Ever since she had come back from that trip spanning three countries? Jiyu’s mind had been playing cruel and brutal tricks on her, the wind mages consciousness and sanity nearly ripped apart by her own brain. She was left waking up in the middle of the night, drenched in sweat and panting, a delicious but so wrong sensation running through her body, until it faded and she returned to normal, but remained unable to sleep. Lying awake on night’s like that, she would than start to consider how wrong she was and what a twisted fucked up, oh so selfish individual she was! Once the female was ripped apart by her own lustful fantasizing about a certain man, she than brutalized her own decision made concerning a woman who was one of the best friend’s she ever had. The vicious cycle? Was so merciless she cried several times during it, and felt physical agony over the mental stimuli, locked within her room in the silver moon, biting into her pillow to prevent herself from screaming. The one thing she could not do? Was scream out and thus suggest she had an issue to begin with, since her guild was filled with several demons, who would hear her shirek just as she would hear theirs if they shouted out. In Black Rose, for reasons stretching beyond her pride, she could not scream out her frustrations, if she screamed when she was not in danger, it would be breaking the trust given, crying wolf, because the only thing wrong with her, was herself. If someone she could turn back time and remove her demon blood, prevent herself from activating it on that fateful day? Kazehime would do it in a single moment, with no second thought! Right now, she despised herself, hated being a demon so much she would likely not put up much of a fight if someone tried to exorcise or slay her; If she got lucky, she would be reborn human! Every single mortal thought they were too weak, but they had it easy compared to non-humans and they didn’t even know it, Jiyu cursed them.
“I’m never getting back to sleep tonight.” she whispered it out, hand idly stroking the kitsune sleeping beside her as she bit her lip. Carefully? She disentangled herself from the super fluffy blanket she was wrapped within, and swung her feet over the bed. Considering she had not been sleeping for very long, she had her clothing on still, the only thing that needed fixed was that she had undone her shorts in her sleep, somehow. Often times? The sorceress woke with her clothing thrown about the room, but now was not the time for thinking about that, she needed to get out of the room before she woke Makoto, the fox kitten was young and needed it’s slumber, so she could not risking her up. However she chose to slip her dress, secure her cape and even grab her weapons before leaving; Encase she chose to take a mission to distract herself.
Once she had gotten outside of the building? She started walking towards the exterior of Rose Garden, aiming to cut into the forest and make sure nothing else could be disturbed by her late night strife. Arriving in the forest, with moist eyes, the female screamed out in frustration, the sound disturbing several nearby creatures and causing them to dart, because it sounded like a dog howling and a person screaming combined, disturbing, at least to Jiyu. “The fuck am I doing!” she plopped against a stone and sighed out, holding her face in her hands. If none of this bullshit had happened? She would be happily telling Leila about the fact they were the same rank now, sharing the fact she had been made the Ace Of Hearts within Black Rose, laughing about it, drinking juice while Leila likely enjoyed something stronger. Instead? She had spent the last few months ignoring the other girl and it tore her apart inside! Leila had likely made attempts to contact her, maybe sent letters or something asking for aid in missions, or just checking in. However the witch had told the mail carries quite clearly upon arriving home from their inadvertently shared trip, to send back anything sent from Leila! It was brutal and maybe even a little rude, but it was the only thing that the wind user could think to do. In her mind? She was protecting both of them, Jiyu could see no way for the Eden Mage to accept her as she now existed, and she couldn’t ask the other girl to accept her. Sure they had shared a deep emotional moment back in Joya, but well, it was all the more reason that Jiyu would not ever expect Leila to accept what had become of her. What the Eden mage needed? Was someone who was normal, someone who could help her efficiently, someone who knew what they were doing and was a calm individual. Kazehime was none of that, she was reckless, out of control, self centered and unable to get a grip on herself now that she was a demon. When someone was falling? They didn’t need someone else who was falling to catch them, they needed someone on the ground to catch them, Leila was falling and so was Jiyu, it just wouldn’t do. “It was fun while it lasted though.” she mumbled it wistfully, giggling slightly as she hugged her own knees.
