    Job Form:

    Sorano Granon
Sorano sighed, watching as the scenery rushed by from her vantage point in the train. This would be one of her first jobs as a B ranked mage, and she wanted to test out some of her new abilities. She had taken the first B ranked job she had seen, eager to try this job out, and had invited a guildmate along with her. See, overall, the letter mage wasn't the most social of people. Her main acquaintances in Fairy Tail were her teammates, with Heero, Rose, and Apollo. Everyone else was just some other aura she recognized, but didn't know. Mura fit into that category of some other face in the crowd, someone she didn't know too well.

From his appearance, the boy seemed to be one of the few mages near her mage in the guild, probably only a few years older. There was only one other person who was younger than her, but that's another point. Anyways, she had purchased train tickets for them both, for she had no idea whether Mura had any way to fly like Hoshi could. She wasn't going to take any guesses. She turned over to where her guildmate was seated and asked, "So, Kensho-san, what magic do you use?" she asked in her usual expressionless way.

"I realize we do not know each other too well, so I suppose it would be a good idea to get to know each other." She honestly wasn't sure where to go with this conversation, but she felt that probably the most reasonable person she knew(Gamon) would say something like this. "I use Solid Script magic, as well as Auric Reflection Magic if it helps you to know in any way."

Post by Mura Kensho 28th April 2016, 1:40 am

The gentle wind caused his hair to wave elegantly, as he looked around the train station. You see, he was on a new mission, just as always; but his circle of sociality increased today. He weren’t going out alone this time, but with a guild mate. Plus, this was one of his first B-ranked jobs that he’d taken, so he needed the company of a B-ranked wizard, which in this case was a girl named Sorano Granon. He didn’t know why, but it would be the first time for him to accompany a girl on a mission. Not that he had any particular problem with girls, but he was quite the shy one; he usually hid his shyness behind a wall of seriousness. However, being shy to a guild mate sounded ridiculous, so he would try his best to appear as usual as ever.

While his partner was purchasing tickets for the train to the told location, him and Kyuken talked a little. “No way…” Kyuken was teasing Mura’s shy feeling, “Are you being shy, master? Are you?” Mura sent an annoyed look up at his spirit companion, who seemed to enjoy Mura’s problems right now. “Come on, Kyuken…” Mura replied to him with a sigh, “I just need some time to learn her to know. It’s normal to be a little timid with new faces.” “You know, you don’t react like this when accompanying boys… don’t be like that; you’re supposed to be so confident,” Kyuken continued. Why was Kyuken trying to sound so lecturing? Like if he acted more proper to other women…

Sometime, the other mage moved over to him and directly asked about what kind of magic that he used; straightforward. She explained that it might be a good idea to learn more about Mura; well, they were both Fairy Tail mages accompanying in a mission, so it seemed obvious. She told that she used two different magics; Solid Script and Auric Reflection Magic. Mura only had little knowledge of both magics, but he’d never seen the magic in action before. It didn’t appear to be regular, elemental magics. “Hm… sounds cool.” He stood up of the bench and moved a little forward, facing her with a smile. "I'm sure that we'll know each other much better after this mission. Don't you think?" Kyuken would appear behind him, still sitting on the bench and spectating. “Alright. I mainly use Spirit Bind Magic. Basically, it’s a magic that utilizes spirits for various reasons.” He felt the need to explain his magic shortly, but precisely. His magic was unusual. “I also use Onmyōdō. It’s pretty much like this…” In order to explain such magic, he let himself turn the ground beneath them into metal, then into wooden floor, and then back to normal rock floor as it was earlier. It happened fast, but caused an astonishing atmosphere to appear. “I can change some natures a little. That’s mostly it.”

    Sorano Granon
As she waited for a reply from Mura, she let her eyes flit to the energy level that spirit warriors like her could see in. Here, bright auras were now visible surrounding anything living, resulting in a bright myriad of colors everywhere. However, as she had trained for a long time with this ability, she simply shoved the auras of all those tiny molecules and such to the back of her mind, focusing on Mura's aura instead. She could read that he seemed a little uncomfortable, perhaps a bit shy. Though this may seem like an intrusion of privacy for most people, someone emotionless as her would not believe there was anything at all wrong with reading one's feelings.

She watched as he responded, then stood up and moved towards her slightly. In response to his question, she said, "Yes... I suppose so." Noticing the appearance of a spirit she had seen just as a blob of energy before, she decided that it had to do with his magic. Listening to his brief explanation of his magics, she thought back to all the books she had read. Spirit Bind... Involving binding spirits to certain things, or to oneself. Huh, she supposed it was a rather difficult magic to handle. Though Mura might have thought his magic unusual, Sorano had read nearly every book in the guild library by now, as well as thousands, maybe even millions of tomes on magic throughout Earthland. She could probably recognize near any sort of magic named.

Onmyōdō, was the next magic he mentioned he used. She had heard of it, a magic that used balance between elements, or yin and yang to control. Her parents being of Midi descent, and living in the mountains most their life had a deep respect for nature and yin and yang. As a result, the letter mage had a heightened respect for the natural balance as well. She watched as the ground below transformed from wood to metal briefly, the small act causing a ripple through the emotional energy of the train. She noticed several passengers turning heads, unsure what had happened, but feeling the aura.

Sorano, as unsurprised and aloof as ever, merely placed a finger on her shield, causing the soothing calm that she was enshrouded with to permeate the train. Anyone or anything with emotion would feel Luna's effects, suddenly feeling calm and relaxed, and the passengers went back about their business. As if nothing had just happened, Sorano nodded slowly. "I see, then. Very interesting magic, types I have never encountered people using before. I've only ever read about Spirit Bind and heard about Onmyōdō from my parents. Hoshi uses nature-based magic as well, so perhaps she could relate." The letter mage coaxed the shy exceed out from behind her, Hoshi being the very definition of scaredy-cat.

