    Job: https://www.fairytail-rp.com/t20951-kidnap-the-noble

To each heist there were many variables which needed to be taken into account, facets which need to be researched and planned ahead of time, plans made in case of something bad happening on the Heist, well this was ho it went for a strategic mind such as Emerick's, thought for the usual magi they would simply come in with 'guns blazing' as it were. They were so much greater than the common man and woman that this approach was usually a successful one. Emerick could go into the details of why having a plan beat just waltzing through the scene, though rather he had already began to 'stake out' the manor of the heist at perhaps the best vantage to case the joint - as an overnight butler.

This job gave him a great view into the criminal underbelly of the Noble's life and world. What more, it would give Emerick the ability to spring a nice 'surprise' on his 'allies' when the job partner showed up at last. It had been four days since Emerick first took the job as an overnight butler, but he had managed to mentally map every single facet of the manor from exits to alcoves and rooms, to hallways and where his master could be found himself. All of it had been cataloged and analyzed over and over to find any weak points in the nightly guard and servant routine and after four days now had come to form the beginnings of a plan. Even alone Emerick felt like he could handle the job with enough planning and preparation. Emerick didn't matter if he had been told it was a hard job - it would be easier because he knew what he was doing.

This particular evening was one like many others, filled with the usual hum-drum of his life as an overnight butler. On this particular night, the job would finally begin though Emerick himself would not know until the scene started. Found within his small room within the Manor, Emerick affixed the tie of the black suit neatly, taking time to languidly stretch the black leather gloves over his fingers and finish dressing for his overnight job. Quickly, he stood and took one good look into the depths of the mirror until finally stepping away and to the door. He was now on duty but that would be shortly lived as his cover would soon be broken when things started. For now, the calm before the storm ebbed in the quiet echoes throughout the manor. Emerick was on the move tonight, dealing with bringing the platters from the kitchen to the dining hall for the lord.

To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers) Empty Re: To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers)

Post by Chloe Rivers 12th June 2016, 1:14 am

Really, Chloe was here for the food, and well the possibility to eat someone. The rich aroma of flavors filled the outside, and Chloe just happened to be down wind. While she wasn't one for 'cooked' food all the time, in fact, she was similar to that of a jungle cat with her tastes. However today the smell was just so over whelming that it lingered to the outside, causing many of the other animals to pick up the scent too. It was only a matter of time till even Chloe was perched in a near by tree, covered by the shade, and concealed by the lack of sunlight as the day was coming to an end. Overnight shifts were starting, and the smell was amazing. So this must be 'dinner' or at least thats what humans seemed to call it. Chloe simply called it nummy time! After all, such food---- ooh reflection!!

Leaping from the tree top to the building's edge. A mirror was in view, and happened to reflect Chloe, which only caused her to climb through the window. Once inside, she perched herself on the dresser that had the mirror attached to it. Her position was more of a feline 'sit' position, as she was batting at the mirror casually, kind of curious of how they worked. Though she was not as absorbed into the mirror as a cat, but rather was absorbed in her own reflection more. This became more apparent as she started to groom herself more and more to the point she accidentally kicked a small object off when she had raised a leg to start licking up her leg, trying to clean. Coincidentally, this room also belonged to the butler that just left, and said butler was Emerick. Though She did remember the meeting with Mashyuu, and tended to keep her clothes on for this 'cleaning', even if she was reluctant to do such, finding it more of a nuisance now than anything.

The room left behind was one of abject perfectionism, everything was neat and tidy, everything had a place which was logical in where it could be found so if one were to simply think of where such an item would normally be found, they would find it. Of course, a cat-like person such as Chloe would not find such a method to the organization of the room perhaps. The room itself was spartan in decor, it only held what it needed to in order to be a functional bedroom and nothing more. As for the item knocked over, it was some sort of memorial urn on a small table, with strange letters across one side and the picture of a prince kneeling before the queen on the other.

Meanwhile, the wafting smell of smoked salmon could be smelled by the feline, carrying to the direction of Emerick - in fact the aroma would lead to Emerick himself as he carried a platter filled with smoked salmon off towards where the other smells were originating from. As of the moment he seemed to be found within a barren hallway leading to a closed door in the distance. He was observant as always and wasn't about to let anyone or anything get past his sight un-checked. If Chloe were to sneak up on him, she'd likely get two to three seconds of surprise before the black king found her, and what would happen from there is unknown. At the moment, however, the chess Player solely focused on the job. He had decided that this was the night for his plan to go off as he had done enough planning.

