A job well done for Dubhlainn in the neutral grounds, collecting loans and rent from Degardo's clients. After submitting his collections to the government office, Dubhlainn exits the building and heads out into the streets. Since his duties have been completed, with a bag of jewels in hand, he started to make his way back to Savage Skull but of course if he's going to return, he might as well perform a job while traveling back.
Every city has its own public job request board, a job request board for dark mages is quite rare and the neutral grounds just so happens to have that. The specific board was located underground, Neutral Ground's underworld. Nobody seemed to be around at this time and as Dubhlainn were to approach there was one piece of paper pinned on it, it seems like a request coming from the agricultural department of the Neutral Grounds. Dubhlainn were to meet his requirements right into their fields and according to what's written in the paper, he must act as a customer.
Upon arriving at the client's farmhouse, he wasn't alone, several farmers were there with him. Looks can be deceiving, though they look like hillbillies, the thought that they actually hired a dark mage for a job is actually kind of underhanded. Most people would hire Dark Mages for the most dirtiest of tasks, unfortunately Dubhlainn has to comply, he needed the money to pay for shipping his weapons from here to there.
He was briefed of the situation that he must burn down the property of Mr. Jekis, a farmer who defied and had always come in strong when it comes to harvesting crops. However one concern is that if Jekis's farm were to be burnt to the ground, it would cause an economic downfall of around 2% but that just goes to show how much he is worth.
The farmers however promised that they would increase their own production and if Dubhlainn performs well, their morale for work will rise. Dubhlainn knew what had to be done as he headed towards the city in order to purchase two cans of gasoline and a lighter. Afterwards he goes with his own procedure:
Step 1. The Barn
The Barn was relatively easy to burn as it only took him a cut woodlog and a stick. He sought to create ash and start a fire using primitive means, which he successfully did, making such simple fires was part of his survival training as a former soldier of a military. As there was enough ash, all he needs to do is blow, and as fire was lit, he grabbed a stick and light it up, immolating all the support beams of the barn.
Step 2. The Fields
One can of gasoline is needed as he sprayed the entire field with gasoline, as the Barn burns Jekis would come out and see what's happening only to witness the burning Barn. It served as a distraction as Dubhlainn continued on to spraying gasoline on the fields. Once at that, he lit a match and immolated the crops, because sections of the fields were sprayed with gas, the fire spread out, creating a massive inferno to which no crops would survive.
Step 3. Mr. Jekis
As if burning the barn was enough, the crops started to catch fire themselves, he didn't know what was happening and at this time, Jekis would come and call the fire department before the fire gets and larger. However what Jekis doesn't realize is that Dubhlainn was waiting amongst the flames, ambushing him and knocking him out with a sucker punch, throwing Mr. Jekis's body out of the inferno.
Step 4. The Farmhouse
Like what he did before on the fields, he sprayed everything with gas and lit it up on fire. Making sure that it spreads out and become a fire that not even the firefighters would control completely. He threw the two cans of fuel into the inferno in hopes to destroy the evidence.
Fire continues to rage on, the black smoke rises up higher for the entire Neutral Grounds to see. Citizens rushed in to lend a hand and when officials arrived, Dubhlainn was long gone.