Feeling now that it was necessary to also explain her magics now, Sorano paused, then began, "Solid Script is fairly common a magic, you may have heard of it before. To use it, I must write the word I want to form, and feel, really understand the true meaning of it to create something related to it in real life. As for Auric Reflection Magic, it's a self-made spin-off of normal mirror magic. As the abilities of the spirit warrior were passed through my family, the mirrors allow anyone to see a person's aura, their emotions." Here, Sorano held her hand out flat, palm up. A silvery disc appeared, the surface sharpening into a mirror. As Sorano would tilt her hand towards Mura, swirls of color around anything capable of feeling emotion would appear.

    (OOC: Don't say that, they're cewl ;) )

It appeared that Sorano wasn’t the one to get surprised easily, based on her reaction. She simply looked at him in a very calm way; probably a little calmer than Mura expected. Maybe she was more the cool and analytic one; her eyes did seem to analyse him a little. He could also sense the expression of hers; a very empty one. His ignorance of his own guild mates was surely feeling a little bigger than smaller now…

Listening to her response, he found out that she had some knowledge of the magics. She’d read about his Spirit Bind and heard about his Onmyōdō from her parents. She also stated that someone named Hoshi could use a similar magic to Onmyōdō, as she moved the exceed out in front of him. “Woah…” Mura spoke up, taking a close look on the exceed, “It might be true. Although, I’m not sure if it’s the same …” He laid a finger on the sweet exceed’s forehead, stroking it a little. “Hehe... It’s pretty cute, isn’t it, Kyuken?” The spirit samurai nodded while casting big, adoring eyes at the cat. “It sure is, master. Hey, little kitty…” he commented, beginning to stroke the cat himself; although, his finger went right through its head without any effect…

Mura still speculated about Sorano’s magic, when she decided to explain for him. Solid Script was a kind of object-making magic, where you write the name of something that you want to form; water, fishes, anything that you understand the true meaning of. Auric Reflection Magic, which sounded most distant for Mura, appeared to be some version of Mirror Magic. For him, it sounded like some very creative magic, despite that he didn’t know exactly how her primary use of it was. “Hm…” Mura began to think of the possibilities of such magic, just in case. They were about to go save their client’s daughter; it was very likely that they would have to encounter battles. She moved her hand towards Mura, revealing a fragment of her magic; a clear disc on her palm. When he took a look at it, colours appeared around him and Kyuken. “Hm? Is that your Auric Reflection?” Mura didn’t know the meaning of the colours, but due to the circumstances, he didn’t feel the need to ask about that. Besides, she might show more of that magic later...

“That’s some amazing magic, there,” he commented her with a calm smile. Solid Script and a version of Mirror Magic was a good combination. “By the way, is the train coming?” He moved his glance at the rails for a second; it showed no signs of an incoming train. “Huh… well, then.” The train might appear soon, so he decided to continue the conversation. “So, do you mostly go on jobs alone? Or do you have a team of sorts?” He began scratching his hair a little, while talking. “I’m mostly on my own, but I don’t dislike company…” Kyuken stabbed his back with eyes; the samurai was always with him, so Mura's statement didn't make much sense...

    Sorano Granon
Sorano watched as Hoshi hid her face awkwardly, looking as if she was afraid the world would end any second. Mura and Kyuken seemed like nice enough people, and she decided that she would simply have to trust them for now. Yes, it’s true. She didn’t trust her own guildmates, even though Fairy Tail was built on trust and family. You couldn’t exactly blame her, however. After all, someone who was literally emotionless didn’t really have an easy time with trust, love, et cetera. “No, Hoshi’s magic is rather different from yours, Kensho-san. She has a direct link to the entity of nature, popularly called “Mother Nature.” She can channel nature’s power directly through herself, though what comes out depends on “Mother Nature’s” mood.”

Hoshi cringed as Kyuken’s finger went right through her head. She got used to dealing with energy as Sorano’s auric abilities had much to do with it, but she was never very comfortable with it. As Mura commented on the mirror she had generated above her pal, she nodded. “Yes, this is Auric Reflection magic,” was all she said when he didn’t press her any further on specifics. She could tell from his aura he was unsure what the auras floating around on it were, but he never asked, so she didn’t feel the need to answer.

Just then, a whoosh of air blew past them, revealing a sleek, bullet train-like train. It was obviously made in Bellum from the sleek look and technological addends. “Ah… Here’s the train, then,” she said quietly, handing in their tickets to the conductor. She found their seats, and promptly sat down as the train began to start back up. Remembering Mura’s question, she replied, saying, “Yes, I used to work mainly by myself with Hoshi, as did the rest of my current team. Nowadays, I try going on jobs with mages from all sorts of legal guilds, and the occasional independent guild member.Mostly, my teammates are people I do jobs with now. Kinzoku, Akki, Seas, and now Chen-san are all members of the Fairy Tail team Flame of the Phoenix now. I do most my jobs with them.”

Listening to how he rarely did jobs with others besides probably Kyuken, she nodded slowly. “I would suggest that you try a few more jobs with mages from other guilds. You can understand what they’re based on that way, and know your potential allies in the future.” The train ride would be a short one, and so Sorano now turned to glance out the window, before pulling out a huge stack of complaints to the guild she was to read over and sort for Heero. The guild master hated papers, so he had her and Rose manage most of that.

Post by Mura Kensho 30th April 2016, 2:52 am

Mother Nature… something unknown for Mura. Surprisingly, he never heard of such thing, despite being an element-controlling mage. But listening to Sorano, he concluded that it was similar to Onmyōdō; a direct link to the forces of nature, where the cat can link its power through itself. It sounded like some kind of nature possession, and Mura knew all about possessions. It was a great part of his magic, after all. “I see… well, I’m eager to see Hoshi in action,” he replied, nuzzling Hoshi’s forehead again, “You sound like a skilled kitty. Impressive.”

The stroking ended with the train’s arrival. A pretty, high-tech vehicle braked before them; it revealed a smooth, elegant appearance. So that was the train that they were going to take, as Sorano stated that. He followed her to the conductor, and when she delivered their tickets, they found their seats in the middle of the train. Mura would throw himself down beside her and wield the sheathed Harusame between his legs, keeping it tight with his left arm. Kyuken soared around him as a bluish ball of aura, resembling light flames. Sorano replied his question about her ways of dealing with missions, stating that she used to work on her own, but was trying to expand her company with many other mages; not only from her own guild. She also told that she mostly did missions with her team called Flame of the Phoenix. “Woah, you have a team?” Mura spoke up in surprise, “That’s cool.” The thought of doing missions with such close friends did feel pleasant to him. She also advised him to do more missions with other mages; he could definitely learn a lot and create strong bonds for the future. “I’ve done a few missions with others as well… or, well, that’s not entirely true," he replied, scratching his hair again, "for now, I’ve only done it with our Guildmaster…” For some reason, speaking out this fact struck his chest like a spear. He never realized it. How lonely that he actually felt, deep inside of him...

