Wind gushing through the fire mage's brown locks, a heavy breath would escape his pale smooth lips. Ardere Kasai was standing on the deck of a rather large ship, on it's way to Snowfall Island. White and gold, with a gargantuan engine and quite the number of passengers, his ship sailed through the high seas. Today he found himself on a mission to save the island he was headed towards. A while back, a Sorcerer had frozen the entire island for many years. While it had been one of the most well known resort island, the frozen wasteland turned off many inhabitants both foreign and local. Fortunately a group of mages defeated the Sorcerer, and the island began to thaw. A rather large settlement was built on the coast, and after several months even began to take in guests. The citizens thought they were safe, but monsters rose from the remaining ice. For some reason, the island would not finish thawing. The guild master found himself as one of the most renowned fire mages in Ishval, called upon to fight these ice beasts. It was likely some of the magic left over from the Sorcerer's control had corrupted the island. Luckily ice was weak to fire, and he would likely eliminate many of these enemies. However the beasts lurking on the island were said to be no push overs, a second fire mage had been hired to accompany him on this mission. He knew nothing of this person, other than the fact that he or she called Eclipse Soul home. Considering his past dealings with that guild, he had no doubt this would go smoothly. Running pale leather covered fingers through his thick brown locks, Ardere took in the fresh air. Flipping back his large flowing cloak, red leather and wooden Samurai armor would be revealed. His bastard sword Clarent on his back, he was ready for whatever was waiting for him on that island. The ship not only carried him and another mage, but a dozen passengers to come settle on Snowfall Island. The only way to ensure their safety would be to keep his slayer senses keen, and his flames as the ready. Pacing along the railings, he found himself at the front of the ship. Staring off towards the island, but a small speck in the distance. So that's it eh? Don't worry Snowfall, I'll be there soon. Cracking his knuckles, the guild master filled with determination slid a leather covered hand to his side. Hmm. Just what had caused this island so much pain and suffering? He had not been very fond of ice, not since he was a child. One of his few true dislikes, the cold did not agree well with his fire body. Fortunately his fire body also worked in his advantage, as it was unlikely he would freeze. Shifting his stance, the voices of joyful passengers echoed through his ears. He had identified the scent of each passenger, but a new one ha finally become known. He could not help but get the feeling of deja vu, or perhaps he had encountered a similar scent such as this. Whoever it was, it was quite certainly a mage. All would reveal itself in good time, but for now he chose to relax and look off towards their destination. @Venir WC: 556/550 Post: 1/55 | Every wound will shape me. Every scar will build my throne. Job Location: Snowfall Island
Job Description: For the past several months, things on Snowfall Island had finally begun to return to normal. After the defeat of the ice wizard that had taken over the entire island, once a beautiful resort, the former villagers began to rebuild. It took months, but a town has finally been created on the island. It is a gorgeous small town that is on it's way to becoming the resort it once was, but a terrible series of events has prevented progress on the town. It seems that the magic the ice wizard used to take over the island had lasting effects on both the island and the wildlife that inhabits it.
For the past two weeks, monsters of ice have risen from the deepest parts of the island to attack the town. The town has been raided several times, but luckily the guards have been able to keep the defenses steady. The real problem is no one can venture off to other parts of the island or expand upon the town. It's even dangerous to walk towards the port to travel back and forth to Fiore, or establish contact with the rest of the world. The village has requested that a powerful mage, preferably a group of powerful mages come to the island. These beasts need to be tracked down and hunted, it is imperative that they be beaten. The lair of these beasts is the broken down ice castle the wizard used to use, find them and take them out.
Enemies:
Weak: Ice Mongrels (A-Rank x5)
Ice Mongrels are the most basic and common of the ice infected creatures, but that does not mean they are weak. They travel in groups and tend to attack simultaneously, not backing down from any enemy. They are 3 meters tall.- Appearance:
Normal: Ice Guardians (S-Rank x3)
The Ice Guardians are emotionless beings of ice, covered in spikes. They are not capable of flight even though they appear to have wings, but they do move at S ranked mage speeds. They will attack without hesitating, and can use their large swords of ice formed into their arms to deal S ranked physical damage. They can also exhale blasts of ice that deal S ranked spell damage. They are about 5 meters tall.- Appearance:
Strong: Ice Golems (S-Rank x2)
Ice Golems are large beasts of ice, humanoid in form and completely composed of ice. They can move at S ranked speeds and deal S.5 ranked physical damage with each punch. Boss: The Ice King (SS-Rank x1)
The Ice King is an extremely large beast of ice, appearing like a cross between a mammoth and an ice dragon. It is believed to be a boar that was corrupted by the ice magic and turned into the massive beast that now lurks in the ice of the island. It is colored the same as the snow, and if not for the large tusks it would blend in with the snow and ice. This beast is very ferocious, easily matching the speed of an S rank mage, with the strength of perhaps an SS rank mage. This beast is about 30 meters tall and 50 meters long. It takes 10 S ranked hits to defeat this beast.- Attacks and Appearance:
Tusks: This beast can thrust it's tusks forward which can break through small buildings, and deals SS ranked physical damage.
