Magic
Primary Magic:
Gravity Manipulation
Secondary Magic:
None
Caster or Holder:
Caster
Description:
This magic is one that allows the user to alter gravity. It often is altering gravity on a body part, or an entire person. This can affect the people, and areas. For example a user can alter maybe a 10by10 area, or just affect a single person. It can lower gravity, and increase it. In the lower ranked spells there's not many that are offensive. Most are just completely to be handy.
Strengths:
+This can be passive, and active. Meaning some of the affects of this magic always are in use, and some things, like spells are temporary.
+Very handy. There's quite a bit you can do with this magic, and some things like reaching tall places by lowering the gravity is just one of many.
Weaknesses:
-The lower the rank, the less spells that would actually be affective for combat, and more likely just to be handy.
-Since some of it's affects are passive it becomes hard for the user to make these passive effects go away causing somethings to be annoying since there is always a modification to gravity near the user.
-If the user runs out of magic energy. The passive affects will no longer work, which means it may be hard for the user to do every day things since the gravity around them has changed.

- Lineage:
Lineage:
Keeper of Peace:
Description: Legend tells of an enlightened monk who traveled around the world to places of ongoing war. Wherever he went, the war stopped for as long as he was present. However, he realized that whenever he left it would all start over again, so he used a powerful spell to sacrifice himself and spread his gift over the world. Some people are blessed with a fraction of the monk's gift at birth. They can call upon it to stop violence and fighting for a short period of time whenever tapping into the monk's power; they too cannot attack whilst the effect is in play.
Ability: The user shouts and spreads a white light over everyone nearby a 30 meter radius (+20 meters per rank beyond D). All fighting stops for 4 posts. People can still converse and interact, but are compelled not to do anything violent; this also applies to the user.
Usage: Duration: 4 posts. Cool-down: 10 posts. Only affects beings the user’s rank or lower.(S Max)
- Unique Abilities:
Unique Abilities:- Lower Gravity Field:
Lower Gravity Field: This is a passive ability. It creates a tiny field that only affects the user. As the name of this abilty says it lowers the field of gravity by around the user only by about 25%. Which means if the caster can regularly jump up 1 foot, they can now jump 1 and 1/4 a foot. Which also includes when falling/tripping less harm comes to the user because not as much gravity it pushing them down. If someone where to watch the user fall it would almost appear as if they fell in slow motion to some extent.
A negative to this is if they run out of magic energy there every day life would be a bit harder because more gravity would be pushing down on them then they're used to.
- Pressure:
Pressure: This ability is only activated if the user is in a fight. It normally can only be activated with the users emotion, not just on command like a spell. The user must be feeling any emotion very strong during a fight for this to be activated. Making this less like a spell, and more of a hidden ability. A spell wouldn't be able to hold as much power this emotion driven ability.
Anyone within 10 feet of the user would be pressurized with 50% more gravity than regular. Causing anyone within radius to have trouble walking forward, or just moving in general. This is only in affect for about 15 seconds. Because of all the magic the user would have to use to cover a 10 foot radius around them it makes it harder for the user to do much movement during this, causing it to be better at just stopping a fight momentarily.
Let's say the caster is rank D. Anyone that was a rank C would only be hit with 25% more gravity. Anyone a B rank would have no affect. In short terms Anyone the users rank and lower is hit with 50% max, and as it starts getting to ranks above them take 25% off per number of ranks above the caster.
- Patching up Wounds:
Patching up Wounds: She can only use this for herself. If she gets cut, and is bleeding very bad because of it. Her body naturally will create extreme gravity just on this cut which doesn't allow it to bleed. She would still be weak, and hurt if the cut is large enough, but she won't be able to bleed out. A little bit of blood would appear around any larger wound, but not a lot because it can only pressurize the wound to a certain extent. However if she runs out of magic power her body will have nothing to work with, and she'd have to patch up the wound some different way. To be clear the user doesn't cast this of there own will. Their body naturally does it itself if there is a wound on the user. In other words this ability is passive.
- Lay Down Arms:
Lay Down Arms: This is an ability that focuses on hand held weapons. It allows the user to put extreme pressure on weapons, making it harder to swing/fire. It makes pulling a trigger extremely hard to do. With swords it simply slows down swinging rate. This ability is mainly just a debuff, and can't cause any harm. It lowers swing, and trigger speed by 30% Anyone the same rank as the user or lower will have to deal with this debuff for 2 posts If the affected is a rank above the user, the affect will only last 1 post. Anyone two ranks above the user won't be affected at all.
- D Rank Spells:
- Pressurized Punch:
Name: Pressurized Punch
Rank: D
Type: Gravity, Offensive
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: 2 posts
Description: This spell is active when the caster has made the pressure of gravity greater near their hand. Causing whatever they punch to be hit with more power than most could do with just bare hands. They can punch with this about 1-2 times before this affect wears off. Using this they could break through wooden walls, and punch things with a lot of power. This in return can cause some side affects. The punch itself would have to wind up, and would in general be slower because there's more gravity on it. If the user isn't careful they could just as easily break their own hand when punching things like walls, because all it's doing it giving there punch more power, not protecting it from damage.
This deals D-rank spell damage.
Strengths:
+User can break through most wooden walls with this spell
+Is great in hand to hand combat because of all the strength it give the user.[/b]
Weaknesses:
-If used, and caster isn't weary of what they hit, it could cause harm to their hand.
