Magic
Primary Magic: Cirque de Rêves (Circus of Dreams; Commonly referred to as Circus Magic)
Secondary Magic: N/A
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: Circus Magic is a unique series of spells created by Hunter Tarot. Stylized after his love of the circus, Hunter's magic is designed to be appealing to the eye but also very useful in many situations. By taking conceptual ideas from several other styles of magic, and reworking them to this own style, Cirque de Rêves was born. Primarily, this form of magic uses a large amount of support and defensive spells, with only some spells being designed for offensive use. Besides drawing from his inherent magical ability, these spells also draw from his imagination and performance skills. Circus Magic involves the use of light shows, smoke and mirrors, beast manifestations, etc. All things one would see at a performance of a circus.
In terms of casting, the magic is entirely simple. All Hunter has to do is say the name of the spell and snap his fingers. If his fingers cannot snap, then he cannot cast any spells.
The magic circle that appears when casting this magic is, for the most part, white, but gleams in a rainbow of colors in the light. This is due to the fact that much of Circus Magic involves the usage of rainbow-colored light.

Unique Abilities:
Crowd Pleaser: Circus Magi live for the applause, and when Hunter has the attention of several people (5+), he can cast a user-ranked spell for free. This effect lasts for one post, and has a cooldown of three.
Aerial Acrobatics: To perform on the trapeze, a circus performer has to be able to handle themselves in the air. Whilst in the air, Hunter can acrobatically dodge a total of three times per thread. Hunter can only dodge once at a time, however, and has a cool down of three posts before he can dodge again. Spells that are higher ranked than the user can not be dodged.
Ringleader: Only when directing and assisting the actions of others does the ringmaster truly shine. When leading, the power of Hunter's buffs increase by 10%.

Strengths:
- Circus Magic spells are, more often than not, very visually appealing and meant to cause some level of distraction, making this type of magic very useful to draw someone's attention.
- Due to the wide array of possible, unorthodox spells that can come from Circus Magic, opponents constantly have to keep on edge for what surprise Hunter might have in store for them.
Weaknesses:
- Circus Magic is not a very offensive heavy type of magic, limiting Hunter's fighting abilities somewhat.
- Many of his support spells only buff others, lowering his physical combat effectiveness.
- If his fingers cannot snap, then Hunter cannot cast spells.
Lineage:
- Spoiler:
- Spirit Link:
Description: A weathered old monk once had the ability to communicate with spirits. These spirits granted him their abilities, linking with the monk, covering him in a misty white aura, allowing him access to a greater power. The spirits that linked with the monk we’re one of an insane berserker, a warrior with a legendary shield, and a dragon. During a great war, the monk fought for his country, and was supposedly killed in action. It’s rumoured that he fled after the battle, supposedly teaching his family in secret the ways to link with spirits as he once did.
Ability: Allows the user to take on the appearance of a berserker, a guardian, or a dragon in combat.
The berserker gains a giant two handed spirit claymore, capable of dealing User ranked melee damage + 50%. This axe ignores one rank of a barrier’s defense of user rank or lower(Max S-rank and when used it knocks off a rank of defense for the axe to cut into as if that rank was not there. The rank taken off is 1 rank of the barrier and not of the user’s rank. The user’s rank determines if the axe will be able to take a rank off or not based on the rank of the barrier). No defensive or healing spells may be used in this form.
The guardian gains a massive shield of adamantium capable of blocking the equivalent of 3 user ranked spells. No additional defensive abilities can be used in this form.
The dragon gives the user the ability to fly and a roar of pure energy equivalent to a user-ranked beam spell once and projectiles akin to "fireballs" of the caster's normal elemental affinity or will be fire if the user does not have an affinity. The projectiles are user-ranked but deal 50% of normal damage. Also can use claws and tail for basic melee damage (Melee damage + 50%). Cannot use any other spells or magic in this form.
Usage: Each form lasts for 3 posts and has a 10 post cooldown. Each form shares a separate cooldown allowing the user to use one after the other if they choose to.
Spells List:
- Spoiler:
Name: Spotlight
Rank: D
Type: Support
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: Hunter can boost the endurance and physical offensive power of an ally by 30% by casting this spell on them. Appearance wise, whilst in the light/daylight, the spell takes the form of a rainbow aura around the person. In the dark/night, an actual beam of light, like a proper spotlight, forms around the affected person and follows them.
Strengths:- Thanks to Spotlight's power and speed boost, this spell can greatly boost Hunter's allies.
Weaknesses:- Spotlight tends to paint a target on the one affected by it, as the aura or actual spotlight tend to draw a bit of attention.
- Hunter can not use this spell on himself.
Name: Smoke and Mirrors
Rank: D
Type: Support, AoE
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: After snapping and calling out the name of this spell, large clouds of brightly colored smoke cover a 15 meter (49 foot) area. Smoke and Mirrors has no inherent special properties, and is just colored smoke that is used to hamper the vision of opponents.
Strengths:- This spell is meant to be used as a escape method for when a battle goes sour or escape is the best option.
Weaknesses:- Smoke and Mirrors can backfire in that it can disorient Hunter's allies by suddenly being in a cloud of colored smoke, and could possibly run into what they were supposed running away from.
- Easily countered by most forms of wind magic.
Name: Flaming Hoop
Rank: D
Type: Support
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: The Flaming Hoop, contrary to the name, is a ring of made of rainbow-colored light, that, when jumped through, gives the person a 25% increase in speed.
Strengths:- Flaming Hoop can be used to give Hunter or his allies the necessary speed to escape a bad situation or quickly attack an enemy.
Weaknesses:- Flaming Hoop can be used by enemies to gain the speed boost for themselves.
- While the Flaming Hoop is large enough for approximately three people to jump through, the Hoop's effect can only be activated twice per casting, so only two people can pass through the Hoop to gain it's effect.
Name: Knife Juggling
Rank: D
Type: Offensive, Multiple Hit
Duration: 1 posts
Cooldown: 2 posts
Description: Hunter creates two handfuls of throwing knives (which number eight in total, as each goes between his fingers) made of rainbow-colored light and tosses them at opponents. Each individual knife deals 2.5 HP, totaling up to 20 HP overall.
Strengths:- Knife Juggling is a practical and easy way for Hunter to combat opponents, what with the number of knives thrown, and the amount of time it takes for him to be able to form them again.
Weaknesses:- The knives are weak individually, and can only rack up real damage if multiple hit their target.
- As these knives are made of low rank magic, they can be dispelled or blocked easily.
- Thanks to Spotlight's power and speed boost, this spell can greatly boost Hunter's allies.