By now Emerick had memorized the patrol paths and service routes, the changing of shifts, and had a full mental map of the manor which he overlays and cross-reference all movement information upon. The game was coming to a close and Emerick was the one who could be called the victor if all went according to plan. Of course with the unknown of Chloe it wasn't likely to all go according to plan, however some plan was often much better than no plan. At the moment, Emerick came to the door at the end of the hall, pressing his hand to it to open the door wide as he twist the handle.

To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers) Empty Re: To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers)

Post by Chloe Rivers 15th June 2016, 2:34 am

In her mind, this was not even breaking and entering. More like... entering and borrowing. Scratch that, it was pretty much just open for her right? Despite the object that was accidentally kicked off and landed on the ground with a 'thud' followed by a crack, Chloe tried to not make much noise at all as she finished grooming herself. Then again, it wasn't because she was done, but rather because she simply found something else to catch her attention. That 'something' was a creek in the floor board. At first it was soft, almost too silent for one that wasn't even paying attention to their surroundings. The second time the floor creeked would cause Chloe to quickly look around. The window would be a great idea yes! Run! Yet something told her not to.

The third creek came from right outside the door. Chatter could be heard, it was two feminine voices, young but they sounded cautious. Chloe knew her time was limited if she stayed still, yet she was like a deer in headlights. Where to hide? What to do? They'll find her if they search! Her instincts told her to keep low and hide. The doorknob was now turning, and two maids seemed to wander in.

"well the noise came fro--- oh I see it Tiff look on the ground"

"Yes, looks like the window was left open too"

    "Think it was a burglar?"

"Possibly... yet hmm" the woman stepped forward looking at the dresser.

    "What is it?"

"White fur. Its fine like a cat's."

    "So an animal got in?"

    "Yeah looks like it..."

The conversation no longer mattered as one maid stooped down to begin cleaning it as a third voice rang out. They were indistinguishable from male or female as the voice was barely heard by Chloe.

"Yeah we got it, seems an animal got in through one of the butler's windows." A maid would holler down, continuing to clean the mess.

However this mess would not remain the only one left. Chloe had came from behind the door to the maid that was not cleaning anything up. Her nails extended out and before even the woman could scream, Chloe would decapitate the first maid, causing blood to spray forward as Chloe pushed the body forward to avoid blood from touching her clothes. The other maid whom heard the sound of the body drop looked back in horror, just before Chloe's teeth sank into her neck, ripping out a chunk, while her right hand aimed for the maid's chest only to be kicked away. The maid could barely make a word leave her mouth. Clotted with blood, only a gargle came up when she went to speak. The color in her face was already leaving. Chloe had left a fatal wound on this maid, and she knew it, heck the time to live was down to a minute at best. After all, Chloe had done more than just rip the jugular vien. Crushing a windpipe and piercing into it with her teeth only made the situation worse for the maid. Yet at that time, the maid did began to step forward trying the best to fight, yet Chloe's kill was already confirmed. A second strike, ended the fight.

So now two maids down and out, permanently except now Chloe was left with two bodies, and a huge mess to clean. If... she even decided to clean it. With the first two maids down and out now though, Chloe knew her biggest mistake. She as a hunter and predator of the wild knew the smell of death would come all too soon. It'd happen eventually, but would she be able to just flee fast enough? Her heart began to skip beats as she looked around. The room was hardwood, so the staining of wood would not be possible just yet. Her instincts told her to pick the bodies up avoiding getting blood on herself, aside from that which was running down her lips already, or her hands.

She would toss both bodies into the bathroom tub that was connected to the room. Grabbing a towel herself, she would wipe down the hardwood where the blood was, taking several trips to do this. After all, the wounds she made caused blood to happen fairly quickly. Once it was cleaned enough, she began by cleaning herself off next. No blood on her clothing, then again...seriously why does Chloe even where clothes. She cleaned herself up none the less and would wait in the room. Someone... was bound to notice two missing people. Should Chloe flee now? or... no Something kept her here. The smell of food perhaps. That was a definite idea, yet those near her also were an idea. Had they not been around cleaning chemicals their entire day, the smell might appease Chloe. Fortunately, she refrained from outright eating the two dead maids because of said chemical stench.

