The dragon colided with Black Sun. Liquid metal, or metals, as the hull had taken majority of the blow. It was do or die now. And Ardere seemed to notice too, as he warrned El and Rowan, to either hold on tight...or jump.

El froze for a milisecond or so. Milliard of thoughts passing by inside his brain. Possibilities. What could he do? In just a mere milisecond, with Lucifer's help, El had analysed every possible course of action he could think of. Jump and die. Jump and survive. Then run. Or attack. Or don't even jump at all. Stay here...And die. Or attack from here.

El didn't think that any particullar option was better than the rest. In fact there was not even one moderately good option he could choose. But since he had come here to face off against a dragon, he thought he might just as well attack it. Even though this could be a suicide mission.

Having decided what to do, El took a hell of a deep breath and jumped. But not before motioning to Lyra to do the same. "Lyra, stay close. As both were falling, Ard was trying to...pierce the dragon's scales? At first it didn't seem to be effective, but he was engulfed in black flames and so was his sword. In the end Ardere had a plan. Jackal on the other side did not.

A hundred meters till we die. Need to think of something. While El was trying to think of a way to save both himself and his childhood friend, gravity continued to pull these two towards the ground. Eighty meters till they die. Seventy. Sixty. El's face was starting to sweat. Fifty. Fourty. Thirty.

"THAT'S IT! DAMNIT! IT IS SO OBVIOUS!"

Lyra's confused face showed a sign of understanding as azure flames engulfed both of their legs. El was using his azure flames to propell them both in the sky. It was tricky, but it was better than falling to their deaths. Far better. However this, manuver of sorts, requires El's undivided concentration. Making his flames grab their feet and throw them around in the sky, in a controled way, making it seem like they were walking on the clouds was not something that could be achieved if Jackal didn't give it his all.

As they approached the dragon, El and Lyra split up. El knowing that his friend could manage on her own started forcusing on his course of action more. Now that he had to only carry himself across the clouds, he had the mental capability of attacking the dragon. Though he could not use complicated attacks. That's why he decided to go for the trickster course.

El increased his pace, almost skating through the skies, as he closed in on the dragon. Narrowly avoiding the dragon's thrasing. Jackal took advantage of Ardere's assault to the dragon to, rapidly, move and land in the area between the dragon's eyes. He knew that this wasn't a one hit kill move, nor a move that would surely not miss. However this was all he could right now do. As he landed on top of the dragon's head, the azure flames on his legs vanished. Flames, in the colors of Lucifer's, appeared on his palms.

"Playtime is over little dragon. Now, go to sleep...you won't see me again."

Jackal knew the dragon was listening, but that was not of his concern. The flames from his hands started moving, as if they were vortexes, towards the dragon's eyes. El mentally crossed his fingers, hoping his plan would work...cause if it did not...he was pretty much screwed.

Rowan knew there was something just a tad off when the ship suddenly lurched sideways, throwing everyone on board a bit off balance. The initial bash and blast of molten metal had taken a toll on the ship, and that spurred the Hydras into action. If there was any hesitation in either Ardere or El before, it was definitely gone now, and within the span of a few seconds, Rowan’s guild master and guild mate were off of the ship. Unlike the rest of the Hydra trio, the plasma mage had absolutely no intention of committing such a suicidal act. That was until, he saw the dragon preparing for yet another blast of molten steel. With fear nipping at his heels, Rowan quickly swung himself over the edge of the ship, on the side opposite to the dragon. Ardere and El might have been crazy enough to take the dragon on, but the plasma mage was a bit more practical than that. Of course, throwing yourself off of a ship wasn’t very practical, and Rowan quickly realized this fact as he found himself plummeting at a dangerously high speed towards the ground. He was still incredibly far up, so it would be quite a bit of time before he splattered on the ground, but no matter how long the fall, he had no way to get out of this situation by himself. Once the initial shock was gone, Rowan immediately began to flail about and scream in abject terror. Of course, the sounds of his yelling were immediately ripped away by the rushing winds, and his mind raced for any possible solutions.

Cataclysm. This was a state of chaos and Lynn realised that a tad later than she should have. Everyone was beginning to fulfill their given tasks while she stood stiffly at the entrance of the guildhall, her brothers and sisters flooding out of the establishment, past her. The dragon had collided with Ardere’s ship, and was spewing liquid metal all over the town below. A cacophony of deafening alarm bells went off in her head. This was no time to be imagining the end of the world. If she didn’t want the people she love to be dead tomorrow, she would have to at least try and stop the dragon. She had never killed a dragon before, nor had she seen one for that matter. But now she has, and it was a nightmare.

Zlatan!” she called, her voice booming with rage, a nerve popping on her left temple as she removed the top layer of her outfit, so she was only in her black bra. She was an ice dragon slayer who strongly preferred sub zero temperatures and it was getting a bit heated with all the commotion. Her guardian and pet arrived in no time, crouching so his mistress could mount him. Lynn grunted as she hoisted herself onto the back of the beast and pulled onto its majestic mane as he stretched out his ailerons and they soared into the sky, Lynn giving the guild a worried look before she averted her gaze to everyone’s target: the dragon. She wasn’t strong enough to fight it, but she could at least save more people of Ace of Spades from dying by each of the dragon’s breath. One of her guildmates was using some sort of flashy magic that didn’t affect the dragon in any way. Then, Ardere decided to jump on it, which must have been a pretty stupid idea but Lynn was sure he had a plan and this was the extremely dangerous and risky part of it. She was just worried for him. They were still a great distance from the monster so she decided to steal a glance at the guild and was shocked to witness the Sabertooth guildhall tilt for the first time, as though the pandemonium caused by the dragon’s presence had somehow created a gravitational disturbance, throwing off the guild’s balance midair, as if it was going to descend to the town below. “No…” she said in a hushed tone, now turning back the opposite direction. The moment the guildhall falls is the moment she loses her home, her warm shelter of refuge. Thick brows furrowed as she imagined herself on the streets, having nobody to call her ‘family’ and most importantly nowhere to come back to after a tiring job or travel. The Sabertooth tattoo on her tongue will have no meaning after all.

    No.

This was not the end. The gloomy thoughts that collected in the back of her mind were pushed away by hope. Losing the guildhall wasn’t the end for them. Bricks and beams didn’t make a home; love and dreams did. And Sabertooth is a huge family, brothers and sisters of various origins gathered, full of affection and passion, all working towards their aspirations. Home was where her family was and that’s where she’d be returning after this metallic rainstorm had passed. Lynn had reached about a mile’s distance from where the dragon and Ardere’s ship were. She knew it was dangerous, and that was why she was getting closer. The first thing she needed to do was bring the dragon to their guild so that the evacuation of the townspeople would go smoother, which she noticed one of her guildmates was already leading. Magical cards created by Ryo - a powerful wizard in the guild that Lynn recognized - rained down on the ground now and there was no one on the Black Sun, or so she thought. A boy with dark hair had jumped right off the ship, in the wrong direction, unless he was trying to flee. The ice wizard watched for a moment until she noticed he was literally falling, quite possibly to his death! Since her mind was linked with Zlatan, the winged lion understood immediately and changed his direction to the person plunging to his end, flying at incredibly high speeds in the hopes of saving his life. It was seconds away from the moment his body would make a human shaped hole in the earth when Zlatan would stop right under him so he would fall on his back behind Lynn. Hopefully he didn’t do anything stupid in the air, otherwise there would have been no saving and the boy would probably died. If he did land on Zlatan’s back, the following would continue to occur.

