    Job Information:

Allison blinked once again at the job request, which was ripped and raggedy from the wind. The red haired mage had torn through the streets of Magnolia Town upon accepting the mission, since apparently the man had requested the job in order to save his life. And... Allison didn't want anyone to die! Therefore, the girl had set off for the Phoenix Mountains immediately, and miraculously managed to not become hopelessly lost on the way, as she typically did when it came to venturing places. After all, Allison's sense of direction was a bit... well, it was absolutely nonexistent. Most likely, the only reason she hadn't ended up in Talonia or such was because the Eclipse Soul guild hall was also located in the Phoenix Mountains, so the girl was more familiar with the area than she was with others. Deciding to give up on debating the reason she wasn't lost, since it was a miracle for the most part, Allison glanced around, searching for the cottage which had been described in the man's job request.

Unfortunately, although Allison knew the route to the Phoenix Mountains and the guild house very well, she was unfamiliar with the area surrounding the guild, which meant... she ended up utterly lost. Well, it was nothing out of the ordinary for the mage, and she promptly went about scouring the nearby scenery for anything that could possibly give a hint of where she was-- but unfortunately, it seemed that there was no one around. That wasn't unusual, particularly since there were some dangerous beasts that lurked around in the forests of the Phoenix Mountains, but Allison had supposed it wouldn't hurt to search for others to direct her on the right path. She did manage to find a trail of shoe footprints, which could have belonged to the other mage-- the girl had been assigned a mission partner for this job-- but she managed to stomp them out with her own. However, the girl was not dismayed in the slightest since after all, the Phoenix Mountains were't endless, and he had apparently lived close to the edge of them-- ah!

The red haired female spotted a cozy, but lavishly decorated house about a quarter of a kilometer away, and she made a beeline for the structure. The man was obviously wealthy, given that he had been able to put up a request with a moderately enormous reward-- but nonetheless, it was obvious that he liked nature and to be around such. Allison briefly remembered that he was deathly ill, and their duty was to capture a creature he had witnessed many years ago, who had the power to heal anything living-- even if the creature was on the brink of death. A few moments later, the redhead stepped into the clearing in front of the cottage and skipped across to the ornately engraved wooden door. She had spent much less time than usual searching for her destination, but Allison decided it was likely that sometime during the mission, she would also become discombobulated and be forced to wander around. Raising a hand up, Allison knocked a few times, her hand lightly tapping against the heavy wooden door.

    "No more missions!"

She raised her hands in the air and cheered as she entered the guildhall earning numerous stares in the process. She was done with missions! She had saved a young girl from crazy sun worshipers, she has defeated a masked guild, she had helped a stranger named Quincy, she had took some new members and rescued slaves, and she had finally had it with all of the work! "I'm going to kick back and relax, and eat all the ice cream I want!" That was her new mission, and it certainly wasn't going to be a struggle to complete. All of this lead to her complete and utter disappointment when she had received a certain request from her Guild Master.

    "No."

That was her initial response to the request. It wasn't anything big, just go on another mission with a guildmate whom she had never met before. It wasn't even a mission that required much travel seeing as she wouldn't even be leaving the Phoenix Mountains. It was just that she simply did not want to go, she wanted to sit, relax, eat ice cream, and play. However, all it took was one glare from her guild master, a few words, and like that Venir was up and out of the guild hall heading straight out the large wooden doors.

    ~*~

    "Poor old guy...."

She muttered under her breath, being completely sincere. Truth be told all she had to do was read the job description and she was out of the guild. She couldn't help but pity the poor guy, to be on the brink of death must be a truly scary feeling. "We'll definitely find this creature!" She seemed stupidly confident but she was a firm believer in: "If there's a will there's a way" which came in handy on most of her missions. Considering the young girl knew the Phoenix Mountains like the back of her hand, it didn't take her long to find the cabin. A trail of footprints in the freshly fallen snow was what lead her to the snowy cottage. Venir took a moment to gaze at the footprints, some of them jumbled together, "Two people must have passed through here..." She mused as she placed her own smaller feet in the prints, creating an impromptu game out of it.

Smiling she jumped from footprint to footprint, enjoying herself. Snow had fallen in the early morning hours, and the day was only just cold enough to keep the snow on the ground, though the sun remained high in the blue skies. "A perfect day for a walk in the mountains!" She grinned until the footsteps suddenly ended and she crashed right into another person. With a small shout and a great deal of arm flailing, Venir fell to her bottom. "Ow!" She groaned, crimson eyes wincing shut, and one hand reaching to rub at her now sore and cold bottom. The petite girl sat in the snow for a moment as she recovered, she did hit her head awfully hard on someone or something. Clearly, dazed the young girl blinked up trying to focus her vision at what she had run into.

Hunt for the Healer! [ Mission/Venir ] Empty Re: Hunt for the Healer! [ Mission/Venir ]

Post by Tess 17th July 2015, 8:26 am

The red haired girl tilted her head slowly to her right side and called out quietly, "Hello?  Is anyone home?  It's me!  Uh, I mean, it's the mage who's come to fulfill your job request... my name is Allison!  I'm an Eclipse Soul mage-- er, I mean if you didn't already know that.  Did you request only for Eclipse Soul?  Well, I guess I'll find out when my mission partner gets here... "  Shrugging, the girl lifted up her arm and knocked lightly again.  And then... again.  And again.  She stared at what seemed to be a wooden wall and simply beamed brightly before going back to knocking constantly.  Then, finally remembering that there was actually supposed to be a dying man within the structure, she blinked and stopped her incessant knocking.  After all, it wouldn't do any good to repeat the action without a response at all.

