A Warning in Flames [Job]

The job had taken much more time than she had wanted, but it was all for the best result. She needed more souls, and this was one of the many ways she could accomplish her ultimate goal. Everything had been perfectly set up and all that she needed was for the time to be right and everything would be perfect.

A few days ago she had stumbled upon another job board in this place called the ‘Neutral Grounds’. Funny name, it was. As funny as how the place was itself. Magic seemed to be forbidden because whenever Freya decided to use her magical abilities on someone she wanted to kill, it did not work. For whatever reason, her magic had no effect in this place. It was either the place that had this sort of limitation, or it was the people here who probably despised the use of magic. It was probably an assembly of those who were not wizards in Fiore. So much hate for the gifted ones...Anubis could feel the same hate. Her counterpart, the Goddess of Life was living peacefully in the Realm without human bullshit. She was probably having the time of her life without Anubis around. How annoying. The thought made her face scrunch up in disgust. This was no time to be thinking of what was happening in the Realm. It was time to begin the show. So a rundown of what had been done in the past twenty four hours:

First of all, Freya could barely do anything with her magic since it was restricted within the Neutral Grounds. Thus the reason Freya had to find an alternative. Lacrima did not work either, so she had to think of this a bit. She knew a good way to burn down things and that was rather dangerous. Not only a farm, but the neighboring farms could be burnt down as well. Not that Freya cared. She just did not want to lose the reward for doing the unnecessary. She might as well have them burn after receiving the reward. So she went out of town to purchase a large amount of wildfire, enough to burn a single farm, and spread outwards to the other farms. Freya had successfully placed the containers of wildfire in every location she had selected in her mini map of the farm and its surrounding area. They were mainly in the underground areas. The farms were in the outskirts of the Neutral Grounds, so the underground tunnels did not connect, and it was a bit harder than she had wanted. This did not stop her though, of course.

Freya had already travelled into town, making sure she was as far away from the farm as possible. She had never tried wildfire before, and truth be told, she did not want her life to end in flames. So as she ordered a cup of warm milk tea, a tremor rippled the Earth, causing a mini earthquake as she balanced herself not to fall. The job was done; Freya smiled, feeling revived by the lost souls.