Hold on tight, this is going to be a rough ride,” Lynn informed the person behind her before patting Zlatan so he could take off. The lion zoomed into the air once again, this time not letting anything hinder its goal. He activated his bubble of protection in case anything were to be hurled their way as they got closer to the dragon.

The destruction brought on the town by the dragon was extensive, never had he seen such destruction caused by a single being with such ease. The demon slayer knew that if it has wanted to it could wipe out the whole town with no effort, ”The bastard is playing with us.“ he said to himself right before he got his orders from Fred. He was to hop aboard his ship and attempt to make contact with Ardere and try to collaborate an effort to bring down the beast. Kite nodded in response ”On it!“ he said as he made a beeline for the docking platform where the Tailspin was parked. As he approached he could hear the sound of the engine’s turbines flared up as well as the buzz of the tail engine. He ran up the boarding ramp and into the center of the cargo hold and instantly jumped igniting his feet and rocketing to the upper level of the bay and maneuver himself into the upper part of the  catwalk and climbed the steps up onto the foredeck and into the cockpit where the pilot was already closing up the ramp and finished with take off preparations. “What's the plan captain?” Kite stood at the top of the stairs and looked out the windshield at the front of the ship ”We need to hail the Infinity Hydra ship and work with them to take down that behemoth.“ he said and took the radio from the console overhead ”Infinity Hydra, can do you read?“ he would ask as the ship hovered off the ground and flew through the sky out and then around the front of the Guild hall. By this point he should have heard back from the Infinity Hydra air ship and so he clutched the receiver and pressed the button to open communications ”Hey Hydra do you…...read?“ he began to say in the radio but trailed off when the ship allowed him to take in the view that was playing before them. The Dragon had taken out the ship by blasting it with one of it’s mighty breath attacks from it’s perch atop the Sabertooth Guild Hall’s roof. Kite gritted his teeth at the sight of his friend’s ship being torn through, the anger that was welling up inside him. His mind left the current field of battle and traveled to another moment in time and another place. His mind traveled to a time prior to this disaster, back when he and Fred had discovered the remains of Hika’s ship, the wreckage that was left behind with no signs of life. He pictured the look on her face as well as Pein’s during the attack which fueled him even more to the point where he turned on his heels. His concentration was broken when Wash pointed out that the members that were on the ship seemed to have all evacuated, Ard was engaging the dragon as well as another one of his mages using blue colored flames while the third member was laying across the back of Lynn’s pet who was flying to battle. Kite tuned on his heel and slid down the stairs to the foredeck. ”Wash plan B, charge the Yammato.“ He said walking towards the end of the foredeck and to the ladder in between the Foredeck and the catwalk that leads up to the top of the ship. “Charge the Yammato you really wanna fight that thing? That’s suicide!” Kite would freeze in place ”It’s only suicide if we die and if you are as good as you claim you were when I hired you then we shouldn’t have any problem Right? Open up the ramp, too. We need to give anyone who needs it a ride.“ and with that he was on his way up to the ship’s roof and he lowered his gravity as the ship would soar.

Wash would bring the ship around with the Yammato cannons sticking out right above the boarding ramp but below where the cockpit was located and were red hot by the time they were facing the dragon. ”Don’t fire until we are as close as we can get. We don’t wanna give it time to move and risk hitting the guild.“ he would say over the radio to Wash who just remained quiet over the speaker but had no problem saying something to himself. “We will get close… Not sure we can get away.” as he continued the course despite wanting to throw in his resignation. Meanwhile Kite began to gather his flames into his right hand, white flames streaming behind him as the ship continued moving forward. His eyes were fierce, flooded with a need to quell this anger and killing the dragon would be a good start. ”Flame Demon’s...Desolation Fist!“ he would yell as he threw his fist forward launching a giant fist made from his white demon slayer flames which smacked would smack into the dragon if it decided not to move. At the same time Wash would fire the Yammato at the dragon trailing right above Kite’s attack incase the dragon decided to attempt to fly away.

    Lord Frederik wrote:

'Orders... orders! yes off course!!' he replied, a bit late but finally caught up to everyone and what they were trying to say. 'Alright Kiersa, take the young ones and a couple of others and start evacuating the town below. Away from here, away from the Ace of Spades. Call in other guilds if possible!.'

The blonde nun nodded at Fred's orders, looking out towards the conflict already forming around the metallic fire dragon. Getting the populace away from the guild did seem to make sense, although the Paragon felt that getting them into the Guild Hall itself would have been safer, since it had magical shieldings and a robust set of defences in case of an emergency. Whilst the surrounding area held no such defences to take advantage of, and with a dragon attacking?

But Kiersa had her orders from the currently standing Guild Master, and there wasn't any time to debate or argue them. She immediately set into action, wings of light forming from her back as she took off and flew through the Guild, since the Transport Lacrima would probably be in high usage right now. "You, you and you," she said selecting three random mages as she travelled down the hallways, "get to work evacuating the town below us to the surrounding region. If any of you have access to a communications Lacrima or long range telepathic magic, let any and all mages on jobs in the area about the situation and spread the word." the blonde nun ordered, looking towards the battle raging around the titanic beast.

"We're going to need all the help we can get." said Kiersa before she set off for the distant ground, aiming for the town's center. As soon as she arrived, she set off a pulse of her holy magic in an attempt to garner everyone's attention amongst the citizens. "Everyone, listen up! We're going to get you all out of here to safety!" she shouted, trying to make herself heard as far as she could.

"Gather what you can, essentials only, and follow the nearest mage to the outskirts and beyond. We'll do what we can to keep you safe from this-" she said before she was interrupted by a scream. Some debris from an explosion was falling down towards the gathered citizens, and so Kiersa flew straight towards it before spreading her arms wide and creating a massive barrier of Holy magic.

She winced under the strain, her body slowly bleeding from the use of her Stigmata magic. "G-Get m-moving!" she yelled out to the citizens who all immediately started to get a move on, fleeing for their homes, those that still stood that was, and starting to make their way out of the town.

Post by RockyTheRockiestRock 5th June 2016, 4:12 am

Minh wasted no time upon hearing his orders and went with the course of action that was to basically launch the dragon slayer before him straight into the midst of the massive dragon that was making its pass by the guild hall. There was no effort made to cover up its daunting presence, so it was easy to decipher that its size was much like what Minh would see in a dragon from his studies into the various powerhouses within the realm of mystical legends. He was doubtful that anyone could do much on their own, but as a guild together, they were more than enough to take down this crazed beast. He rose an arm up and let out a call to everyone near him.

