled down and told them they wanted pancakes with maple syrup and two cups of hot chocolate.

As Haia goes to place in their orders, the door open and more customers walk in to that a sit, Haia quickly goes to greet them maid like.

'Monster Dice' :

8 kids walked in before she could greet them properly. They ran around the cafe and if it was not for Haia's Light Draw attracting them to sit down. The cosplays were squealing in the delight as they watch Haia telling the kids how they should act like a maid lecturing her master. Haia could not help but feel a bit flustered by the comments. She hands them all menus and shes waves goodbye to some customers.

She then see four kids trying to sneak off. She quickly moves to the door and blocks their escape with a smile.
"You haven't paid~" She said, getting squeals from the fans. She grabs the straw hat boy by the collar with amazing strength and guides them nicely to pay up to the manager, who looked really happy at Haia.

The cosplay fans went up to pay and gave Haia hugs and took wefies with her. Haia took a wefies with them using her Ilac that she got many days ago. They wave to her goodbye and Haia goes to take orders from the kids, who were more decisive than the batch that tried to run. The manager seems stress so while there was a lack of customers she helped cook, and the manager said she was not half bad with it.

The kids left after paying and Haia greeted the new batch of customers in with a smile.

Haia could not help but feel like the safe seems to attract alot of kids. A male teen walks in, about her age, looks at her and gives a wink as she greets him. Then two cosplay fans, who were cosplaying as a orange hair guy with a scary mask and a girl with orange hair with a black kimono, with a revealing chest, they seem to be a couple. But then, a new batch of kids came in and circled her, apparantly they wanted to see her magic which they heard from their friends, she looks at the manager and the manager gives a thumbs up and mouths, 'Just do it'.

So Haia drew the light again, brushing the kids over with the light like it was a fabric. The customers watched and clapped as she made things with the light strings from a cat playing with yarn to fireworks on the feet. She watched the children happily leave and the people had forgotten that they were there to eat. She served them the best she could, she went up and down, being the only one around. She took photos and posed with the cosplay fans.

Then there was the teen. He sat in a corner and whenever she walked past he would pull a really cheesy pick up line. Cheesy to the point that people sat away from him. She tolerated it, she read was on the job, just take it, don't let it get to your head, and just served with a smile. The cosplay fans tipped her 1 jewel before they left which was still nice in her opinion. The teen just paid and walked out.

12:28 p.m.

Haia waited outside the doors, handing flyers out, and whenever a customer came in she would quickly do everything that she need. Take their order, bring them their order and their bill, satisfy their requests to the best of her ability. The manager told her that business is picking up thanks to her.

Haia now had to stay outside because of all the children flocking in to either eat or watch her, the poor manager having to do more than he expected. Haia tried her best as well and the manager told her that once it is 1pm they will close the cafe for lunch break. Haia was getting a bit stressed with the fact that she has to deal with more customers being the only one other than the manager himself doing the waitering. Once again another angtsy teen came up to her and started dropping as many pick up lines as there are arrows in her quiver.

However at least the children were a bit more delightful to serve. They would want the most easiest of foods, also the cheapest on the menu, giving the manager an easier time when making food. She would keep them entertained by using her Prism and doing dances and because they copied her movement, it was prefect synchronization. She however caught some sneaky children trying to leave without paying.

1 p.m.

It was break time at last, as high as Haia's stamina is, right now she is really tired out. The manager too was tired but he managed to keep a well formed smile and hands her chocolate smoothie and some crepes.

"So how is work so far?" The manager asked as he dranks his smoothie.

"Well fun, though some of the customers that came in can be really pesky some times, like teens hitting on me," Haia said she stuffed a crepe into her mouth, the manager laughing and smiling.

"Well that's the problem of any place that serves people, they are going to do really ridiculous thing with you and you may never know," The manager said as he finished his lunch and checked his watch. "Well store opens at 1:15 so hurry up, we have customers waiting and my rent to pay." Haia laughed and quickly finishes her food and takes a bit of rest.

1:15 p.m.

Just why do kids keep coming, Haia is practically swarmed by the amount of kids and because her Prism spell was on cool down, she could not really do anything yet to enterain them all. At least the good thing was it was one kid's birthday, so she and the manager threw a birthday party. The only person who did not join was the teen who kept trying to hit on Haia, Haia had to decline his approaches quite a few times before he would just order food and left after paying. Haia picked the bill up to see it had the words 'Thanks for tolerating' on it with 3 jewels tip. She shrugs, feeling a bit bad after reading that. She was then called over by the manager to help manage the children. Eventually their parents came and paid for everything and Haia cleaned up as fast as she could, the manager helped by washing the dishes and cleaning the floor.