His face turned a little mournful, as he looked down. Kyuken looked up at him; he felt a bit worried for Mura. However, this wasn’t the time to grieve about such thing; he could always save the thought for later. Now, his attention went to the sudden stack of papers taht Sorano pulled up. Kyuken would soar above the papers, finding out that it was all complaints to his guild. His face changed in an instant; a completely shocked “WHAT”-face appeared on him. “… Whaaat?” Kyuken spoke up, while trembling with his mouth wide-open, “So many… complaints.” Mura grinned a little, when hearing that. “It looks a little too tough for one to read through,” he commented, “Do you need any help with it?” He didn’t know if it was standard for her; if she didn't need his help, he would simply nod, put his headphones on and move his face towards the window, watching the lands that they crossed…

    Sorano Granon
Sorano's eyes were drawn to the sudden shift in Mura's aura, an inward frown forming. Those oddly dark shades of color... She'd seen them once before in a not-so-great situation with an old guild member. Bellaria had disappeared shortly afterwards, and now Sorano began to feel concern towards Mura as well. From his previous words, it would appear as if the boy was lonely. Could it be? But, how could one be lonely in one of the most social, close-knit guilds in Fiore? For now, the letter mage decided to stay silent about it, but keep one eye on her guildmate in case anything too emotionally insecure occurred.

From Kyuken's suddenly worried aura as well, she knew the spirit had felt the shift in Mura as well. She would nod ever so slightly at the spirit to show she would keep an eye on him, then turned back down to her papers. As Kyuken flew over, commenting open-mouthedly at the sight, Sorano sighed, resting her head in one hand. "We are the rowdiest guild in Fiore you know..." she sighed, staring at the top paper, one about a huge crater in the middle of a random field, damages to a clothing store, etc, etc.

Sorano shook her head, scribbling a note on one sheet. Each per seemed to only take her a few seconds to read, sort, and write a quick note. She was a letter mage, after all, and one of the best abilities was to speed read at an astonishing rate. As they neared their stop, she finished, gathering the papers up and placing them on top of a mirror, one that absorbed the stack then shrunk down to a manageable size.

The train stopped, and Sorano walked out, Hoshi flying close by. In the near distance, the Mystic Tower loomed in the fog that wreathed around them, showing how it got its name. As they neared the base, Sorano glanced back at Mura. "So, apparently the client's daughter came here, then never went back. We're supposed to find her, and bring her back. That's our objective. Searching and fighting will likely be most important, if you need to plan ahead."

She settled into a pattern of movement that was much more cautious now, as she neared the golden doorway that was the entrance.

His head was pretty much stuck in the window, watching over the lands. The grasses, soon to pass and become flat ground from the rock terrains that they crossed, made a rather calmer atmosphere around him. Come on; a Fairy Tail mage feeling solitary was supposedly contradictory. I wonder…, he began to think for himself, Maybe I’m just a little paranoid. It didn’t suit him much to be that, so he shook his head. At least, looking at his guild mates was enough to make the impaling feelings disappear, so maybe he wasn’t as lonely as he thought before. Meanwhile, Kyuken nodded back at Sorano; it turned out that she was concerned about Mura...

“That’s for sure,” he commented Sorano’s statement. Their guild was close to be the synonym of disaster. He remembered his journey to Midi with Heero back then; just as they arrived, a crater was immediately formed beneath their feet. A typical “hey, how's it going?” to their leader, who appeared to be used to it. Not to mention all those rooftops that were crisped down by magic; he could still hear the shocking yells and complaints from the villagers. Nonetheless was it a very funny adventure. “Hm…” He quickly took a close look at Sorano, while she sorted all those papers in an astonishing speed. He was quite surprised by her reading abilities; she merely looked, sorted and wrote at one paper in a couple seconds, before swiftly switching sheets. Even he wasn’t so fast at reading; he could admit that he was some kind of bookworm, but looking at Sorano made him feel distant from reading anything.

The train finally reached its destination. Mura walked out of the vehicle with Sorano and Hoshi, while Kyuken soared above his shoulder. He moved up his head a little and threw a look at the distance; he could clearly spot the Mystic Tower, despite it being surrounded by a thick, gloomy fog. As they headed towards the entrance, he was reminded of their mission; to bring the client’s daughter back. He gave a nod to her and looked at the giant doorway before them, but something odd was going on. Mura moved his head around, as he could clearly hear footsteps nearby. A radiant heat surrounded the spirit mage, as he grabbed the shaft of his katana and kept looking around.

Out from the bleak and dismal fog charged 15 strangers, each wearing weird monk clothes that resembled ascetic style. They seemed to surround them both, while activating their sunny magic. The heat increased by that, and Mura took a quick look at all of them, before turning around to face them. Some of them babbled about imprisoning the “infiltrators” and others jabbered about sacrificing them to the sun. It sent a chill down his spine; he wasn’t going to be sacrificed to anyone. “Hey, calm down for a second,” Mura spoke to them, while a little sweat drop trickled down, “We’re just here to…” He couldn’t finish his sentence, though, as one of the initiates charged towards him with a glowing fist, attempting to launch him away. The initiate appeared very cocky, and when he landed a deep hit on the ground, he thought that he actually hit Mura. However, the samurai mage was already prepared for him; his sword was pulled up before him, blocking the mage’s spell. "Fine, then..." he said, while following up by pushing the sun mage back and rapidly look around. “I don’t think that they’ll listen to me,” he spoke to Sorano, while preparing for the horde of sun mages to charge at them…

    Sorano Granon
Sorano stopped as she saw the auras of the monks approaching, a hand reaching to the side of her bag to grasp the loop there. On the ring, four sharp throwing knives had been attached, a replacement of the old feathered darts she used to use. Having trained a bit more with her teammates, her strength wasn't quite so weak anymore and the knives were manageable. One was quickly removed, and clutched tightly in her hand. She wasn't quite sure if these people were hostile or not...