"Those willing to take flight with Ibara, follow me!"

Of course, not everyone did as some had their own forms of transportation, and others were probably best supporting an evacuation than trying to stand toe-to-toe with a dragon. Those who did rally by Minh followed him as he surged up to Ibara to pick him up like a giant javelin, and then the rocky male proceed to burst through a section of the wall in the general direction of the dragon followed by a small horde of willing human projectiles looking to be literally thrown into the fray. Within seconds, he had jogged right up to the edge to spot the beast taking its fight up against an airship, presumably allied. Not wasting more time, he took a throwing stance before chucking Ibara in an arc that would put him in a descent straight onto the dragon. Amusingly enough, Minh soon proceeded to throw many more willing guild members up into similar arcs to literally rain men down upon the dragon.

After each willing participant was thrown, Minh took off after them with a herculean leap, and his air-time was greatly increased thanks to the assistance of a small, yellow birdie that lifted him up by his head with its little talons. Minh hoped that the dragon was going to keep its position and if things went well in their way, forced onto the ground where he would be much more comfortable fighting rather than hanging onto a bloody, scaled titan to strike it.

    a dragon's tale: unexalted fear
    RISE
"With fire in our bellies and the sun in our soul!"
Ibara stood next to Minh, their contrasting heights evident, and would even be the subject of laughter if Sabertooth weren't locked in with such a conflicting situation. The young dragon could only gawk and marvel at the plethora of Sabertooth and Infinity Hydra wizards a like whom took it upon themselves to jump on top of the dragon in a similar manner that hopefully the fiery dragon slayer too would perform. He glanced back at Minh who seemed to be occupied in the same action; also having eyes locked on the situation, regarding everything around him. He hoped that this would help in making his aim true. One slight mishap in the way he threw his rather small compatriot (compared to him that is) could quite well lead to his death and the young dragon most certainly did not want to die. Not just yet anyway to leave the Guild in danger was an impossibility in Ibara's mind.

The young dragon was about to speak up again before he felt a heavy arm reach around his body and pick him up as if he were nothing but a feather. This overwhelming feeling of strength that hung around his core proved to be none other than Minh's beefy, rocky arm carrying Ibara in a similar fashion to one would carry a sports bag and he seemed to be doing a pretty good job of it. Considering the texture of Minh's skin, Ibara saw no harm in igniting himself now, he'd find a trickier job of doing it in mid-air, especially with a daunting-looking dragon approaching him at an extremely fast pace; the notion was almost certainly throw him off his original intentions.

His body initially began to lick with flames, only small coats at first and fire expelled with occasional breaths from his nose while his eyes flickered with a passionate roar. Soon enough, the entirety of his body ignited at once, turning him into an orange spark which contrasted into the darkening hue of Minh's skin. It threatened to set him a light but the rocky texture of his surface remained true to it's original appearance and he seemed undaunted; unaffected.

On and on they went, seemingly circling around the dragon until Minh found a suitable vantage point. For some reason, he had asked the other Sabertooth members that were unoccupied at the time to tag along for reasons unbeknownst to Ibara while he remained slung underneath the rock man's arm like a sports bag. Before he knew it though, he was sailing through the air, and the flames themselves began augmenting within his body before expelling out of his back like a jet-propelled flamethrower, ever-increasing his speed as he sailed directly towards the Dragon's mouth. He heard a voice from behind him; Minh.

"Those willing to take flight with Ibara, follow me!"

Ibara was shocked that other Sabertooth mages were confident in joining him with his suicidal expedition through the air but he was grateful as he found a surge of reassurance to see them flying almost next to him but they seemed unable to catch up, their speed wasn't great enough and it made them much easier targets in the air. The young dragon worried for their safety and despite being in the pinnacle of danger himself, he had to help them somehow. He had to augment their power in a similar manner to his own.

"I really hope I can get away with this.."

As the fiery dragon slayer said such a thing, he spread his arms out from beside him as if they were wings. Spheres of magical, heated energy channeled into his palms and suddenly the balls exploded like lassos, reaching out towards the several other members of Sabertooth that were launched into the air with him. As if they were wires that connected Ibara to the rest of the mages, they too felt themselves augmented with the young dragon's own power; turning into fiery bullets of dragon fire themselves, surging forwards alongside their red-headed compatriot. Soon the majority of Sabertooth had turned into dragonflame bullets and had only one destination; the dragon's defeat.

"We stand together.. we won't lose!"

Ibara yelled at the top of his voice.

    "Fire Dragon's Inferno Wings!"

As if his body had enough augmentation already, two draconian inferno-esque wings conjoined at his back and suddenly propelled him forwards at double the speed of the rest of his companions. His whole body became one singular supernova amongst a darkening Ace of Spades which was clouded with smoke in the wake of the dragon's destruction. For some reason, he headed directly for it's mouth, going at a tremendous speed, faster than humanly possible. What was it that he intended?

As Ibara's body neared it's destination, Frederick could be seen from the sidelines, his hands moved as if he were to perform a magical performance of his own in a similar manner to Ibara. That he did. Clearly the Guildmaster's orders weren't considered enough for his own contributions as his whole body exploded with a dark energy and propelled itself towards the ball of light that sailed towards the dragon's mouth. The dark energy surrounded Ibara like a ball, mixing and channeling with his searing hot flames and together, the two conjoined to form this mass of overwhelming power, a darkening sensation of black flames.

Now a black bullet amongst a fiery sea of red counterparts, Ibara's eyes glowed with their charateristic red and yellow while his heart blazed with passion. He would aid in the effort to save Sabertooth and although his plan seemed absolutely suicidal, he had to believe in himself. It had to work.

A Guild at War - Page 2 Empty Re: A Guild at War

Post by Godlike Frederik 10th June 2016, 3:13 am

When Frederick gazed upon a multitude of Sabertooth members being slingshotted towards the dragon, he couldn't help it but still question the liability of this plan. After all, facing such a beast wasn't the smartest things to do. Let alone, sky diving onto one that was made out of steel and heat. All this made Frederick wonder, was he really surrounded by the biggest idiots Fiore had to offer. Or worse, the very big chance that he was going to die while being one of them right now?!

But what could Frederick do, he couldn't fly. Nor did he feel much for jumping on the dragons back. Even fighting from a far was posing a problem, sure he could easily reach that monstrosity with some of his spells. If it wasn't for that large gathering of Sabertooth mages planning on tackling that creature mid air. Then it hit him, the very idea that could be useful. Well at least for one person.
Ever since Frederick had became a member of Sabertooth and started to see his fellow guild mates as actual friends. Family even. He had been working on a new set of spells, that instead of destroying where meant to protect. To help others for a change. Unfortunately it seemed to be easier said as done, as the magic he used was mainly darkness and everything vile that came with that certain element. Meaning that helping others often ended up in a double edged blade. For himself, and it's recipient.