"first time I've not eaten my kill... shame I should do this more. I'll get fat if I eat everything" Her words were whispered, mainly to calm herself as a drop of sweat dripping from her cheek. The fur on her tail stood on end, and her entire posture was ready to pounce the first thing that entered the room. Yet she knew to wait... wait in hiding like a feral jungle cat waits for their pray to come to her. She could leave yes, but why...she already murdered, no reason to stop there, especially if she could get out safely and possibly with food that didn't smell like chemicals.

To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers) Empty Re: To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers)

Post by Luna Jaeger 15th June 2016, 7:13 pm

Peering through the open door, Emerick's abrasive nature pushed him back from the tightly corner as his ears picked up the sound of three voices. In particular, it seemed as if something had happened in his room and it seemed though a cat had been through his room to make a mess out of it. Emerick was already turning about to notice the two overnight maids and the third voice which belonged to young master's private bodyguard. None other save the four of them were in the hall and so Emerick set the platter lightly upon a nearby table as he took to a casual walk which would bring him within hearing distance to the two maids who now chat among themselves with the prospects of cleaning Emerick's room for him. Soft, measured voice now spoke out to the bodyguard from behind in a casual tone, "Indeed, it seems that an animal got into my room, how careless... I'll take full responsibility for this. Of course... you won't be the one to take account for this mess as your time on this world is growing short friend. You see, I'm here to kill ya."

At the same time as his speech, Emerick had raised his right hand outwards and to the side, astral energy forming into a fine needle as acouterments took hold along the needle's length. As the white and black vortex formed, it took the shape of an exquisite rapier with runes reading 'I AM KING' in ancient dialect glowing upon one of the blade's side while the crown capped the pommel with an exquisite bronze hand-guard that wrapped around the wielder's hand yet in an unobtrusive way. The clean hiss of hair could be heard behind the bodyguard however it was already too late. This was the perfect time as well because this hallway was abandoned due to the changing of shifts, it was a perfect attack. As the bodyguard turned around, he would miss any slight of the man as Emerick teleported away at a bound.

Emerick's form would phase into view a moment later abreast of the bodyguard and slightly behind him and needled into him three times. The first three strikes were true regardless of how fast the personal bodyguard could move, however the fourth narrowly cut his cheek in a miss as the guard came in to hit Emerick with his own weapon, a well-kept rapier of sterling silver. Emerick riposted the failed attack, whipping King over and about to dif into the shoulder of the body-guard before bouncing back and away. It had been drawn now into a duel of two blades, though with Emerick regaining space between the two he had hoped to allow his spell enough time to cool-down. There was also Chloe but he didn't know she was there so he couldn't help but fend for himself. There was something which bought advantage for Emerick though, that the bodyguard would be stunned that 'one of their own' was now attacking him.

Again, the personal bodyguard lunged though this time with slower movement as Emerick slid his blade in, knocking the other's rapier down to the guard and away while at the same vein knocking King up and into a double thrust towards the bodyguard's torso. The other released the sword purposefully and came at Emerick swinging. Emerick was easily tossed back against the force of the bodyguard's fist, though it had struck against the guard's rapier. Emerick was edging him out in seed as he weaved through the chain of punches then released a few cuts among the arm. Standing a few meters away now, Emerick spoke in a determined tone. The rapier in his hand began to shine with a bright light. "Even at this level... I... can FIGHT! King, become my shining beacon in the imperishable night.... KING'S GAMBIT!"

To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers) Empty Re: To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers)

Post by Chloe Rivers 16th June 2016, 12:38 am

Seconds felt like minutes, and minutes felt like hours. Chloe was not the most patient person especially under stress of her own mind. She could flee now, and never look back yet her ears seemed to pick something up. The sounds of a clash was going on. Were people within the building fighting as well? Was it pure coincidence that she stumbled upon the home in which a brawl was destined to pop out of no where? At first the clash sounded to end quickly, yet un-audible voices would be heard, while another sounded rather determined. Loud and determined enough for Chloe to register what they said, and who. It sounded like a young man, and the words she caught were something about a king's gambit. While the curiosity could get the best of Chloe, now at least wasn't the time to be drawn by curiosity. Instead her body seemed to move on its own, pacing through the room until she was out in a hallway.

