Descend into Darkness (Wolfe Exam)

Wolfe woke up that morning with a grin on his face, and a fire in his soul.

Today was the day...

Today was the day of his exam to obtain A rank. It was just another stepping stop for Wolfe though. He had his eyes on a much higher mountain. However, first things first. Wolfe jumped out of bed, making sure to give Ravana a kiss on her forehead as she slept. He ran over and threw on his pants, socks and boots and ran out the door, not even bothering to grab a shirt of any kind, and in mid step there was a flash as a bolt shot up into the sky and Wolfe was gone instantly.

Shortly after Ardere arrived there was a flash of light as a bolt crashed down from the sky and with a small *Boom* there stood Wolfe as he was now here and ready.

He listened to Arderes instructions and smirked "Awww. Thats all? and here i thought you had something hard in mind." Wolfe gave a light laugh as he winked at Ardere as he walked past him and right into the edge of the woods. In truth he knew if this was Ardere's test for him, but Wolfe was a monster and Ardere knew it too, so he had to keep face if nothing else.

'Monster Dice' :

Wolfe wasn't even that far in when he heard the howls in the distance. Wolfe stopped and listened as with each howl the sound drew closer to his current location. He could tell instantly these were not normal wolves.... they were werewolves. He would never mistake the sound. He had recently finished a job with Rune Knight and his partner involving werewolves.

Well at least he knew what he was up against. Wolfe decided to conserve himself for what lied ahead and jumped up to one of the branches and pulled himself up. He then jumped to a much fuller tree, and then to another to mash his scent away from the last place he had been touching the ground. He then hide in the leaves as he waited for the beast to show themselves.

It didn't take long for them to descend upon his scent, but as they reached the area they started to look around confused just as he had hoped and in a moment he made his move. Wolfe sat crouched on the branch is hands down between his legs holding the branch, he pulled himself down towards the ground and pushed off the branch with his legs as he plummeted straight down at break neck speed. The poor Lycan never stood a chance as Wolfe pulled back his right arm and then swung straight down and landed the punch on the top of the lycan's spine and there was a cracking sound as his body went limp and gave no resistance as Wolfe's force drove it right into the ground and created a small cater under them. As the body hit the ground Wolfe pulled his arm back and as he landed in the back of the beast he tucked and rolled. As he came out of his roll one of the other lycans was turning back in confusion to the sound and Wolfe used the momentum of his roll to spring right into a full sprint and he started to run past the lycan and reached his right hand out and with an open palm he caught the beast in the throat as he continued his forward sprint.

The poor lycan was swept right off his feet by Wolfe, and couldn't even make a sound with Wolfe's hand wrapped around it's throat. Wolfe did a turning step, making sure not to lose any speed or momentum as he ran past another lycan who had also just turned around. Wolfe slammed the one he was holding into the new one and continued to sprint, catching the two of them together and after a few more steps slammed both of them into a trunk of a large tree. Wolfe made and abrupt stop as the two of them slammed into the trunk of the tree. the two bodies slamming into each other. Wolfe then then spun around and landed a round house kick into the first of the two and slammed them both back into the tree. The tree gave way to the force of the hit and one that Wolfe's kick hit fell limp and the other one went through the broken tree and fell to the ground the large trunk falling down on top of him.

Wolfe turned just in time to catch one of the lycans and had just enough time to throw his hands up and catch it's jaws before it could bite down on Wolfe's chest, but he couldn't stop the force of it's run and the beast shoved him backwards into a tree with a loud *THUD* Wolfe let out a low grunt. This one was stronger then he had given it credit for. However, he didn't have time to ponder on it as the last one came from his right side with him still pinned to the tree and went to claw him. Wolfe tried to pull himself away from the one pinning him and shift to his left. Wolfe was quick, but not quick enough. as the tips of it's claws caught him in the side giving him three small cuts on his side. Luckily they weren't deep and a light lightning should be enough to heal them later. Wolfe still had the laws of the one that had pinned him and as he was being pushed back again Wolfe willingly fell backwards and as the beast tumbled forward with him, he out his leg up and caught the beast in the stomach and as he rolled he kicked him up and over Wolfe throwing him into the air and into a tree about 5 meters meters away.

