With the ability to attack on par with the ferocious beings, Dragon Slayers soon won the war for humanity. But the greed of humans did not wish to return the gift that the Elder Dragons had given them. Another blood bath has ensued, and only a handful of dragons had lived past that terrible fate. In their refusal to be swept away in an aftermath of hatred, A group of Dragons, and a small amount of humans fled, hiding the misty mountains that laid on the edge of a future Midi. Here they collaborated a pact between the remaining humans and Dragons to preserve their legacy for the world. They crafted a form of customs, and with the trust of Dragons, they crafted a powerful magic to battle along side Slayers, and never against them. This group of humans and Slayers became known as Dragon Saints, a reclusive cult that carries on a long lineage of children born from Slayers. While they do not possess Dragon Slayer magic, they certainly retain some aspects handed down throughout the generations. Today, those aspects are the physical aesthetic traits of a Dragon Slayer, meaning elongated fangs, and eyes that mimic those of the great serpents. Whenever a child is born, and displays these traits, the babe is taken away from the mother and undergoes intense training. They are collected for one purpose only; to protect all Dragon's and Dragon Slayers. While, they will not avidly seek out the individuals that possess the magic, they will keep a close eye and an ear to the ground for trouble.