Allison continued to wait in front of the door, blinking at it in confusion after a while.  Why... why wasn't anyone answering?  True, the man was probably lying in bed due to his illness, but since he was so wealthy, she had expected servants to be here.  Of course, it was a ways out from any major civilized towns, but nonetheless with the ornate furnishings of a house such as those this one had, at least a few other people would have to be around to help.  Shrugging, Allison continued to wait patiently, deciding that if the man or someone else didn't answer within a few more minutes, she would go ahead and open up the door.  Just as she was about to undo the latch on the door, Allison realized that there was no latch.  So... how did the door open?  It couldn't possibly swing this way because Allison had been knocking on it for a while with no response.  But yet... if it swung the other way, only people from the inside would be able to open it.  The girl ran her hands along the crack between the door and the wall-- there was no place to grab for it to swing outwards. Then again, that could have been intentional...

Just as she was about to resort to forcefully opening the door, a sudden weight crashed into her from behind and Allison skipped out of the way automatically, blinking in surprise as a girl a little bit younger than herself, crashed into the door.  Yelping, Allison frantically grabbed her by both arms and heaved the girl to her feet, gathering her up into a warm hug.  "Are you alright?" she asked brightly, her emotions settling down.  "My name is Allison!  I'm guessing that you're a mage... from which guild?"  Just as she was opening her mouth to inquire about even more things, the heavy wooden door suddenly swung open, as if it had required no effort at all.  Blinking at the sight, Allison was just about to turn around completely and head through the door when she glimpsed a large, majestic stallion off in the distance.  It seemed to be part of Mother Nature herself, but just as the red haired mage was about to ask the strange girl if she had also seen the creature, it was gone.  Just like that, in a blink, so quickly that Allison supposed she had only been hallucinating.

Turning back to the younger girl, Allison beamed and said brightly, "Well, shall we go?" before reaching out to grab her hand and skipping through the door into the dark house.

    Close your eyes
    give me your hand
Dazed, head still lolling about, one hand reached up to touch her forehead as she silently chanted, "Ow, ow, ow!" As if that might help relieve the stinging pain in her head. Her blurry vision focused and she looked at a grand wooden door, "I ran into a door?" Well, the explained why her head was throbbing so badly. Suddenly, red flooded her vision, for a moment she thought she was bleeding but the feeling of getting hugged and tugged to her feet soon accompanied the red. "Huh?" blinking once and then twice, her crimson eyed vision finally focused.

A girl with reddish hair, no doubt that was the red she was seeing earlier, and blue eyes had grasped her in her arms. "A-Ah I'm fine!" Venir managed to stutter out rubbing a stray tear or two out of her eyes. She simply stared at the kind girl for a moment, stunned into a silence of sorts. Snapping out it Venir broke away from the embrace, she didn't want to make the girl feel awkward. Venir took a step back giving another glance over the other girl. "She's awfully short." She noted, not that Venir was taller than the other girl, in fact Venir stood a great deal shorter than her. Though, something about the girl seemed familiar and it took her a while to finally place it, "She sort of reminds me of Alyia..."She realized while looking at her, whether it was the height or just how quick the girl was to help her, Venir couldn't help but feel like the red-head was very similar to the angel.

At Allison's words Venir seemed a bit flustered, how could she have forgotten her manners!? "Ah nice to meet you! Thank you for helping me up!" A slight bow of the head to help express her gratitude before glancing back up at the red head, "I'm Venir RuLush." She introduced with a bright smile, "I'm an Eclipse Soul mage! What about you-"Before either of them could continue to interrogate the door seemingly creaked open on its own. The interior seemed dark compared to just how bright it was outside, and the door creaking open on its own? Well, that just made the whole thing seem eerie.

Unaware of her partner's strange sight since Venir was far too occupied in keeping her gaze trained forward, just in case a monster were to pop out of the house, she was almost startled at the sound of Allison's voice. "Yeah let's go." Her delicate fingers reached out and grasped at the girl's hand, her grip was almost vice like. Gulping Venir took a step forward not wanting to stray to far from Allison's side. The old dying man was supposed to live within the home but that didn't mean he was alone. Perhaps the very thing that put him in his dying condition was inside as well? Her overactive childish imagination took control, hesitating for only a brief moment as she took a step within the cabin.

Hunt for the Healer! [ Mission/Venir ] Empty Re: Hunt for the Healer! [ Mission/Venir ]

Post by Tess 17th July 2015, 12:52 pm

Allison glanced back at the girl as the two of them continued through the house, which was much larger on the inside than it had seemed to be from outward appearance. Her name was Venir RuLush, and she was an Eclipse Soul mage? Something about that sounded familiar, but Allison couldn't put her finger on it-- oh! Blinking in surprise, her blue eyes wide, Allison beamed happily at the silver haired girl. She seemed to be some what anxious about being within the dark house, so the redhead pulled Venir a little bit closer, trusting that she wouldn't mind. Peering into the shadows, Allison chirped in a bright voice, "Hello! Anyone here?" before glancing around a little bit to check with her own eyes. She hadn't ever managed to figure out what was familiar about the girl, but Allison had gotten this feeling earlier while thinking about it and she was certain that she had seen Venir before. Perhaps it had been while she was at the guild house-- after all, Allison was a member of Eclipse Soul-- ohhh.

Nodding to herself, the red haired girl said out loud, "That's what it was!" and then explained to Venir, "It's nice to meet you! You must be new to the guild-- I'm also an Eclipse Soul mage, by the way! Let's be good friends!" In the past year or so, Allison had really only visited the guild house for about an hour before leaving once again. There was of course the exception of during her exam-- but Alyia had brought her. Smiling, the red haired girl asked, "So, do you know Alyia?" before scanning her surroundings once again. It wasn't like Allison to be so overly cautious, but she wanted to protect the girl by her side. After all, Venir becoming injured was most likely the worst scenario right now, in Allison's eyes-- her own death would be much better.

