This was getting more and more interesting by the moment. First she didn't perish at his first strike. Then she was able to actually damage his armor. And now she still didn't die from him using a few of his abilities. It was almost about time he stopped underestimating her, and get truly serious about winning this fight. Realizing that the place she was more than likely relocating herself was his back--as many attacks were designed to be most effective with--he avoided it without a moment's hesitation. Dashing straight forward in the air faster than he had ever gone before--since it was backed up by an ability--he turned around upon arriving ten meters from his current location, a trail of blue Holy Energy left in his wake that dissipated after a moment. When he turned around, he found that she not only had tried to stab him, but practically doubled the length of her blade as well in an attempt to keep him from avoiding it, or to try extra damage. It was a good call on his end to use Nephalem Dash. The blade was not far from his location.
And then came the next attack. Remembering his theory about the way her strikes were composed, his response to her next one was a little bit...unusual. Rather than positioning himself a certain way, attempting to avoid it, or try and track her movements, he stood still. The gap was closed instantly, and in response, Deniel spun his blade around as fast as he could in the grip of his right hand, circling it like a fan. He didn't see any strike coming from her, but certainly enough, his blade caught on to something that was coming straight from above. While the right one could not block it from his loose grip, he was able to swing the left one to knock away her overhead strike, and then follow up with the right to deflect the frozen cut left behind. It seemed he figured out her little trick...or so he thought. He would have to find out soon enough.
Now he performed quite an awkward movement to counteract her next course of action. Sensing attacks coming from both above and below, he quite literally tilted himself in his stance to standing on his side, holding out a weapon on each side to block the attacks that came from above and below. What he had forgotten about when performing this action, was that each and every one of her attacks had an addition to it. Something critical that he should not have forgotten. As a result, he was impaled once right at the center of his chest, and impaled a second time in the exact same spot. His armor and its crystal were shattered from both ends, not only getting through it in his chest region, but also going straight through his skin and muscles. This move would have proved fatal to others, and he decided to play off that idea. With a smirk on his face beneath his helmet, he maneuvered himself to dodge the next strike coming from above him, but still appear as though he was helplessly falling.
Not long after she landed within the water, so he did he. And he appeared to be sinking, too. As if he perished, just from those two strikes. Anyone else would, really. They were aimed straight at the chest, and it was more than likely her strikes pierced and skewered his heart. Of course, while he was in the water, he did have a moment or two so he could think.
Every second attack is invisible, or so fast I can't see it. And every attack also leaves behind a second. And if she blocks my attacks, the force it sent back at me. Good thing I've got two swords. She's fast, too. Though she used a lot in that last attack... she might be worn out just a little bit. And she dodges my attacks more than anything, meaning she might be quite frail... I need to get better or I'll end up losing this. From underwater, he briefly sheathed one of his blades, and one palm of his hand became covered in Holy Energy. Moving it over to his chest region, he briefly contemplated whether or not he should repair his armor, or his actual flesh. An idea came to his head, one that might help him win this fight. Choosing to repair his armor, on both sides the White Angel's armor was instantly repaired, and shining brand new again. It was tight enough to stop the bleeding from the wound, and the wound itself was not fatal to him at all.
Of course he would keep that a secret from her.
Following those events to himself, the White Angel once again emerged from the water after leaving her alone for a few moments, both of his swords still drawn, and both of them still covered in Holy Energy; the attack he charged earlier was not quite finished. And now that she was done with her offensive, it was time for him to begin his. First, a comment was in order:
"Almost hit my heart there. Though I guarantee you...you won't get that opportunity again." Quickly slashing his two blades from the distance between them, he used the last two charges of Innocence on them; two crescent slashes, just like before, were launched out right at her, followed by four swifter blades created from excess energy of the attack.
The White Angel's body was then briefly covered up in a small pulse of Holy Energy, granting him a small bit of Take Over Energy. Then, the armor itself was ignited by what looked like a blue flame, though in reality it was nothing more than an engulfing excess of his Magical Power, Holy Energy. Except for this, it had an actual effect to it. One that he was not about to be conveyed. In spite of the fact that she was on the 'ground', he would not be using it. He didn't need to be sky-high to engage in aerial combat. Only three feet off of the ground, that's all he needed.
