Todo está bien. That's what she tried to tell herself, at least. Everything was fine. Sure, C.A.S.S.I.E. had gone on a rampage, destroyed the guild hall, and nearly killed a couple of her guild mates, but everyone had made it out okay in the end. Everyone was alive and recovering, and that was all that mattered. She took a deep breath and lowered herself into a stretch, one leg in front of her, one in back. Her room in the guild's new home--the Silver Moon Inn--was much less spacious than what she had stayed in at the old guild hall, but it was better than staying out in the street. In the immediate two or three days after the old guild hall had burned to the ground, Kistiñe hadn't talked to anyone about anything meaningful; she'd try and tell a joke or two, do anything to lighten the mood, but she hadn't taken the time to let anyone know how she had been feeling. As extraverted and outgoing as she was, her reluctance to share her feelings with her guild mates was a surprising trait. She could talk with someone all day about how they were feeling or what they were going through, and she would do anything to make someone smile or laugh to try and get their mind off whatever it was that bothered them; but, the moment it came to her own emotional state, she changed the subject. She was a well of compassion and companionship when others were hurting, but the instant anyone wanted to help her, she made light of her situation and laughed it off with a dry, humorless chuckle, ending any chance of anyone seeing what it was that perturbed her in the first place. But, for now, everything was fine.

After a moment of holding the position she had put herself in, she relaxed and pulled in to sit cross-legged on the floor of the hotel room. Her breath was relaxed, even though her thoughts began buzzing once more with what had happened in the past week. Recently, the entire scene played back in her head like a fuzzy recording; she hadn't slept in two days due to how much it bothered her, and it was plain to see on her face. Her normally cheery facial expression was laced with growing lethargy, her springy movements weighed down by the lack of rest she had recieved. Her eyes drifted shut as she sat on the floor; she scene of C.A.S.S.I.E. firing a halestorm of bullets into the guild hall, the shouts and screams of guildmates and Levanitir citizens, and the giant bird of ice that Izayuki had conjured to pull her out of the robot's path all played in that short instant as a blurried mess. Her eyes shot open a moment later, and she decided the best option was simply to get out and about for the day. She got up and opened the small closet in the hotel room; miraculously, her duffle bag and the week's worth of clothes from her vacation survived the robotic onslaught of the guild hall. Currently, it was sitting in the floor of the closet; the shirts were hanging up, whereas her shorts, a pair of yoga pants, and undergarments were in the bag itself. She grabbed a white tank top and the yoga pants, quickly changing into them in the bathroom and putting on her favorite accessories--namely, her earrings and bracelet.

After taking a moment to play with her hair, she frowned and gave an exasperated groan before deciding that it simply wasn't worth it today. She tossed her previous set of clothes into the closet and closed the door, before walking out of her room. The upper levels of the building weren't all that bad, all thing considered; rather than having carpet, the rooms and halls had hardwood flooring. The walls were white plaster, the trims and woodwork were stained dark burgundy. Although some might have considered the look to be dated, Kistiñe liked the aesthetic of the place. As she turned the corner to the stairwell, she slid down the rails on her bum like a rebellious child spiting their parent's wishes. Once she reached the bottom of the stairs, she took a look around the first floor. For the greatest part of the guild's stay in their new home, she hadn't paid much attention to the restaurant-esque floor of the building, mainly using it as an avenue to get back to her room after a night on the town or doing jobs; this was her first time taking a look at it in any sort of detail. Perhaps due to some recent renovations, it wasn't quite as dated-looking as the upper floors. Although the woods were mostly the same color as upstairs, the lower floor had an edge of modernism in it; the front portion of the kitchen was open for patrons at the bar to see, and most of the tables on the dining room floor were meant for groups of two, while larger booths were by the windows. As she walked out the door and into the street, she made a note to ask Magna if he needed ideas for a menu.

The streets of Rose Garden were as busy as ever; people bustling from one shop to another, trying to find the next magical gismo or party trick to show their friends. It certainly was a mage's town, that was for sure. As she looked around, she wondered what it was she'd be doing today; she had absolutely no plans made with any of her guild mates, and she most certainly didn't want to be stuck doing jobs all afternoon....

    キム·ディエル
I could go off the deep end. I could kill all my best friends. I could follow those stylish trends. God knows I could make amends.