Abruptly, a faint whirring sound came from a little ways away, and Allison pricked her ears, listening intently. She continued to move along at a steady pace, wondering exactly when they would find the man who had requested-- when all of a sudden, the floor was falling out from beneath her, and she was dropping at an alarming rate. Except... she never hit the floor. Glancing around, Allison saw that she was all alone, and tried to spin around on her heel only to realize that there was no ground. Glancing down and all around her, all the mage could see was pitch black, and she blinked faintly before shrugging calling out loudly, "Venir? Are you alright?" Hopefully Allison had been the only person to be affected by... by whatever had caused this to happen. And if Venir had been trapped, the red haired girl could only hope she wasn't panicking right now. Allison tried to focus on her surroundings and, after a few minutes, she was able to pick out bits and pieces-- like edges of shapes. According to these general outlines, the mage was in some kind of bedroom, since there was a vanity and wardrobe as far as she could tell. Stilling her movements, Allison listened and realized with a start that there was a slight sound of breathing in the room, from another creature.

    Close your eyes

At Allison's call there wasn't a single response, except for the door behind them closing shut on its own. If she was scared before, now she was really scared. Not to mention it smelled almost like a hospital within the home, sickness and death was heavy in the air, making her wrinkle her nose. Getting pulled closer to Allison's side, Venir seemed thankful for it. She was practically meshed into the older girl's leg, as if that might help protect her. Once again focused on her surroundings Venir was startled once more by Allison's sudden exclamation. For a moment she stared at the other girl unsure of what to say, she had never met Allison before nor was she aware of how long Allison had been in the guild, but it was odd to be called a new member. She had been there for a while now....

    "Alyia!?"

At the mention of the angel, Venir brightened up considerably. "Yeah! She's like my best friend!" The young mage grinned up at Allison, "We go on all sorts of missions together, hang out all the time, play together, and we're both Aces!" The girl grinned before quite literally listing off all of the things in which her and Alyia did as the pair walked through the eerie house. She was just excited that she got to talk about what seemed to be her only friend. It wasn't as if Venir wasn't a friendly girl, in fact she was one of the most social members of the guild, it was just that she hardly had the time these days to go out with anyone and really befriend them. "What about you? Do you know Alyia?" The young girl inquired, though it seemed as if Allison was listening for something else.

The sudden feeling of falling had made Venir yell, the ground slipping out from beneath her feet. Her hand was no longer grasping Allison's which made her realize that Allison was not falling with her. "She avoided it!?" The young mage thought in a panic as another yell escaped her lips, she was falling or rather sliding, through some sort of tube. The tube went on so long that Venir lost her voice from all the yelling, and instead she had taken to crying while internally screaming. Suddenly, something cold and wet touched her feet.

    "Water!"

Venir realized in just enough to take some air in before she went for a rather cold plunge. Thanks to the speed at which she was sliding, when she hit the water she went down a couple feet. Opening her crimson eyes, trying to see through the water, she briefly realized there was light above her. Light had to have meant oxygen! All she had to do was swim up.....She didn't know how to swim though....

    ~*~

Venir broke through the surface of the lake with a gasp, managing to flail herself close enough to land so that she could touch the bottom with her feet. "I-I thought I was gonna die!" She coughed and sputtered out some water, throwing her body upon the cold snowy ground as she tried to catch her breath. She was cold and shivering but at the least she was alive. "That mean guy! He ejected me from his house!" The girl thought rather angrily, through her chattering teeth. She rolled over onto her stomach to help her clamber up to her feet but paused. Just off in the tree line stood a creature, one that she had never seen before but it stood and stared at her. However, when she blinked it was gone. "Oh nooooooooo I'm going crazy!" She groaned, chattered, and cried all at the same time,

    "Allisooooooon where are you!?"

Hunt for the Healer! [ Mission/Venir ] Empty Re: Hunt for the Healer! [ Mission/Venir ]

Post by Tess 17th July 2015, 9:56 pm

Allison whirled around immediately after noticing the faint sound of breathing. The girl reached out with her hands, at the same moment calling out loudly, "Hello? Venir, is that you?" Upon receiving no response, Allison walked a little ways forward and squinted into the shadows, doing her best to pick out the outlines of furniture and other objects. Unfortunately, she didn't exactly have the most perfect of vision and ended up smashing into a short table, most likely of wood or a material of the sort. The mage wasn't able to feel the pain, but she did feel the impact and immediately wheeled around, inadvertently throwing all of her weight into the opposite direction, heading that way at an alarming and uncontrollable rate. Allison's arms made windmills as she fell, but alas, it seemed that falling was in her near future...

That was of course until a strong hand grasped the girl by one arm, lifting her up and setting Allison onto her feet. Blinking in surprise, the red haired mage was just about to thank the stranger and inquire as to their identity-- but the presence abruptly disappeared, and the girl plainly was once again left alone in the darkness. The faint breathing sound from before was missing as well, and Allison called out a bit hesitantly once again. "Hello?" She wondered if anyone could hear. Just as Allison was considering giving up and moving around, rather than waiting any longer for a response, a low voice echoed out from the shadows. "Well... welcome to my humble abode. The lights are out due to the unfortunate fact that I cannot bear the sight of myself... but I will have a servant show you to the exit. Please bring me back the wild stallion, mage, or I shall perish within a few days. Now, your companion is waiting... good luck." Allison blinked rapidly, opening her mouth to make several inquiries when another hand grabbed her by the shoulder lightly.