As they appeared, Mura began to speak, but Sorano was skeptical about their chances of being diplomatic. These mages' auras were dedicated and dead-set on obeying something, and they were obviously hostile towards them. She was sure, that with a new ability to persuade people to bend to her will with words could sway them, but it left her tired, and the ability unusable for a day. Not a good idea. Mura quickly countered the blow aimed at him, and the battle began. A focused light settled into the letter mage's gaze, and the knife was hurled at the closest mage. As it struck him in the knee, causing him to crumple to the ground, her hands flashed through the air, wisps of letters appearing. "Solid Script: Fire!" she called out, the words lighting up in flames breaking into two halves according to how Sorano moved her hands.

The two walls of fire shot at the initiates, knocking the wounded one out and giving some of the others a good scorching. It was obvious the mages hadn't thought the group too intimidating a bunch due to their youth, but it would only work to Sorano's advantage. As the initiates quickly recovered from her attack, she had already ducked into their midst. The fire merely brushed her lightly, not at all affecting her, while she would jab the side of her hand into pressure points, a calm and controlled aura around her the whole time. Occasionally, a spot of sun might hit her ever so slightly, but she received no damage besides a few small scratches.

They all ganged up on the two mages. Mura had pulled up Harusame and prepared for any other attacks, when he spotted Sorano’s actions. So that’s how she fights…, he thought for a moment, before switching his attention to the trouble before himself, “Kyuken, you’re up!” The samurai spirit responded by soaring in front of him, while Mura lifted his hand up. “Spirit Bind!” he spoke up, and with a smooth movement, he grabbed Kyuken’s spirit and launched it into his chest. Light erupted from the center and caused some of the sun mages to step back. The bluish light faded away after a moment, revealing a manifestation of Kyuken in Mura.

“Come at me,” he prompted the sun monks. He definitely felt a lot of confidence, now that he was fused with Kyuken. The monks grinned at his attempt to challenge all of them, and charged towards him like a horde of wildebeests. They roared and their sun magic lit up the entire area, while they launched several flame balls at him. In an instant, he had time to react. Thanks to his refined senses and reflexes, he pulled up his blade and charged right at them with an intense speed. Moving Harusame in different, simultaneously directions, he managed to cut through the mass and deal swift damages to many of the sun mages around him. He moved just like Kyuken once did in his golde days as a legendary samurai; with swift slashes and mindblowing combos, Mura resembled the samurai in many ways. Some of them tried to gang up on him, but he responded by kicking them away and landing smooth blows on every one of them. Before he knew it, most of the initiates were scattered around him, slowly crawling back out of fear.

He charged back at Sorano, spotting the flames that she created around her. Some of the initiates of the sun had taken some beating from her. He would jump into the air and land behind her, pointing his back towards her in a typical co-op style, while lifting Harusame in a defensive stance. “This is beginning to waste our time,” he spoke to her, while throwing glances at the mages around them, “We need to find the daughter in a hurry. Who knows, she might be one of these guys…”

    Sorano Granon
Sorano quickly jabbed her elbow backwards into the stomach of a nearby mage, watching how Mura fought. Apparently, he had bound Kyuken's spirit to himself, granting him astonishing speed, senses, reflexes, and swordsmanship. It was a rather useful ability, obviously, as his fighting skill was suddenly amplified. The way he moved was almost like some vicious dance, swirling, slashing, kicking... A refreshing sight. Now, of course, Sorano couldn't let herself be out done, could she? She charged at the remaining three mages, causing them to bunch up in ad effort to stop her. Of course, she could never get past that wall without magic, which she was trying to save, so... She jumped straight up into the air, astounding the mages.

Hoshi immediately grasped the straps on the girl's shoulders, designed fur the very purpose, and soared over them at a slow enough speed for Sorano to send three of Kagayaku to hurtle down, pinning each one down in one foot. Hoshi then dropped her right behind Mura as they guarded each others' backs. "Hmm... Most seem either knocked out or unwilling to fight anymore, so I believe we can continue. However, you do have a good point in how one of these may be his daughter," she mused, pulling out the job form with her picture. After a moment of wondering what to do, she finally began to write again.

After a moment of writing out exactly what she wanted the spell to do, she let it go, fine mist raising the veils of each initiate, and the paper flying from face to face, comparing. Finally, it returned, and the mist surrounding the initiates faded. "No... She's not here," Sorano said quietly. "Let's go on then, I guess!"

He was trying his best to keep a look on all of them, as the sun monks stood there and hesitated in charging once more. They might have been too frightened by Mura and Sorano’s actions, which was in favour of those two. While the monks began to move away from the Fairy Tail mages, Mura took a glance upwards. The Mystic Tower appeared to have several floors, and they might house even more mages. He felt that it would be a pain to fight them all, despite how energetic that Mura was right now. He moved his head down and began thinking; how could he find a way up the tower’s floors in a hurry?

Sorano had dealt some final hits on the last of the opposing sun mages, and revealed her flight by the help of her exceed. When she landed behind him, he realized something; he could fly as well. Apparently, he’d forgotten it for a long time ago, probably since he returned from Midi, but watching Hoshi flying triggered his remembrance. That was when he had an idea. “Let’s check the top floor,” he spoke to his guild mate, “We might get some answers from the head of this cult.” He moved his face upwards, looking at the ceiling. “It’s most likely that he or she is on the top of this tower. Their leader must know about the client’s daughter…” he continued. His plan was to fly straight up the ceilings, which he would turn into passable liquid. He knew that Sorano could fly with the help of her exceed, so he began elevating himself up in the air, then charged straight up to the ceiling. “Just follow me, I’ll take care of the ceilings..!” he told her, and when he reached the first ceiling, it turned straight into a passable water lens that he and Sorano could fly through without problems. He would continue turning the ceiling areas in the line that they were taking into liquid, easing the flight upwards…

    Sorano Granon
Sorano listened to Mura’s plan, and then nodded. It seemed like a good idea. However, with a start, she realized that by flying, they would be getting closer to the sun. As these people specialized in sun magic, could they possibly be at a disadvantage this way? For now, she kept these thoughts to herself, jumping into the air so Hoshi could lift her skywards. She watched with curiosity as Mura liquefied the ceilings, making it easy for them to make their way through. So this as Onmyodo in action, huh… Sorano let her fingers drift through the magicked material, then watched as it shimmered back to normal. Now there was a useful magic.

