- 10 Minute Earlier:
"Azurius!" the deep voice called across the entirety of the heavens, hailing to the still sleeping man in his chambers. The call yielded no avail as he was deep in slumber, dreaming of life as a human as he did for many of the nights he'd spent sleeping. "AZURIUS!" the voice shouted harder, causing the denizens of heaven to cover their ears, wondering why none of them had become accustomed to this by now. The black coat wearing angel woke up, immediately materializing a small cigar in his hand and putting the pre-lit carcinogen to his lips. The sheets slowly were removed before he unwillingly slid out of bed, placing a hand on his messy hair as he stated groggily "Needa get a snooze button for that old man..."
Stepping out to the light filled world known as 'Heaven' by the humans, Azurius placed a hand over his eyes as they adjusted. He had always been a strange sort of angel, being the one to take the most interest in humans, always watching them, studying their culture, learning their war tactics, gorging himself with information about one of the lowest beings in existence all not caring to ask why he had done so. Azurius made his way through the marble city, clad in golden accents and architecture that would leave any human broke. He came to a pair of enormous gold encrusted marble doors that opened a second or two after he stopped in front them. He walked down an unreasonably lengthy hall, all the way to an arena like room where a large man sat in an elevated seat. "You kept me waiting Azurius..." the man stated with a displeased tone. "My apologies almighty pointer outter of obvious facts, does his obviousness wish to ask me a question or am I relieved to go back to sleep?" Azurius answered with a sarcastic voice, quite unhappy with being woken up so early in the evening. "I'll ignore your imprudence and let you know there is a task for -" "-Pass. The last time you sent me out I had to fight an army of hell hounds with a glowing stick. It worked, but I can't shake the feelin' you were just showing off." Azurius interrupted the large man. "This one's dealing directly with the humans." the man said sternly, catching Azurius's attention. "So why am I chosen... there's stronger, faster, braver, and smarter ones you can toss around, what makes me special?" Azurius asked inquisitively, not exactly taking pleasure in admitting he didn't actually have a niche. "True, and don't forget better looking angels. You're not exactly our number one pick when it comes to inspiring humans to follow holy orders..." the man said as he crossed his arms and leaned back on his throne.
Blue lines appeared over Azurius's face as he looked uncomfortably to the side. 'Thanks for the vote of confidence gas bag...' he thought to himself. "You interrupted my sleep to insult me old timer, or you gonna tell me what that job is?" he asked trying to break free from the possible ownage that was about to happen. "As you're the only Angel with enough curiosity to study the humans, it's been agreed upon that you will be undertaking this assignment. You may use any weap-" "-Aries." Azurius interrupted, stating what weapon he wanted. "eh-hem. You may use any weapon from the Holy Armoury you desire." "Aries." he stated again. "That's not part of the holy-" "-I won't do it then. Later..." he said while turning around to leave. Yet another difference between Azurius and the other angels, he had free will... and took pleasure in exercising it. "Hold Azurius! I will grant you the key, and revoke the armoury." the man called, not seeing the smirk on Azurius's face. "Hmmm... but master of obviousness... what if Aries isn't enough? What if I die because I was denied arms?" he said with a snide, cocky voice without turning around. "You're pushing your blessing's Tade." the man said with a gruff, angry voice. "And you woke me up before twilight." he replied, turning his head to lock one eye with the Angel's Leader. The two remained motionless, making the air grow tense as they eyes each other. "Fine. I'll grant you access to your keys, and the armoury. But you'd better not fail." he said begrudgingly.
Azurius walked into the holy armour, picking up a lever action shotgun from the wall, a semi-auto shotgun, and a knife. He also pulled a large coat that was colored white, and by speaking to the requisitions angel was able to get them all changed to his preferred color. The same individual also applied a little spell to his wings to allow those to change colors to his liking. Tossing the now black coat over him, Azurius opened a magic circle and stood on it.
In the middle of a large, damaged building made purely of marble, adorned with spectacular architecture, and buried in promising lore a golden magic circle appeared in the middle of its main hall. Azurius had appeared at the center of it, opening his palm and causing a small cigar to appear in his hand already lit. He placed the item in his mouth, tucked his hands into the pockets of his pants while letting the coat be held back by his wrists, and then looked about the room. "Oooooi!" he shouted, the cigar somehow not falling from his mouth. He then pulled the item out and exhaled some smoke. "Anyone here can help me apply to this swanky joint!?" he shouted casually. He wasn't worried about being identified as an angel as his wings weren't attached to his body, but there were two oval shaped holes on his jacket where the wings would be able to exit through. The oval shape didn't stop at his coat, but also was cut into the clothes under it. He walked over to the bar, noting no one behind it and went to pour himself a glass while smoking his cigar and waited for someone to come along.