A few minutes later, the redhead was standing at the top of a thin stream, which trickled down to merge with an icy lake a little ways below. She was completely unsure of the method she had arrived at this place with but simply shrugged to herself. Turning around, the red haired mage was just about to thank the person, regardless of who they were, when she realized that the man or woman had miraculously disappeared, leaving not even a trace behind. Allison was jsut glacning around a bit more when she spotted a silver haired, ruby eyed girl standing on the shore, visibly chattering. The red haired mage tilted her head slowly to the side before her own eyes widened upon identifying which word was drifting out of her mouth. Calling out in a bright voice, Allison waved with sparkling eyes to the other girl as she stumbled downstream, falling into the river with a splash. "Venir? Is that you-- !" After being washed out into the lake, the mage finally managed to drag herself out, shivering slightly but not seeming to be overly affected. "Venir, I know what we need to do! Let's go!"

And with that, Allison grabbed the stunned mage by the hand and began to tug her along-- they would have to enter the forest in order to have a chance of spotting this stallion the man had mentioned.

    Close your eyes
    give me your hand
Shivering, teeth still chattering together, Venir briefly realized that she ought to try and stay warm. "Is it cold enough to get sick in this weather?" It was cold enough to keep the snow upon the ground but could she get frost bite or worse? Her warm breath created a tiny cloud in the otherwise chilly air, and her hands rubbed up and down her arms to retain warmth. She briefly thought about building a fire but alas the girl didn't know the first thing about building such a thing. "I still ought to try..."She thought with a frown, ice cold droplets still running down her milky skin, wet clothes clinging to her every move. Shakily, she gathered up some twigs, not particularly dry but it would have to work considering nothing else in the snowy environment was either.

Still standing next to the lake Venir gathered up the few twigs she had collected and just put them on top of each other, no rhyme or reasoning to the positioning of the twigs. Clearly, the young girl had little to no outdoors experience, and considering that she wasn't a fire mage she couldn't just light the twigs on fire with magic. Once piled up the red eyed mage stared at them for a moment or two. "Do I rub them together?" Kneeling down and grasping shakily at two twigs she did just as she had asked, but no result came of it other than the twigs snapping in half. She was so cold, she could almost cry. "I'm going to die out here..."She frowned, she needed to keep moving to stay warm, but at the same time she needed to find Allison! The red haired mage could have been in trouble for all Venir knew.

Red eyes glancing over the tree line, Venir spotted the usual forest creatures one might see, with the exception of the same strange figure she saw before, but this time it was on the other side of the lake. "I'm going crazy." The mage sighed, and when she heard a shout of her name it only confirmed it, "I am. I'm going crazy." She sniffled, still shaking like a leaf as she turned towards where she had heard the voice only to see Allison floating down stream. "Allison!" The young chattering girl called out, running towards her fellow guildmate. Luckily, Allison didn't seem too affected by the chilly waters but that was to be expected when comparing the two, Allison was older and most importantly bigger than the child like Ace, therefore it was to be expected that she dealt with the colder better. "Y-Yeah let's hurry." Venir requested between chatters, her hand slipping through Allison's allowing the other mage to practically drag her.

    "Achoo!"

Shivering, chattering, sniffling, and now sneezing Venir continued to get dragged along, closer and closer to the edge of the forest, "What is it that we're supposed to do?" She inquired sneezing once more, her button nose red from the cold.

Do you feel my heart beating?

Even after taking a rather chilly dip in the frozen lake, Allison's mood was still through the roof.  The red haired mage skipped along happily, thinking to herself how grateful she was that Venir had been willing to accompany her on this mission.  After all, the girl knew it had been kind of a last minute's notice thing-- after all, Allison had originally been intending to go on the mission herself, but had been informed only recently after accepting the job that she was not yet skilled enough.  Although the mage didn't really mind being told this, she didn't want to trouble anyone else by forcing them to go on an impromptu mission.  Peering with a bit of worry at Venir, Allison finally decided that the two of them would simply have to finish the mission as soon as possible!  Pleased with her final decision, the red haired girl twirled a thin section of hair around her left hand, the one that wasn't gripping Venir's cold palm.  To be honest, the mage had trouble answering that question, since she herself was unsure of what they were supposed to be doing.  Finding some sort of stallion, according to the man-- one which was magical; unfortunately, that was all which the two girls had to go on.  Shrugging and tilting her head slowly to one side, Allison finally beamed and said, "Well, let's just look around for a little bit!  There are quite a few forests around here in the Phoenix Mountains, so maybe we'll have to check in more than one for the horsey!"

Smiling at Venir, Allison glanced around once again.  It seemed that they were slowly edging away from the client's house and the woods were thinning-- perhaps the forest ended somewhere around here?  But was the creature which they needed to find only present here in the forests, or elsewhere within the Phoenix Mountains?  Perhaps it would be a more prudent idea to go back and recheck the area-- the red haired mage could have sworn that she caught a glimpse of a magical being, back before the two had entered the house.  Tugging at Venir's hand, Allison twirled around and tried to skip in the opposite direction before falling on her face with a bit of an oomph.  Apparently, her charcoal grey, suede boots weren't the most practical thing to be wearing while tromping around a dense forest such as this.  The girl typically didn't care about fashion, but rather, it had simply not occurred to her that it would be necessary to don any other footwear.  Digging her hand into the earth, the red haired mage shakily tried to get to her feet, the bright smile still securely in place despite her bit of a tumble.  Allison's cheerful spirits were not to be dampened by such a small thing like falling-- even if her backside was a bit sore from the ordeal.  Nonetheless, it seemed that the mage was having a bit of trouble with getting back to her feet-- even after a few moments of struggling, she didn't manage to rise.  A rustle nearby distracted Allison even more; what could be there?  She squinted into the bushes, trying to figure it out-- and then all of a sudden, several slim, canine-like figures leaped at the mage, taking her completely by surprise.

