- Job: The Hunt!
Rank: A-Rank
Player Requirements: Minimum 2 Players. 30 posts minimum, 500 words per post.
Requirements: Find a Boss after 20 dice rolls. Do not kill the creature. Capture it before it leaves the forest. Do not let it out of your sight for more than 5 posts.
Location: Phoenix Mountain
Description: You are on the hunt for a rare creature that is said to possess healing properties that a dying man requires. He is willing to pay a lot of jewels for you to bring the creature back! Though the creature is incredibly hard to find, and has been able to vanish without a trace from its pursuers.
Enemies:
Boss: Houyhnhnm- A white and green horse that releases a pollen from its coat that heals and revitalizes anything that takes it into their system. It does not fight; but never appears in the same location twice. It is a very peaceful creature and beyond easy to frighten. Once spooked, its speed is beyond that of other horses in the woods, able to weave through trees easier than a primate in the branches. Once it feels it is safe after being scared it will surround itself in the pollen and vanish in a clove of flowers to teleport itself to the next forest in need. However, it cannot survive long outside of the forests as its power drains quickly in direct sun or moon light. (Rank: N/A; Non-combat)
Strong: Great Boar- A mammoth sized boar that comes second to that of the ancient Boar God. Its tusks sharp enough to impale steel armor and a head strong enough to knock over small trees without stopping.
Charge: It is the ability boars, among other animals, are quite proficient at- running head first into things. Problem is that they also have frightening strength and can run at almost 100 kph, not to mention the tusks. Getting hit can be very lethal. The boar does it once every 4 posts. (Rank: B)
Normal: Timber Wolf- A normal sized wolf that hunts in a pack of five. They normally do not hunt poachers or hunters but will stalk them and protect their territory and cubs when they are threatened.
Howl for Help: If the wolves don't get defeated within 6 posts, they would let out a mighty howl and call for aid. (5 more wolves would appear. Rank: C)
Weak: Fairy- though they are harmless they do control the forest to protect the healer as it is in the area. They will do whatever they can to slow down those tracking the horse in order to ensure its safety. They are masters at manipulating nature environment like roots, vines, and branches. (Rank: D-B; obstacle)
Prize: 30,000 Jewels
Allison blinked once again at the job request, which was ripped and raggedy from the wind. The red haired mage had torn through the streets of Magnolia Town upon accepting the mission, since apparently the man had requested the job in order to save his life. And... Allison didn't want anyone to die! Therefore, the girl had set off for the Phoenix Mountains immediately, and miraculously managed to not become hopelessly lost on the way, as she typically did when it came to venturing places. After all, Allison's sense of direction was a bit... well, it was absolutely nonexistent. Most likely, the only reason she hadn't ended up in Talonia or such was because the Eclipse Soul guild hall was also located in the Phoenix Mountains, so the girl was more familiar with the area than she was with others. Deciding to give up on debating the reason she wasn't lost, since it was a miracle for the most part, Allison glanced around, searching for the cottage which had been described in the man's job request.
Unfortunately, although Allison knew the route to the Phoenix Mountains and the guild house very well, she was unfamiliar with the area surrounding the guild, which meant... she ended up utterly lost. Well, it was nothing out of the ordinary for the mage, and she promptly went about scouring the nearby scenery for anything that could possibly give a hint of where she was-- but unfortunately, it seemed that there was no one around. That wasn't unusual, particularly since there were some dangerous beasts that lurked around in the forests of the Phoenix Mountains, but Allison had supposed it wouldn't hurt to search for others to direct her on the right path. She did manage to find a trail of shoe footprints, which could have belonged to the other mage-- the girl had been assigned a mission partner for this job-- but she managed to stomp them out with her own. However, the girl was not dismayed in the slightest since after all, the Phoenix Mountains were't endless, and he had apparently lived close to the edge of them-- ah!
The red haired female spotted a cozy, but lavishly decorated house about a quarter of a kilometer away, and she made a beeline for the structure. The man was obviously wealthy, given that he had been able to put up a request with a moderately enormous reward-- but nonetheless, it was obvious that he liked nature and to be around such. Allison briefly remembered that he was deathly ill, and their duty was to capture a creature he had witnessed many years ago, who had the power to heal anything living-- even if the creature was on the brink of death. A few moments later, the redhead stepped into the clearing in front of the cottage and skipped across to the ornately engraved wooden door. She had spent much less time than usual searching for her destination, but Allison decided it was likely that sometime during the mission, she would also become discombobulated and be forced to wander around. Raising a hand up, Allison knocked a few times, her hand lightly tapping against the heavy wooden door.