Her posture was still low enough that she crept along the side of the hall way until a single voice rang out to her.

"Hey, you who and what are you doing here, answer before I have to get rough with you"

The voice sounded like another male's, not the same one as she heard before. Yet Chloe, being Chloe decided to be cute and turn her heard "Nya~?" she spoke, acting as if she knew no other language. Her body took her closer to the male, inching closer not even looking hostile in the least.

"Don't play dumb with me freak."

While it did annoy her, Chloe only lowered herself more and began to back up once the male showed intimidation. A voice next to him appeared

"Roger, maybe you should be nice to the poor thing. It doesn't seem to hold any form of intelligence. Maybe this was the animal the maids yelled down about."

"Yeah you're right... hey Kitty kitty kitty, come here. I'll put you somewhere nice and warm" Though the voice mumbled slightly "yeah... warm as in the trash"

As the butler seemed to come closer and closer to Chloe, her stance lowered, her fingers curled as she extended her claws out, not daring to reveal her weapon just yet while the maid onlooked. This male before her though seemed more than easy enough to take out, however the maid? Last maid she encountered left a bruise on her chest. Which was more than annoying enough to deal with. Yet to understand the situation Chloe was in, she simply let the butler thing get closer and closer to her. When a hand reached out to touch her. Chloe's head reacted differently by pushing against the hand letting out a soft purring sound.

"Hmm... think its a magical beast? or just one that never learned speech? They seem to naturally mimic a cat. Perhaps like an exceed or the alike?"

"Thats a potentially good guess" the maid would respond, yet still seemed leary of the thing herself even as she approached and bent over to pet Chloe.

now was the chance though, her two opponents were within claw range, and at that she let out another "Nya~ <3" in response to the pet. Except this time it was acompinied by a quick lunge forward. Her motions were fluid as both hands raised up to strike the two in the neck simultaneously. The quick reaction time of the maid allowed her to narrowly escape her neck being completely pierced through but the jugular was still hit. It was Chloe's intended target after all. However for the butler, his neck was far too destroyed. Chloe's nails managed to pierce the jugular and into their wind pipe too. Able to cause a suffocation as the blood would leak into it. A definate cruel kill, yet effective in making the man unable to speak. However the maid, whom was able to jump back in time, instantly took a knee and placed her hand on the wound. "I...I-Intruder!!!!!!!! Be ALERT!", her voice rang out throughout the entire house hold. Now, Chloe's time to leave was soon at hand, except now despite being covered in blood, she would stand up, licking her nails.

"You all don't taste good..." Chloe responded, as her eyes gazed at the helpless maid whom was already knocking on death's door. The wound was deep and vicious. No matter how much one could survive in the magical world, a physical wound was still a physical wound, one that could ultimately dish out death long before death was a possibility. Her body took her forward again, leaping in a bound to attack the maid whom was already gone pale. Their reaction time had slowed, they were too weak to keep fighting, and when Chloe seemed to pass right by them, a second wound appeared. Her nails had cleanly sliced past the maid's neck, causing not just the wound to become deeper, but the head to be removed entirely.

Though when she kept running forward the first turn she made, the two men that were fighting were there, while behind Chloe down the hall were two other maids. Her path was cut off, the only hope was the nearby rooms. Yet she didn't trust them. Instead, her eye fixiated on the two men, one of them being Emerick. Her eyes immediately focused on the bigger one of the two(npc), obviously thinking if he took that one out, then the other might just run.

To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers) Empty Re: To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers)

Post by Luna Jaeger 16th June 2016, 10:19 am

Emerick on the hand was perhaps one of the most patient individuals as he layed plan and trap into the fold of his attacks. Emerick could patiently await for these traps to spring of their own accord at his own leisure. He had planned for each and every single variable and each and every possibility which could happen. This was how Emerick fought, not as a chaotic storm but as an order to be reckoned with. Emerick's ears pricked slightly as he heard sounds from the other side of the hallway though with his head turned to that side all he could do was listen on. One of them, a butler named Roger seemed to be antagonizing the creature which had gotten into his room by the sound of it. He was soon chided however by a feminine voice. She seemed to be genuinely nice, though the antagonistic voice of the male reigned again.