(( Edit: I rolled some dice and edited to have her react ~ ))

Venir was almost stunned at Allison's chipper mood. No one in Eclipse Soul, at least no one she had met, was ever this happy. It was to be expected in a guild of redemption that most of its members were the quiet, dark, and brooding type. If she wasn't so cold, she would have been almost elated at Allison's apparently unsinkable attitude. It vaguely reminded Venir of her own rather bright personality, that probably would have rivaled Allison's if not for the fact that she currently couldn't feel her fingers and toes. Still, the little bit of happiness at finding a guild mate whom she could possibly relate to warmed her ever so slightly. Her grip on Allison's hand tightened as they walked, she squeezed and unsqueezed trying to regenerate feeling in her icy fingertips, at the very least she could feel slight warmth from Allison's palm. Despite Allison's optimistic attitude, Venir seemed ready to burst into tears. "What? We're gonna have to wonder all over the mountains?" She sneezed again, "For a horse?" Now she seemed very skeptical. What sort of horse was it? Was the old man insane? He must have been if he kicked her out of his home and thought that some horse in the mountains would save him from death.

Simply letting the red haired mage drag her, Venir sighed as they turned around, backtracking through the snow and woods. "Are we lost?" She asked, no longer joyfully placing her footsteps in the footprints in the snow as she had once done on her way to the man's home. The moment Allison fell, a rather unexpected event, Venir was taken down with her. "Ah!" She yelped going face first into the snow as Allison fell the opposite way. "Owww!" She groaned rubbing her already red nose, numb fingers prodding at equally numb blush covered cheeks. "You okay?" She scrambled to her feet, while Allison was dressed for a snowy hike through the woods, Venir at the very least was. Though, her heavy coat was hardly much use to her now that it was soaking wet, but her boots at least had some traction upon the snow. For a moment she looked at Allison upon the snow, trying to get up but failing to do so. Despite how cold she felt, Venir couldn't help but let out a laugh at the sight. Like the ringing of bells her laughter soon faded and her red gaze instead turned towards the sound of rustling. A low growl came from the slim shrubbery before a few canine like figures jumped out one heading for Allison and another towards Venir. Letting out another yelp Venir tossed her body to the side, the snow cushioning her fall, the canine leaping right over where she had once stood. "Allison!" The young mage shouted, scrambling to her feet, and yanking at the mage's hand, pulling her up and away from the snapping jaws of one of the wolf's, "We need to get back to open space." It would do the mages no good to fight the creatures in their own territory, where they knew the tree's better than the mage's, they had to return back to the thinner part of the forest.

(( Ah Venir, stop being sorry for the wait T^T you're fine! My apologies for not being on most of yesterday or today, I also won't be able to post much tomorrow. ))

Some how, Allison felt as though she truly could be best friends with Venir. All kinds of people were among those she had met before; some were cold and uncaring, while others assumed the same kind of attitude as the red haired mage herself. This silver haired girl had such a sweet personality that Allison was happy to be around her-- and equally excited for this job. Upon feeling her companion's fingers tightening around her own, Allison blinked and briefly turned to Venir, simply to check that she was doing all right. A few minutes later the younger mage loosened her grip, and the redhead shrugged mentally before smiling vaguely and turning back to face forwards; until once again, Venir's hand squeezed the other girl's. Allison was just about to ask what she was attempting to do when instead, she was met with a few interrogatives, which the redhead herself had been asking a little while ago, inside the client's residence. Well... she supposed that they were good questions, and gave Venir a bright smile. The elder of the two girls wasn't sure whether that was the response she had in mind was what Venir had been searching for, since the silver haired mage seemed about to cry; nonetheless, she hoped it was so. "Yes! We're looking for a stallion, who has magical powers! He's going to heal the man, but the horsey's location is unknown-- it's somewhere in a forest around here, so we're just going to have to keep looking!" Allison was delighted with the fact that Venir seemed to be much less upset after hearing her answer, although her expression was still not pleased.

Shrugging, the two continued on for a bit of a while before the younger mage questioned whether the duo's whereabouts were known. Well, if they were being honest... Allison typically never quite could discern her own location, and the girl was just opening her mouth to explain this to Venir when she slipped, inadvertently yanking down the silver haired mage as well. Just as the red haired girl was about to inquire worriedly as to whether her companion was alright, the younger mage broke into peals of laughter, and Allison herself smiled cheerfully. Unfortunately, what seemed to be wolves leaped at the two girls shortly after their expressions of amusement, and Venir began to drag Allison away, explaining that the two had to find a space which was more suited to their kind of combat. Nodding, the red haired girl pulled the younger of the two mages into her arms and then immediately skipped away-- using her magical technique, the Skipping Step. She could cover more than a little distance using the spell, for any step she took which met the requirements, instantly grew in the distances it covered. The speed was heightened to that of a teleport, as well.

Upon arriving at an area where many of the surrounding trees and other vegetation were cleared, the redhead stopped holding onto Venir and instead whirled around to face the wolves, which she leaped towards, plunging into battle. Allison was more of a close combatant, and she wielded a thin but lethal blade; an enchanted katana known as Areviy Liyte. Simply by herself, the girl managed to take down about half of what seemed to be two combined packs of wolves; after doing so, Allison glanced around anxiously to make sure that Venir was unhurt.

Venir ran as fast as her chilled body would allow her, the exertion getting her blood pumping and some feeling returned to her limbs. However, she wasn't running nearly as fast as she normally could thanks to the cold conditions and having to drag Allison along as well. She was afraid that if she didn't drag the red head, then the other mage might fall from the lack of traction her shoes provided upon the snow. "Ah!" She shouted, feeling a pair of jaws latch onto the wet fabric of her heavy coat. With a sharp ripping sound and a few snarls, Venir tore free of the wovles grasp on her coat. "Awww man I really liked this one too!" She thought with a pout as she ran but didn't continue much on the thought. She had bigger things to worry about such as the wolves and the strange creature that she thought she just saw out of the corner of her eye. "Woah!" She gasped as Allison pulled her up into her arms, "She's way stronger than she looks!" Her red eyes widened in amazement but she supposed the same thing could be said about her.

