That did it, Hana's little trick surely brought a smile on Mura's face as he witnessed it closely. Apparently, she froze his legs and caused the captain to fall over, landing on the hot sand that would quickly begin to melt the ice off. "Hehe..! Neat, Hana!" he complimented with a thumb-up, before realizing that the black-bearded pirate wasn't done yet. He prepared his sword for a comeback from the captain, but was quite surprised of Leila's sudden entry. She sounded more confident than from the very beginning, which didn't bother him at all. In fact, it pleased him that she felt much better now. After her statement, he replied: "Let's go for it."

All of a sudden, she gave out a fierce combo of random, FLAMING roots that appeared from the ground and all over her skin as she used them so versatile that he couldn't even keep up with it. "Woah, I thought that there weren't any trees below sand..." Kyuken let out in confusion. It wasn't to blame; Mura had the same thought. She and her angelic companion gave Black-Beard a tough challenge, and he was surprised that the captain was still alive, not to mention conscious after her rampage. That guy's a tough one..., he spoke, but he could clearly see the effect of her attack. Not wanting her to see it as a lack of aid, he commented with a wide smile: "Amazing combo, there..!" That plant mage was surely skilled, he had no idea in the beginning; perhaps it was due to his ignorance of people that he just met, but wasn't that obvious? Everyone can surprise each other, nowadays...

Terith seemed to throw Mura a glance, indicating the right time to strike, which was now. As Terith charged at the pirate, Mura followed up by spawning a clone right beside him. A single one, but sufficient. He would then command it to leap into the air as Terith suddenly launched out a barrage of mirage-like blades combined with the movement of his own blade, somewhat resembling to that of the double-edged sword technique that his dad mastered. This guy reminded him of all that it took to be a full-fledged swordsman, a view to remember for quite a long time in the future. He finally spoke back to Mura, announcing his turn to strike the damaged Black-Beard. "Now, Kyuken..!" he roared. Although, the Black-Beard appeared to be an awesome challenge as he could still manage to turn his arms into cannons. The loaded guns would shoot towards Mura, having a more destructive effect as they came from above. The young samurai spotted this quite quickly, due to Kyuken's influece at the moment, and leaped in between them, soaring towards Black-Beard. Despite its lack of presence right now, a scratch hit him on the knee. The ignorant shaman proceeded, though, and lifted up Harusame. Meanwhile, the clone above them all was advancing the Black-Beard's back, unsheathing its own Harusame. "Kyuken-Style!" they both roared from behind and in front of Black-Beard that couldn't but make a classic 'ARGH' sound, "Grand Halo Blade..!!!" The light that surrounded both blades were lighting up the air around everyone, until shattering into several slashes that cut through Black-Beard with unreal accuracy. No signs of blood were coming from him under the attack, but he was surely done for. Mura and his clone would land on the sand, their backs against each other and with a sharp look on his face as the clone was dismissed.

You could see the sweat dropping down his face as he looked back to the Black-Beard. A moment would pass, before he could feel the stinging pain on his knee, seemingly from the cannons earlier. "... I didn't know that he hit me," he let out with a cocky grin, before slowly aiming his gaze towards the hiding Hana, "I think that he's done now, Hana. You can come out now..."

