Take Over itself is a magic type and may be primary OR secondary. It's required to have a theme to it, which is where the "Animal, Beast, and Demon" souls will come into play.

Re: Question Thread
Regarding signature spells from trading items: say you trade in an artefact for an s rank signature slot but you're not s rank, are you able to make it a spell of your rank.
And the extra spell slots you get can be used for either magic right? Even if you make your signature in one and your spell slots in the other right?

Re: Question Thread
Signature spells will rank with you up to their appropriate rank.
So if you traded an artefact slot and got a sig spell but are only C rank that spell slot would be C rank. However, as you rank up it would increment with you till it hit its max. I would say, though this probably needs clarifying in the rules, that the same goes for the 'extra' spell slots you get from trading.
I believe you are correct with your second question.

The rules state that the slots you gain from this can be used for your secondary magic, so if any moderator gives you heat about using it for that please refer them to Character Perks, Section-A, Subsection A.2, "Signature Spells" and quote the 10'th thing listed in the area about trading equipment.
"10. When you trade a weapon/armor slot you also receive a regular spell slot for either magic. "

Re: Question Thread
So I remember this was being discussed but I don't know how it was finalized before I left. Is SS-Rank counted in "A Mage can do missions that are 1 Rank higher than their own Rank provided that the requirements for the mission are met." As in are S-Rank and SS-Rank counted as two separate levels that require two different ranks to undertake, or are SS-Ranks just abnormally hard S-Rank jobs as described in the manga?
I guess the real question is: can A-Ranks take SS-Rank jobs?

C- 1 (50 exp)
B- 1 (1,050 exp)
A- 0
S- 0

It was ruled some time ago by admin that since SS Rank is now an official rank, SS Rank jobs can only be taken up by S Rank or higher mages.

I'm not actually sure, but do you get EXP for participating in events, even if the events die out? I'm asking in reference to Sabertooth and Infinity Hydra's Ball Events of last year.

Some events grant EXP, some don't. The ball events were made to be social type things, so they don't actually have rewards other than plot development.

So I looked around jobs and was wondering, can we still get the experience from them even if we don't qualify for the reward or follow exactly what we were suppose to do in the job?

So long as you complete the word count, and fulfill all requirements listed in the "Job Requirements" field you're fine, however moderators reserve the right to revoke all rewards from a job.
An example would be if you started a job, and then killed the person who gave it to you. I would revoke that job without hesitance.

Re: Question Thread
Howdy there. Got a quick question that just popped into my head around one time only jobs.
So I get these jobs are one time only for plot/rewards etc.
However, does that include both taking the job yourself and replacing someone on a job.
For example,
I've replaced someone in the shine like the moon job. I'm not going to get the full exp for it (due to being a replacement).
Could I then take this job myself?

How young are our characters allowed to be when we first create them?
And, while I'm on the topic, how does aging work on this site?

So far, the youngest character is 4 years old. You can make them as young or as old as you want, just don't make them so young they can't do things on their own (like a baby).
Aging is a little difficult to say, as there isn't any set way to age a character. It's likely considered real time, but you can time skip your character however you like, just provide reasons why the time skip may have effected only your character.

*didn't even know this place was a thing...*
So, I need to know what would a proper defense - speed relationship be? Specifically, how high can defense go and how low can speed go.
I'm making summoning magic at the moment, and I want an A rank spell to be super tanky but super duper slow. I normally guess this stuff right off the bat, until I realized defense is much more... Valuable? Than speed.
Let's say I have 10% damage reduction and -10% speed, I'd still be able to move around almost as if it were nothing.
So, if I were to make it's move speed next to 0 (It's a giant robotic fortress basically that shoots lasers) how high would it's passive damage reduction be?

Basically, you can make them any percentage, but if the buff/debuff is enhancing/reducing two stats, it can only add up to 50% total, maybe even 65% depending on the drawbacks and such.

I'd like to know if I could keep a certain character/account but put them on hiatus/freeze status for later to make a new character in their account/character slot? Like, I want to keep my Yuki account but I don't want to use her and want to make a new character in that account slot.

This would be considered a character change. Essentially, everything from your former character would go to the new character. If you bring Yuki back, you'd have to restart with her.

I don't really understand this. It seems to contradict itself. From what I take out of it is:
If it only raises / lowers one stat, it can be any percent
If it raises / lowers multiple stats, it can be 65% max
That seems to be... Counterproductive. Can I have a slightly more clear explanation? Here is a better example, albeit it's extreme.
I cast a spell
Spell doubles speed
Spell reduces strength to 0
In this example of course it's a little extreme, but would something along those lines (not exactly) be acceptable? Going back to my spell, I haven't thought of an exact percent yet but would, let's say... A speed reduction by 75% and a defense increase by 75% be possible? Again, it's a pretty hefty increase but it's an example, I still have yet to think of the full numbers
