Sure enough, what she approached were rusty iron bars with a gate that reminded her of a high-security prison. And it was unlocked too. Once inside, her steps tarted echoing down the room, skeleton remains everywhere around her. There was no hiding in this room... and on the end of it, a figure stood tall right in front of an ornate stone tomb. If something looked important, this was it. Taking another step forward, the man suddenly turned towards her, grabbing his weapon and lunging forward. Not managing to react fast enough, he managed to hit her and send her few meters back. His strength was something else entirely, making her realize that she probably shouldn't allow him to hit her again. Not to mention that this guy was the first bandit who wasn't using bow. Naturally assuming that he was an important part of this operation, she decided to not hold back one bit. Her body started transforming, the gray bark-like skin soon covering it's entirety. Flames engulfed her and revealed the dangerously looking huntress of Eden. At the sigh of her monstrosity, he tried to attack again. But before the pole arm connected, a giant spike made out of roots flew out of the ground beneath him, sending him flying into the ceiling. Creating a small bomb flower next to her, she wasted no time and threw the fiery fruit right at him, causing a flaming explosion. And as he was falling down on the ground, she jumped up, grabbing him with her claws and throwing him back at the spike, letting it hit him again. As he finally fell to the ground, she summoned several small roots that started crushing his body as well. And yet, he was not ready to give up. Jumping on top of him, she started hitting him repeatedly in a frenzy while his limbs were stuck in the roots, not allowing for any defense. And eventually, his head dropped. He was unconscious and Leila was victorious.
She was actually capable of defeating him with less spells that she anticipated, and thanks to one of her abilities, she didn't even consume any mana. Though, it would be a while before she was able to use those spells again, so she hoped this guy was the last enemy here. Her body stopped producing flames and her skin slowly returned to normal as she approached the tomb he was examining just a moment ago. Squatting down in front of it, she read the inscription.
Gold Rodger. Somehow, it sounded really familiar. And then it hit her.
"Gold Rodger! So that is who's buried here... one of the most famous thieves of Fiore..." No wonder those bandits risked fighting powerful foes like hell hounds to get here. This tomb probably hid great treasure or at least information about the celebrity. Nodding to herself, she started pushing the heavy lid off the tomb, letting it fall to the ground with a heavy bang. And inside, she saw his bones. And on top of those bones, seemingly perfectly preserved garb. Taking it out, she realized that it was his personal pirate outfit that he wore when he was still alive. Her eyes immediately sparked as she looked over the cloth. It was clearly imbued with strong magic, which was how it survived all those years. Something like that would fetch her quite the pouch of jewels, unless she would actually wear them herself. But there was another thing in laying on the corpse that caught her attention. A stone orb of unique design. As she picked it up, she felt... strange. And then it lit up, creating a map and showing her location of this whole cave, near to the Ace Of Spades. It was a magical map, no doubt about that. But there was more. Somehow, she felt stronger while holding it. Almost as if she could draw strength from it. Hiding it inside her bag along with the garb, she quickly looked around for more treasure, but to no avail. And after that, she went back the same way she came, leaving this place as quickly as possible.