When Allison used her ability, covering more and more ground with each skip, Venir could only burrow her face into the girls chest. She was used to flying but this was completely different from that weightless feeling! "I think I'm going to be sick!" She muttered, head lolling about. Luckily, Allison stopped skipping and Venir's feet touched solid ground once more. "Ah~!" She snapped out of her daze, the butterflies in her stomach going away as a few wolves approached. From the sounds of a slashing blade and a few whimpers Venir could only assume that Allison had taken care of a fair share of her own wolves. It was about time Venir carried her own weight with the mission, her hand grasped about the her curious bracelet with equally curious charm attached, and she yanked it off with a snap. Thus, her cute and more than a little flashy transformation began. After the bubbly pink light dissipated, Venir stood clad in a pink frilly outfit with a strange staff in hand. The head of the staff looked very similar to the charm that was on her bracelet, a golden star with two white wings on either side of it.

    "Let's do this!"

Her usually battle cry escaped her lips as she slipped a card out form her card holster. The said card seemed a bit worn but there was a magic circle on the back of it, and an image with a few words on the front of it. Placing the card upon the star of her staff it absorbed, "Install!" Having disappeared into the staff she pointed the star at one of the wolves, "Shoot!" Little balls of pink energy shot out from it hitting the wolf causing it to whimper. The other two snarled and darted towards Venir who simply raised her staff and brought it down on one of the canine's heads as hard as she could. "Bad puppy!" She shouted, the wolf yelping as the hard metal of the staff made contact with its head. The other wolf didn't seem too happy about what Venir did to its partners and instead charged towards the little blonde girl, it's fangs ready to dig into her. Considering her small size Venir tossed herself to the side once more allowing the wolf to slam into its pack mate.

It's quite the fight now isn't it. Ignite commented as she bit into her chocolate bar, some of the crumbs from the chocolate treat falling down. On her right side was a few chocolate wrappers crumbled up, clearly the content inside being in somewhere much worse, the body of a Phoenix Bird. Even with a human appearance, that does not change the fact that metal crumbles under her touch, it was quite a surprise that she was able to hold a chocolate bar the way she did. On the other side with the Violinist himself, sitting on the branch while swinging his legs. IT was quite the interesting sight, to think that Allison was able to hold much on her own without his help. Then again, it did seem like the assistance she received was rather useful in combat as well. Willing to protect the little girl at all costs, it seemed that Elyx could trust her once again. First his secret about being at the ball, and now with the life of the little girl that he is unable to protect all of the time. At least he could say that he did protect one though, Azalea was at home, sleeping like a rock. Good security was left to look over her while the Violinist headed out on a job to help pay for their rent. Black Rose was demanding it, and if he didn't start now, he might get int debt with the Bounty Hunting guild... That was probably not a good idea. So here he was, but before searching any further, to find Allison once again in the forest fighting made him wonder if she was quite ready to handle herself, or if Elyx had to intervene still. It seemed he would not get his answer, after all, the little girl seemed to have a partner of her own.

How about we pay the girl a little visi-... Hey, where did Allison go? Ignite exclaimed, her light orange eyes shooting up wide before her right hand pressed flat against her forehead. That caught the attention of the spying Violinist, who scanned the scene as well to locate Allison. No magic flow around the area in which he can sense, and his magic never lied to him. Allison!? The boy exclaimed, putting out his hands behind his back, shuffling through his knapsack to pull out his instrument, the Violin. Taking a risk, he hopped off of the branch to slam the soles of his boots to the ground, his head quickly looking around as if a beacon before he hit the ground. Ignite followed up right behind him, her landing a little more graceful due to less impact with the ground, but her face matched his, blank without satisfaction. That was soon about to change, this forest lurked with enemies, if they wanted to find Allison before she got too far away, now was the chance. The boy turned his head to the side to the familiar lady from the ball, at least it was someone he was able to ask a question to. Where is Allison, was she with you a few seconds ago? The boy asked, his tensions growing higher as he stayed. Ambushes were just waiting all over the place... Those wolves may have not been alone. Though he may seem a bit paranoid, he had good reason to be.

The pack that had attacked the pair was of a good size. Normally, the wolves in the Phoenix moutains stayed far from mages and humans alike but these creatures were bold or perhaps it was some sort of set up by a dark guild or some other entity entirely. Now was not the time though for Venir to be pondering about where they came from. Instead her attention focused once more on the wolves at hand, "Shoot!" She shouted once more, watching as a few pink balls of energy sent another canine whimpering away with its tail between its legs and a limp in its step. "Allison!" She turned her red gaze to check on her partner, she had heard the red head fighting earlier but it had grown somewhat silent. There were footprints and the like where Allison had been standing but other than that there was no trace of the energetic red head. "What?" The wolves couldn't have possibly gotten to her, there would have been blood or something. Was it that strange guy in the house's fault? There was no way he could have done something from this far out could he? Her thoughts drifted back to the strange horse like creature that she had spotted earlier. Instinctively, her gaze shifted over the tree line searching for the creature. She caught some movement within the shadows that tree's provided, but she couldn't say for certain if it was a regular horse or the strange creature. Judging by the strange shiver that ran down her spine she assumed it was the creature.

