The Seasons Don't Fear the Reaper
Taliya felt her body pushed to the side, falling to her butt only to see a liquidy person, who Taliya assumed to be her adored 'Naonao' get pelted by the shotgun blast. A look of dread came over her. The dread, however, washed away as she saw Nao return to his normal body, still perfectly in-tact and not bleeding all over the place. She stood up and wagged her fluffy tail before moving in front of Nao, as if to protect him from the attacks. "You're silly, Naonao! You didn't have to protect me like that!" she said with fire burning in her eyes. A toothy grin came across her face before turning to look towards Anastasia. "Anastasia! Look out!" she shouted out.
Nao's and Taliya's voice called out for her to notice a man directly in front of the two. Her mouth opened wide for a moment and as instinct told her to protect Almyra, something terrifying happened. A single hand went through the mask and causing havoc underneath the face-covering. She had seen this once before; when the Red Sands Bandits killed her family and friends at the village. And then a few shots were sent straight into Almyra. A spell was charged in her hand out of pure reflex and before she was able to resolve the spell, the two of them vanished. "What the hell?" she questioned before turning around and looking out below the mech.
More wails of agony was heard from the man named Charles as, if what she saw was exactly what happened before, his face began to melt or decay. It would be a gruesome scene from an extremely violent movie if not for the covering of his mask; protecting everyone's eyes for the gore that was to happen. It seemed, however, that everywhere that Almyra touched started to decay the man. The more Almyra touched him, the more he struggled to get free.
"I got you, Almyra!" she said as she turned to look towards Nao and Taliya, giving them a smile and a thumbs up. She wanted to tell them that she was okay. "Give Almyra a hand and hold the man down!" she shouted out to the two. Taliya nodded to Anastasia and rushed off to the man's left side and tried to hold down all of his arms. She sat on one of the arms with her knee and held the other one down with her arms. She held down one of the arms with her right hand while punching his elbow with the other repeatedly. She continued to punch that elbow until a sickening crack could be heard.