But who, who was it he was going to channel his own power to. Of all the mages he saw flying no one was strong enough to handle this kind of power. Then his eyes fell upon Ibara, who flew in front of everyone. His protege, whom he always fought with. Maybe he could handle it, and if not, his own stubbornness probably would.
As Frederick began the incantation of his spell, that very well would take some of his own life force to fuel. A magical pentagram appeared underneath his feet. Even light up a little bit with a vague dark purple color. Slowly his spell took form, as a his own darkness took a vivid shape. But instead of surrounding him, it seemed to be moving forwards into the palm of his hand. Where he created a single twirling sphere. Then it the moment happened, his clothes that slightly fluttered inside the magic circle, levitated to be accurate. Stopped entirely mid air, as Frederick amassed enough power in his hands just right before he shot it forwards. As a black meteorite, it homed forwards and eventually hit Ibara. Where it on impact would engulf him entirely.

But while it empowered and augmented his pupil, it left Frederick panting. Breathing heavenly, as the spell itself just now took out a large chunk out of his own life energy. That was the double edged sword of this very spell, it could channel his power temporarily onto someone else. Or even himself creating his magical output. But in return it cut into his life-force. And heavily so.

Ryo watched as his attacks were harmlessly flung aside, but he didn’t discourage. He knew well that he wouldn’t be able to take the beast down alone, he had to try and make something happen however, and he would indeed do all that he could in order to protect the guild or die trying. He hissed as he began to rummage through his cards and he pulled out a card with his picture on it with some other cards. Slowly he let them fall and they began to form into an exact replica of himself. He looked to the clone, and then to the other one that had also appeared and they nodded their head in agreement of what was being said to them telepathically.

The two clones flew off towards the dragon and the first one pulled out some random cards shooting out a beam of Ice magic at the great beast hoping the extreme cold would crack the hot steel, and put out the flames of the beast. The other one flew in closer to throw magically infused playing cards at the beast before he pulled out other cards and these cards shot out like sniper bullets striking at the dragon the best he could be considering both clones were dodging the attacks that the others were launching at the dragon.

Meanwhile, on the ground Gora had managed to join up with the relief effort and he was carrying people and ferrying them away from their houses and the battlefield with as much speed as he could muster. He had been told to assist Jaffa in evacuation and that was what he was doing more often than not he would scare those he was trying to help, but that didn’t stop him and thankfully many people knew Gora as Ryo was rarely without his great companion and had brought him around the city to meet as many people as possible.

The real Ryo waited until all of the attacks were settled before he engaged in another attack of his own. He pulled up a pair of cards sighing and speaking out “Attack combo: Ice Missile!” From the cards formed an missile made of ice magic and it shot out with great speed towards the dragon. He thought he would do his best to attack much like his clone had with ice element magic hoping it would indeed be effective. Once the missile was fired he pulled up more cards flying in closer. “Elemental beam!” He muttered to himself as from the left card a beam of ice magic much like his clone’s shot out to strike at the dragon while from the left a concentrated laser of light magic shot out. He would have to wait and see what these attacks would do but he quickly flew away sinking his claws into the thick of his leg while he inhaled and began to pool his blood into his hand forming it into the shape of a serpentine dragon in his left hand.

This spell would take some time to work, and hopefully he wouldn’t need it, but in case he needed to be on the defensive he let nine cards float around in orbit above his right hand and he was ready flying away from the dragon to give himself space in case of attack. He only hoped that there would be an end to the fighting, but he wasn’t about to think so foolishly when he knew better.

Mashyuu gasped as molten lava fell from the monsters mouth and launched at the Earthen Slayer. Fear raced through his body for a half second while he instinctually patted Rocky as a silent way to tell him to release the Wizard. His gloved hands lit up with bright white light, the red leather releasing slabs of smooth stone that fell at the same rate Mashyuu started to fall as Rocky released the man and allowed wind to rush past him. "Armor of Stone!" He shouted, controlling the rocks to slam against his body like a second skin just before the molten breath attack hit.

The lava melted away off the stone from Mashyuu's body and even burned some of his skin but he managed to absorb the blast, keeping those below the city safe. Rocky swept in low and grasped his charge mid claw and soared him high over the Dragon. The Earth Wizard scowled for having to waist a defensive signature spell on a single attack from this creature. He watched Wizards blast the Dragon with Ice and try to super heat the monster to crack it's hot metal scales. Following Ryo's lead Mashyuu soared high over where it had been flying and where the man had attacked. "Alright... I might not have a roar yet but I do have this..." Mashyuu extended his palms out in front of him and let magical stones fall from them and hover. "Earth Dragon's War Hammer." The stones slammed into place as Mashyuu's right hand tightened around the war hammer and hoisted it high over head. His left hand grabbed the bottom of the shaft as Rocky flew down at the Dragon as fast as he could. The gravity effect from the hammer lit up just as Mashyuu drove the hammer into the same area Ryo had been attacking. The sound that came from the blow was like that of a blacksmith working metal in a forge. If it had any lasting damage would be hard to say, but his hammer would for sure slow the beast down.

A Guild at War - Page 2 Empty Re: A Guild at War

Post by Sabertooth 15th June 2016, 4:42 am

An anguished roar unlike anything ever heard, bellowed through the sky. Deafening anything and anyone in the very moment a sword stung the mighty dragon through its scales. But despite the spot-on strike from the Guild Master of Infinity Hydra, the dragon itself was still far from defeated. As it immediately started to twirl around the air, hoping to shake off the man that had struck a blow against it just now.

However, it seemed that the man on its back wasn't the only one foolish enough to fight the dragon head on. Coming from all sides, in all kinds of different shapes and sizes was a collective of Sabertooth mages as well. A consecutive row of attacks, all aimed at the dragon from various angles. The first was a giant white fist striking into the dragon’s side, while simultaneously a salve of cannons from a ship nearby fired at it. Following that very attack was an elemental strike from a mage clad in red, that at first confused the dragon. Trying to get his attention focused on something else while it suddenly followed with a combination of ice and light. Though it didn't do much at first, until a might blow slammed into the weakened scales. Forcing the dragon that bellow once more.

“YOU VERMIN,” the raged dragon shouted into the air. Unable to accept the fact that creatures as lowly as humans struck at him with this sort of might. “OPPOSING ME IS OPPOSING DEATH ITSELF!!”

With a powerful gust of wind, the dragon spread out its feathered limbs. So much even that all the ships around it would suddenly have to deal with a moment of harsh turbulence, that would shake everything flying near enough to him. Then with a mighty force, it flapped his wings forwards. Sending forth a shockwave of wind mixed with a fiery blaze that would oppose any human foolish enough to think that being shot straight towards him was a smart idea.

Leading those mages was a fiery mixture of blackened flames, which surprisingly enough managed to shot through the shockwave, while all the other mages were sent back flying. Like projectiles, they were shot straight into the very guild from where they were thrown. While their leader, the mage foolish enough to be the first to land, was met with the dragon’s maw. Widened and ready to gulp down the very mage as he tried to strike at the almighty beast.

    “Now cower in fear!!”

