Kanix was mildly amazed by the display of magic prowess that Kyoden was exhibiting as he created a tent made of shadow. She could not see the construct, but its magical presence was what caught her attention from her place in her own tent. If she had the ability to do such a thing, she would have made her own tent as well; thus, everyone would be happy. However, her magic was not something that gave her the capability to create things from scratch, like he could. So, she was forced into sharing a tent with the former associate of Basilisk Fang, who she had already shown her dislike to. It seemed though, that Kyoden was not in favor of either of them as well, so it was all considerable mutual hate toward each other. Yet, Kanix could not easily show the hate toward the Savage Skull member as easily as she could show it to Tenchi.
"
I refuse to allow him to even touch me," the woman responded in a snarky tone of voice, arms crossing over her chest. This was all she could make out in denial about the current situation, as she hated being teased and mocked by others. She had enough of that back when she had been in the sex slave industry and all the men looking her over and chattering about her. It was mildly disgusting to think about, all those hands all over her, grimy and dirty, touching her porcelain skin. Her nose wrinkled up in disgust and as a farther retort to Kyoden's statement, she scooted deeper into the tent. Now, the tent was of more ease of access, meaning Tenchi could easily get into it without having to step over her. Of course, she still didn't want him in there, but what choice did she have when there were, but only two tents?
She highly doubted that Kyoden would be up for sharing his tent, just so she could stay away from the unsanitary man that was Tenchi. The only thing left was to be sleeping by Ancalagon, who, by now, seemed like the better choice of place to sleep. At least he would be one to enjoy her company, and she would be able to keep warm by the lightning sparking off him. Her head turned in her pet's general direction, noticing that he was rather quiet for the tension going through the air. In fact, she was highly surprised the Thunderbird hadn't gone on defense and tried eating either of her partners. Of course, that wasn't the ideal thing that any of them wanted to happen, and she'd likely be kicked off the job for it. In that moment, however, the woman turned her attention back to Tenchi and Kyoden, though Kyoden had disappeared by now.
It just her and Tenchi now, who was apologizing for the words he had spoken to the both of them, though the apology sounded fake to her. In all honesty, all of this was her own fault; if only her birthright hadn't activated at such a strange time, they may have all gotten along. However, it had been her birthright's fault to bring about such information of Tenchi conspiring with Basilisk Fang. So many of her memories were connected back to that guild, the guild to which she wasn't sure whether to hate or not. The people inside were ones she had formerly loved, and not to mention that her own sister lived among them. How was such information as that to be taken by her? Living in a legal guild when her elder sister was a part of dark? Did sisters not follow in the footsteps of their elder siblings? Perhaps, she should've been the one to apologize?
Her sightless gaze lowered to her lap, where she hid in the tent in the now silence, no answer to Tenchi's apology. She shivered as a wintry breeze drifted past the tent, as a result of her being careless and wearing her normal attire. Kanix pulled her knees close to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, though her stomach got in the way a bit. Goosebumps lined her forearms, hairs raised, and she felt her head rest on the tops of her knees to the best of her ability. This was not ideal weather to be in, but she had worn this as normal, so she would have to fake it until she couldn't anymore. Outside of the tent, she could hear Tenchi speaking some more, most likely to Kyoden, who was hiding in his own tent. No one wanted to be around each other, which was a sure sign that they weren't going to be that great of partners.
The sound of the tent's flap opening caused Kanix to look up, sensing Tenchi's magical presence entering the confines. Her head lowered back to her knees and she turned her face away from him, hoping that he would ignore her. Shutting the single eye tight, the woman prayed that he would simply come in to grab something and head back out. Oh, but her future vision decided to kick in and images of potential outcomes flashed through her mind quickly. She opened her eye again, in which it could be seen darting around its socket, as if intently following all the images. A soft, white glow emitted from the opalescent sea of blue, outlining the clouded pupil and the iris as well. What was he planning to do? Should she be wary of his choice of actions or was it safe to say she could ignore the images?
As he spoke, the woman's visions faded and with it, the light that had once surrounded the eerily pretty eye. Kanix glanced back in his direction, but didn't say anything as he mocked her abilities to see about themselves things she needed to. Her body stiffened as she felt him make a movement, but her muscles quickly relaxed as the sound of him removing a piece of clothing entered her ears. The jacket was thrown at her, hitting her in the face, and at first, the near-naked woman didn't make a move at all. Instead, the blind eye darted down to the object, and then, with her left hand, she placed it on the ground and felt around for the item. Slender fingers wrapped around the fur hood of the jacket and she lifted it up off the ground, feeling it with her hands. It was soft, and still warm from being worn by its owner; she frowned at the feeling of warmth from it.
But to be nice, the woman played around with the tangle of fabric, until she was able to find an armhole and stuck her arm through it. She fumbled around a few minutes longer and stuck her other arm through the remaining hole, wrapping it close to her. At least it was some warmth, but it didn't suffice with the fact that her legs were still bare to the skin. However, she was distracted when the Adalhard appeared back from his tent with a keg of beer over his shoulder. Why he had so much on him wasn't something she really cared to know, but baffled her a bit, so she moved back out into the open. Kanix didn't go much farther than to sit outside of the tent entrance, listening to the buff man talking to Kyoden's tent. The woman highly doubted that the man would come out from there, let alone want to drink with Tenchi, since she couldn't.