The sounds of a conflict arose sharply afterwards though Emerick had no time to turn his head as he had his own situation to deal with. A thought came to emerick's mind as he pushed his body back narrowly, avoiding the fist that smashed into the all where his head had been previously. Emerick was already too busy to make a move of his own, though perhaps Emrick could use this to his own advantage. The butler-turned-assailant further plotted and planned just as he waved through the strokes of his opponent. Finally, it was his turn as Emerick launched himself to the inside of the punch which narrowly missed him, thrusting his rapier with the force to impale him through the chest with a solid -crunch-. The rapier as well as her owner then vanished entirely, passing the other male entirely via spatial teleportation

Haphazardly, Emerick brought himself through the blink of time to one of the two males at the other hallway. The sword had already plunged through the chest of the first male as the second had any chance to act, though Emerick was simply too fact as he seemed to avoid the attack aimed at him by a mile and quickly raked the point of the rapier against the second's throat. Now faced towards the cat-woman and the bodyguard, Emerick took a slow and steady walk forwards. Now, as Emerick walked, two other selves seemed to split from himself and join him at either side. the two at the sides broke into a run, surpassing the cat woman without care to thrust out at the bodyguard. Meanwhile, the central figure flickered and attacked from the behind from on high in a close acrobatic twirl while the other two attacked from the sides.

As Chloe could only watch on and decide what part she might or might not take in the melee, the Personal Bodyguard lashed out to his right while moving out of the pattern of the left's attack entirely, however he could not process the attack of the other which buried it's thrust into the shoulder of the bodyguard - causing blood to spurt. The bodyguard delivered a quick elbow to the true Emerick which caused all of his splits to conjoin him as the bodyguard shifted his posture and now leaped high into the air with the intent of slamming down on Emerick. all Emerick could do would be to take some of the damage on his free arm. The effect would cause a loud and audible crunch as the arm was fractured, however Emerick was up again to his feet.

Emerick had managed to drive some distance between himself and the bodyguard to allow a lapse of breath. He would continue to fight this man but now there was a new and unknown variable added to the mix of it. Now, wounded in such a way, there was only one trump-card left in Emerick's possession and that was the cat-girl who had stared upon the scene with indecision. Emerick's primary hope now relied on her aid, though he couldn't be sure that the cat-girl would aid him at all. Despite, the personal bodyguard was now all which stood between him and his objective - and her and her freedom. Having drawn some space between himself and his foe, Emerick applied the symbol of the knight chess piece to some random place on Chloe's body as he spoke. "KNIGHT TO U12!"

    To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers) Hunter+x+Hunter+-+85+-9

The heat of the battle was already taking a toll on Chloe. Not physically or stamina draining no, yet it drained her mentally. Why was she here, and still now cornered. Two were on her side still fighting, and then two in front of her down the hall way. Being cornered like this was difficult, yet at the same time she realized at least one of the two to her side were not her enemy. No, they seemed to have chosen the same house to invade just like she did. Something was wrong though. Was it just fate? Perhaps it was. Yet Chloe was not about to rely on fate to get her out of this circumstance. Her body forced her against the wall as the two maids were now running down the hall towards her.

Her heart beat again and again as sweat dripped down her face. Chloe's back pressed against the wall as she slid down, her eyes lost any form of tremble, her fear of being cornered began to change as if something just 'snapped'. Her gaze turned to the throats of the two maids as her smile widened to show the razor sharp teeth full of blood from the maid she had bitten down into before. All nails were extended as she slide a foot back against the wall watching the two draw closer and closer, running, sprinting to take out Chloe in some abnormal tag team. However did they detect it? Detect that Chloe was not backing up for safety, but rather to boost off from the wall. Her body was low to the ground, and she took up a position that looked highly similiar to a cat getting ready to pounce with one leg pressed against the wall simply getting ready to boost forward.