Her moment of distraction gave the remaining wolf enough time to recover and make a mad dash for her. "Ah!" The ball of fur hit her like a truck, her back meeting the snow that didn't do much to cushion her fall. She slid a few feet but the wolf was on her in a moment. "S-Shoot!" She shot her few remaining balls of energy at the wolf, as well as a sharp kick to its exposed underbelly. It whimpered, but didn't move until she slammed her staff into the side of its head much like how she had earlier. It flew to the side with a whimper. She sat up in a panic, "Allison!" She spoke once more, head whipping around as she searched for the red head only to spot someone who was not her guild mate. Immediately, the platinum haired child took up a defensive stance not recognizing the mage until he drew closer also inquiring about the missing red head. "You!" She couldn't quite think of his name in her frantic, still adrenaline filled state. Briefly, she was amazed that he was able to recognize her despite still being in her child form but it wasn't as if there was much of a difference between her older form and her current form save for height. "What are you doing here? No, never mind that. We have to find Allison but we also have to find that horse." She suspected that Allison was either with the horse or had somehow had been taken away by the client who was expecting the horse. Or maybe the red head had just upped and left?

Post by King Elyx 12th September 2015, 7:19 pm

Wait, what!? Elyx exclaimed after receiving a rather abrupt, unsure answer. A tilt of the head after the remark was given. He knew about the horse that had to be tracked down and most likely, taken out. That was part of the job after all. Now that he thought about it, if these two were to take on the same job, if his assumption was correct, that would mean he and Ignite were racing Allison and... Wait. What is your name? The She Phoenix asked before placing hands on her hips, but with a curious facial expression shown. Always on the topic... Right Ignite? Elyx thought to himself as his eyes were covered by an embarrassed shade created by his hair. A small sweatdrop fell from the back of his hair for a few seconds as he then stood up straight once again. It was besides the point as of right now, the horse and Allison were on the loose. Was there a reason why she disappeared? And could anyone confirm if she was gone? If there was one thing that Elyx had as a priority, it was to keep her and Azalea safe from anything that would try to harm a single hair on her. We can't leave her behind! I refuse to have anything happen to her! The boy exclaimed before looking around, maybe this was some sort of game that she thought was amusing. The Violinist was worried for Allisons health, hopefully she was not taken away by anyone. If she were, the one who hurt her or killed her would be the first person he would ever have to murder.

To signal Allison about his presence, the boy began to play his Violin, using a familiar song that he played around her while they were on a job together. If she heard it again, maybe she would know that Elyx was around, then the boy could ask her what happened. If it were a game, the boy would probably do what the lady did to him back at the ball, then probably end up apologizing to her and explaining where she messed up. He looked around the trees, but made sure to not get far away, running at full speed to find the little fireball. Ignite just watched with a smile on her face before turning to the only person remaining left to talk to. He always tries to act like an adult, it's like he doesn't even know how old he is anymore. Anyways, are you after this same horse as we are? The She Phoenix asked as she put her right hand in her pocket, the pulled out a four-folded piece of paper to reveal. It was the job request, hopefully it would seem familiar to the newcomer. If not, well, that would be rather unfortunate, and the encounter would be a quick coincidence. Finally, Elyx found something rustling in the bushes... But unfortunately for him, he was in for quite the nasty surprise. A growl from the bushes occurred once he got too close, and the trust he once had in it quickly shattered and forced him to put up his Violin. Dang it! We got company! The boy exclaimed as he stepped back slowly, ready for further combat.

    Close your eyes

Venir looked between Elyx and the Phoenix, a somewhat awkward silence having enveloped them at the mention of Allison, and Venir's lack of knowledge on her guild mates whereabouts. Luckily, the she phoenix asked her a question that Venir knew the answer to, "Venir RuLush. And you?" She extended her hand out for a handshake, her manners were excellent despite her childish form, but it seemed like she was just as quick to get off track as the Phoenix woman. Letting her hands fall to her hips, her crimson eyes widened as Elyx spoke once more with determination. "Oh right Allison." She scratched the back of her head nervously, cursing her short attention span in such a time of need. Her guildmate could have been in danger for all she knew! "Right we need to go find her!" Now that her mind had once more focused on Allison, Venir took the opportunity to glance towards the tracks in the snow where Allison had been previously fighting.

It was in that time span that music filled her ears. "Eh?" She seemed confused as to why he was playing music, unless it was to alert Allison if she was in the vicinity. Yet that also meant that he was alerting their presence to any other enemies that might lurk inside of the woods. It was then that he abruptly took off leaving both Venir and Ignite in the snow. Before Venir could even consider taking off after Elyx, the phoenix woman spoke to her once more, her words sending a painful twinge through her heart. If one person didn't know how old they were it was Venir but she kept her thoughts to herself, "Is that so?" She gave a small smile as she took the job description and glanced it over, "It would appear that we are on the same job." She seemed rather irritated not at the pair that had joined them but rather at the client. Why would they hire two pairs of mages to find the same thing? One simple horse could not have been that elusive or was he getting some kick out of watching them scramble around like idiots?

The sudden rustling of the bushes caught Venirs ear, only to hear Elyx's shout right after it. "Oh no!" So much for that rustling being Allison playing a practical joke on them. "Duck!" Venir shouted in turn pointing her staff in the direction of Elyx, "Shoot!" She fired her last 8 shots towards the rustling bush, a familiar sounding whimper emanating from the bush. However, the whimpers fell silent and growls took its place as wolves stalked out from between the tree's and bushes, more than there were before.

"I guess there's more than one pack in these woods. Well, at least it's just wolves right?"

Venir held her staff out, one hand already slipping into her card holster ready to dig out another card at a moments notice. Much to Venir's dismay, things often times did not go as she said. Another sound came from the forest but this time it was much louder, the ground trembled with each step, and Venir swore she heard the cracking and falling of the tree's. Birds flew up out of the tree line, flying into the clearing and beyond just as two large figures began to show through the shadows of the tree's.

