The lovely and enchanting sound of songbirds singing in a joyful chorus surrounded the young male as he continued embarking on his long trek, his journey, to the home of the group of individuals that hired him to complete a certain task. These birds sang upon their perch which was the branches of various trees whose leaves now were in a variety of colors consisting of brown and red. Plastered upon the visage of the young adult male dark mage was mischievous grin filled with delight and intrigue at the job which he was currently undertaking at the moment. Devious ideas ran through his head about how to make this job more interesting for him and how to obtain the sadistic thrill he desired as well. The gentle yet chilly somber breeze which carried the rich scent of autumn upon its shoulders blew through the short midnight black locks of hair which adorned the top of his cranium like a crown.
Written upon the rectangle sheet of paper was the official details of the request, the details of this job had been engraved into the dark mage's mind as he repeated again and again what the person desired. The group of individuals was a number of farmers who had made their living by producing a variety of different crops for the region. But it seemed that they had become upset with a man by the name of Jekis who had produced the largest yield of crops year after year. This initial jealousy had obviously become hatred for this group of farmers had asked for the assistance of a dark mage to destroy Mister Jekis’ way of life by burning his entire farm, every piece of his land, to ground.
"Never would I have imagined the agricultural world could be a source of entertainment for me to behold with my very own eyes. A group of farmers requesting for a dark mage to burn down the land of a rival farmer, such underhandedness is truly unexpected. I wonder if there is any other way for me to make this job interesting, fufu."
These thoughts ran rampant through the young man’s mind as the currently unaligned dark mage, Tenchi Mibu, finally made it to the meeting locale which this group of nameless farmers had decided upon for their initial meet and greet. It wasn’t more than a simple wooden shack on the land of one of the farmers who was known as Mr. Grange. The rustic appearance of this shack was a bit nice for this type of area and it was a pretty decent place for a meeting since most individuals wouldn’t think that a group of people would be planning the downfall of another in a wooden lean-to which was almost falling apart for pieces of the wood was splintered. Tenchi walked up to the door of the shed and knocked three times which was the signal that the clients had came up with to alert them that the wizard who had answered their job request had arrived. Behind that door, Tenchi could hear the footsteps of a lone person. It appeared that only one person would be meeting him for now instead of the entire group. Perhaps this was to keep some sort of secret or to give them some sort of alibi. It didn’t matter much to Tenchi, however. This job was simply to give him a bit of a thrill while training his body no this job was to give him more of the experience he had lacked.
Lightly the extremities of his right appendage went to his throat as he remembered his death at the hands of the Basilisk Queen, Famine, and he chuckled a bit. He had died because he had underestimated her or rather he had lacked to maintain his own composure for longer than a moment. But that didn’t matter for he saw his own weakness as a mage if he was going to make the world a much more interesting place then he would need more power for he couldn’t rely on his pawns at all times. He needed an indomitable strength for when moments like that occurred. The door to the shed quickly opened. Then for the first time, Tenchi bore witness to one of the men who desired for him to ruin the life of a rival farmer, Mr. Jekis.
Mr. Grange, a middle-aged man of average looks but his stature and physique were above average due to the nature of his work, was one of the men who had hired him. Based upon his initial appearance, he didn’t seem like the person who would succumb to the darkness or rather he would be too afraid to look at it directly. What type of personality did this person have? Tenchi wondered that and what drove him to the point where he would hire a dark wizard to assist him in such an endeavor. The man signaled for Tenchi to come inside. “Hurry. Hurry.” The well-built farmer stated as Tenchi strolled into the small shed.
"No one saw you, right? Right?! This is nerve-wracking... Maybe we shouldn't do this... But he always has the best crops and the rest of us barely make enough money! So this is okay, right? Besides, he lords over us with the fact he has the best crops and highest yield. He deserves this!” Mr. Grange spoke to the dark mage but it was quite obvious that this was his first time. A chuckle escaped Tenchi's lips as he took a bit of enjoyment at watching the chef squirm a bit in fear, but he knew this wasn't the to get his kicks. "No one saw me~ No one saw me, desu~ I am no amateur at this so no need to worry, desu~" The words escaped his lips excitedly as he jumped a bit in place from his own excitement. "Hoi, mai name is Tenchi, desu~ I am the dark mage here to assist you in your endeavors. You wish for your rival's farm to be burned to the ground right desu~" He finished with a bow before giggling a bit a more. "You did like my introduction, right~ Right~"
A shocked expression had found its way onto the visage of Mr. Grange as he bore witness to the eccentric shenanigans put on display by the dark mage. "Don't fuck with me, boy! I am putting my life on the line here so take it a bit more seriously." The farmer made a clenched his hand into a fist as the feeling of anger resonated throughout his entire being before he attempted to land punch upon the face of the dark mage. Without realizing what truly had occurred, Mr. Grange felt blood running down the side of his right cheek and a sharp pain coming from that side as well. His punch had only connected with the air around him. A loud yelp of pain escaped the portly man's lips, the sound which reminded Tenchi of a dog being whipped or assaulted. "I am taking this very seriously, Mr. Grange, but I get bored with my own personality rather easily so I go in and out of others as the mood dictates. So there is no need to question my abilities. You want the recipe and you shall get it, but if you want to continue down this path. I have no objections in the slightest. For the sounds of your fear and anguish are simply divine." A chuckle escaped the adult mage's lips as he showed his client, the instrument which lead to the pain he was currently feeling, a simple ordinary pocket-knife.