Hana snickered as she saw her companions trying not to laugh at her comical "attack". The amusment they had been feeling was quite clear to the young ice user, in fact it was even evident on the face of the unknown swordsman. Even though there had been no clear sign on his facial expression, Hana used to be one without a show of emotions and was used to pointing out the emotions one was feeling even if she couldn't see auras or the like. Sitting in a tree, Hana found it suitable if she gave the others a chance to show off and sat in the tree observing them in interest. Although she had been prepared to see something flashy, her one revealed eye that had matched the salty waters out stretching from the beach shone in surprise at the other girl's attack. "Nice one!" She yelled over in enthusiasm. "I think you outshone the boys!" Although one would expect her to be 100% on Mura's side, the short silvernette just couldn't resist the urge to compliment her while somewhat teasing her fellow guild member. As the battle between those four continued on, Hana sat lazily on the hidden tree branch while grooming Tamka's ginger fur, tangling it in between her fingers every now and then. As soon as the bearded pirate had fallen in what she had thought was defeat, she jumped down from the tree landing on both of her feet in struggle of losing balance before gradually regaining it and making her way over to Mura who had appeared to be hurt. Inspecting the boy up and down, Hana's eye landed on his knee, confirming that it had most likely been scraped by one of the canons. "Here Mura, hold still as I try numbing the pain away." She instructed him as she bent down and gently placed her hand over the scrape. There was no magic involved seeming as how her body temperature had naturally been colder than many other's, making it very much easy to lend the shaman a helping hand, in which she would pull away when she was done. "Feel a bit better?"

Looking at the fight from the sidelines, her arms were at her knees as her body bend forward. Despite their whole situation pointing to victory, she had better days. This whole ordeal burned up most of her magical juice and now she was just about ready for a power nap. But there was still a treasure to be found after all this. That was the objective, not to actually fight those pirates. But since they got in the way so much, there was no way around it. What was done was just done. Although, it did seem kinda brutal. Once the two boys were done lacerating the pirate boss, Leila would walk to him, eyes his body that was lifelessly laying in the sand, warmed by the restless sun. "Is he... dead?" Surely there was more gentle way of going about this. Even if he was a bloodthirsty pirate, she still didn't like hurting people that much, even though her own spells and combos were rather brutal. But the dragon slayer seemed to like it, as she praised the forest mage from the distance. Those few words managed to paint a small bush onto her face as she scratched the back of her head, questioning if she was worthy of such a praise from someone so powerful. It felt good to have her powers recognized like that and not be judged badly because of her flaming transformation. Perhaps it wasn't as bad as she always thought it was? But that didn't matter much now, as the fight was finally over. And while rest of the team was licking their wounds, Leila perked up and whipped out that treasure map she had from before.

Studying it more closely, it actually seemed that they were rather close now. Apparently the fight went the way they needed to go anyway. Unintentionally leaving the rest behind, she would start walking around in circles until she arrived at a spot with a small sand pile. They were still on the beach there, so it was obvious that there would be sand everywhere. Standing over the spot, she lowered the map and started at the ground for a moment. Only now she realized that they didn't exactly have any equipment that would help them do this. All they really had were couple of katanas. Probably not the greatest digging tool, although they could at least try it, right? Shaking her head over the idea, she felt rather stupid for even thinking of such things. Perhaps the heat was getting to her. So, before she would collapse here, she transformed her hands into claws one more time and started 'digging'. It wasn't the most graceful or efficient thing ever, but it was something. Now she only hoped that she really was above the treasure, it would suck if they had to dig out the entire beach to find it.

Post by Terith 31st July 2016, 12:36 am

In terms of justice, the relevant scuffle was undeniable, but perhaps, in the humane part of the entire scheme, the outcome was uncalled for. And yet even as he limped towards the corpse, he felt no sense of sadness in that regard, a shallow hint of pity being the only expression he'd allow himself to grace before ultimately discarding any form of emotion that befell a man of his fate. As cruel as it was, the captain's plight was nothing more but his own undoing, and that alone was enough to serve him well into his grave. Perhaps his next life would be something more mellow, gentler on the times as opposed to what he was before. Terith could only ever offer him such a prayer before moving on, sheathing his weapon wordlessly as the crinkle of sand made his steps heavier than they should be.

There certainly was a level of flair to the other swordsman, one that he could never significantly surpass for the sole reason that his magic was of an entirely different form and origin, and that had him greatly admiring him from afar, wondering lightly of there would be a possibility of a second encounter. Be it with the same brunette or an entirely different sword wielder, it was a thought that he couldn't help but feel a little excited about, although fleetingly. He'd pass the two who were obviously well acquainted with each other and approached his job partner, who had seemingly gone off on her own to a place situated not too far from where the fight began, the map folding lightly in her grip. It was little too fortunate for them, to put it simply, but he wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth, so there wasn't much of a complaint about the level of difficulty coming from him.