Thats when it hit her. The man to her side spoke, using some sort of magical spell on her to enhance her. The muscles on her body reacted differently to the spell, as she suddenly felt different. Did he curse her? No, the feeling was good. The magical essence that flowed through her body showed the spell was passive in effect, in fact it was a physical buff. This sudden buff did something else unexpected though. It had unlocked her aura, a strong chaotic purple aura surrounded her. Full of malice as the body seemed to darken slightly from behind the veil of purple aura. Her eyes began to glow a violent crimson - yellow hue as her nails extended out to their full length. Everything about Chloe was changing at a rapid pace, down to even the shallow breaths she was taking in. The air began to feel chilly around her as she opened up her mouth to speak

"Come little fluffy humans. I can't even remember the last time this primal urge took over"

It was obvious things were about to get ugly really quick, and the moment the maids were within jump distance, obviously they were gamling on the fact there were two of them and one of Chloe. In the back of Chloe's mind resided the chaotic change that was slowly consuming her and the sudden supplementary spell had began a change in her that was hard to reverse. Yet this change was for the better... at least to Chloe it was. However now was not the time to doddle on the future, but as the maids drew closer to Chloe, her smile grew. The leg used to push against the wall would extend back, forcing her body forward at such a heightened speed due to Emerick's spell, and her own speedy vicious attack. Her strike would find it's mark on the first maid. Her nails dug into the maid's neck again, aiming right for the kill spot right away as the second maid managed to bring a knee up to Chloe's stomach, more focused on catching her in the side of the ribs.

Still, one down and the other to go. However, as Chloe was sent to the side with a thud she felt the pain ripple into her body. That knee to her side hurt badly, and that maid was not ordinary either. The fight was not going to end very well despite it now being a one on one for both sides. Quickly jumping back as soon as she got to her feet, only to be brought to a knee while she held her side with one hand. The pain was like nothing she felt before, yet she had claimed her fifth kill. One more, right? just need to finish this one, and run, cause the other guy, in Chloe's mind, was going to handle the last one.

To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers) Empty Re: To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers)

Post by Luna Jaeger 19th June 2016, 3:04 am

The weird cat-girl down the hallways was doing no favors to the 'hand that feeds her' in terms of Emerick's own attempts to aid the girl, yet she also seemed confused about her situation in particular. She seemed to take on cat-like features in her movements, methodology, and theology so that Emerick was convinced she thought of herself as a cat. Emerick didn't want to concern himself with the girl for the moment though as he had his own situation to deal with and the chess player had already done all that he could possibly think of for the girl. She had already received the power of 'The Knight' infused within her.

The tactical logic behind why Emerick had released his spell to increase the girl's combat abilities was a twofold strategy as Emerick himself would also be effected by the buff that had been cast thanks to King's Gambit. His form quickly blurred at the edges as his strikes now increased even greater in power that the fight against this head bodyguard wasn't about to end that easily for the bodyguard's victory. Emerick's weariness seemed to subside as new strength was now suffused within his limbs, and he caught his second wind it seemed. The chess player was already prepared to resume the fight.

With the fight resumed, Emerick raised King sharply as the unarmed brawler of a bodyguard quickly broke into a forward lunge towards the imagination mage with a powerful jab incoming which Emerick narrrowly side-stepped to where he could feel the air from the punch slamming into his face, twisting the heel on his back foot to push the arm away while a quick thrust lanced in but was caught on the hilt of a parrying dagger. Emerick quickly took a forward step, exposing himself while careening his head with fore into the forehead of the butler, knocking the other back at the extense of a wound to his thigh from that dagger.

Reaching down, Emerick quickly flicked the dagger behind himself while taking to a slight limp to nurse his injured leg. Emerick now re-addressed the bodyguard who had taken a true brawler stance with both arms held before himself. Emerick was about done playing around with this man and so he had decided to hinge everything that he had on one last all-out attack that would make or break the fight. Emerick was a gambling man, though he didn't risk anything on pure chance and had always laid careful strategy into motion with his 'gambles'.

Emerick focused tightly a resurgence of health and vitality infusing both with extended life while their skin itself seemed to harden as he invoked the power of the Rook into the cat girl and then into himself. She would find that the weapons of the maid couldn't do much effect to her while Emerick found this would help in the last titanic blow-against-blow attack. The extra vitality would also help replace any blood he had lost from that punch he had taken. This all played further into Emerick's strategy of outlasting his opponent and strangely he felt a need to help the young woman on the opposing side of the corridor.

"Well then... I believe we have both decided how this will end - with a single attack..."