Wolfe did a kick up and landed on his feet just in time to catch the other one running right at him. Wolfe turned and took off in the direction of a large tree trunk jst a little bit away from where he was standing, the beast right behind him. As Wolfe reached the tree he started to run up it and just as the beast reached the tree, Wolfe kicked off and and did a back flip landing right behind the lycan. Before the beast could react, Wolfe stepped forward and wrapped his hands around the waist of the beast and lifted straight up backwards as he suplex the beast into the ground.

Just as Wolfe released the body and as it rolled over, he did another kick up and landed on his feet and turned to see the beast he has just thrown into the tree making it way at him in a full run. Wolfe thought fast and before the beast laying next to him could move to get back on his feet, he leaned down and grabbed it's leg and started to spin as he picked it up and and swung it and hit the oncoming one with it. He released one he was holding just as the two collided and they both went flying into a tree. Their bodies bounced off the tree into different directions and hit the ground in two large lumps as their bodies went limp. Wolfe took a second to stop and look around to make sure he didn't miss any before he took a second to take a deep breath and calm down.

'Monster Dice' :

Wolfe took a look around as he gauged where he was. As he took a second to think about it he realized he was barely even into the  forest, and he had already ran into a pack of beast, but he wasn't really getting anywhere. His goal was to reach the other side, not to clean the forest out, so he needed to get to the prize, and with that he took a moment to gauge north and and then turned to face the direction of the edge he was looking to meet Ardere at and took off at full speed.

Wolfe was making amazing time as he bolted through the forest. However, it didn't take long before he knew that streak of luck was over as he heard the sounds of howling. From what he could tell it sounded very much like the pack he had already run into, but then he heard something else. Another set of howls, but there was something drastically different about this set of howls. Wolfe realized they were higher on the food chain, and that meant they might actually be a decent fight.

Wolfe ran right at the sound of the two groups knowing he just needed to get this over with and emerge the beast he was. Wolfe heard as the howls got closer and closer till then almost instantly he ran through a huge bush as there they were. Both packs were there and almost seemed to be waiting on him.

Last time Wolfe had set up and planned his attack, this time he planned on being a bit more "up in their face" about it. Wolfe picked out the first of the obviously stronger lycans and ran straight at him, not slowing his pace at all. The beast turned to Wolfe with the intent on tearing him up. However, Wolfe had other plans and just feet from the two of them clashing Wolfe pulled back his right arm mid run and all the sudden three bolts of lightning came crashing down through the trees and connected with Wolfe as he activated his form. Lightning arced off Wolfe's body as his speed and strength increased drastically.

The Lycan was shocked by the sudden flash of light and flinched for a second as it turned it's head and in the second Wolfe closed the distance and swung his right fist forward and connected with the beast mid chest. As the hit connected Wolfe followed through with the punch with everything he had and  even gave it a little extra as he twisted his wrist upon impact. The lycan never stood a chance as it was sent flying backwards, its body spinning in midair into a tree. the tree gave way from the force of the impact and snapped as the beast's body flew past it and into another tree where it just fell to the ground to the ground in a broken heap.

Wolfe stopped as he  watched the effect of his hit unfold, the rest of the beast doing the same. As the body fell limp to the ground all the beast turned to look at Wolfe as he held his out to his sides and roared like a beast "ROARRRRRR!!!" the deep bellowing of his roar resonated through the forest as it suddenly got quiet. All the best took a step back as it was obvious that Wolfe was claiming the spot of Alpha at that point.

His plan worked to a point as the weaker pack seemed to whimper a little and back down. however, after a few second the two beta lycans decided they had no intention on letting this go without a fight, and both of them jumped Wolfe at the same time. Wolfe didn't move as the two beast came from both sides and as they each reached him they both opened their maws and bit down on his shoulder on each side. Wolfe winced at the pain, but this was far from over as he  let out a low growl and then started to surge electricity through his body.