Then, out of the corner of her eye, she caught a flash of aura. “Hoshi… Could you pause for a moment?” she asked carefully, slowly settling onto the stairs. She carefully looked around intently, straining her auric vision. And there it was again. That slightest flash of color, which gradually became more clear as it seemed to be making its way up the stairs. Voices drifted upwards, mild, normal conversation at first, then growing into someone angrier, enraged. “Hey, unholy magical energy has touched the sun’s holy resting place!” a voice gasped. Another one thundered out, “How dare they! I shall personally send the sun’s wrath down on whatever blasphemous fools cast magic in our holy place!” The footsteps grew faster and faster, as the letter mage’s yes widened. Knowing Mura and Kyuken could likely hear it as well, she took off after them, Hoshi flying the fastest she could towards the top. “Hurry, hurry!” Sorano hissed in a strained voice.

Post by Mura Kensho 4th May 2016, 3:19 am

Most of the mages, who were in the different floors, were comparable to the ones that Mura had just fought before. Therefore, they didn’t show any danger to him, except a few ones that shot some fireballs at him. However, he didn’t plan to spend time with them and charge upwards even faster, dodging the heating orbs meanwhile. As he kept flying upwards, Kyuken, who was fused within himself at the moment, commented: “I can feel someone’s presence… someone stronger than these guys.” Mura sparked for a moment, then spotted Sorano, who apparently wanted them both to hurry from something. “… Alright,” he replied and kept rematerializing the ceilings, making them passable for both him and Sorano, "We're getting closer... I think."

When they reached one of the last floors, radiant heat exploded in front of Mura, surprising him completely. An eruption of pure, sunny light almost blinded him, causing his skin to feel like melting lead. A yell came out of his mouth, as he soared down at the floor again. “Argh, what is that?!” he spoke up, covering his eyes with an arm in order to hold the gleams and shiny light back, “I can’t see anything, it’s too bright..!” He kept moving his head around, until the light faded away, leaving him with a temporary damaged vision. “Kyuken, I need your help,” he told his “other” soul, who responded by giving him the vision of the samurai himself; now, Mura could only watch from Kyuken’s eyes, which changed a lot. It felt weird to look from another person’s angle, and it would most likely affect his actions from now on.

“Sorano, are you there?” he asked out to her, feeling worried if she’d been affected by the sudden, radiant light. Kyuken let his vision move around Mura, giving him a view of the platform that they’re standing on right now. His “eyes” ended at the doorway to the stairs, where two figures stood. They both had desert-like cloaks on, covered with gold and silver garments. They appeared much stronger than the initiates from before, and with the dysfunctional, temporary sight, Mura would probably have a tough time with these guys…

    Sorano Granon
Hoshi sped on as fast as she could, spurred on by the impending danger. The exceed soared upwards, flying through the ceilings, wings straining against gravity. By now, with both her naturally stronger feline senses as well as Sorano’s aura sight, they could sense the sun mages breaking into a sprint, speeding up, up, up… Wait… They weren’t touching the ground? They seemed to have suddenly zoomed up, and before either girl could react, a sudden blinding flash flared over the room. Hoshi squeezed her eyes shut with a scream, and Sorano instinctively threw her arms up in a cross in front of her face. Hoshi dropped the letter mage on impulse, but Sorano managed to land safely enough.

Luna’s reflective surface blocked most of the light, bouncing it back towards the mage's, but Sorano still had to squeeze her eyes tightly shut to block the light out. Even then, as the light finally faded away, she still saw black spots floating around. She scowled in frustration, but she could see that she was better off than Mura and Hoshi. Mura's mind was all jumbled with confusion, and Hoshi's aura screamed in all shades of panic and worry and fear. Carefully, she laid two fingers on Luna, sending a calming wave of energy to her comrades. They would immediately feel calmer and more collected, which she hoped would help.

Then, as her eyes soon adjusted, she made out two figures draped in golden robes, radiating a fairly strong magical energy. Her eyes narrowed, and she whipped out one of Kagayaku, holding it like a dagger in reverse grip. "We do not come with the purpose to fight. We only wish to retrieve a certain young woman with this appearance," here she displayed the paper, "and we shall leave as soon as that happens." There wasn't too big a chance at peace, but she was definitely willing to try a diplomatic approach first.

Kyuken’s vision was still focused on these two figures that had appeared from the stairway. One of them grinned, while the other guy appeared cold as ice. They both seemed aware of Sorano’s diplomatic suggestion. While they looked at the paper, one of them said: “That’s the initiate, right? What do you kids want with her?” They both appeared brightly, surrounded by radiating magic power that resembled embodiments of the sun itself. Kyuken’s floating ball of bluish flames moved over to Sorano, spotting that she was affected by the light as well; although in a lesser magnitude than Mura and Hoshi. It appeared that she’d used her shield to reflect the light away, thus saving herself from such blindness. In the other hand, Mura couldn’t feel more uncomfortable with using Kyuken’s sight. “Remember what the Archmage commanded us, Irihimaru,” the other told the first sun wizard, “These guys have infiltrated our tower of worship; therefore, it's obvious that they shall be eradicated…” While the guys spoke to each other, Mura was trying to keep a hold on himself. This is irritating…, he thought, moving a hand up to his face. This very unfamiliar way of seeing was annoying, when his feelings and expression suddenly changed in an instant. It wasn’t himself, but something caused him to calm down a lot. Huh? What's this feeling…, he thought for himself, looking at his opened palm, I feel much calmer now.