Emerick spoke to his foe just as he prepared to deliver his everything with this last attack, Focusing the rapier before him, Emerick broke out into his charge towards the bodyguard with a long run despite the damage to his leg. With a flourish of the arm, the rapier was brought into a long thrust towards the victim to the fore. Just as the thrust would meat it's apex however and overextend itself, Emerick vanished in the blink of an eye. Finally, he came down with the thrusted point, King's blade making a jagged line into the skull of his foe and out in one concise motion as Emerick landed to the right of his foe's ruined corpse. The weapon at his hand seemed to shatter inwards at that same moment, however, and cut him deeply in the chest.  Emerick had not come out unscathed but he had won his bout.

Emerick took the spare time to clean his clothing, removing his coat in particular and setting it over the head of the fallen foe in some sort of battlefield valor, however most interestingly, his eyes now shifted to the girl who he had aided to observe how her own struggle was going. As Emerick cleaned himself to a respectable level, he slowly took to a walk on the path to meet with the girl, though at the same time he didn't want to invade in her fight, no he would take his time in his walk, ensuring that Emerick would only arrive once she was victorious. "Hello, I am Emerick Aonhardt and I am on a mission. If you would have the foresight to stick around for some moments, I will ensure you are properly payed for helping me on this job, even if it wasn't entirely intentional. May I know your name?"

To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers) Empty Re: To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers)

Post by Chloe Rivers 30th June 2016, 7:28 pm

Still paying little attention to the other man, Chloe darted to assault the last maid. She was ready, her body ached like hell and back as she went in for a surprise kick at the last second only to have the maid seem to pull back at the moment of impact, with another kick to her gut. Yet instead of sending Chloe back, it only winded her a bit while she managed to catch the maid's blouse with her hand, pulling roughly and ripping part of it off only in attempt to pull her closer for the other hand that tore into the maid's chest, allowing her longer nails to pierce the heart while her mouth found the girl's next, tearing at it with her razor sharp teeth. The final kill as claimed at that moment, nothing of the mortal world or magicless would be able to survive such a thing, and yet? Chloe felt sympathy for the thing. She had been killing not for food, but rather just because she was there, and misunderstandings led to another and to another. Was this still survival? Was it defending one's life? Potentially, yet at that same time, Chloe could not waste more time.

Her body spun on the spot, and noticed the two other were done with their fight. One was still walking towards her, wait... why? Why was he walking towards her? Her eyes were full of distrust and fear as she took a few steps back, tripping over the body and causing a near by light stand to crash as she reached to stop herself. The woman had no idea how to respond at first, except she shook her head. "N-name? I don't have one... what does payed mean?" she was confused, as not understanding that aspect of society, she didn't understand much "are you foe?" she questioned, still regaining her posture as she was quite frankly covered in blood now after tripping over a body like that. Enough so that she felt the need to go clean herself up, yet right now was not the time.

Instead she managed to get to her feet, keep her nails extended out as if ready to claw at Emerick in case a fight would break out, yet at that same time she felt a little relaxed by the man's lack of a hostile look. She noticed Emerick looked more dignified than a random attack onto her. Instead he seemed to be grateful for her attacking and killing the maids and other butlers. No doubt his target was that other strong guy? Perhaps? if it wasn't than who was it? Questions she did not know or really cared about in general. Right now, she was confused - yet relieved. Despite being covered in blood, and her primal attack was long over, perhaps it was only triggered for a brief moment due to magic being used on her like that, a fluke maybe? Who knows. Yet she was now fully in control, simply waiting out a reaction before continuing with her own.

To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers) Empty Re: To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers)

Post by Luna Jaeger 5th July 2016, 8:41 am

Emerick viewed the girl as she moved through the hallway and towards the last maid, his detailed sight observing the natural grace and cat-like features of her moments as she moved, observing the rather jerked kick towards the maid only to have it turned back on her to wind her stamina to some level. Next, the girl bound off again to grasp the blouse of the maid and tore into her chest and at the same time gouging out the maid's neck with a bite. He had seen the details in her movements that one without such a sight couldn't seen and it interested him that Chloe acted as such, though by the same he wasn't trying to make sport of her - he simply wished to know more of her. As Emerick drew nearer with each passing step, Chloe could see that he was still being careful and would not go down without a fight. She seemed surprised and distrusting at first though maybe a bit of curiosity? He could see something questioning in her eyes. Emerick was genuine in his words, not even startled that she was covered in blood. He spoke to her once again, calmly as he indicated to his room "You can get cleaned up in my room, I noticed that you seem to want to go clean yourself. It's also strange to find one without a name, however I will explain everything. First of all, I am currently here on a job, that is someone is paying me to do something and in this particular case it is to kidnap the estate's lord."