He'd watch Leila forge ahead with her magic causing her fingers to evolve into claws in a spur of ethernano, though he wasn't surprised that she could perform such a feat at this point. He'd look down at his current equipment with dismay, realizing he didn't have much to offer in the process of digging. Nevertheless, the swordsman would still bundle his irrelevant sleeves and discard the other degrading assortments and proceeded to aid the lady in her pursuit for their objective. Though he'd do it a rather ungraceful fashion, filing himself over the hole before descending in a dust cloud of sand.

"KAK!" he coughed, rubbing out the particles that had flown into his eyes unceremoniously. "G-gah...sorry about that. I'll help with the digging!" he weakly proclaimed, shoving his hands into the sand and throwing the mound over his shoulder in a furious strike, doing his best to cope up with how sand works as the hole became slightly harder to bear, the mounds pooling back in slightly. "Crap, this is harder than I thought." he spat, wishing deep in his gut that he would lop off the unjustly amount of hair he was adorning at that moment.

Apparently, the pirate was heavily damaged, almost fatally done for; the others appeared to be convinced of Black-Beard's death, but Mura could see beyond what they could in cases like this. The pirate's soul was still intact, within his hurt flesh. He was surely a tough one, even alive after such attack that wasn't even intentional to be fatal. "Heh..." he let out, approaching the pirate's body, "That was close. I would hate myself if you died, you bastard..." He suddenly spotted Hana approach from the corner of his eye, seemingly curious of his wound. To be honest, he was a little (VERY) sceptical when she lowered her gaze downwards, until he remembered about the knee (sorry, just had to do it xD). "Oh... wait, you can do that?" he curiously asked her. He wouldn't deny her help or anything, but it was surprising him. As she layed a hand on his knee, the stinging chill travelled across his body, causing his spine to stiff. "G-ahh..." he let out in an awkward growl, "... Hey, it's beginning to feel a little better now." He would look down at Hana with eyes that shone with gratitude. "... Thanks a lot, Hana," he thanked with a smile. Despite that it wasn't even that big of an injury, he was very happy that she decided to help him. He didn't exactly know why, though...

Terith and Leila were already beginning to dig after the treasure, this mission's main objective. Not wanting to laze it out, he spoke: "We better begin and search after this treasure, now." taking Hana's hand and lifting her up for some reason, he would nod in gratitude and quickly grab Kyuken's spirit. "First one to find it wins..!" he cockily spoke up, before launching the spirit into his little wrist bracer. The spirit form would mold into a kind of shovel, sticked to his left arm. He charged towards another place that Terith and Leila weren't digging in and began sticking the shovel down; in a second, he was completely gone, way under the surface. He did something similar in his previous mission with Kanix, and it improved his treasure-hunting skills drastically. He just hoped to find this treasure first...

(Ermergurd Mura... I don't even know what to say about that...)

Hana giggled as Mura had seemed to yelp from her cold touch, but not once would she take her hand off his knee until she was finally done. As Mura thanked Hana, she just gave him a normal close-eyed smile and looked behind her to see that Terith and Leila had already started digging.  Apparently having though the same thing, Mura decided to start looking for the treasure as well and instead make it a race of who could find it first. However, there was one fact he seemed to have missed, obviously as he already started digging in a random location. "Uh... Mura...," Hana began to point out matter-of-factly. "The Captain gave them the map.... they already know where the treasure is supposed to be."Turning away from Mura in what she would guess to be a shocked face of realization, the silvernette made her way to the hole the two had been digging in and crouched down so they could hear her. "Hey, mind if I lend you a hand? Pretty sure we were hired by the same person." Holding out her and Mura's job flyer, Hana would wait for approval before jumping down and having Tamka and herself start digging with her. Of course, however, she couldn't be sure that they would accept herself, and if so would just shrug and help them dig anyways. Having very good eyesight, the dragon slayer had already seen their job flyer in the cape of the fellow silvernette while fighting, so it hadn't mattered to her whether they would be grateful of her help or not as long as she was getting the job done. Along the way, it seemed that dirt had been falling from the top back down, giving her an idea. "Hey Tamka, take this bag and fill it with dirt. Empty it up there and repeat the process so we can get somewhere." "Yes Lady Hana." The raccoon replied cheerfully while getting to work, leaving the rest to continue digging.