A sense of fear and dread overcame the man as he noticed the dark mage's change personality as that almost childish facade had completely vanished and was replaced with a sinister and sadistic one. "Yes..." He wheezed out of desperation. He wasn't sure if the words were right, but he needed to say something, to say anything, in this type of situation. If this child was able to injure him like that as just a display, then if the youth ever got serious he would be dead. Tenchi's right index finger went to his nose as if he were adjusting invisible glasses. "There is no need to worry, Mister Grange, for the secret fudge recipe will be yours shortly. In no more than an hour, you will have the recipe in your hands for I have thought of all possible outcomes and planned accordingly. But my good sir, you should make sure to change yourself first for it appears you have made your own batch of fudge already." A chuckle escaped his lips. "With quickness and precision, I am off to complete my ordain task." Those were the final words to escape Tenchi's lips before he left to finish the task, the job, assigned to him.
"That expression of complete and utter terror plastered on his face was enough to give me goose-bumps, at this rate I won't be able to control myself soon. The fear and humiliation experienced by others are enough to make me. Ufufufufu. It is just that intoxicating and enticing."
Tenchi continued for the rest of his assignment taking a bit of enjoyment in the fear he caused his client to experience, but that was making him a bit antsy, a bit anxious. "I really am a human with no redeeming qualities, huh? Ufufufufu! Wonderful! Magnificent!"
In time, the young adult reached his destination and stood outside of the farm of Mr. Jekis. He had heard a few rumors about the place before he came here about how Mr. Jekis would attempt to fight him if he was caught. It didn’t matter much to him as he reached for the various vials of gaseous poison which were on the belt at his waist. This particular poison was chosen for this job due to the fact that this particular brew was not only toxic but extremely flammable which would make it great for this particular job. His fingers gripped around on vial as he strolled onto the farm and threw a single vial of the gaseous poison at the coop. The animals began to run due to the poisonous fumes before he lite a match and threw a the flaming stick into the gas. Then… Boom. A loud flaming explosion occurred, taking out that part of the farm. The sound had alerted the owner of this ranch that something was wrong.
Out of the corner of Tenchi’s right eye, he saw a figure starting to run toward him with a gardening hoe its hands. It was obvious this man was the one who had owned this particular ranch, Mr. Jekis. Before he was able to give a remark, Mr. Jekis swung his gardening hoe at the dark wizard. But it was an untrained swing, which Tenchi was able to evade with great ease before he stood back and outstretched his hand. His thumb pressed against his middle finger before snapped his fingers. Around Mr. Jekis’ feet, a pool of liquid poison that possessed a purple hue appeared before taking the appearance of a snake which then surrounded and wrapped around his body. The poison looked it like it was boiling. The pressure of the squeeze caused the man to scream out in pain before Tenchi spoke. “Netherworld Poison Make: Corrosive Viper Bondage,” He said as he pulled out his portable recording lacrima to get every moment of this wonderful scene. “It is painful isn’t? You know the best thing about that poison? It is the burning effect it has due to its compounds.” Tenchi said with a grin as the viper squeezed on the man once more attempted to struggle to escape. But after the second squeeze, Tenchi could tell that Mr. Jekis’ life was about to end. “Why are you doing this?” The man asked. Tenchi just gave a smile. “Why? I am acting on the desires of a group of individuals. I believe you know one of them right? His name is Mr. Grange.” Tenchi finished. The look on Mr. Jekis turned from a pain-filled expression to one of pure shock. “That expression on your face tells me that you thought they were friends? Well… They hired me to kill you simply because you have the highest yield of crops. Or rather they hired me to burn everything you own to the ground. Your death is just a bonus at this point. Now then, make sure your last scream is wonderful for me okay?” With those words, the viper squeezed around the body of Mr. Jekis and there was one final scream before the man died. The spell dissipated and Tenchi put away his device. It was a short round of torture but it would suffice for now. He then proceeded to take care of the rest of the farm in the say as he did the coop. Eventually, everything was ablaze and as the farm burned down so the did the corpse of Mr. Jekis. With his job complete and a satisfied grin on his face, Tenchi went to report in and obtain his reward. The blaze continued to burn but by the time they arrived it was far too late to anything but to simply to try and contain the blaze. Even by the time they contained, Tenchi would have been long gone.
