Izayuki Hyoujin ♦ Black Rose ♦ B Rank
There was a positive side to having spent years in a humble human village. From a young age, Izayuki had been taught a small number of basic skills in trade. Hunting, as if she could not already, gathering, protecting with swordplay, cooking, which she still sucked at, and crafting. She had always avoided sewing and knitting, and her coordination and patience with such things was nonexistent back in the day. Heck, it was not even existent now, with her attention span so short.
Still, her training in crafting had not been a complete failure. Even working with the most delicate of items could prove fruitful if she tried hard enough. Focusing her unique magic from her youkai energy, Izayuki managed to generate a medium-sized leaf in between her clasped palms with a bright light. Opening her hands, the light faded, leaving behind the tsukumogami, or in other words, an item that was a youkai. Taking the leaf, Izayuki tested its durability, ensuring that it was indeed indestructible and unable to be torn. From there, she would manipulate the energy of the leaf to make it less flimsy, more solid, glossy, and overall a jewel to look at. It was much more elegant than the average perfect leaf, after all. Izayuki took care to add a thin pin on the back part of it.
There was a reason to why Izayuki was focusing on such things. Elyx had never told her the date of his birth before, but finding records and his file was an easy feat for any Ace of Black Rose. Having done that, June 27th had always been in her mind, and that was today. She had gone out shopping earlier that day, and after browsing for a long while, something finally stuck out to the pink-haired mage. She did not want to get something that her boyfriend already had, after all. She crashed at his house enough to have developed a fair idea of what he owned and more... but the thing that pink eyes settled on was a light blue scarf. It was similar to her own, but obviously quite masculine, and on top of everything, it was his favorite color: a light, sky blue.
For once, Izayuki purchased the scarf with real jewels, and not leaves that she skillfully disguised as jewels with bakedanuki perception manipulation. If she was going to buy something for someone she cared about, she would be honest with the transaction, and not 'steal'. Having taken the scarf home, 'home' being Elyx's house after ensuring that he was away, Izayuki pinned the leaf to the scarf and placed the present in a white gift bag with navy tissue paper- it was all she could find, and screw gift-wrapping paper. That stuff was irritating.
It was nearing the evening hours, and surely Elyx would be home soon. She had purchased chocolate candy bars for him as well, and planned to take him out for cake later, or perhaps the next day. Really, it was up to him. It was his special day after all, and Izayuki was hoping to spoil him as best as she could.