Digging at a rather fast pace, she probably didn't need anyone's help. Her clawed hands were quite big and surprisingly effective at burying into the hot sand and throwing it out over her head. Torian who was using nothing but his hands was thus on the... less efficient side. "I..it's fine, really! You'll just get sand everywhere like this..." She tried to protest, but there was a notion of the man's pride being tested here. So it was probably completely meaningless to try to stop him at this point. Even the other female mage offered her help soon enough. Looking towards the source of her voice, Leila would blush a little again when she saw that figure, quickly turning her gaze away again. "I..I s-should be nearly... there!" She tried to reinforce her statement from before, but started stuttering instead. Being in a company of someone like Hana, it wasn't good for her shy heart at all. All embarrassed, she would start clawing her way deeper into the earth at much faster pace, eventually hearing a sound of wood being damaged by a sharp object. That was her claws slightly burying into a chest that finally appeared beneath the yellow mask of the beach. "Ah-!" She would let out sound of surprise as she stopped all her action, focusing on the treasure instead. Quickly clearing out the remaining sand that was covering it, she eyed the whole thing. It was... oddly small chest for a treasure. Made entirely out of ornamented wood, looking more like a giant music box than anything else. It was exotic and well decorated with gold, which seemed to defeat the purpose of gold being on the inside of it.

Gulping lightly, her claws would slash off the lock, meeting no resistance at all. The whole thing seemed slightly rotten with time too by now. Looking around her if all the other members of this team were looking, she opened the lid to reveal it's content. Once it was, Leila just... kinda blinked few times and picked up what was laying inside, moving it up in her still wooden hands. It was... a swimsuit? It certainly looked like one, there was no mistaking it. "Err... did the captain mention something about the treasure being in the form different from your usual gold...?" She would ask Torian who was next to her with question and unsure voice. So far, this was probably the biggest surprise of the entire mission. Looking at the bikini, she had no idea what to say. "I mean... I guess they look really nice? Cute and all..." She started commenting on it to herself, her eyes going just about everywhere. And thank for that, she noticed a corner of another box in the sand just below the first chess. "H..hold it Tori!" She threw the first treasure into her partner's face, digging one more and clawing the other, much bigger chest out of the sand. Now, this one seemed more like an actual pirate treasure. A big wooden chest with iron to reinforce it. Once again slashing the lock into two, she would quickly open it to reveal a nice amount of jewels inside. Now this was what they were really looking for. Though it was much less than your usual buried treasure. But better than nothing. "Alright... I guess the contract is finished with this..."

Post by Terith 2nd August 2016, 8:45 am

    "....I don't think he did."

As dejected as he was to have dug up a swimsuit with his bare hands, the grave feeling wouldn't ever have come to contrast to the intense embarrassment that he'd harbor when the flimsy thing was thrown into his face, where not only the sudden flash of color was the reason for his ungraceful loss of balance. Leila's throwing force was out of hand and simply shoving it into his sandy face evoked a surprise that had him tumbling over a bit. And as he peeled the thing off his skin, a shaky brow is raised as a large amount of questions began racing into his conscience, all trying to overtake the other in his thought process. Eventually, he'd deem the query 'Who the hell would consider a bikini a treasure?!' as the grand winner, his thumb and index finger rubbing his temple as he attempted to comprehend whatever circumstance had to arise that the townsfolk would bury a one piece bikini, in a magnificent box, nonetheless.

