Neyvahn's heart felt like it was going to jump out of his chest. It was embarrassing, getting his back washed by someone else, not to mention that it was Rei washing him. Her hands roamed around his hair, running her fingers through soapy strands of silver locks. The sensation was... different. It didn't feel gross, it didn't feel weird having her massage his head. Neyvahn sighed, doing his best to relax. He felt her hands consciously and hesitantly hover over his face, rubbing the soap around the wounds. She was careful not to get any in his eyes. Her hands left him for a second before coming back with water to rinse. Neyvahn closed his eyes and allowed her to wash the soap off of his face. Her hands dropped the cup and moved from his face, down his neck, and onto his shoulders. She lathered the soap into his right shoulder first, the dirt on it trapping itself in the suds. Rei moved her hands to his left shoulder, and lathered the soap there. Her hands touched his shoulder, the one with the open cut that Conner inflicted on him, causing him to wince, grimacing to himself.
"s-sorry..." she muttered quietly. Her hands carefully moved around the injury, light as a feather. Neyvahn's head sunk a little, his cheeks growing warmer than the water. His heart continued to beat hard, pushing down on his chest. Neyvahn had never felt this before, the way that it put his voice up in his throat.
"It's... it's fine," he said, his breathing becoming more labored. Rei's hands moved off of his shoulders, rubbing soap into his chest. Neyvahn's breath caught for a second, her warm touch tingling against his front. Her hands carefully moved over sensitive bruises, lathering more soap against the injuries. Neyvahn gritted his teeth a little while Rei cleaned out the cuts. Rei asked him to lift his legs out of the water for a second. She lathered the soap on them, then let Neyvahn place them back in the water.
Neyvahn was being a little overwhelmed right now. He did his best to keep his eyes forward. Knowing Rei, if he looked back, he'd be in more trouble than he was when he was fighting Conner. Neyvahn chuckled under his breath, moving his legs around in the warm water. Rei filled the small cup up and began to rinse off the soap, starting with his hair. The water dripped on top and fell down passed Neyvahn's shoulders, bringing the soap with it. Rei ran her fingers through his hair again, clearing it of any more soap, then did the same to the soap on his shoulders and chest.
Rei finally finished washing Neyvahn, unplugging the drain and grabbing a towel. She placed it on top of his head, shuffling it around. Neyvahn was just glad that it was over. He wouldn't really be able to handle much more. After Rei finished drying off his hair, she rested the towel around his shoulders. "feel any better...?"
Neyvahn took a slow, deep breath in, holding it for a few seconds. He released the tensed breath, his muscles relaxing. "Very much so. Thank you, Rei." He turned around. Rei's eyes locked with his, her cheeks a rosy color. Her damp hair seemed to stick to her face, the rest drooping down passed her waist. Neyvahn took a shaky breath, looking away and steadily standing up. He dried the rest of his body with the towel, then wrapped it around his waist. His face felt like it was on fire right now.
After a long day, Neyvahn and Rei need to rest. Both of them knew that. Rei grabbed a brush from the counter as they both left the bathroom. Neyvahn went over to his bed, but there wasn't anything besides his already torn up clothes and armor. He sighed. He'd have to fix that later. Neyvahn turned around and opened a sliding door next to the beds to reveal two sets of complimentary motel sleepwear. It would have to do. Neyvahn grabbed a pair of pajamas and slipped them on. He paused for a second. They were more comfortable than he had expected. He grabbed the other pair and turned to give them to Rei. He stopped dead in his tracks.
She was sitting on her bed, brushing her long pink hair in only her underclothes. After all, her dress became badly burnt after their fight. It looked like she was thinking of something, the color in her cheeks still glowing. She held her hair, brushing through it before she noticed Neyvahn looking over at her. If it was possible, her cheeks grew an even pinker color. She dropped the brush and curled into an upright ball.
Neyvahn looked away and held the pajamas out to her. "I-I'm sorry! Here... They're complimentary from the hotel..."