Emerick now removed a hand-full of jewel and showed it to the girl as he spoke again, "Payment is when you recieve money such as this which can be used to pay for certain things at a market like clothes, weapons, general goods, and pay for services like cleaning one's clothes, having things made specifically for you, and other such services. Usually, you receive payment after doing something for someone."

Memories of a similar incident came flooding to Emerick's memory of when his little sister was hit in the head by a club in an 'accidental' beating, Emerick ensured that those responsible would get theirs once he had found them, however since then his little sister was slow in the head likely to brain damage. She couldn't remember much and while she was coherent, she didn't know much of the world and only of her little part of it. Emerick had to rehabilitate her by teaching her of these things which she had lost, and it reminded him of the explanations that he was giving now. This girl didn't seem to be a special-needs patent so perhaps she had a rough childhood and never learned of the basics of the world such as this. Still, this instilled a feeling in the pit of Emerick's stomach that made him want to help Chloe.

Emerick seemed friendly to the girl, a warm smile pressed to the crease of his lips. He didn't look like he was going to treat Chloe any differently like a child, no he genuinely treated her with respect rather than trying to baby her. At the same time, Emerick sensed something off about Chloe, something that seemed to be bugging him at the back of his mind - particularly something 'magical' about the girl yet she herself didn't seem to display magic. Perhaps she had some hidden magic within her, which Emerick could help to unlock though this wasn't important at the moment. Emerick quickly left the scene should she go to clean herself up, to arrive afterwards with a simple gray tunic and leather trousers for her, paired with a leather coat. Offering these clothes to her, he spoke again in an honest tone. "When you are ready, we'll head over to finish my job if that's fine with you? It's not too far away from here, I'll show you the way if you plan to follow me. You'll get some of those jewels too from this mission if you come with me."

To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers) Empty Re: To Kidnap a Noble (Job/Chloe Rivers)

Post by Chloe Rivers 9th July 2016, 3:53 am

When all was said and done, Chloe stayed reasonably calm, and yet at that time when she was lead to the man's room her eyes would trail to the ground. "I uh... killed the other maids in your room. You left the window open and I liked your reflection maker thing, I think its called a mirror?" Her words still full of innocence tried to refrain from revealing how she was still a chaotic little entity that could turn on anything fairly easily. Her mind raced as she looked to the restroom where she hid the bodies from sight. Though despite this, she entered it anyways to clean up. It was no more than about a fifteen minute job to fully clean and end up washing up. A fireplace was the perfect home for her old clothes, which she'd have to remember to go fetch clothing that looked like it some other time for now at least time to walk around in the nude.

Well that was the plan till she noticed clothing set out for her. Funny, yet unfortunate. She would end up slipping into it fairly easily as if Emerick had taken the time to figure out her body size. Perhaps they belonged to a house maid around here? in either case it was a well accepted gift. One that Chloe smiled after finishing putting it on. "Though I prefer less clothing, I like this, thank you. Also, you mentioned something called a jewel. Is that food?" see, she was told what payment was, not what jewels are. She was shown a jewel yet she had no clue that was the exact thing. This led her to have a curious cat complex that also made her mind wander off to how to cook a jewel, and what flavor a jewel was, or if one ate jewels raw, or if they ate them frozen like that 'ice cream' stuff she heard about. Perhaps a jewel was something along the lines of a season? was it a cooked or raw fluffy?

Endless thought train would end when Chloe's mind tracked back to the situation at hand, she was still following this man whom she just met. It seemed almost natural to her, yet she was still careful to tread lightly. "I... I think I should go I don't feel safe" Even with that, she had ended up leaving the area with haste, not even giving her potential friend a chance to speak before she was gone.

EDIT: I edited my post to make Chloe leave early due to the job ending up getting canceled by my job partner.