Suddenly the dragon flew off with a speed beyond human comprehension; it went up, forcing anyone else who was still on its back to hold on to something if they didn't want to fall off. It crashed through the very ship that had fired at him before, creating a multitude of debris for those hanging on to deal with. And into sky beyond the clouds, where it would come to a stand still for a second. Just before it rushed downwards, with its wings closed along its sides it dived through the cloud formation again and this time, went straight for the guild hall itself. Where, just in the knick of time it would spread its wings to break off most of its speed and land forcefully in front of Sabertooth. Ready to ensure total destruction of the guild and all who inhabited it.

This time the dragon looked more malicious as before, and some could say it was even smiling as lines of flame flared from its nostrils. Right before it started speaking again, this time more threatening than ever yet ever so arrogant with its words. “Do you fear me yet! I who is from the apex race! No?!! Then allow me to reveal to you the true strength of the dragon itself!!”

Suddenly it lifted its entire head, its neck slight pulled backwards. As it once again opened its giant maw, revealing a glowing mixture of fiery colors. As it was ready to shoot out a familiar attack, one that everyone surely had to pleasure to see when dealing with dragon slayers, only this time the power such an attack was increased by a tenfold, no...by hundred even. As the might of dragons were incomparable to those of humans. Then it happened. The sky momentarily lit up as the dragon released its might upon the guild. Blasting through it from top to bottom. Shaking the entire floating island to its very foundations.

So you can throw me to the wolves
    Tomorrow I will come back
    Leader of the whole pack
    Beat me black and blue
    Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne

Being flung back and forth across the dragon, Ardere dug his flaming blade deep between it's iron scales. He could feel the wind swirling around his body as the beast flapped it's wings and shook it's body. Fortunately, he was on the back, between the wings. This meant that he got the least wind resistance, but unfortunately that only saved him for a few moments. As the winds grew stronger, the fire mage could only help by countering with a spell. His body was slashed up by the strands of wind, causing his flame body to flicker in some spots. They were powerful winds, but they would not stop the guild master. Keeping one hand on the blade stuck between the scales, he could feel the wind sucking him away. Eat this. Black flames began to swirl around his arms, blasting him forwards until his fist hit the dragon. These black flames began to summon sparks of gold between the flickering flames, turning them gold. The golden flames blasting him forward with intense speeds, his fist would hit the dragon with enough force to shatter a large building. Flame God's Earth Shatter! The massive amount of gold flames was almost like a beacon to the mages around, a beacon that they could continue fighting.

If this attack worked and kept him in place, which he was sure it would, then the beast would have taken some damage. However this did not mean in his mind that he should by any means stop attacking, on the contrary. Summoning a black blade of pure flames, hot enough to melt through straight steel. This was the first time he had ever conjured this blade in an actual battle, hopefully it was worth it. Flame God's Dark Arts: Ifrit's Blade. Let's see what you're made of. Stabbing the now second blade between the blades of the dragon, he used his increased speed to repeatedly slash at it's scales. The corrupt flames would likely sear the beast's scales, if not melt them in some places. This was the strongest spell weapon he had in his arsenal, and Ardere planned to put it to use. Come on guys! Hit it with everything you've got!

Trying to burn the dragon's eyes with his weakest flames didn't give El the result had hoped for. The dragon did not even flinch at the small waves of blue/green flames aimed at him. That was one thing gone wrong. Second thing gone wrong was a stupid guy coming like a comet straigth towards the dragon's mouth. The momment El though what could be worse, more Sabertooth mages, he supposed, rose to the air with their fellow guidlmate...all coming towards the dragon's head at an incredible speed. And then flames surrounding the leading figure turned black.

"Is this guy fucking insane? I know we need to get this son of a bitch killed, but me being cooked along with the dragon is a big no-no! Well, at least the dragon is not going on a rampage"

Oh, the joy of tempting the gods of irony. The dragon shot upwards in the sky at insane levels of speed. El had no other choice than to summon Lepida and pierce the dragon to hold on. He managed to find a small opening between its scales, as big as his sword's tip. Stabbing the dragon with his spirit weapon, El had now a way not to fall for a second time in what one would consider an unhealthy small amount of time.

Or so he thought. This bloody dragon increased his speed. It was going so fast that the sword sliped out of its body. And fast forward half a second or so El was falling again. He had reached the base of the dragon's neck when his hair grew waist long, his eye was covered in his flames and his body was now covered by grey, samurai armor. An aura the same color of his flames was also surrounding his body.

Small, azure wings of fire formed on his back and he was now holding Lepida on one hand and Bloody Hawk on the other. The synchronize mage looked like Lucifer himself, awe inspiring and ferocious. The thought of flying to the front of the dragon's head occured to him, however it was then that the sky lit up as the dragon prepeared its attack.

"That's my chance. Tell me dragon, do you bleed? Because you will!"

El flew a few meters back, his swords now covered in two small layers of his flames. Four flame hands, bluish green in color, appeared to stem from his back too. El charged at the dragon and furiously started swinging his swords aiming for the dragon's nape. This was his best option right now...trying to hit the bastard with all he got. Even if it took him all he had, he was gonna make it alive.

    ~Meanwhile~

Lyra had managed to land in the ground without a scratch. Mainly due to her half demon physique and her harmonize magic. Hebiou was her saviour this time. Hebiou being a spell of hers that gave her sword a ten meters long snake like form. She used that in the last minute to stop herself from hiting the ground. She also used this to propel herself to the sky and reach the dragon.

The last few meters of the trip were the hardest as the dragon had once again begun his advances. However these meters were traversed with the help of two copies of Lyra's currently modified sword appearing around her, both propeling her upwards.

Lyra had reached El as soon as the mage was entering his swingin rampage. Wanting to give her two cents Lyra also started attacking the dragon with her blades. Making it so that the force generated from the swings kept her up in the air.

She knew she wasn't harming the dragon at all but right now this was all she could do.

As Rowan plummeted to his imminent death, the plasma mage started ever constant mantra. “I’m dead… I’m dead… I’m dead, I’m dead, I’mdeadI’mdeadI’mdeadI’mdeadI-“ The ground was rushing up towards him rather quickly, and Rowan shut his eyes, words now tumbling out of his mouth at an incoherent rate. His babbling paused for just a brief moment as Rowan made impact with a winged lion before his mantra continued, albeit much more slowly. It took another brief moment for the plasma mage to realize that he was still speaking, and with extreme caution, Rowan opened his eyes. “I’m dead… I’m dead… I… are… are you an angel?” Blinking a few times in surprise, the plasma mage stared in wonder as a bubble of protection enveloped the little trio. Realization slowly dawned in Rowan’s mind and a huge wave of relief crashed over him. “Whew… thanks for the save... I really thought that I was a goner-“ His thanks were quickly cut off as Zlatan made a beeline towards the dragon that had caused his gravity related predicament, and Rowan’s hands gripped the nearest objects. “Uh.. I now realize that you are not an angel, and that this must be hell… unless… you’re intentionally going towards this dragon…. in which case this must still be hell-“ The plasma mage’s words were once again cut off as the gigantic dragon let loose a gust of wind in all directions, disrupting the approach of most of its attackers.