Though he had been adamant to rid the thing from his clutches, he still managed to secretly take a peek of the garment with a man's curious gaze, his eyes dropping over the intricate workings and the portions where things are supposed to be held, stretching the material as he did so while fighting the nasty, creeping blush with serious thoughts. It appeared to be incredibly durable for its nature, and he wondered if there was more to the cloth than just being eye-candy.

Thankfully, however, it seemed that their search wasn't purely for a lost cause. As he was mulling over some idle thoughts that definitely did not involve what went into the bikini, it appears that Leila managed to nab the real prize from underneath the one piece's ornament box. And upon opening it, a familiar glitter caught his eyes and it somehow immediately settled a storm that brewed in his gut. Sinking to his knees, he'd eventually grab a handful with a solemn expression, letting them slide over his fingers before they toppled back into the chest. With a cough, he ushered for the other two who've followed them along this entire venture, his voice beckoning them to garner themselves their rewards.

"Hey, you two! Hop on over so we can split the reward by four!"

Terith would have eventually bundled the one piece back into its original case, carefully layering it into its mold to display the features. Surely, then, the other two might find a use for it. As for the swordsman, he'd have nothing more with such, and he was decidedly finished with the entire ordeal, scooping himself a significant amount of jewels before allowing them to be devoured by a worn poach bag that he kept in his breast pocket. He'd breath a wary sigh as he climbed over the ditch that they created, dusting him off with a listless expression.

Briefly, the man would scan the area and the damages that were occurred, buckets of blood flowing into the shores, hammers littered the once pristine beach as cannon balls rolled around lazily with the water. He'd offer himself a shoulder crack before assuming a depressing thought, passing as it was, it remained haunting.

'I hope the folks won't sue us for destruction of local property....'

And yet, the sea was still, and justice had been done, so he convinced himself that worries were better reserved for another day.

A Treasure Unlike Any Other - Page 2 Empty Re: A Treasure Unlike Any Other

After a while of digging, Mura caught words of the found treasure. A large ecstasy of disappointment and letdown travelled through his body with hte speed of a train, shattering his spirit and happiness for the moment, stunning him underground and adding up to the surprise that he got from Hana and the fact that they had a freaking map. How he forgot everything, nowadays. "Y-You... you can't be serious," he stammered, looking as if he was almost about to cry out. Kyuken would grin beside him. "Ahahaha! I guess you lost your own, little game, Mura!" he commented with a laugh, adding up the embarrassment that was taking over...

After a break, he went up and charged towards Terith and Leila, the ones who'd found the One Piece. His eyes weren't ready to see the treasure, or they weren't prepared to see a bikini on his hand. At first, Mura had no idea of where he got it from, until he thought about the treasure. "... Eh? Is that it?" he asked with a tilted head, not realizing that the eye-candy was having an effect on his blushing appearance, "Aren't there more?" He stuck his head towards the grave, spotting the classic chest filled with gems and coins that you could only dream about; it almost fled off the edges. Mura had a very great urge to jump in and bathe himself in gold, but he remembered that he was with a team. Now wasn't the time to be greedy, as if it was an attribute of his. After spotting Terith, he did the similar and took a small grain of the treasure, putting it into his pockets. He was satisfied with his share, and the day of going out on a mission was pretty much filled with enough of a treasure.

His eyes returned to the bikini. Something must've declared it a treasure, something... maybe it was made out of a rare specie of cotton? Silk? Anything that you use to make bikinis, just in a very rare fashion? Maybe it was made out of gold? Or perhaps it was just considered a treasure for its eye-candy effect. That could've been the case, because out of nowhere, Kyuken was sniffing on the panties. "Hey..!" Mura scolded him and grabbed back the bikini, "You can't have clothes on. Remember that..?" He would slowly check out the bikini, trying his best not to look like a strange pervert. A while went, before he held it towards Hana. "... It would look good on you," he complimented quite bluntly, purposely showing that he would be fine if she had the treasure. He already took what he wanted, anyway.
