Job: https://www.fairytail-rp.com/t20951-kidnap-the-noble
To each heist there were many variables which needed to be taken into account, facets which need to be researched and planned ahead of time, plans made in case of something bad happening on the Heist, well this was ho it went for a strategic mind such as Emerick's, thought for the usual magi they would simply come in with 'guns blazing' as it were. They were so much greater than the common man and woman that this approach was usually a successful one. Emerick could go into the details of why having a plan beat just waltzing through the scene, though rather he had already began to 'stake out' the manor of the heist at perhaps the best vantage to case the joint - as an overnight butler.
This job gave him a great view into the criminal underbelly of the Noble's life and world. What more, it would give Emerick the ability to spring a nice 'surprise' on his 'allies' when the job partner showed up at last. It had been four days since Emerick first took the job as an overnight butler, but he had managed to mentally map every single facet of the manor from exits to alcoves and rooms, to hallways and where his master could be found himself. All of it had been cataloged and analyzed over and over to find any weak points in the nightly guard and servant routine and after four days now had come to form the beginnings of a plan. Even alone Emerick felt like he could handle the job with enough planning and preparation. Emerick didn't matter if he had been told it was a hard job - it would be easier because he knew what he was doing.
This particular evening was one like many others, filled with the usual hum-drum of his life as an overnight butler. On this particular night, the job would finally begin though Emerick himself would not know until the scene started. Found within his small room within the Manor, Emerick affixed the tie of the black suit neatly, taking time to languidly stretch the black leather gloves over his fingers and finish dressing for his overnight job. Quickly, he stood and took one good look into the depths of the mirror until finally stepping away and to the door. He was now on duty but that would be shortly lived as his cover would soon be broken when things started. For now, the calm before the storm ebbed in the quiet echoes throughout the manor. Emerick was on the move tonight, dealing with bringing the platters from the kitchen to the dining hall for the lord.