It only took a few seconds before the currents started to pulse into their mouths and into their bodies, both of the lycan's eyes opening wide from the pain. They both pulled their bite from Wolfe with a whimper, their heads pulling back from the pain. Wolfe wasted no time as he entered what looked like a blur of hey-maker punches between the two lycans. Wolfe would swing his right hand over and hit the left lycan in the stomach and as he pulled his arm back he would elbow the lycan to his right, then he would use his left fist to back hand the left lycan and swing it across and jab the  side of the right lycan. Wolfe's fist were like blurs as each hit landed and whimpers could be heard. Wolfe finished them off as he stepped forward with his left foot and now he was standing in between them. He then crouched and suddenly jumped jump doing a back flip. As he flipped, he kicked out his right leg and caught the lycan in front of him with the toe of his boot, sending it flaying backwards into the air and onto it's back. As he continued his flip he brought the ip of his toe down on the top of the lycan behind him, knocking him straight down to the ground.

Wolfe landed in a crouch as he looked up and around at the rest of the lycans. Up to this point they had been to scared to jump in, but now that the betas were down they had to attack or run, and it looked like they were about to make a very bad choice as they started to growl and prep for attack. Wolfe just smirked as he wasn't planing on letting them get the first attack and he dashed at the one right in front of him.

The lycan in front of him prepped for Wolfe's attack and went in for a bite. however, Wolfe wasn't going to have any of that nonsense ad jumped up and leap frogged right over the lycan as he threw done his right hand landing it on the top of the lycan's snout and sailing right over it's head. Wolfe put his right foot out and just as it hit the ground he pivoted on it turning his whole body as he did. He threw down both hands and caught his fingers into the earth and brought himself to an instant stop. He then used his strength to throw himself forward as he started running as well. He picked up speed instantly and by the time the lycan turned around to see where Wolfe was, he was already about to run past him on his right side, and Wolfe had his left arm extended.

The beast was laid out as it fell backwards from getting clotheslined. Wolfe came to a stop a few feet later and turned to see three of the beast jumping for him. Wolfe  lifted his leg  up and dropped it on the chest of the on on it's back taking care of it, and just as the two beast were about to catch him from the sides he turned into a bolt and shot straight down to the earth. The two lycans landed only inches from each other as their head shot down to try and watch the bolt Wolfe had turned into. However, Wolfe was already on the move as he arced right off the ground towards on of the other two that had been a little slower and was still running at where the other two had landed. The arc shot down and landed just under the lycan as it tried to stop as quick as it could but iit was too late and just as it passed over the bolt Wolfe reformed and reached out his hand and grabbed the back of the lycan's neck and pulled him back, yanking it's legs out from under it. Wolfe then with all his force pulled the creature down to the ground slamming it on it's back, Wolfe letting go only moments before impact.

As the body hit the ground Wolfe reached his left hand back and swung it up and then down punching the beast in the middle of it's forehead. knocking it out and creating a small crater from the impact. Wolfe was hit from the right as the other one he hadn't dodged him him with a solid headbutt and swipe. Wolfe manged to roll with the slice so it wasn't deep, but there were three obvious slashes on his chest now to go with the very light slice in his side and the bite marks on both shoulders.

Wolfe landed in a crouching position from the roll, and rolled right back forward at the beast that had just swiped him, putting him right in the lycan's face. Wolfe then brought his right arm up for a quick uppercut. As it landed the beast stumbled back slightly, and Wolfe pushed himself up from his crouching position into a jump with his knee out. The beast was caught with a knee to the chin causing him to be knocked off his feet and onto his back. Wolfe landed on the other side of the beast and turned to see the other two running full speed at him, so Wolfe did the only thing he could think of to slow them down, and reached down and grabbed the beast on the ground by his feet with both hands by his shoulders and picked him up as he spun and as he finished his rotation he release the beast throwing it at the two incoming lycans. Wolfe took off in a dash right behind the body in flight. Of the two incoming Lycan only one reacted quick    enough to jump to the side and dodge. Wolfe smirked as the other one caught the air born lycan right in the chest, and Wolfe took his opening as he shoulder rammed the back of the body knocking both of them back, then as they started to fly backwards, Wolfe took one more step and did a yuhp kick sending them both flying backwards into a tree trunk. Wolfe then turned to the other lycan who was now recovering from his dodge, and Wolfe ran up and bent down as he spread out his arms and connected is right shoulder to the beast's waist and wrapped both arms around him like he was about to tackle him, but then Wolfe shifted his body weight spun around the beast as so he was now behind it and with all his strength he lifted the beast up and started to lean back as he suplexed the beast.