Post by Kite Wilhelm 28th June 2016, 7:02 pm

    Kite Wilhelm
Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

Kite would stand still on top of his ship as he watch as not only his desolation fist and partical cannon blast make their way to the dragon's location, but various other attacks as well. The first attack that caught Kite's attention was the flames that were opposite to his own, black flames of none other than the god slayer Ard. He could also see light and ice strike the dragon but despite the number of attacks they threw it didn't seem that the dragon cared that he was being attacked. However one attack made contact with the dragon and it drew an actual reaction from the massive beast and it was of no surprise to Kite who the attack belonged to. Mashyuu was a formidable opponent for sure but he was a dragon slayer. Even that wasn't enough to keep the beast down for the count just angered it more. ”Damn, this bad boy is tough.“ The wind blew into Kite causing his coat tail to flap in the wind he was trying to think of a strategy but before one could properly form the ship began to shake violently due to the force of wind that the Dragon's wings were creating. Kite had lost his balance for an instant but used his arms to regain it just in time to see mages falling from the sky and at the head of this free fall assault was Sabertooth's Fire Dragon Slayer rocketing towards the dragon with black flames surrounding him, but in horror Kite watched the dragon swallow the Dragon slayer whole.
”Ib...“ the words wouldn't escape as the dragon took off from it's perch on the guild hall and rocketed not just into Tailspin but through it causing a haul breach in the cargo bay. "Kite, we won't be able to fight this thing with this damage. Gotta land." The dragon would be first to land on the guild itself and began to gather in breath and harnessed more flames for another breath attack. Kite's eyes widened as he saw an opening thanks to Ard for not only attacking hard but reminding him of something. He could thank for standing still but he was gonna make him pay for causing so much damage to the guild.

”Don't Land, I have an idea. Charge up the cannon and aim for where the black flames are.“ Kite would make his way to the nose of the ship and call forth Shamash, his large broad sword from the gates of hades. Tailspin swayed as Wash kept it still and did as Kite asked "The cannon didn't work last time." Kite knew this but the cannon blast wasn't the primary threat to the dragon. ”That's fine just fire when I say so.“ Kite would walk to the very tip of the nose and would leap off falling to the front of the cannon. During his descent between the nose and the cannon Kite position the sword under his feet like surf board with the his feet pointing at the cannon's opening. "Kite what are..." Wash was gonna ask but Kite would cut him off,”Fire!“ and Wash followed the order and the partical blast pressed into the sword and shot both it and Kite toward the black flames that Ard used to scorch the scales of the beast. The wind ripped into Kite's face causing his eyes to water a bit, this would have been fun if he wasn't daring death to take him now. Once at the preferred distance Kite would reach down with his hand and grab the sword's handle in reverse, and held it like a spear. He would do a full front rotation in air an as he came around to complete the rotation he would hurl the sword like a spear into the damage scales caused by Ard. Kite wasn't done right after he let go of his sword he had another spell lined up, ”Flame Demon's Calamity“ which was a mid sized fire ball that struck the pommel of Shamash driving it deeper than it normally would. Kite would land next to his sword and would breathe in,
”Ibara I hope you're hungry. Eat up and stop fooling around already!“ Kite would use the opening in the dragon to his advantage. Opening his gates of hades he let his entire supply of Explosive flame lacrima slide into the dragon and hopefully where Ibara was. If so then Ibara would know what to do.

    ”“

"With fire in our bellies and the sun in our soul!"
Whether it was the questionable smell, the ever-increasing heat, the gargantuan rumbling that shook every bone in his body; all factors seemed to suggest the young dragon was alive and well - just not in a manner that he had expected. The last thing he remembered was seeing an opening maw followed by heated, jet-propelled flames enveloping the entirety of his body before his vision went black. That sensation dissipated within seconds and left him stranded, here, in gunge and mock while solutions of molten metal pooled at his feet. Corpses littered the red-rimmed innards of his draconic assailant and the thought of the innocent lives that were wasted fighting this opponent for which Sabertooth had done nothing to provoke only furthered Ibara's ever-increasing rage. Steam pooled off his skin as it usually would, a mark of his natural temperament, which only added to the intolerable heat that tinged the air.

"I need to get out of--"

His voice was seemingly cut off by a powerful force; a force so strong that it temporarily prohibited the heat inside the dragon from fluctuating, an ice attack of some kind. That was immediately followed by the appearance of a sword directly above the young dragon, a man so strong, capable of piercing the scales of such an overwhelming foe single-handedly; it had to be the Infinity Hydra Guildmaster. Ibara was tempted to call for help, to show some significant sign capable of passing on the message that he was alive and.. not so well. He dismissed the idea though, the gap was simply too small and the heat waves did well to prevent much sound emanate from him at all. Ibara crouched to his knees again while blow upon blow continued to rain down on the dragon, each tremor of significance as the fiery dragon slayer noted, the damage was becoming more visible.

"Times like these where you truly learn not to take your Guild for granted."

Ibara smirked for a moment as he glanced above him, the sliver of light that beamed through the heated darkness; a representation of hope; that all was not lost, this dragon may have been a mighty foe but he was not invincible.

As the young dragon continued to ponder; crouching to his knees for a time in order to think properly, he could hear the dragon's continuous outbursts from within followed by several charged beams which what Ibara faithfully assumed was it's roar.

"OPPOSING ME IS OPPOSING DEATH ITSELF!"

...and other similar phrases that didn't have much effect other than piss the dragon slayer off. He swatted his hand to the base of the monstrosity's stomach in frustration; as if that were to do any good in damaging at all. As his hand connected though, the sensation was not what he had expected. Rather than a protected scale-like form, a hardened shell designed purely to act as the greatest defence, his skin was met with something similar, soft and fleshy... but more importantly - vulnerable.

As if his praises needed any more answering, he could hear another thud echo from above him; another mage had made contact with the dragon, little did he know that this one would be far more influential to Ibara personally than any other would. A brave and solemn voice; unmistakably belonging to Kite Willhelm - the Flame Demon Slayer of Sabertooth. His approach was followed by yet another gaping hole in the same position where Ardere made his mark, an explosion of flaming power that widened the gap in the dragon's hardened shell. The hole was wide enough now and Kite's voice rung true.

"Ibara I hope you're hungry. Eat up and stop fooling around already!"

Following on from that; several small metallic objects dropped down from above, each landing in a pile at the young dragon's feet. Ibara stepped closer towards them, his nose almost pressing against one of the foreign devices before noting a ticking sound. Where had he heard this before? The monumental ticking slowed to a halt as if to signify the conclusion of a timer. Wait.

    "BOMBS?! ARE YOU CRAZY?!"

