Description:
Phantom Bite is a holder type magic that the Mage Vaia uses. The name comes from the weapon she wields, a long double edged, black blade which she dubbed "Phantom's Bite" The sword was made of a rare kind of metal, which blessed it with the compatibility to be infused with magic. The sword shares some sort of spiritual link to Vaia, making her the only mage who can use it. Because of this, the sword acts as a conduit for raw magic power to be focused from its shaft, and releases concentrated energy of pure magic power, giving it a purple effect in the process. The limits are nearly endless for this weapon, and Vaia knows this. The sword's magic can be extremely versatile, allowing Vaia access to a plethora of different spells. Ranging from significant speed impacts, to stronger resistance, and deadly damage. It can even produce projectiles. But the sword's name is more then just a title. The sword was once a regular weapon, but a powerful phantom like being was sealed inside it. Now, the blade feeds off this phantom's power, giving it powers to alter the physical and spiritual worlds. Because of this, it has a natural strength when dealing with undead beings who still retain their souls. A darker aspect about the weapon, but has yet to be proven is that it traps the souls of every victim it kills... However there are some drawbacks. If Vaia is not careful enough, the phantom sealed inside the weapon can try and gain influence in her mind if her emotions get out of control, or if she uses certain spells too often.
Vaia's Sword: Phantom Bite
Strengths:
-Undead: Because of its strong affinity with spirits, Phantom Bite can use this to gain the upper hand on undead creatures who have not yet passed into the spiritual plain. Its attacks being more devastating towards undead then any other.
-Versatile: As mentioned before, the weapon can be extremely adaptable in many situations through the help of the Phantom's soul.
-Awareness: Because of the weapon being possessed by a powerful spirit, it increases Vaia's awareness extensively. Being able to sense movements or actions of others seconds before they land their goals, giving her very fast reaction time.
Weaknesses:
-Friendly Risk: The magic is harmful to anyone, therefore it can risk hurting allies or bystandards with effective AoE spells.
-Phantom Influence: If Vaia is using the weapon for extensive periods of time at once, her mind can start to become corrupted by the Phantom... Making her actions unpredictable.
-Soul Trapping: A major weakness. Vaia's soul is linked to the sword's, therefore any harmful effects dealt to the blade will be reflected onto her as well.
-Unpredictable: Because of the phantom sealed inside the blade, the sword can sometimes react dangerously at random if it isn't sheathed. Because of this, it is vital for Vaia to have it sheathed whenever she is not in combat.

Description: A long time ago, someone consulted an ancient Oracle, who was said to have never failed in his prophecies before. After the exchange of many gifts, the passing of many favours and a good deal of ka-ching in the mix, the Oracle gave him a prophecy: that the forty-second generation mage of that someone's bloodline would become a true hero, worthy of ballads and plays, loved by both the sky, the ocean and the earth, the gods and the people, that would wipe out any enemy or overcome all hurdles to achieve transcendence on par with the heavens. And you know what, that forty-second generation mage is you! Yes, throughout your entire childhood, this prophecy has been relayed to you over and over again and it has instilled within you a rare and powerful confidence or expectation, depending on how you took it. Of course, no one ever told you that the same prophecy has been passed down to sixty other long-distance descendants in the same generation as you, but you won't supposed to know that now, won't you?
Ability: The confidence that your journey is backed by omnipotent gods has never been more self-assured and indomitable. Whenever you make an attack, sometimes this confidence can really get to your head, pushing you to pour in everything you got in that attack, safe in the knowledge that the gods, who will surely be backing a Main Character like you, will make it strike true. Or will they? If you fail to hit, your resolve falters by a lot, you stumble(for close-combat) or freeze(for ranged) and in the shock of your failure, you are vulnerable to a single attack. But don't worry, you will get over it.
A single attack or magic will be given double the damage of its original as well as having a 50% increase in speed(projectile or melee) but it will not overcome a spell of a higher rank no matter what. The amount of magical energy used, if the attack is a spell, would be doubled. If an opponent blocks successfully, he gets one free hit in of any of his spells(if multi-projectile, only one projectile) and the user gets hit for double damage due to the shock weakening his defense. Note: Charge-up spells will not be viable for the free hit by the opponent.
Usage: Instant/single use for 1 spell or attack with a 6 post cooldown before this effect can be done again. 10 posts if failed to hit.

- -Phantom Step: As long as Vaia has her sword, she is given ghost like reflexes, giving her superhuman agility. 35% Speed Buff.
- Undead Slayer:
- -Undead Slayer: All of Vaia's attacks do 25% more damage to undead opponents.
- Spirit Sight:
- -Spirit Sight: Vaia's eyes will turn a shade of deep violet, allowing her to pierce the souls of living beings, and predicting their next move by watching their spirits. This ability let's Vaia dodge a single spell with a 3 post cooldown.

Description: Vaia's blade will begin to glow a bright purple color, increasing it's speed and damage from a regular blade by 25% with each strike. Releasing a pink and purple magic power with every swing.

-25% more damage to undead opponents
-Can wound spirits if effectively used, causing mental weakness.

-Requires Concentration

Description: Phatnom Bite will begin to glow a bright purple color. Vaia's next strike will be horizontal or diagonal, and release a long arc of spiritual magic, dealing damage to anything that gets in its way. The arch will travel at a max speed of 8 m/s and be 8 feet tall or wide. It has a max range of 40 feet before dissipating. (Depending on the direction of the sword slash.)
Strengths:
-Fast.
-Can be used to block projectiles. (Up to one C rank Spell)
Weaknesses:
-Skinny arcs can be easy to dodge.
-Easily blocked.
-Predictable from long distances.

Description: Phantom Bite will begin to glow with a deep red color, and when this happens Vaia will raise it in the air, before violently stabbing it into the ground with both her hands. The surface all around her within a 10 meter radius will begin to crack, red spiritual energy bursting from the cracks, doing damage to anything it encounters.
Strengths:
-Large area of effect.
-Can blow opponents back several feet.
Weaknesses:
-Can cause collateral damage, and hurt allies.
-Significantly increases the Phantom's control over Vaia's mind with each use.
-Temporary vulnerable for attack from opponent's out of range of the spell.

Description: As Phantom Bite begins to glow, Vaia will slash the air in front of her in an "X" shape pattern. The result will leave two purple magic streaks in the air in the same shape. After an instant, the sides of the "X" will connect, and form a magical barrier capable of defending against basic spells. The "X" is 10 feet tall and 10 feet wide. It can withstand up to two D rank spells or 1 C rank spell worth of damage.
Strengths:
-Quick and reliable.
-Uses little magic power to re create.
Weaknesses:
-Can't take a lot of punishment.
-Can only protect form in one direction.
-Can cause a deadly explosion to those at close range if it's destroyed.