Once she finished mopping around in the forest for the night? Jiyu stood and started walking back along the path, until she saw a familiar figure “Shit.” one word left her mouth, as she stared at the back of a girl she knew very well. Apparently her attempts to keep Leila away? Had the opposite effect! No, nope, the Eden Mage was just going to Rose Garden for something, it was a popular place. “Eep, Damn what is that?!” however before anything else could happen, a portal of dimly shining light opened up beside the wind user, and she stumbled backwards, towards the very person she’d spent weeks trying to avoid. In terms of having things go wrong for her? This night mostly took the cake, and the woman wondered if she was not dreaming, biting her own lip as she looked up slightly, letting out an awkward laugh. “That looks dangerous, we should go into it to make sure nothing comes out to hurt people!” it was the quickest distraction she could think of, so Leila would not question her lack of communication, or why she was outside the city this late! If they were exploring and fighting something that needed taken care of anyways? There was no way she had to answer any questions right away. With that she took the other girl's hand and attempted to drag both of them through the portal. With or without Leila? That portal was her way out of trouble, so the wind mage was going through no matter what!
The inside of the world beyond the portal? Was filled with clouds and it felt so holy that the wind witch started to feel queasy, everything was so bright it almost felt as if it was burning her. In the first few seconds, the half demoness knew this was a place something like herself should have never touched, and part of her considered asking for god, to be purged of her demonic energies, however she doubted that was even possible, she was born like this, just dormant. Even if she hated her demon heritage? It was still part of her, and one of the few things she had left of her mother. She got lost in thought and the small pricks she felt due to being a demoness in heaven. “Demonic Intruder’s!” it was shouted by one of the winged beings flying around, angels the woman guessed, and she bit her lip. They could tell she was demon?! The female closed her eyes “To The Colosseum With You, To Prove What Happens To Demons That Try To Invade Heaven!” oh crap they totally knew what she was, even with her features hidden, and they were going to fucking execute her?! Jiyu was trembling, her body shaking as the landscape around her changed.
Jiyu almost believed herself back in the forest, but she quickly looked around and noticed the aura was still heaven. Instead of being home? She was in a wilderness themed Colosseum, heck she did not doubt this place to have caves and stuff! Tree’s rose up almost everywhere, a forest surrounding her and giving off a pure light, a pure stream flowing beside her, and she guessed stepping in the water would likely be bad for her, it was probably holy and would likely burn her. “Damn, this place-” she cut off her words when she remembered trying to drag Leila into this world with her, eyes widening. Had the eden mage been mistaken for a demon as well due to standing close to a demonic aura? The wind user whirled around, praying she would not see her friend there. How could she have known heaven was on the other side of that portal?! Kazehime had been so frightened that Leila would see her for the dark demon she was, and reject her, that she had rashly rushed into something she knew nothing about. Normally? She would have done this thing a bit differently, she would have gotten reinforcements before going in! Foolish, she’d be utterly foolish and now it was probably going to get her killed! However her own death was not what frightened Jiyu now. Instead? She was frightened that the innocent and non-demon girl who had followed her, because they were friends, would end up dead! She would be the cause of someone else’s death, first her mother died protecting her and now Leila would die the same way, she couldn’t let it happen.
Deep breath, she had no promise the Golden Pheonix member even followed her! So Jiyu started looking around, seeing if she could spot the other female. Right now? There was no need for panic if she could not confirm the presence of her friend! “Leila?” she called out the name softly, in a near whisper, praying beyond all hope she would hear no reply, because she hoped by some minor miracle her loyal friend had not actually come with her, or that she had been the only one poofed into this arena! Biting her lip the wind mage glanced around, not seeing anything. However? This also meant she did not notice the first wave of monster’s starting, aiming to sneak up behind her and finish her demonic existence off. Considering the forest looked inconspicuous? She never even considered the need to be alert for enemies, the only thing on the demoness mind was finding her friend, of making sure the girl was not here! Once she had done that task, she would become concerned about her own life. Normally she was so self centered, but right now the image of her house in flames, her mother’s corpse already sealed inside, it played over and over in her head, the evil dancing eyes of the man who’d done it! Thinking of this sparked her will to live back into a fully stoked fire. If she died here? No one would kill the man who had murdered her mother, they had not even believed foul play was involved in the elder womans death, it was up to her to do that, avenge her mother. Kazehime would not end up having to avenge someone else, if Leila was here, she would find her and get the eden mage out alive!
Sadly Jiyu was just not in the right mind frame, she was too distracted and concerned, hand fisted in front of her chest. It would not be long until some form of shovel or sword slashed its way through the forest with clear aim towards the witch's head or heart.