Ibara screamed as he backflipped rather unacrobatically away from the huge explosion that did well to tear and eviscerate at the dragon's stomach from the inside such was the vulnerability of his innards. Heat scorched and twisted around the beast's body before curling around the young dragon like a blanket that had finally reached it's maker. The dragon slayer had made it a safe distance away for his face not to be blown off by the contraptions from sheer force alone and thankfully, this had allowed him to clock onto Kite's thinking.

"...Hang on.. Kite! You're a friggin' genius!"

Ibara cut himself short. He had to act fast for there wasn't much time. His lungs billowed outwards and his chest puffed to a monumental size before the flames that once blanketed him began to suction into his body like an extremely effective vacuum. The flames that once scorched the dragon's innards now curled and glided into the dragon's mouth. With each passing second, the power of the young dragon begun to intensify. His two-toned eyes slowly began to shift into a deadly-yellow, the same color that adorned his father's eyes. The development was clear. Scales began to shred away the skin on his cheeks and under his eyes; acting as a temporary replacement.

"..Oh man.. I've never felt so alive."

Ibara slammed his fist into the ground while his knuckles sparked with flames, creating a small crater in the dragon's stomach through the force of his punch alone.

"You're about to learn that it's you whom is opposing death. Not us."

Ibara's fists ignited without the use of words due to the embodiment of what many knew as Dragon Force empowering him to monumental levels. Without a second hesitated or spared, at the speed of stampeding rhinos, Ibara's fists rained down on the fleshy, vulnerable mid-section of the beast that had quickly transitioned from predator to prey. Allowing the young dragon into his maw had turned out to be an advantage that had quickly turned in his favour. Magic specifically designed to combat dragons now rained down on this monster's most vulnerable area.

As Ibara's fists slowed to a slightly more exhausted pace, he noticed there now to be a hole in the dragon's underbelly where his fists had once occupied. He glanced around, his dragonly senses even more enhanced before cupping his once ignited hands around his mouth and gazing upwards.

"Let's finish this.. Kite.. Ardere.. it's time you ignited too."

The young dragon breathed inwards and with a mighty roar, a colossal column of flames ripped from his mouth and burst outwards; tearing through the dragon's spine only to form a massive cylinder of flames which both went through the dragon and up into the air; acting as a beacon for the other mages to rain down upon the dragon with everything they've got since the shoe was on the other foot; the predator had become the prey.

Minh watched with careful eyes as every second passed slowly with everything happening at once as mages and pets swarm upon the dragon which only seemed to anger it further as it proceeds to surge with power even beyond what it had displayed. Cheepie instinctively stops in its tracks as it watches this powerful beast unleash a beam of energy so strong that it rocks the very air as it sunders the flying guild hall with a thundering boom. The earthen monk hesitates for a moment watching this and turns to face the hall again as he is being carried by Cheepie.

"CHEEPIE, WE HEAD BACK, THE OTHERS REQUIRE OUR AID!!"

Minh understood that to run now was to trade off getting into the fight with the beast, but his strength was going to be needed back at the Guild Hall as there were many who were making their escapes from the flying structure itself. If he was to leave them to die in this dire situation with a massive number of others already in combat with the beast, it would only eat away at his conscious should any die from the his ignorance of the situation. The small bird carrying him off, looped back for the Guild Hall at top speed, looking to bring him to ground zero of the impact from the blast itself to begin making sure no one was caught or in immediate danger from the molten blast.

    Lynn

    Anima Libera
Lynn might have been slightly wrong in her calculations as the moment she was close to the dragon, she noticed the odd glow to Ibara’s skin. He had consumed Kite’s flames and had now entered into a different, more powerful mode - Dragon Force. The state of the dragon appeared quite...unhealthy. Since Lynn had a companion with her who did not seem very enthused to face the dragon, Zlatan flew closer to the ground until they almost landed at the guild. Creating a cushion of snow, the lion positioned himself so Rowan would slide off his back and land on the cushion. “Help the others if you can,” said the Ice Dragon before taking off again. This time she was much closer to the dragon, only twenty meters separated her from the monstrosity. Hovering in a position that was the eleven o’clock of Ibara, she ordered Zlatan to activate the buff aura to increase the effectiveness of her allies’ techniques. She was not a fire mage so she couldn’t create fire for any of the Slayers to consume. Ibara was the first to activate Force, and with enough firepower, Kite and Ardere were probably doing to do the same.

The Ice Dragon Slayer, being the wielder of the opposing element, remained floating, figuring out how she could be useful. She created a bow and a quiver with five arrows in it, all made out of ice. Wondering if the dragon might try to flee from this since the situation was rather disadvantageous for him. Despite the fact that she was an ice wielder, her temper was as short as any fire mage, if not shorter, so the thought of this fiend escaping at all made her jaws tighten. After destroying some parts of the guildhall and burning Ace of Spades to ashes...death was ensured for it. So to make sure there was no escaping, she grabbed an arrow from the quiver on her back and aimed it at the part that its wing connected to its body and shot. Of course she had to aim very carefully since it was moving and all. And then for the other wing, Zlatan leapt to the other side, and with another shot, the dragon would not be able to fly much without its wings hurting like fuck. She still had three more arrows. What should she do? Lynn reached for another arrow and then aimed again, this time at its eyes. Her anger had driven her to do the unnecessary. She fired two arrows, now blinding the dragon. With a satisfied grin, she fired one more into its mouth that open as it began to roar in pain.

Kiersa glanced up at the destruction raining down around them as the mages continued to clash with the titanic metallic dragon before returning her focus to what really mattered right now for her. Getting all of these people out of here, even though it seemed like she was the only one actually doing any sort of evacuation work.

Right now she was stretching her shielding spells to their utmost maximum, trying to keep the debris from smashing down into the clear path she had made for them out of the town and away from the battle site. Each and every impact on the shield send a ripple of pain through her body, the magic inherent of the Holy Stigmata magic making her share the damage that would have otherwise been inflicted on those she was protecting.

If they somehow managed to make it through all of this, she was going to need to rest up for at least a month to recover herself from this... if there was anywhere to rest up at that was. The Guild Hall and the town were taking a serious amount of beatings from the flying spells and fire of the colliding forces. Right now though, she had to keep trying to maintain the shield, whilst at the same time projecting a healing aura to the civilians around her... Yeah, she was definitely going to need at least a month off to recover from this much trauma.

Just by landing on the courtyard of the guild itself, the entire island shook. Revealing once more the might and power of the dragon kin. But that was not all, just by standing there Frederick could feel the scorching heat, as if he was thrown into a boiling room. Never before he witnessed such power before, nor a creature that was as large as this. However his guild mates seemed unimpressed by the power of the beast itself. In fact you could say they got only more excited with every passing second. Every time the dragon pushed them back, showed them their power. They met it with an unwavering resolve. They truly were just a bunch of muscle heads after all.

From all sides the Dragon got attacked now. Ardere from on top, slashing away the scales. Melting some even, meaning that his flames burned even stronger then the dragon. Followed by his guild mates, along with Kite who dropped in the explosive lacrimas into the Dragon itself. Which could only mean one thing, the young fire slayer, who so foolishly got himself eaten, was still at large. Probably trying to punch his way out of the dragon. Then it happened, ripping through the side of the dragon, a fiery blast of fire that was just all too familiar appeared. Making Frederick realize one thing, that all things considered that these men might be the real monsters.

