Magic
Primary Magic: Bestiary Magic
Secondary Magic: N/A
Caster or Holder: Holder
Description: Anyone in the field of adventuring could tell you about this magic as it is relatively common in that area of expertise.A Holder Type magic that manifests in various objects, some seem to be as simple as tomes and others in the fragments of crystals balls. The benefit of this magic is that the user can have surprise on their side as new foes can be unsure of what exactly lurks beneath the blank pages of a Bestiary tome. Through simply putting down information, the arsenal of a Bestiary object can expand if the user has enough magic to sustain it and call on the beast. However, incomplete passages could result in malformed creatures or berserk states turning even on the summoner as it is warned that all users of Bestiary cross their t's and dot their eyes down to the last fragment of info.
Renee picked up this magic from her parents who were dedicated seekers of knowledge. Her personal tome is made from the hide of a monstrous scorpion slain by her father, it is pale orange and thin black hairs cover it front to back. The inside pages are crisp white unless Renee is actively recording information or summoning from it. While summoning, the pages seem to glow with a faint light as black ink lettering begins to rise from the pages. It is from this ink that the chosen beast appears, ready to fight or be sent back trying.

Lineage:
Ability: The ability to control and manipulate sand at will with their will. Doing so within a 25 meter area, they can direct sand to attack or take various shapes in order to deal the user's rank in melee damage and it increases based on spell power / magic damage buffs rather than strength buffs. The sand can form barriers to help block attacks in which case it is considered a barrier/shield spell of 1 rank of the user’s rank (D-min).
The user can also "Swim" through sand as though it were water and control the and to give them increased grace and speed when "swimming" (50% speed boost).
Usage: Sand must be within 50 ft of them to use with a 5 post duration with a 6 post cooldown(if the user’s magic focuses on sand this can be a passive ability instead). Shields of sand must be made by sand within 50 ft of the user and has a cooldown of 4 posts after use.
Unique Abilities:
Wildlife Enthusiast: Given her experience when it comes to observing wildlife, any beast-like monsters Renee comes across can quickly be scanned for weak spots allowing advantages in combat. Bonus 25% damage to monster types scanned by Renee.
-Can only be used twice in a thread
-Will work only a single beast-like creature, not applicable to a groups of monsters.
Call it Fluffy: Beasts can become somewhat docile in her presence if she has her Tome out resulting in a trance-like state. Trance-like state will remain only two turns in combat situations.
-Mostly non-combative ability, but can be used if needed
-Movement or jostling Renee can drain her magic quickly as she needs to focus on the target.
-Will not work on intelligent beasts such as dragons, mythical creatures etc.
Creative Control: As a holder type mage of Bestiary Magic, the beasts within the book can be assumed to be 'relatively' normal. At least, that is what most people would hope, however the magic infused into the pages of each 'beast' entry allows for modification to the creature to suit combat.

Strengths:
- Cliff Hanger- Potentially anything can be lurking beneath the seemingly calm pages allowing the user a chance at bluffing in combat or a chance to spring a trap and flee.
- Quick casting times and responses to summon calls.
- Choice of Genre- Variety is on the side of the summoner as many mages choose variety in choosing their beasts instead of specializing in a specific tactic.
Weaknesses:
- Water Damage-The tome is the source of Renee's magic as the beasts come from the paper itself. If the tome were to become soaked with water magic, then chances are the beasts will become sluggish or be sent back immediately.
- Damaged Spine- Direct attacks on the book can weaken the connection holding the beasts in place, if one is brave enough to get in that close of range of the summoner.
Monster Tome- The beasts lurking in the book can be stubborn at times, if feeling neglected or over used in combat situations, Renee may have to strain to drag them out. Not all pets live to serve their owner's faithfully as it can take time for the information to sync with her magic.
- Writer's Block- If the tome is somehow physically taken from Renee, she will be unable to use her magic at all.