Suddenly, by the help of Kyuken, he spotted that one of the mages didn’t want to wait for them and fired out a thin beam of light at him. Now that he wasn’t that worried and confused anymore, he could jump back from the beam that scattered the bricks on the wall and pretty much reached the other side of the world. Mura’s shirt had gotten a fine, red-hot hole in the side, but other than that, he wasn’t damaged. When the calm atmosphere settled, he raised his head once more, aiming a determined look at the two sun mages. Despite that his vision was blurred, Kyuken appeared before his head, providing with sight. “Master, something happened when Sorano pressed on her shield,” Kyuken informed him, “She must’ve done something.” “I see…” Mura replied, tilting his head towards her with a smile, “Thanks a lot. I feel much better now.” Now, before the mages could attack once more, he dashed forward in high speed, aiming his sword at the one who appeared to be called Irihimaru. "Hah! So you're up for a fight, huh!?" the young wizard responded, before jumping backwards, flying in the air like a fly. He was way faster than Mura, when it came to flying; but the shifting, radiant heat helped Mura to sense his position. In a moment, he appeared to be behind the young samurai, who swooped his katana at the mage’s shoulder.

It was grabbed; the sun wizard had managed to grab Harusame in mid-air by engulfing it in a thick cloak of lighting flames. Mura was about to land a kick on the wizard’s stomach, but when it connected, his foot lit up instantly. It surprised him and forced him to jump away from the sun mage, quickly turning the blazing fire into a cold bubble of water. “Phew, that was a close one…” he spoke up, “We should be extra aware of their fire magic, Kyuken.”

    Sorano Granon
Sorano scowled inwardly, seeing almost immediately from their auras that these mages weren't going to let them pass without a fight. She hated religious extremists like this, who depended on something like the sun, or some nonexistent demon and worshipped it. At least it was the sun, something they knew was there. Thanking nature for doing a good job of taking care of them was one thing, but this was way too extreme. Devoting their whole lives to the sun? If she hadn't been so emotionless and non-social, she might've said something to them along the lines of "Get a life."

As one moved to attack, Sorano sent her knife hurtling at the one who wasn't dealing with Mura at the moment. The blade moved with perfect aim, but the mage still managed to grasp the cold stone and iron blade, and Sorano watched in anger as it disintegrated in his grasp, sunlight flashing from his hand. Oh well, at least Kagayaku was magical, and the destroyed blade would appear in its ring soon. For now, she would have to focus on this guy.

As Mura flashed a quick thank you in her direction, Sorano nodded coldly. Luna would transmit her emotions to every person capable of feeling emotion in the area, including the enemies. It was a double-edged sword, but useful. Of course, she had no emotions, so it would always spread this aura of calm and control around her. After all, one had to choose to be emotionless, it couldn't be forced on them.

As the sun mage charged again, with astonishing speed, Sorano remained in place, her focus carefully directed on which moment to make her move. Just as the burning fist drew close to her, Sorano suddenly flattened herself to the ground, sliding underneath the mage and popping up on the other side, plunging a knife into the back of his knee. Though the knife disintegrated before it got too far in with a flash of fire, the mage still stopped to grab his leg in pain. This was how Sorano fought, using her small size, speed, focus, and knowledge to coordinate simple yet effective moves.

Now that she was at the advantage, she held an open palm up, a flash of light producing a mirror. The mirror grew until it was approximately mage-sized, then shattered in to ten pieces, all pointed at him. Light-based magic was often weak against mirrors, due to how easily mirrors could bend light waves. The shards flew at him, and though he tried charging with a glowing fist, there were too many shards, and he was pierced in multiple places.

Post by Mura Kensho 6th May 2016, 10:01 am

In the brief moment after the last clash, Mura took a look at Sorano’s techniques. His vision had turned a little better now, so he wasn’t in need of Kyuken’s eyes to see. The way that she fought and used magic expressed a very analytic and effective fighter. Of course, this was helping him getting a better knowledge of her; by studying her moves and outer expressions, which in this case appeared… as calm as anything could be. Most of the time, he hadn’t spotted any emotions from her, other than straight-out calm; at least for now, but it rather worried him a little. He didn’t know why, but it seemed unusual to him. However, as ignorant as Mura was about her, he decided to let the thoughts pass away.

The sun mage, whose name was Irihimaru, began to fly back in an incredible speed. Mura kept an eye on him, while thinking of a way to land a blow on a legit sun beam that appeared to fly as fast as light itself, while erupting with such light beams. While the sun worshipper flew, Mura discovered that he held himself in a limited range around the spirit mage. Maybe he wouldn’t exceed the range anymore, and that thought let Mura come up with an idea. He slowly unsheathed Harusame in the middle of Irihimaru’s movements, then proceeded to clap his hands together. The marks on his palms, the scattered Yin-Yang, unified within his clap as magic power surged out of it, forming a cloud above them all, including Sorano and her opponent. A moment passed, and the magic cloud let it rain with flat shards of pale, clear iron. The Irihimaru guy was quite surprised, but attempted to dodge all of the shards with his speed; unfortunately for him, Mura realized that the shards could reflect the light beams that were launched from the sun mage and throw it back at him. He got hit by one of the beams, and therefore distracted for a mere second, before the shards appeared to cut his clothes to shreds and leave destructive damage on him.

The spell didn’t leave any damage to Sorano, Hoshi and Mura himself, due to the fact that it was only aiming his enemies. The Irihimaru guy was pretty much distracted by the continuous cuts, so Mura looked over at Sorano’s opponent, who was also aimed at. The “rain drops” varied in many elements, first metallic shards, then into drops of glowing fire, then into razor-sharp water drops, then into splinters of wood and then into falling rock balls. It would keep raining on, with the purpose of distracting the mages that were around them. “Sorano..!” he spoke to her, “The top is only a few floors above us, so let’s continue!” He would charge upwards and proceed to turn the entire ceiling into cold water, so he could reach the top of the tower and meet the Archmage…

    Sorano Granon
Sorano had her own problems against the other sun mage, as he managed to get over the mirror shards; most of them melted from overheat, or stuck in the walls behind him. Now, he gathered himself for yet another attack, slamming his hands together, and pushing out a huge pulse of sunlight. Sorano scowled irritably, and then her hand flashed through the air, forming letters to guard against it. As an invisible dome rose over the girl and Hoshi, the rays of light hit it hard, a few even reflecting back at the mage. However, it had unfortunately destroyed the shield on impact, and now Sorano had to quickly prepare a counterattack.

