Sprint, duck, spin, kick. It was a dance Kiru was all too familiar with by this point. And Paulie stood no chance. By now, he was too tired, and too angry to even think about his strategy. Kiru could never afford to take that kind of risk in battle. It was crucial in her mind to keep her senses completely intact, because even the slightest flaw can be the downfall of any wizard.
He lay on the ground. His large arms slowly struggled to lift himself up off the splintered floor as a few more men tried to attack Kiru. Same as before, she ducked underneath the swing of one of them, grabbing their arms, cracking it backwards. As he screamed in pain, she brought a foot over to kick him directly in the face, the man tumbling directly into a book shelf. 3 more tendrils sprouted from the wood floorboards, and began to trip up the multiple opponents, all the while Kiru took her time with each and every one of her foes. Making no effort to dispatch them one by one. That's when the Demon slayer heard Shade's familiar voice chime in. She turned over to see the girl and her large... "friend" watching her. She had a smile on her face as the demon slayer witnessed the destruction she had brought on the other cronies from the shop. Giving a simple nod, the tendrils all launched forward and grabbed Paulie by the leg. They dragged him towards her as he tiredly made one last attempt to grab his mace, but to no avail. The tendrils swung him past Kiru, and smashed him into a wall, they then proceeded to hold him there, several feet from the ground by his neck.
"Next time, don't try lying to someone who can sense the sweat coming from your brow..." Suddenly, the tendrils pulled him straight toward Kiru, who was now holding Paulie's mace. She simply stepped out of the way and held it out so his head smashed directly into the cold metal. He was knocked out cold. At this the rain began to stop and Kiru turned to Shade. Her black and white hair had been messed up a bit, but other then the dust on her intricate black and white uniform, she didn't seem phased at all.
"That took a lot longer then I would have liked it too.." She said simply, turning over to Shade and her summon to observe the pearl necklace.