Wolfe took a second as both of the last two lycans were slowly trying to get up and he then did a kick up and landed on his feet. He walked over to the closer of the two and looked down at it as it looked up at him and Wolfe just lifted his foot and dropped it in the center of it's chest causing it to pass out and go limp. He turned around to see the one that had caught the flying lycan body shakingly get to it's feet. Wolfe just started to walk over to it and the beast in one last attempt tried to take a wide swing at Wolfe. Wolfe just caught it by it's wrist with his left hand and pulled his right arm back and landed a solid punch right into it's snout causing it to stumble back and fall backwards knocked out.

Wolfe surveyed the scene for a few second and then took a moment to look around and get his bearing and started in a nice jog for the edge of the  forest.

It didn't take too long before he could see the edge and slowed his pace. A minuted or so later Wolfe broke the  treeline in a mild walk as he was now ready to see his guild master and see what was up, a smirk on his face.

Standing on the opposite side of the lycan forest, Ardere had utilized his phoenix to soar high above the woods, through the dense fog in a short amount of time. He now stood, waiting the arrival of his guild member; Wolfe. His task was something he definitely possessed the skill to complete with ease, but it would drain some of his energy for the final task; something much more sinister. Looking off into the distance, red lightning sparked across the sky, flashing ominously. Letting out a deep breath, he was not there for long by the time the lightning mage had reappeared. He did not seem massively injured or beaten, but he imagined running through all of those lycans had given him quite the warm up. Nice to see you alive, old friend. Pointing off in the distance, a rather large castle was perched into the side of a mountain. It appeared almost the size of Infinity Hydra, but more Minstrel looking than Midi styled. That is a dark guild, called Blood Moon. They employ the use of murderers, beasts, and many dark creatures of the night. They rarely leave the Cursed Lands, but when they do, you know it. Be careful in there. All I can tell you is their leader is one Hell of a man, who uses his own members as scientific experiments. There are four levels. Make it to the top, and then meet me on the roof. Good luck old boy. Giving a casual salute to the young mage, his pulse accelerated. This part of the task would be much harder, as the destination was more dangerous than the journey. But he held confidence in his own members, especially the one he had chosen to be his new Head of Destruction. The creatures he would face, could give even a grown man nightmares. But he would need the experience for the battles coming.

Each level must have at least 750 words 

Castle Pain:

Wolf walked up next to his guild master and friend just as he welcomed him. Wolfe jjust gave a slight nod as he spoke, “You too, but its been a cake walk so far, so lets see what else you got for me man”. He watched as Ardere pointed out to the distance and explained about the castle and the happening inside of it. It seemed Ardere wanted Wolfe to take care of the castle and the inhabitants inside of it, and from what he had explained it was something Wolfe would be more than happy to do. Just as Ardere gave him a salute, Wolfe gave him a small one back and turned towards the castle. Then a smirk crossed his face as he turned into a bolt of lightning and shot across the darkened sky right towards the front door of the castle.

Wolfe landed with a loud thud right in front of the door and without even giving a moment’s chance for anyone in the castle to react to his presence, if they knew at all. Wolfe lifted his right leg and thrusted his foot forward and with all his might he kicked the large castle door inward and off it’s hinges and flying into the large main room of the castle. The other door kicked inward as well and ripped half off it’s hinges and was hanging open. There was a loud commotion for a second or so from the reaction before the huge door flew across the room and ended up flying into the wall on the other side of the room. There were a few screams as a vampire and two serial killers were smashed to death by the door smashing into the wall and a few others were hit by the door midair and sent flying in random directions.