1:30 p.m.

Haia wonders is it her brain or something, but somehow a group of teen boys came in and they were argueing how to woo her. At least the children that came after were more plesant to listen to.

She comes around the table where the teens sat to take their order and blinked as a blond one shifts closer and smiles, she recognized the look in his eyes. He was going to drop a pick up line. She sighed in her heart and listened.

"Hey darling, you are a maid right? Maid for me?" His friends burst into laughter and Haia went along with a small giggle, but found the line ridiculously cheesy. She took the notebook out and asked for their order. At least they have it, if it was not for the countless pick ups using the dishes on the menu.

"I bet you like the chocolate smooth..."

"Can I crepe you away?"

"Please stop, you are making my banana spilt"

The last one stopped his friends fits of laughter, even Haia could not keep a straight face when she heard the line. She took the order and scuttles away from the awkward situation.

Business started to slow, lunch hours were over so lunch rush ended and they had to settle with children coming by and eating as they ended school. Haia at least had breathing space now with the decrease in customer count, able to do her work more leisurely and show the cosplay more. Seeing that the floor is getting dirty, she started mopping the floor slowly but throughly. Then the doors open, children laughter filled the safe and the sound of rushing footsteps. A kid ran in with his friends and around the tables but upon reaching the wet areas, the kid slips while his friends managed to break in time.

Haia saw this in slow, she puts her mop down and rolls to catch him and in the process, damages her uniform a bit but at least the boy is safe. The manager came over quickly and sighed in relief to see both Haia and the kids fine. But however the manager puts a hand on his head wondering what to do about the uniform. He tells Haia to change into her regular attire and serve customers in that.

Haia's change into her attire had customers flocking in a bit more. They never saw anyone dressed like her and because it was a cosplay café, they assumed it was a cosplay, not knowing it is just what Haia wears on a daily basis. Cosplay fans swarmed her and asked her alot of questions, and Haia was not sure how to answer half of them if it was not for the manager stepping in and giving her an amazing story on her attire. Haia posed and acted for the cosplay fans, who followed her around as she served customers.

It got even weirder when a teen boy dropped a pick up line on her for practicd but got nervous as cameras were all pointed at Haia and him. Haia managed to get the fans to disperse and the boy got the guts to say a line. And it was a really good one. She clapped and told him in was an excellent one and that maybe he could get a girl with that. Satisfying customers was fun.

5 p.m.

Business has picked up after 5. People came in more now that mostly everyone is free. Older children that had either stayed for detention or for their clubs now came in to the cafe with their friends. Haia greeted all of them and swipes the sweat of her forehead, she quickly hands them their menus and awaits their orders patiently.

Cosplay fans soon came in, the café looking its fullest for the day. They asked Haia many questions, mostly answered by the manager, giving Haia the freedom to go and take orders from the children around. Eventually the cosplay fans started buying their meals here too. As Haia waits for the orders to be ready, she looks outside the large window, a nice view of Crocus's streets. The sun is setting and the streetlights turned on, just 5 more hours till she gets her massive payout of 2k jewels and the few tips she got.

5:30 p.m.

Haia was cleaning the floor, the customers only came in once in a while, the manager said it was fine and things tend to go like that at the later hours. She leans on her mop, getting tired with moving around so much. The manager gives her an encouraging pat on the back. Haia smiles and greets the two teens and a bunch of 10 year olds who came in. She goes back to standard procedure.

She strolls and hands them their menus, the children were at least nice to decline as they were waiting for their parents. She looks around for something to do, but all she could really do at the moment is just wait for their orders. She watches the parents of the children arrive and she hands them the menu just ss the teens ordered, they kept the flirting to the minimum, tired obviously. Haia smiles and keeps their spiritd up a smile. Then she got an idea. Using her light draw ability, she made a heart and blew it like a kiss, the boy immediately smiled. It was so quiet, the tranquilty of the shifting from afternoon to dusk.

6 p.m.

Night seems like a popular time for teens to appear more often. Children came by and bought cake to bring home. Haia sweeps the floor, only one or two people happen to be around, mostly teenagers. The manager gives a stretch, smiling as he checked the cash register. Haia decided to talk with the customers while waiting for new ones.

"Hey miss, did you hear about the pirate guild called Black Sails?"

Haia raised an eyebrow, faking innocence, if it was not for her gloves, they might have saw the guild mark. The teen looked at her before continueing.

"I heard they raid a Hargeon towns shipping company, they did not get away with the jewels though, someone with a bow and arrows stopped them, giving the Rune Knights time to secure the harbour." Haia shifts away, hearing the boy grunt. If that teen only knew that she was there and was the one the one that stopped them. She went back to mopping the ground.
