What was her reason for being here in Magnolia’s East Gardens? Perhaps it was the fact it was rightfully called “East Gardens?” Anything that had the word “garden” in its name was something worthy of her checking out, oftentimes to come to disappointment. However, this time around, she was not disappointed in what she had walked into, for East Gardens truly was a garden of its own. Now, she had quite the respect for Magnolia Town; unfortunately, it still had one issue that deterred her from completely liking it. Humans invaded this place, which meant that her plants were not happy being confined to only one place in the entire town. They wanted more space so that they could expand and grow like they were meant to, not be locked up and cramped as they were. Still, East Gardens was a beautiful place and on top of that, it was a wildlife park that contained such beautiful plants in her eyes.

Now, she wasn’t one to completely enjoy the sound of children’s laughter, but because this place was magnificent, she learned to ignore it. Her eyes scanned the area in awe as she took in every plant and animal that surrounded where she stood in the park. They all seemed to wave at her in greeting and she would sort of wave back to them in this strange, fantasy-like image in her head. Perhaps she was diluted in the mind, psychotic a little, but that was clichely expected of a dark mage, was it not? She simply wanted what was best for her plants and it was clear that despite how happy they looked, it was only because she was there. Once she left, they would go back to their depressed lives of scrounging for the sunlight that could barely peek through the trees. Constantly photosynthesizing and hoping that one day a savior will come for them and help them extend from this tiny park to the outside world.

A tiny hand grabbed hold of a few leaves of her “outfit” and tugged on them lightly, but it still caused the demoness surmounted pain. She gave out a yelp of pain from the tiny hand’s grasp and whirled around with a raised hand in planning of hitting whoever had grabbed her. However, when she had come to be greeted by a young child, her hand faltered in its place and she dropped it to her side. Ahmoria frowned a the little girl who was looking expectantly and happily up to her face from below where she stood. “Well, child, what is it that you want; quit staring at me with those big eyes of yours,” the woman remarked to the child.

“Will you please play tag with us? We need one more person before we can start playing the game,” the little girl requested and explained.

She narrowed her eyes at the child, thinking for a moment, but then reluctantly nodded her head and beckoned for the girl to run along.

The little girl became giddy over Ahmoria agreeing to play with her friends and her a game of tag that they had wanted to play for a while. “Thank you so much, Miss!” the little girl exclaimed excitedly, clapping her hands together and bouncing off to her friends with Mori.

“Ahmoria,” the woman responded to the little girl, since she knew the child didn’t know her name before asking her to play.

“Okay, so you’re going to be it, Ahmoria, and the rest of us are going to run and hide, and you have to try and tag us!” the girl explained. She merely nodded in acknowledgement of the little girl because she already knew how to play the game from when she was a child. All the plants would play tag with her when she wanted them to, and quite frankly, it had always been fun when they had. However, it had been years since she last played the game and who know how good or rusty she was now after so long.

With that being said, the children ran off and Ahmoria turned around, counting slowly from one to ten in order to let them get a head start. Once she had reached the number ten, the woman turned back around and looked for one of the children to see where they were hiding. It wasn’t hard to find the child, considering children were rather dumb and thought that their hiding places were great when they weren’t. So, Ahmoria charged where the child was standing, which caused the little boy to let out a scream of terror and run away while laughing. She shook her head and gave chase, running around after the little boy until she reached out and touched him on the shoulder. As soon as she touched him, her poisonous effects of her plant side kicked in and caused the child to drop dead to the ground. Whirling on her toes, the woman gave chase to another child now that they had been revealed by the screaming little boy.

One by one, the children dropped dead to the ground, all because the woman had simply touched them and had no ill intent at all. Well, that was incorrect because there was the fact that she wanted to end the race of humanity so that her plants could live on. Either way, she now stood in a circle of dead children’s bodies, all of who had stopped breathing the moment she had touched them. Never had she realized just how powerful her magic actually was that even the slightest touch from her could kill a human. She liked the idea of that, but she also had simply wanted to play a bit of tag since she hadn’t played the game in years. Nevertheless, whether the children had died or not, she was able to have a bit of fun chasing them around and making them giggle. It made her wonder though… what would happen when the parents found out their children had passed on peacefully in play?
