Everything was dark, quiet... gone. The only sound was an echo, a voice. One much like Kei's, but older, deeper. Neyvahn could hear it, somewhere in the corners of his dead mind.
What happened? Why was he there? Wasn't he just with Rien... no... Rye? No! The man grabbed his head, memories fading in and out. What was he doing before this? Home? Sleep? Just... what? Everything was disappearing... memories, voice, sight, even the very little sound still remaining was disappearing. Who was he? What was he? The confused soul began to deteriorate. Even emotions were no longer. No crying, no panic, no fear... just question. Who? What? Where? Why? When?
"Exoptent novem justis, et ego invocabo Neyvahn Keyvolo secundo de anima." A voice whispered through the nothing. Just words, gibberish, no correlation. "Salutem corporis, mens munda et durant, quemadmodum filius meus sapientior erit fortior et magis ego Hekuto." Gibberish? No, something else... "Novus resurget..."
Suddenly, something clicked... "Ney... vahn..." the soul stuttered. The voice became louder, the words shifting and morphing. "Exoptent nine justis, et soul invocabo Neyvahn Keyvolo second de anima." The voices were shimmering, like multiple people repeating the same thing. All of them, they were familiar. "Salutem body, mind munda et pure, quemadmodum will meus stronger and wiser erit fortior the son of Hekuto." The voices... Neyvahn, Kei... and Hekuto... all at once. All three chanted together, Neyvahn saying the words almost involuntarily. "Novus resurget... The new resurget... The new rise."
Neyvahn chanted the incantation by heart, like it was always there. "It is of Neyvahn to achieve nine just chances, and I will call on Neyvahn Keyvolo's second coming of the soul. Health of the body, the mind is pure, and last, just as it will be the stronger and wiser than I am the son of Hekuto. The new will rise." Neyvahn clenched his fists. "I will rise."
A blue glow ran through Neyvahn's blood, spilled across the pavement, across his skin, and through his veins. It began dull, but grew brighter, and brighter, and brighter. In the matter of a few seconds, the blood became blinding as it formed into glowing ribbons of energy. They swirled and spun, forcing anyone within a few metes away. The ribbons tied onto Neyvahn's wrists and ankles, pulling him into an upright cross. Neyvahn shifted in and out of reality, the ribbons spreading across his body, across his wounds, mending them. His eyes shone like spotlights, blue light breaking through his body. The air boomed with a deep tone as the light disappeared, revealing Neyvahn... or so it seemed.
Gold eyes, with no pupils, silver blue hair glowing with the same blood that leaked from his neck. The wound on his neck, in his arm, and on the inside of his disconnected leg... all of them glowed as they moved and shifted. Neyvahn growled, his fangs exposed to the glow. His entire being was covered in the energy as the flurry of ribbons encircled him.
They flowed into his chest, disappearing into his being as he took his first breath. As the glow died down, Neyvahn's body revealed to be reborn... like no mark never existed. Bakeneko, the yokai of nine lives... to live for nine chances...
Neyvahn grinned, a deep purr residing in his throat, where no cut existed anymore. Lucius was right there, Neyvahn's gold, pupiless eyes starting sinisterly at him. "Itto Suruko" All three voices echoed as his skin shimmered with a gold glow. The energy flowed into him, overcharging his body. His strength and his speed skyrocketed as he shot towards Lucius, aiming to plant a fist into his chest. If the lightning-quick attack hit, then Neyvahn would proceed to thrust the attack forward and launch Lucius back.
He wasn't done. A dark blue aura swirled around Neyvahn, an aura darker than before. It curled up his arms and towards his hands as Neyvahn lifted his hand towards Lucius. "Korukya!" A cold aura formed in Neyvahn's hand and shot out towards Lucius in a wide spread ice attack. Tiny shards of freezing ice shot out in a flurry of cold energy as Neyvahn leaped forwards to lead up the attack with a knee to the stomach. He would extend his leg out for a kick if the knee did not connect. Neyvahn grinned, his eyes focused on Lucius. "Here I am, Lucius. Care to play?"