Wolfe gave an almost evil grin as he spoke “Hello gents, I am Wolfe and I am here to wipe all of you from the face of the planet.” Then without giving the rest of the what was left a chance to even process what was happening, or what he said Wolfe dashed forward right into a group of four of them and as soon as they were realizing he was right on them it was too late. Wolfe reached out with one hand and grabbed the top of the head of the man in front of him and with extreme force he pulled his head down and forward as Wolfe brought his right knee up and connected with the man’s face and there was a shattering sound as the front of his skull cracked and caved in killing him instantly. Just as the skull of the mn hit his knee Wolfe let it go and reached both hands out to his sides and grabbed two of the other men by the base of their necks and with immense force he pulled his two arms towards each other and slammed the two men’s faces together. As their skulls smashed together and heads flew backwards from the impact. As their heads flew back Wolfe released his hands from their necks and brought his hands inward and thrusted them outward chopping each of them in the neck, caving in their throats and killing both of them.

As their bodies fell backwards the forth guy finally started to react as he took step forward and pulled a knife from under his arm and went to take a swing right at Wolfe’s throat. Wolfe leaned backward as he ducked out of the way of the swing and swung his left arm up and caught the man’s arm mid swing and redirected his momentum so the man’s knife was thrusted back at him and he stabbed himself in the ribs and with a grunt the man fell to his knees and then his body fell in a lump onto the floor.

Just the body fell to the ground Wolfe turned around to see the rest of the room glaring at him with eyes of hatred as they started to barrel down upon him. Wolfe just smiled as about five more of the dark mages reached him, each one throwing a different spell at Wolfe. He just crossed his arms in front of him as he crouched slowly as all of the spells hit him at the same time.
*KA-BOOM!!*
There was no sound as the smoke began to settle. Then there was a lite giggle as the smoke settled and Wolfe uncrossed his arms with a smirk on his face. Then without giving the mages a chance to recover Wolfe dashed forward and phased right behind the closest mage and threw his arms forward and wrapped them around the mage’s waist and pulled him backwards towards Wolfe as he lifted and in one swift move he suplexed the mage. There was a snapping sound as Wolfe rolled away to the side towards one of the other mages now dashing at Wolfe. He rolled into a low dash right at the mage and as the mage drew a sword and took a swing at Wolfe he ducked under the blade and rose up into an uppercut that landed in right into the mage’s chin sending him flying up and backwards into one of the other mages. Wolfe then dashed forward and rose up his leg and caught the knocked out body with a well-placed round house kick sending both the knocked out body and the mage it had slammed into backwards and into the wall causing it to cave in and taking out both of the mages.

Wolfe didn’t let up his onslaught as he continued to break necks and cave in skulls and throats as he dashed from vampire to vampire and serial killers. Wolfe had no remorse as he killed each of these monsters and sent them from this world into the next. Wolfe finished up as he grabbed the last two in a reverse headlocks at the same time and thrusted his body up and back snapping both of their necks. He released both of the bodies and they fell to the floor on each side of him in a lump. Wolfe then turned towards the stairwell and began to make his way to the staircase and up towards the second level of this hell castle. He had a lot more monsters to take out before he got to the top and could take out the head of this monster guild and end the darkness of his messed up experiments.

Wolfe came to the top of the steps and to a large single metal door. He kicked itopen as he reached it and walked through it landing him into a huge room. Wolfe had to take a second to really take in his surroundings. He was standing in the middle of a huge torture room filled with serial killer mages, torture devices, dead bodies and gore everywhere. It took a second for Wolfe to really take it in, but as he did, his anger began to rise at the thought of all the horrible things that had to happened in this room, and it started to make him think of all the torture he had endured during his childhood.

The dark mages in the room where already waiting for Wolfe and as he was standing there they started to run at him and a few even went to throw a various group of spells at him. However, Wolfe’s rage was so immense the area around his body began to shift as arcs of lightning began to arc off of him. Wolfe’s anger reached its limits just as two of the mages reached him and in a moment of explosion of power lightning shot out in all directions and the two mages were ripped apart from the sheer force of the lighting exploding from Wolfe’s body. The few spells that had been thrown at him exploded in mid air as they hit the force of magic radiating from Wolfe in his rage. Then without warning, before the dust could even settle Wolfe phased from where he was right into the middle of a group of 4 of the mages and in and instant he threw both his hands out and caught their necks and snapped them. He let go of the two mages and grabbed the other two by their necks and snapped them before the other two bodies had even hit the floor.