With a quick twist, she hit the ground hard with one hand, yelling, "Activate!" This was a very common way of activating certain magical devices, such as bombs, or even a good way to cast a spell. Naturally, this being a fairly experienced mage, he knew what it meant and immediately somersaulted backwards, shielding his head protectively. That was all Sorano needed. As he covered his face, she leapt forward, moving so her blade barely nicked the skin of the mage's neck. "Now, may we continue?" she asked coldly, "I believe you were about to tell the location of this...initiate."

It was then that Mura yelled out that they should continue onwards, and the girl sighed softly. She lifted her free arm, the one with the shield, the used the edge to come down on his head. It wasn't enough for the mage to become completely knocked out, but he stumbled about dizzily when released. Satisfied, she moved upwards with Mura and Kyuken, Hoshi flying close behind. They shot through the stories again, quickly. "Keep an eye out... I don't believe that that will be the last we see of them," Sorano warned.

Post by Mura Kensho 7th May 2016, 4:43 am

“Me too. Kyuken, try and watch out for us, would you?” Mura replied. The two mages that they just fought might wanted revenge when they recovered from their damages. It would be annoying to let them appear, if the two fairies had just completed their mission by finding the missing daughter; in worst cases, it would turn out terrible. “What about your eyes, master? Don't you need mine?” Kyuken spoke back to him, still worried about Mura’s sight. However, while fighting the Irihimaru guy, Mura had adapted his eyes to the intense brightness around them. Besides, he wouldn’t fall into the same trap twice, so he felt confident now. “I’ll be fine. Just keep an eye on the entrances, and make sure that we find out who arrives,” Mura calmly replied to him.

When they all reached the top floor, the heat was almost doubled. It felt like that they were only a few meters away from the sun, which shone down at them like a laser beam. The radiance was unbelievable, but Mura wouldn’t let himself panic anymore. Now, he moved his eyes around the place, which filled a lot of space, compared to the other floors that they’ve been in. His eyes ended at the giant throne in the middle of the room, surrounded by two persons, each wearing novice robes of the sun monks. One of their faces appeared very familiar at first sight, but it wasn’t clear to see it due to the light that engulfed everybody. “Huh… you must be the top head of all this,” Mura said to the sitting guy, who wore the most insane robes that Mura had ever seen, along with a golden crown that shone like a nimbus. Mura moved a hand into his pocket, then pulled out a piece of paper with a picture of the daughter that they were supposed to bring back. He held it in front of the Archmage, hoping that he would recognize her. “Where is she?” he coldly asked him. One of the guardians gasped when spotting the picture, which caught Mura’s attention. Her face was covered by a dark cloak, but when she lifted it, she revealed herself as the daughter of their client. Same face and look, although she was wearing something unusual on her forehead; some kind of amber stone was stuck on her head. Besides that, she suited the picture 100%. “So you’re the one,” he spoke to her, leaving his attention to the quiet Archmage, “Your dad is worried about you, so he sent us to bring you back.” He extended a hand towards the daughter, prompting her to leave this place with them. However, as time passed, she appeared not to react at all.

Light engulfed Mura in a sudden. He didn’t realize it, until he found himself devoured by sunny fire. The Archmage had lifted up a hand and decided not to let one of his underlings leave their tower. “She’s one of us, infidel,” the Archmage furiously told the troubled Mura, “How dare you pagans try and coax her into disbelief!?” In a brief second, the light that had covered Mura exploded, leaving a scorch mark in a vast area around him. The floor itself broke down beneath the spot, and the light had intensified at the area of impact.

The Archmage was confident and convinced that he’d destroyed one of the infidels, when his eyes suddenly opened up widely. From the ashes of the exploding sun magic stood Mura, seemingly unharmed and unaffected, except by his shirt being completely gone and exposing his torso, which was covered by small bruises and burn marks. The remaining flames appeared to soar right through his body, which was now purely ethereal; he’d turned himself into a soul, just like Kyuken, in order to avoid the sudden explosion. He lifted his eyes towards the Archmage, saying: “Infidel, huh? And you thought that killing me would help..?” A dark aura leaked out of his wounds, soon to cover his entire body. He didn’t do it on purpose, and wasn’t even aware of it, but something triggered the darkness that resided deep inside of him…

    Sorano Granon
As the mage's flew upwards, away from the temporarily confused sun mages towards even more powerful sun mages, the heat grew more and more intense. As they neared the top floor which they were aiming for, Sorano was wishing she had a good ice spell on hand. However, she knew that all she could afford to make right now we're a few ice cubes, having to save her major energy for probable battle. She doubted these people would give up an initiate easily. As they burst up through the floor of the last floor, the two were faced with piercing heat, light, and a man sitting on a throne-like chair and wearing what looked to be terribly expensive robes and a crown.

As Mura held out the job form, speaking with the archmage, Sorano's eyes scanned the room carefully. Suddenly, as Mura finished, she saw a sudden flash of color in one initiate as she slowly looked up. However, from Mura's efforts, it was obvious that the girl wasn't about to leave anytime soon. Sorano scowled inwardly, but soon thought of a solution to get the giry to come along peacefully. As a master if words, she could convince the girl to return to her family, building up memories, illusions, and truths up with carefully chosen words, in which she placed their full weight in. The girl would have to listen. "Kensho-san..." she said softly, already gripping a knife in one hand. She was about to explain her idea when suddenly, the mage was engulfed in sunfire.

The girl stood emotionless, able to see Mura's aura still glowing vibrantly, getting angrier as the fire raged. The archmage slowly levitated into the air, showing off the golden sunlight all around him. All Sorano was thinking was how gaudy the whole getup looked. In other words, she thought he looked stupid. However, she couldn't deny the power that he held and how difficult an opponent the man would be. Mura revealed himself again, shirt burnt off, but otherwise not too badly hurt. However, she could sense that the energy building him had changed; it was a spirit that stood before her. A dark aura began to seep out of his wounds, engulfing him. She remembered a similar scene she had seen before, a white-haired boy, eyes beginning to grow a crazy, insane red. Darkness oozing out around him, and a slow, sadistic smirk crawling up his face. She would have to keep an eye on Mura to ensure nothing took over his emotions.