    ''Allright let's end this!!!''

Even Frederick got caught in the moment, with the continuous salvos of attacks and determination. It appeared that the dragon was finally brought to his knees. As it screamed in anguish, when it literally got attacked from its very insides. ''Everyone get clear from the dragon!! Let's finish it with one final attack!!''

While he shouted, Frederick's own aura started to intensify. His darkness taking on a materialized vivid form. Enough so that it started to become ominously eerie. And with it the sensation of what was his power started to become noticeable. Those closest to him, would start to feel pressure, as if it was weighing down on him. And all around him, everyone started to join in. Mages of both guilds amassing all they had in one final attack. Even the Dragon started noticing now, and it realized something that it hand't felt before. Like never before, this indescribable feeling called fear. It was scared, the Dragon knew it, and the mages of Sabertooth and Infinity Hydra knew it.

A large multitude of black pentacles appeared from high above all the way down to the dragon. Equalling it in size and beyond. And slowly the sky started to blacken with it as well. Taking away the light as the darkness that was Fredericks power started to grow larger. ''Dragon! You have met your match!! Ultimate Offense: Dark Testament!!''
For a moment everything deafened as Frederick's attack beamed down onto the dragon with a bellowing noise, even sight got taken away as it hit the infernal beast. Where it exploded in a mass of darkness all around. Along with every other attack thrown at the beast.

Ryo hissed as he watched the destruction that this beast had brought upon the guild hall and the floating island. His eyes went blacker than night and his body jerked as he tried to contain his evil hatred of this beast. The spell he was charging was ready and he spoke with a voice that was as cold as the artic itself “Dynamic Blood Make: Blood Dragon” From his body and the sphere hovering over his hand a great serpentine dragon grew from the blood forming and collecting itself into the mass that it was. The dragon wasn’t as large as the one that was attacking them, but it was slender and snake like. It was actually twice the length and it shot out towards the fire and steel beast slamming into it sinking its fangs into the larger dragon’s neck coiling around it trying to squeeze the life from it.

Neither it nor Ryo was stupid however and the beast made sure not to get in the way of the one who had been consumed and was trying to rip his way out from the inside. The claws of the blood dragon ripped into the larger dragon as it tried to constrict it to death and rip its throat out. He didn’t bother and wait as soon as Frederick gave the warning to get clear Ryo took his opportunity to pull out one of his most devastating powers. He reached into his coat and slowly pulled out two tarot cards both of them were the card “The Devil”. He inhaled and sent as much of the magic that he had left into these cards and filled them to bursting with magic.

As soon as they were primed they shot off like a pair of brilliant bolts from his hands. The cards were visible to any who were looking at the sky two purple streams were impossible to miss, but the dragon wasn’t looking the right way as it was. The cards then blinked out of existence and then reappeared over the Dragon’s back away from where his blood construct was. They shot downwards with great speed almost creating a sonic boom as they soared down and looked to slam onto the Dragon’s back. The impacts would be equal to Ryo’s power and would create a shockwave, but that didn’t matter to him at all, if anyone was caught up they would be thrown away, but the enemy was far too important. This all happened only a mere few seconds before Frederick’s spell took effect.

Ryo was far enough away to not be affected by the blast and he trembled with the great loss of his mana, but he also began to feel the power of his hat filling his body with mana. He was not sure if this would be enough, but he would be ready to cast another spell if that is what it would take he would destroy this damned Dragon if it was the last thing he did and he thought it would be. The two clones of his weren’t stupid, but they were away waiting for the attacks to end, and if it wasn’t enough then they would be quick to attack again.

As the Dragon landed harshly Mashyuu was tossed off of it's back and to the ground. He laid still before the beast for what felt like an eternity and barely moved. Just as he started to give up hope of winning against such a mighty foe his ring called out to him. Get up! Finish the beast while it's on the ground, don't let your allies fall, don't give such a terrible foe dominion over anything you hold dear. Mashyuu's blue eyes sprang open in time to see Fred launch a massive attack at the Dragon, causing the beast to howl in pain while the man Mashyuu had only met for a moment reached out and cast a spell of his own, joining in Fred's attack. It seemed the Wizards were putting their all into one final strike.

Placing his gloved hands on the ground Mashyuu kipped up to his feet, the black boots magic kicked in and propelled Mashyuu faster than many of his strength in Sabertooth. A dust cloud kicked up behind his feet until he reached the back of the Dragon and took aim at it's tail and legs. "Not getting away this time buddy. Earth Dragon's Tomb!" he called out and raised both his arms up while slowly clenching his fists together.

The ground under the Dragon ripped apart and wrapped around the beasts legs from calf down and took a quarter of it's tail under ground. The earth quaked and squeezed the Dragon, trying to break bones and hold it in place, to anything else this would have completely swallowed it but a Dragon of this size couldn't be contained by a single spell.

A number of things happened in a very short period of time. The dragon itself was confused by the sudden display of great power that quickly overwhelmed it and brought it to a state of cluelessness. Was this the end? These petty humans...defeating me!?FOOLS!” it roared in agony. A certain fire mage had stabbed into the dragon’s scales with a searing blade that cut through its flesh effortlessly. Another deafening roar of defeat echoed through Ace of Spades as a weak scaly limb reached up at Ardere, but stopped in the fear that the next incoming attack would hit it straight in the face. Instead, the dragon tumbled to its left, hoping to dodge it at least, but the weight of it was too much. Instead of hitting it in the face, the dark flames slashed across its face, burning and cutting simultaneously. Oh what great pain. Was this the power of the mages combined? Where did they get all this strength? What was driving them to this extent!? No human could land a scratch on the dragon before the leaders of this guild. And now...it was the whole guild, or at least the ones who wanted revenge.

A rough chuckle escaped through the beast’s lips as it began to realise there was no fighting back now, amused at how it had though the guild would probably cower in fear and give up. The humans had as much passion as it did to defeat their enemy, if not more. How could he win now? The ground beneath it cracked and swallowed its legs whole, creating a sort of quake that threw it off balance and land on its side. Of all the things that could happen at a time like this, the dragon was shot in both eyes with ice arrows. “AAAARRRGGH!” it screamed in pain. Now it couldn’t see as well. Fantastic. Coughing out weak flames and holding a grip on the ground below, it thrashed in all directions, although with extremely feeble appendages. No more flying, no more fighting back. This was the end.

You win...” it mumbled hoarsely. The flames died out and the dragon laid helpless on the damaged earth. Occupants of Ace of Spades held their breaths as if in fear of the dragon awakening once again and retaliating. A few minutes passed and the dragon still laid, eyes shut and body unmoving. Was this really the end? They waited a few more minutes before the celebratory cheers erupted all throughout Ace of Spades. It was over. The calamity was over. Sabertooth had won.