The rest of the mages in the room realized they were not fighting just some chump and began to rush him as a group. Wolfe turned to face the oncoming group as he let out a low growl and dashed forward at the oncoming group. As the first mage reached him Wolfe ducked under his weapon as he swung at Wolfe’s head and with all his rage he thrusted his fist forward with such power his fist hit the mage and ripped right through his body and ripped out of the back of him and with the same force his fist hit the mage behind him and caused his entire chest to cave in as blood shot out of his mouth. Wolfe pulled his hand back and as the two bodies fell to the floor in a bloody heap. Just as this happened, one mage caught Wolfe with a kick to his side. Wolfe grabbed the mages leg at the ankle and pulled him around and with his other hand grabbed the man’s wrist and pulled so hard the man ripped apart near the center of his body and intestines spilled out all over the floor and Wolfe then began to use the two pieces of the man as weapons as he started to beat random dark mages to death with his impromptu weapons. After a few of the mages fell to Wolfe’s rage the rest started to realize this was nothing but a blood bath and began to run. However, in his rage Wolfe wasn’t going to have any of this and he started phase stepping and cutting off their escape routes and ending each of them in the vicious way he could with each of them as he ripped them from limb to limb.

Wolfe couldn’t help but unleash years of pent up rage as he attacked each of these monsters with murderous intent. The sight of all the dead bodies and from what Ardere had told him about the horrible things that happened here enraged Wolfe so much his sense of humanity was more than slightly skewed at the moment.

As Wolfe took a second to calm down he looked around at his handy work and actually had to really look deep down to think about what he had just done. Even though these guys were monsters, Wolfe was giving into an almost equal darkness at the moment. He took a second as he closed his eyes and focused to calm down. He knew he still had two more floors to go through, but he needed to calm his blood lust a little, as he knew he had the ability for a pretty dark streak in him.

After a few moments of calming down, Wolfe opened his eyes and looked around the room and began to walk over to each of the torture devices and rip them apart and destroy them so they could never be used again. As he finished about half the room was on fire from the destruction as he walked over to the base of the steps leading up to the next level of the castle and began his accent to the next level of this hellish place.

As Wolfe made his accent up the stairs he heard no sounds from the upcoming door and the eerie silence struck Wolfe as more than odd. He started to slow down a little as he came up to the door and listen carefully to see if he could hear anything, but still only silence. He cautiously opened the door into a room that was pitch black. Wolfe could swear he could feel others in the room, but whoever they were, they were hiding well, and seemed to almost blend in with darkness. Wolfe made his way more than a few steps into the room when the door slammed shut behind him. Wolfe stopped where he was and he could feel as the bodies in the shadow started to move a lot more. It was ow obvious to him what they were trying to do, and he couldn’t help but smile.
These guys thought this was going to help them get the jump on him? Well he began to smile he finally heard a single soft but dark, and deep voice echo through the darkness “Why are smiling? We can see you just fine and we are many. Prepare to die you fool….” The voice seemed to trail right back into the darkness that it has come from.

Wolfe slowly began to laugh. It started as a low laugh until he was bursting out in a full out riot of laughter. Wolfe laughed for a about a minute before he started to finally calm down enough to finally answer “Well it’s just that you just assume I would bust in here and have some rudimentary element like darkness be the circumstance that halts my onslaught on your guildhall…” As he spoke his laughter slowly dying out till by the end of his statement in which he was now slowly shaking his head back and forth in disappointment. After a few seconds of shaking his head he raised his right arm to mid chest level and held out his open hand, palm up and smirked. Only moments later light started to slowly form as light arcs of lightning started to ripple off of his palm, and then slowly started to envelop his whole arm as they got larger, and within only a few more moments his whole body was covered with a almost glowing effect as lighting arced off of every inch of body randomly. The arcs would illuminate most of the room as they rippled off of Wolfe, and as they did he could see the bodies of his enemies as they had been standing around him using the dark to hide themselves.