Lineage:
Sand Demon
Description: A monster in ancient Egypt was locked away, but one fateful night it managed to trick it's captors and escape by taking on a human form and seducing them. Name: The Scorpion
Rank: D
Type: Offensive/Close-Combat
Duration: Two Turns
Cooldown: Four Turns
Description: Summoned through Renee turning to it's page and stating "Predator of the Sand, come forth from these pages." A torrent of ink will flow from the Tome and land in front of Renee, the beast forming within seconds. A reddish orange hide of scorpion around the size of a large dog will appear. Venom will glisten from it's ebony barbed tail. It's back is seems to covered in plated steel that seems to give decent armor. While it's large pincers seem to be enhanced with blades inside the pincers giving it the ability for crushing and piecing damage if it angles it's attacks right.
Active Ability-Venomous Sting- If the target is struck by a blow from it's stinger, venom will be injected into the person's system. Doing an initial blow of half the average damage to health. The venom will continue to do 25% of the normal damage over a period of three turns..as a parting gift.
Passive Ability:Blind Fury- If struck by a target, it's entire focus will be to plainly vanquish until the target is unable to move or fight back. An aggressive styled summon that can hit hard and endure blows.
Strengths:- Close-Combat Specialist
- DOT Active Ability
- Creative Control-The additional plating and blades added on by this spell makes it better suited for combat. At the expense of it's lessened duration time, it does 25% above average damage in attacks.
Weaknesses:- Weak Spot-If flipped onto it's back, any damage inflicted on it will increase by 50%.
- The Tank-It's heavy natural plating and armor reduces it's speed to a crawl.
- Cold Intolerance-Its natural habitat is the sands and heat of the desert, not the cold tundra. Ice spells inflict 25% more damage on it.
- Heavy Load- Slow in movement, it's heavy plating quickly drains personal endurance resulting in a limit of two turn duration.
- Close-Combat Specialist
- The Scarab :
Name: The Scarab
Rank: D
Type: Supportive/Trap
Duration:2
Cooldown:3
Description: Renee has to open her tome and flip to it's page, speaking aloud "Burrower of Dunes, come forth on your golden wings". Golden ink will spout from the tome and form into a horse-sized Scarab with a deep purple carapace. A sapphire jewel is encrusted in the center of it's back. Beady black eyes seemed focus on Renee alone awaiting the next command. Beneath it's shell lies clear wings with the membrane lined with a golden sand that seems to be shed with each wing beat. It's strength lies those fragile looking wings as it can easily create a golden sand storm from the dust it sheds from it's wings. While it has an innate ability to burrow beneath the ground to create pitfalls and will unceremoniously throw out clods of dirt from the holes with a manner of indifference.
Active Ability-Golden Sandstorm- Can create a miniature sandstorm from the golden dust it sheds. The sandstorm can impair the visions of all who get caught in it, the grains could hinder accuracy or be a minor annoyance. It's true purpose is to act as an obstacle to allow additional planning time for Renee. It can only maintain the gust for a max of two turns before being dismissed. Given Renee's Lineage ability, moving through this sandstorm is child's play.
Passive Ability-Burrower of Dunes-As a creature of most comfortable in the dunes of the desert it's natural capability is to burrow. Regardless of the hardness beneath it's six feet, it is mere child's play for it to breach, various debris can be launched from the tunnel that could result in minor injuries.
*Depends on the location and damage will depend on the poster-
Strengths:- Family Guardian-Through the use of it's Active Ability and her personal training in close combat, Renee has made this beast a possible Trump Card to optimal close combat as she can move easily throughout the sandstorm.
- Born Digger-Tunneling is it's natural talent, it can be extremely difficult to catch up with once it begins it's descent into the ground beneath it's feet.
Weaknesses:- Fragile-Has 50% less HP compared to the other beasts in the Bestiary as it is a Supportive creature meant for quick change in tactics/support instead of participating in combat
.- Blunted Blade- If forced into close-combat, it lacks offensive capabilities and if it does any damage it will do 50% of the normal damage.
Retreat- Surprisingly cowardly in combat and will possibly flee from conflict instead of standing it's ground.
- Family Guardian-Through the use of it's Active Ability and her personal training in close combat, Renee has made this beast a possible Trump Card to optimal close combat as she can move easily throughout the sandstorm.