-Causes punch speed to lower
-Only affects the fist making anything else the user attacks with while the spell is active, have the same affect it would even when the spell isn't active.
- A Change in Gravity.:
Name: A change in gravity
Rank: D
Type: Gravity, Supportive
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: When casted this spell can change a persons gravity. It can be used to lower a gravity field, allowing the affected person to walk on walls. They can be stationary on walls, but not roofs. If walking/moving in general a person may be able to walk on the underside of a roof, but if stationary and go on the underside of a roof, they may find themselves tumbling towards a wall, or falling to the ground.
Strengths:
+Makes it easier to get away from a potentially dangerous situation.
Weaknesses:
-This isn't a harmful magic. It only serves to make quicker get aways, or just a tool to get in high areas.
-Can't go on roofs if the affected person isn't walking/crawling. Basically they can't be stationary.
- Increasing Pressure:
Name: Increasing Pressure
Rank: D
Type: Gravity, Offensive
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: This is similar to the ability pressure, except the caster can cast it on command instead of emotions causing it. It also can only affect 1-2 targets at a time instead of anyone near the caster. Making it hard for the targets to move in general. The caster can move about with ease if it's one target, and if it's two the caster can't run, only walk, and will feel deprived of energy while the spell is active.
Like the abilty Pressure it increases the targets gravity by 50% max. Taking away 25% per number of ranks above the spell level. So since this is a D spell, a C rank would only receive 25% more gravity, a B would be unnafected.
Strengths:
+Makes it easier for the caster to attack with weapons since it makes it harder for the target to move.
Weaknesses:
-They can only cast it on two people at a time, even with two people they feel depreived of energy.
-Doesn't cause damage unless the gravity actually crushes the target to a point the target can't handle.
- Slow Fall:
Name: Slow fall
Rank: D
Type: Gravity, supportive
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: 2 posts
Description: This is similar to the passive ability Lower Gravity Field. Except this is not passive, and it's only use is for if the players falling. This is a bit more powerful than the passive abilit because of how it only focuses on falling. If the affected person is falling from a great height that could kill, the user can cast this spell to make the fall more of a float. The affected person would then just float down until they safely reached the ground.
Strengths:
+Keeps a person from falling from great hieghts, instead of falling they float to the ground.
+ Only one can be affected, so if multiple people are falling, all they have to do is cling to the floating person to survive.
Weaknesses:
-If running from something, and say they fall down a cliff. The affected person would be vunerable to anyone with good aim, because they are floating slowly.
-Can only help one person. So if multiple people are falling the user has to make a descision on who to help.
-Even though they can cling to the floating person the more people clinging to them the less this spell works. So they could all still survive, but would still be hurt in the process.
- C Rank Spells:
- Gravity Shield:
Name: Gravity Shield
Rank: C
Type: Gravity, defensive
Duration: 2
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: This is a 10 by 10 foot circle. It can be placed around anything/anyone that isn't more than 10 by 10 feet. This is a protective barrier that can fit multiple people. It's basically a semi circle that encloses around the caster, and whoever may be close enough, and to make it effective a thin layer around the cicle has it's gravity reversed in it's opposite direction. That way people can go out, but not in. Anyone one rank higher than the spell will have a hard time making it through, and anyone two levels higher will have little to no difficulties making it through the barrier. When I say making it through the barrier I mean with spells, them selves, ect. Two C rank spell damages to the barrier will destroy it, and one B rank spell damage will also destroy it.
Strengths:
+Is extremely hard to get into if there's someone the same rank as the spell by anyone the same rank as the spell, or lower.
Weaknesses:
-If the caster wants to protect someone, but they want to leave, they can because it can only keep things out. It can't keep things in.
-If anyone has a spell/magic that can give them speed boost, they may have a chance of getting in if they're the same rank as the spell.
- Gravity Trap:
Name: Gravity Trap
Rank: C
Type: Gravity, Offensive
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: This spell is basically the complete opposite of the gravity shield. It is a 7 by 7 foot semi circle. It has a thin barrier where the gravity is changed to push into the semi circle. Nothing can leave, but anything can go in. Anyone that is a rank above the spell will be able to escape with some effort. Anyone two ranks above the spell may not even notice it's there.
Strengths:
+Is transparent because it's purely gravity.
Weaknesses:
-The caster can get trapped in this if they're clumsy enough to, and will have to wait until the spell wears off.
-Any magics that give the user an extra boost give them the possibility to escape if they are the same rank as the spell. If lower it's nearly impossible to escape.
- Pressure Heal:
Name: Pressure Heal
Rank: C
Type: Supportive
Duration: 3 posts
Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: This doesn't actually heal anything, but it does keep the wound from bleeding. This is similar to her her passive ability 'Patching Up Wounds'. Instead of it being passive this is a spell Kaylin can cast, and it can only affect other people. It puts extreme pressure on someones wound for 3 posts to keep it from bleeding until they can find something else to help.
Strengths:
+Gives the caster, and others time to find something else to patch up a wound since it keeps it from bleeding.
Weaknesses:
-It can't actually heal anything. It just keeps the affected person from bleeding out.
-If the person has already lost blood this can't put the blood back in, or restore the already lost blood in any way.