It was time for him to bust out a few tricks and secrets of his own. He brought both of his swords together, and the two of them suddenly merged, forming an enormous broadsword, but the most unusual factor about it was its demonic appearance; there was nothing angelic or holy about it, yet the Angel was still able to hold on to it. Closing the distance between them, he swung the broadsword straight from above his head towards hers, but the attack never landed. Another feint just like before, but he didn't teleport away this time. He didn't need two hands for the blade, it was as light as a feather either way. What the true intent of this attack was, was a punch. Straight towards her gut, followed by one aimed for her face, he put her in a bit of a rock and a hard place. She could deflect the blade, or the fist, but not both; his armored, masculine fist was certainly far more powerful than her feminine one. And even if she struck back, she would find herself damaged by the aura surrounding him. In addition, the two attacks created four more blades that launched themselves right at her.
Following that attack, he re positioned himself right above her, slamming his blade straight down towards her head. Of course, that was once again an attack that would never land; instead he used Nephalem Blink so that he teleported himself faster than he had ever done before himself right behind her, whatever her location was, and deliver a blow straight for her spine with the enormous blade. Two more blades were created, and launched. He hadn't even bothered taking the time to turn around when he delivered the backstab; he did it while holding the blade backwards. Digging his blade out, or just pulling it back if the attack missed, he gripped it with two hands, and split it right in half to the two previous twin katanas he held. Spinning his body around and carrying the blade with its momentum, he unleashed a small flurry of attacks--or parries if she had bothered to cut back at him following the attack--in which both of his blades were brought up to her one after the other, and then brought down in an overhead cleave on each of her shoulders, brought in like a pair of scissors to each of her sides, and then finally a jab towards each of her ribcages. 10 Rune Sabres launched in total. However, the sword on the right never made it, and that was yet another feint.
Instead, he brought it down towards the ocean's surface, and when he brought it back up, a pillar of Holy Energy ignited itself to explode over 40 meters into the sky, 20 meters thick, but it traveled 20 meters per second faster than its initial speed due to the White Angel empowering it with one of its supplementary spells. Even with Shining Wave, this was not the end of his attacks. Blinking once more, he was right above her this time around, his body turned downwards straight to her. Whilst the Shining Wave was hitting her, or she avoided it and he was right above her location, he spiraled his body around and unleashed a total of fifteen shots at once from the tips of his fingers, doing very little damage individually, but stacking up would be quite devastating. And in spite of the weakness of the spell, its speed was much faster than even Deniel was at the current moment. Using the last Blink he had available to him, he re positioned himself less then thirty meters away from her, and set up the final assault. Using 4 of the 8 stacks conjured earlier from his Magic, the Nephalem reset the spell Innocence, and would probably catch her off guard.
Especially since it had a twist this time around. His blades igniting themselves with Holy Energy just as before, he held the hilts just inches away from each other, and unleashed all six slashes at once one after the other. The first went straight for her, followed by two Rune Sabres that sped right past. The second, on the other hand, hit a random object that the White Angel placed; a mirror. It certainly did not look like it, since it was quite literally just a rectangle of Holy Energy in the path of the second crescent slash, but after hitting it, the slash bounced right off and started traveling up to the sky. Hitting another mirror, with the Rube Sabres following it, the direction it traveled was straight down to her from the sky. The third slash hit a different mirror that he placed down, traveling from an angle to the right side of her body. Making it seem as if he was going to cover her with slashes on all six sides, that was the complete opposite of his intentions. The very last trick he pulled out of his sleeve was with his swords and crescents at the same time. Throwing one sword from his grip, followed by another, Deniel created a motion in which he spun around with the two blades circling around him, almost like before, with both of them coming up from below with one after the other. The thing was, in spite of him throwing them, they were right in front of the female, and did the exact some motion as if they were with him, crescent slashes following up each sword strike, and two Rube Sabres launched from the Nephalem's location to a mirror, into the sky, straight down to her.
He brought the blade in his left hand back, while the right one slashed twice in an X shape to launch both crescent strikes, four Rube Sabres that each went to her from another set of mirrors, this time closing in on the left side of her. While he did this, the first of the Crescents had already gone straight to her, and the second was just arriving, with the Rube Sabres coming before them. He brought the right blade back, and the instant he did, the left one was already coming in for a high-speed jab at his location, one that was merely a feint, as it was brought immediately back, to distract her from the last of the Rube Sabres that had already closed in on her position.
He was finished for now, and didn't look the least bit tired.