As he looked around he could see their expressions change from looks of cockiness to something more resembling fear as they realized their only advantage was now void and they were about to suffer the same fate as their former guild mates from the two floors below them. Wolfe then without a warning started in on his victims as he dashed right towards the largest group he could see. As he dashed around and made his attacks the arcs of lightning would light the room like a frame by frame movie and with each flash his movements were ever changing. He started ripping into his opponents as they were trying to overpower him with numbers, but it wasn’t working as each time he got his hands on one of monsters he was ripping off a body part and putting them through pillars and walls. Wolfe acted like a beast of destruction as he tore up each of his opponents.

As Wolfe had taken out most of his targets the last couple started to act like a single group to try and make sure Wolfe had no way to actually attack them, which is when he started to get smart about his attacks as he would turn into a bolt of lightning and arc right into the middle of them ad reform before they had a chance to react. He would push one away as he swept the legs out from another. As the other two turned towards him he grabbed one’s incoming punch and redirected it at the other one and then just as his fist connected with his ally, Wolfe swept his other arm down and took the attacker’s legs out from under him. As he fell to the floor Wolfe turned his attention to the one who had just been hit and before he had a chance to recover Wolfe swung a strong right handed uppercut to his chin knocking him back on his back, and as he was falling back in midair Wolfe brought the same attack straight down and planted his elbow into the chest of the one he had tripped only moments before. He then grabbed that one’s throat and snapped his neck before he had a chance to recover. Wolfe then turned to the one he had pushed away at first and as he turned and went to swing at Wolfe he threw up his arm to block the punch and with his other hand he thrusted it forward and caught the guy by his face and Wolfe dashed forward causing the guy to lose his footing and fall back. Wolfe thrusted all his weight into his arm as he slammed the guy’s head back and into the ground splitting his skull wide open. Just as he did this the first one he tripped had recovered and aimed a kick right at Wolfe’s ribs. Wolfe took the kick with a slight grunt, but swung his arm down and caught his leg, and then Wolfe stood up and as he did he twisted his body so he pulled the guy off balance, and as he started to fall to the ground Wolfe spun the other way and let go of the guy’s leg and with his other open hand he aimed a punch right into the back of the guy’s knee and there was a loud crack as his knee shattered under the force of Wolfe’s punch. The guy didn’t have much a chance to yell before Wolfe swung both hands out and grabbed the guy by his broken leg and started to spin and lift as he made a half circle and slammed the guy’s body into a pillar which broke with the force of impact and the body went limp as most his body was broken upon connecting with the pillar. Wolfe just released the body as he looked around at his handy work.

Wolfe was leaving a river of broken bodies and blood in his wake, but he wasn’t finished yet as he had one more floor and to take out the guild master of this sad excuse for a dark guild, and the monsters that made up it’s members.

Wolfe made his way to the stairs leading to the fourth and final floor of this castle, and that meant he was going to be heading into the mouth of the monster so to say. He didn’t know what to expect exactly, but either way this was the final part to his exam, and wiping this poor excuse for a guild off the face of the Fiore.

Wolfe made his accent up the stairs to a large oak wooden door framed with a dark metal. Wolfe stopped at the door for a moment and listened to sounds of machines and the buzzing of electricity from the room on the other side of the door. He slowly placed his hand on the door and pushed it open. The door creaked open and Wolfe made his way through the slight opening and found himself standing in a room that looked like it could only belong to a mad scientist. The room was covered with machines covering the wall, beakers of multiple covered liquids, and random tools were scattered everywhere. As he looked around the room he saw a set of human bodies hanging from meat hooks in the corner, most of them with random body parts missing. The room smelled of burning, and blood. Wolfe had to take a second to adjust and as he did he heard voice come from the other corner of the room and he turned his head to see a strange and disturbing looking man in a white coat. He was fairly tall, but extremely thin, and his body was covered in scars and parts of his body looked like they were altered to make him look like a monster. The man spoke up “I see you made it all the way through the guild…. urmm… yes… you will work… ermm…will you become my new experiment? Yes... yes.. you will…” The man’s voice was crackling and almost robotic in tone.