- The Red-Tailed Hawk:
Name: Red-Tailed Hawk
Rank: D
Type: Fire/Offensive
Duration: Three Turns
Cooldown: Four Turns
Description: Summoned through the tome reading of "Crimson Predator of the Sky hear my hunting bells and begin!" Crimson ink will flow from the book above Renee's head and form a surprisingly normal-looking red tailed hawk. It's feathers a mixture of rusted brown with speckles of black here and there. It has two surprising long feathers around it's face making it appear as it has eyebrows. The only oddity about it is the length of it's tail feathers that easily measure about a foot in length leaving behind small fragments of ash with every movement. It's talons are clad in metal to enhance it's damage output in close combat, without hindering it ability in flight. The fastest beast in Renee's collection of D-Spells. It's strength lies within it's ability to create waves of fire from it's tail with single flap of it's wings. The gusts generated by it's wings seems to further increase the range of the waves for personal combat.
Active Ability:Red-Tail: It's strength lies within it's ability to create waves of fire from it's tail with single flap of it's wings. The gusts generated by it's wings seems to further increase the range of the waves for personal combat. As a ranged attack it can hit up to a meter away from the summon with surprising speed.
Passive Ability:Flight-Self Explanatory..it's a bird.
Strengths:- Heat Stroke-The waves of fire it generates from it's tail feathers act as basic fire magic to give it an elemental twist in combat. The waves extend only a meter or two from the bird and dissipate into the air if it does not strike an organic object to cling to.
- Final Ember- At the expense of an additional cool-down turn, this summon has extended it's duration as long as it's elemental weakness are not struck.
Weaknesses:- Clipped wings- If it's wing's are somehow immobilized, it will be unable to generate the necessary conditions for it's Active Ability.
- Damp- It will be much more sluggish if it find it's itself drenched in water. Reduces duration turn by one. The flames generated by it's dampened spark will do 25% less damage with each attack.
Range Combatant-It's primary offensive tactic is through it's active ability. Despite it's sharpened claws, it's attacks in close combat at 25% less effective than it's normal attack.
- Heat Stroke-The waves of fire it generates from it's tail feathers act as basic fire magic to give it an elemental twist in combat. The waves extend only a meter or two from the bird and dissipate into the air if it does not strike an organic object to cling to.
- The Desert Tortoise :
- The Desert Tortoise :
Name: The Desert Tortoise
Rank: D
Type: Defensive
Duration:Two Turns
Cooldown:Three Turns
Description: Turning to a page in the tome as the incantation is read "Peaceful Giant basking beneath the rays of the sun..offer me your shell". The black ink will spill around Renee's feet as the earth cracks from an unnatural pressure building beneath it. Her figure becomes blocked by a shell the size of a small mountain. The shell seems to constructed entirely of compressed rock that built up over the tortoise's lifetime.Bits of precious gems can be seen peeking out on the occasion.Steam seems to rise from the shell as a grey weathered head of a tortoise pokes its head of the shell. While it's four feet seem a bit too small for it's massive bulk just barely poking out from the harden shell.- Active Ability: Basking-If irritated or harassed in any manner, the normally gentle reptile will expel bursts of hot steam from various air pockets along it's shell. Purely a defensive maneuver to deter whatever is getting too close for comfort once every three turns. Can only do 25% damage if a target is struck.
- Passive-Stone Wall-Sacrificing any mobility at all as a Defensive Beast giving it an additional 25%+ health from it's protective shell as it allows Renee to have a temporary shelter. Yet, even the toughest of shields can break.
Strengths:- Fort Knox-Acts as living fort for Renee to hide in for a total of two turns beneath the tortoise's hard shell. If only for a limited time for Renee to sustain her magic.
Weaknesses:- Living Rock-Cannot move at all given it's heavy shell, so maneuvering out of the way for attacks is impossible.
Best Offense is a Good Defense-It's only way to defend itself is through it's heavy shell and the occasional burst of steam to deter opponents. Other than it has little use in terms of offensive tactics.

Purely a defensive maneuver to deter whatever is getting too close for comfort once every three turns. Can only do 25% damage if a target is struck.