Quickly, she scribbled through the air. "Solid Script: Water!" As watery bullets rained down hard on the archmage, following him around, Sorano hurled one of Kagayaku in his direction. He dodged it easily, though it just barely grazed his skin. That was enough. Now, the letter mage would always know his location, helping her notice potential patterns in his movement. He always feinted towards his left side... She moved right the second he did. A strong jab of the shield into the knee, and she barely got out of the way of a burst of sunlight. Even so, she now had scorch marks on her clothes and skin. However, now that she had set his knee tingling and unstable, he should move slower.

Post by Mura Kensho 8th May 2016, 4:29 am

Mura moved his eyes around the floor. Everything has changed; the atmosphere, the usually radiant light that annoyed him earlier had disappeared from his sight, although it was still present. However, the way he was now, his eyes’ view were darkened; the same effect as if wearing sunglasses. Despite the darkness around him, he felt that he could clearly see things, especially the mana-packed Archmage. Mura looked down at his palm, wondering about all this. “This is…” he softly spoke up, “… the same as when I fought Victor.“ Not only Mura was affected, but the samurai spirit inside of him had grasped a sip of Pluto’s power. In result, Kyuken floated around emotionless and without speaking a word, just like back then. It didn’t concern Mura, though, as he was clearly different from before.

Sorano had charged against the Archmage meanwhile, and Mura decided to prepare for back-up. With a swift move, he grabbed Kyuken’s darkened soul and launched it into Harusame. “Spirit Bind,” he spoke up calmer than usual, “Control.” The katana that he used as medium this time was boosted by the power of Kyuken’s spirit, resulting in shadows engulfing it and surrounding the very tip of the blade. A sinister aura erupted from the sword, causing the two initiates to shake a little, as they’ve never felt such mana before. One of them even moved back a little, despite being far away from Mura already. He soared slowly towards the two mages fighting each other, as his eyes were completely dark-purple and his pupils white. A sun beam was launched towards Sorano at the moment, which riled him at most now. Just as the Archmage was recovering from using the previous spell, Mura lifted up his blade. “Kyuken-Style,” he coldly said, rapidly swinging Harusame before the worshipper of the sun. The Archmage jumped backwards in order to dodge the blade, which he thought as Mura’s intended attack. However, he was wrong; just as he braked a few meters away from Mura, a completely black gust caught him and shattered his seemingly expensive clothes. “Vacuum Buddha Slash,” Mura continued speaking. It did hit him, but somehow, the gust didn’t appear to do any harm to the Archmage, whow as at this moment surrounded by sunny flames. He’d used it for defense, and it appeared very effective against the gust, which was engulfed in darkness. However, it didn’t save his jewel-packed cloak. “You filthy pagan dare to destroy the sun’s prophet?!” he yelled in anger, suddenly causing his body to light up brightly. He pointed a finger towards both Mura and Sorano, while shouting: “I shall send you back to where you belong… in your graves! Let's see if the sun will have mercy upon you, or if it'll decide to destroy you!”

Before the Archmage could finish his sentence, Mura was charging up with another move. In a brief moment, so that the Archmage couldn’t get to use any spells, Mura swung Harusame in an astonishing speed before him. Light appeared at the trails of the katana’s blade; that would’ve confirmed that he was about to use Halo Blade, but this time, the light faded in brightness and ended as a pitch-black scale, aimed at the Archmage. “Pluto-Style,” Mura spoke up louder and angrier than before, “Hell’s Halo Blade!” The scales of shadows cracked, only to shatter in multiple sword slashes that charged at the Archmage, simultaneously hitting him in every angle. The remains of his precious cloak were devastated, wrecked, and left the Archmage with cuts everywhere on him. Mura would coldly spectate the trouble of this bastard, who slowly stood up once more, and with an even angrier look than before… but also with a branch of fear…

    Sorano Granon
As Sorano quickly recovered from the small hit, she shot back up, writing the words for another spell. This, she knew would heal her allies, as well as deal damage to her opponents. Solid Script: Dark would work as well, but there was a possibility that this light-based mage would be less vulnerable to a dark spell. The darker spell's twin would have to do. "Solid Script: Light!" she yelled, hands flashing before her. Suddenly, a softly glowing magical seal formed above her head, then exploded outwards into a dome of soft light. It wasn't quite as bright as the sun mages', but beautiful in its own way. After all, this was Sorano's definition of light, used as a spell. The light would heal those inside it who Sorano wished for it to heal, and hurt those whom she wished to hurt. Perfect for such a small area.

Then, as she had to stay in the center of the dome to keep it up, she quickly spawned a mirror, causing it to turn the exact size of the archmage. Using simple motions of her hand, she caused the mirror to move to the front of the archmage, broadcasting his greatest fears and nightmares at him, using the patterns within his aura. As his eyes widened in fear and horror, she knew it would provide a good opportunity for her allies.

However, speaking of allies, she began to worry about Mura's current state. It obviously boosted his power, and that was certainly powerful, but his emotional state as well as Kyuken's had changes drastically. Again, the memory of the white-haired boy appeared, shifting from an awkward, clumsy mage into a berserker. It was quite similar, though their shift was much less serious. Kyuken's aura had blanked, growing similar what Sorano saw whenever she looked in a mirror. Mura's had grown colder as well, anger growing. Well, it didn't seem to be hampering him or harming him, so she supposed he would be fine.

Meanwhile, Hoshi was preparing to fight as well, a golden aura bursting around her. A powerful presence echoed throughout, and for a second, nature flourished, taking up everyone's attention. Then, orbs of water appeared besides each of her paws and her tail, suspended in the air. With a yell, the exceed launched herself at the surprised archmage, for who could expect such a tiny little creature to use such powerful magic? Powerful surges of water roared at him as she slashed her paws forward, and he barely managed to block it with sunlight. Hoshi would slash at him constantly, forcing him to keep his guard up, which was difficult with the light, Mura's attacks, and the nightmare mirror before him. Sorano could tell that he would break unless he didn't bust out a big move soon.