Kim had preferred the guild's old location in the port city to... This. Even with the fishy smell of the docks and the deep water surrounding it she would rather live with the cons of the old city to Rose Garden. Far too many people rushing about shoulder to shoulder, like sardines packed into a small can. It made her nauseous to be surrounded with such rapid activity. It was strange what humans would go through to get the biggest sale of an item or to buy that one piece of clothing that they would wear once before banishing it to the back of their closet, cursed to never see the light of day ever again. What a lackluster species.

She still wasn't use to using her human form after two years of being a tanuki, so whenever she could she found herself staying in her animal form, finding it much more comfortable and easier to control than her birth body.
But because of it she had found people's gazes would dig into her as they walked. Some would even stop and point. All Kim would do was grumble lowly, looking back to them with daggers in her olive stare. If the growling didn't make them continue walking and avoid further eye contact, then her staring did. Geez, you'd think it's like they've never seen a slightly deformed tanuki before... Or bunuki, as Ayato had once called her. Stupid rabbit ears...
Kim pointed her way towards the guild hall, expression lazy and tierd, her fluffy tail dragging on the pavement behind her as she continued forward at a slow pace. The witch had spent the entire night rummaging through trashcans and other places that may hold food. Another thing she wasn't use to doing again was, in short, most human things. Her trible instinct still drove her to search for food either by hunting or stealing. Mice, rats, pizza, chicken, and much more now filled her content stomach after the glorious night out on the city. Why would you pay for food if you could just steal it? As long as you got away with it no harm was done. And she didn't lose a single jewel.
Her mind wondered back to a diamond encrusted bracelet she had seen in a jeweler's window out on on display during the night. Even without the lights on in the display it still shined so brightly with the moon's light alone, it caught the tanuki's attention immediately. The urge to steal it then and there had crossed her mind, but upgrading from stealing food to jewelry was not easy. Unlike the food stores jewelry stores would probably have extra protection, a thing she would rather not deal with. Alarms were too noisy. Maybe she would buy it with her saved jewel... Give it to Tsubomi or something. She liked pretty things, right? She rolled her eyes at the thought of the dragon. Kim had no idea if she would accept it, she was too tomboyish to just accept things when given to her up front. But Kim felt as though she was now obliged to give her something in exchange for the lily charm the ex-tribe leader had given her back in the abandoned human village. Perhaps she would hide it under her pillow or something so she would wake up to it.
Bah, what a stupid idea. Tsu would just have to deal with being embarrassed. If she was doing an embarrassing thing like buying her mate a necklace then she would have to deal with the embarrassment of being given it up front.

Cutting her out of her thoughts the tanuki felt a sudden, sharp pain press down at the end of her tail. She let out a surprised yip and stopped in her tracks, her first reaction to pull back the tail to her body and curl it around herself. Making sure it was okay she lifted it up to her face, scanning the damage. Nothing. Nothing at all. It seemed okay. It just hurt a bit.
Feeling the pain start to numb slightly she sighed to herself, looking upwards to see who had the nerve to step of her tail. A boy with headphones and a gray hoodie behind her focused in her sight, black lips turning into a deep frown. How rude. He was just going to step on her tail and not even offer an apology?
A low growl rumbling in the back of her throat the tanuki stood to her paws once more, catching up to the boy quite quickly, keeping a steady pace behind him as she looked up to his head. A single tall ear perked upright, noticing she was able to hear his music from all the way down near the ground. He wouldn't be able to hear her if she shouted for his attention. Such an ignorant creature.
Then, an idea. She should repay him for what he did. A pain for a pain. Equal exchange. There may have been better ideas on how to solve the situation, but Kim wasn't the most rational person ever. If she was going to solve this she would do whatever her mind came up with first. She had wanted to get an apology, as he owed her one. However... This seemed more like her style.
    That was to bite.
A smirk overcame her lips before she opened her jaws, thrusting her head forward before her mouth collided with his leg. As she met the fabric of his pants she bit down further, causing her to move from the fabric right into his skin, pushing down with great force. The boy screamed, having thrown off his headphones and began to throw his foot up in the air, attempting to fling off the tanuki. But Kim kept a deep bite, beginning to taste the metallic feeling of blood dripping into her mouth. She had survived the avid thrashing of a large dragon before. The force this guy was throwing at her was nothing.
People stopped on the streets and stared, forming a crowd around the screaming man, frozen in place, unsure of what was going on.

If there was one thing Kim knew how to do, it was how to make an entrance.