Wolfe felt a shiver run down his back as the man spoke. He was a monster, plain and simple and even his voice was enough to cause the humanity in someone to react to hearing it. Wolfe shook his head as he responded “Nope. As it happens I am actually here to destroy this unholy place and burn it and you to the ground.” Wolfe could see a shift in the man’s demeanor as he heard Wolfe’s response. The man walked a little closer as he spoke up one more time “Well that’s too bad…. You would have been a fine specimen….. Instead I guess you have to die…. Come forth my monster and tear this ingrate limb from limb, so I may use them in future experiments…” and with a wave of his hand Wolfe heard a shuffling from another corner of the room and turned to see a huge monster of a creature shuffle out of the darkness of the corner of the room. Wolfe couldn’t make heads or tails of the creature, but regardless he looked like a hulking beast of a creature and the sword in it’s hand looked just as menacing. Wolfe would have just regarded the weapon as nothing until the monster raised it above his head and brought it down unto a steal table next to it and it cleaved the table right in half, and cracked the stone floor under it just as the monster let out a roar of rage.

Wolfe decided this was not going to be an easy fight, and he had no intent on giving this monster even a slight chance to walk away from this fight. Wolfe took a step back and balled his right hand into a fist and held it out in front of him as he held his left hand open cupped around it and focused all his energy and mana into his fist. After about two second Wolfe pulled his fist back and as he fell to one knee he slammed his fist into the ground pouring an immense amount of mana into the ground as he spoke the words “Hydra’s Rage!” and twisted his fist like he was unlocking something and there was a second delay before the ground began to shake and then a roar began to rumble up from the ground and from the spot Wolfe’s fist had touched the ground a beam of light erupted from the ground and shot into the air hitting the sealing and then burst outward in a ring filling the entire room with light and rippled in waves outward repeatedly casing the ground to start to rip apart and cracks shot out in all directions. Then the roaring became louder as red began to emerge from the light as a large hydra head began to rise from the ground and as it hit the ceiling of the room it ripped it right open and began to rip the castle apart. The roar of the beast could be heard for miles as it continued to erupt up from the ground destroying everything and everyone besides Wolfe as it consumed them in a holy rage. Most of the ceiling and walls of this room ripped apart and were destroyed and the Hydra’s head ramaped up from the ground. The rest of the castle seemed to be sharing the same fate as most of was now destroyed and crumbling away.

The Hydra let out one final roar as it seemed to fade away and there was a brief moment of pure silence as Wolfe just sat there kneeling, but then he slowly stood up and took a look around and saw the devastation left in the wake of his summon. He could see the mangled body of what was once the monster of scientist laying in a lump on the floor. As he continued to look around at the devastation he heard a crippled voice from amongst the debris “Youu…will not destroy….what I have built… I will… return and when I do…. I will find you…” Wolfe saw as one hand of the guild’s master rose up from under some debris/Wolfe walked over and looked down at the mess of a man and shook his head as he answered “No…. you end here, and so does this darkness.” And with a swipe of his hand he focused energy into his hand and summoned a bolt of lightning down upon the excuse of a man that was the former guild master of this now mess of a guild, and with a loud BOOM! it was over.

Wolfe walked over to an area where the roof of the castle above him had been destroyed upon summoning the hydra and turned to lightning as he arced up unto what was left of the roof of the now mostly destroyed castle to meet Ardere like he was instructed.

Waiting for Wolfe to accomplish his mission, Ardere could not help but be a bit antsy. He had faith in his guild member, but the guild he was going up against was not formed of amateurs. Taking a deep breath, there were several explosions and rumbling sounds, prompting the fire mage to arch a brow. After some time, he could smell his friend coming near. The guild hall was in ruins, and it seemed like he was actually alive. Leaping into the roof, the guild master unfolded his arms and greeted the man with a relieved smile. Took you long enough. Glad you made it out alive. Now they won't be troubling anyone anymore. Nice work, Wolfe. Now let's get the hell out of here and get you tended to, and some food. Sound good? Pressing the button on his bracer, he called to the Black Sun to pick them up. Exhaling deeply, he patted the lightning mage on the back as the ship descended for them to enter. The trip back to the guild would be short, but it would provide the newly ranked up wizard some time to rest. As one got stronger, so did their enemies, and their responsibilities grew.