    "Oh my goodness...."

The enemies did not look like they were going to leave the boy alone anytime soon, regardless of how many steps that he is taking back to avoid triggering them. A command came from the girl in a loud and abrupt enough sort of way, this being done allowed him to jumped forward and hit his chest against the ground. The wolf jumped up, only to take firepower from the back. Elyx's best guess was the one who called out to him. Looking forward, no more enemies seemed to be there, so in a push up sort of position, he sprung himself back up onto his feet. All right, lets take them all on! Elyx exclaimed, he battle command echoing before the rumbling began. His call for war alerted quite the enemies that were heading for them, dark shadows pushing their ways through even the trees themselves. They seemed to be making a huge effort to do that however, if that were the case, handling them hopefully wouldn't be too hard either. You both ready for quite the fun? The Violinist asked before looking over to Ignite and the girl. The She Phoenix placed her right fist inside her cupped left hand, then pressed hard to the point in which heavy amounts of crackling can be heard. Ignite was always fired up for combat, and now that worthy opponents are ready to face her, she was even more excited. The Violinist couldn't quite understand how the girl would feel about this though, her personality has not been revealed to him much yet. Now that he thought about it, why was she and Allison in the forest anyways by themselves?

Ignite in the meantime took a small moment to turn her head to Venir, having knowledge of her name now. Venir Rulush, that name sounds fun to say. My name is Ignite Rosella, and the idiot with the Violin is Elyx Reiaki. She explained with a smile on her a face before putting her hands together, as if doing prayer. Upon impact however, her hands began to flow with flames bursting from each hand, then she put her hands back down to her side, the flames ready to cut through. The shadows were now here, the time to strike was now. Watch how we get this done. Elyx! I want to do the Crashing Firewall! Ignite exclaimed, looking over to the boy for a response. The Violinist turned his head to the side, his face into a competitive grin now. That was one of his favorite moves, it should wipe out these things instantly if they did this just right. The bow hit the strings of the Violin as the Wind began to be manipulated again. This time, at quite a far distance away, it might have reached it's limit in 50 meters in distance. Ignite in the meantime ran towards where the shadows were located, then disappeared behind the bushes. Finall, the boy released his bow from the strings once he realized the spell was ready to cast. A white circle of light shot out from the sides of the instrument, and two heavily spinning waves of wind were on the sides of the shadows. As it swayed left and right without balance, it was soon becoming engulfed with fire from below. The She Phoenix was placing her fire in his spell, now instead of crashing winds, it should be crashing flames now. Once the fire reached the top of the waves, they began to slowly fall down, the earth rumbling in the process. It was a slow process, but the results were soon to come in within a few seconds.

Finally... The waves landed on top, heavy flames spinning like a tornado, then... Impact into explosion. Boom... That might have knocked out everything for the next few miles.

"T-Take them all on!?" She questioned back, somewhat unsure but she would without a doubt try her best. If it was just wolves she wouldn't mind, she knew how to deal with the canines even though most of the overgrown wolves were larger than herself. It was the creatures that caused the earth to tremble with each step that made her question the idea of taking them all on at once. By nature Venir was adventurous, not easily deterred, but she didn't exactly find much enjoyment in combat. Her dislike for combat was bearable but combat against things that could just step on her without a second thought was another story. "They're too big." Ran through her head but the petite girl instead said, "Let's do this!" She raised the winged staff towards the rumbling tree's, what looked like over sized boars were finally coming into view. Briefly, she ran through every possible attack that she could think of that might so much as scratch those creatures. She could summon her sword but she was certain that the blade would feel like nothing more than a needle to them.

The Phoenix by the name of Ignite caught her attention, enough for her to make a mental note of both of their names so that she wouldn't forget them, again. "Right then what-" Before the petite blonde could even so much as ask a question, a sudden feeling of warmth overtook her. "F-Fire." She watched wide eyed, never having seen someone use fire magic like that before. Yet her fascination at the fire that Ignite had produced was soon overshadowed by the violinist. Magic was always an interesting subject to Venir, she was always curious to see what others had, often questioning people on their magic after first meeting them. She was unsure as to where that stemmed from, she assumed it was from something she couldn't remember. A sudden blast of heat, much more than from the flames that Ignite had produced earlier, snapped Venir out of her thoughts.

Though the attack was not directed towards her, she knew that it would have hurt, and the blast force alone was enough to knock her upon her bottom. "Ow." She slowly opened her crimson eyes to stare at the burning remains of the forest. "I really hope that horse wasn't in there....Or Allison...."But she would have sensed her guild mates magical presence so Allison potentially getting caught up in that blast was out of the question. Other than clear out the boars, and wolves the blast of fire had also managed to warm up the previously chilled mage. Her energy renewed now that her strength wasn't being sapped by the bitter cold, and the boars blasted to smithereens, all appeared well. With the exception of the still missing Allison of course. "That was so cool!" Venir chirped as she rushed towards them, her childish form seemed to be accompanied with more of a childish personality that her adult form lacked. Glancing once more to the still smoking tree's Venir instead pointed to the other side of the forest, the side that was luckily not caught in inferno. "Let's try searching this way?" She inquired unaware of the mischievous dangers that might be lurking within that side of the forest.

The duet is over, the performance was a success without a single flaw. The dynamics, the harmonics, intonation, all of that were in key with the piece. Ignite played her part successfully, the scene caught on even more fire. There was still one concern though that the both of them should consider. Elyx turned his head towards Venir, the Violinist smiling as he ended up receiving praise before being approached. He placed his hand on her head with a smile on his face before ruffling it a little, then left it alone and placed his hands by his sides. Thanks! Glad you like the performance! Though... Did that hurt you though? It was a pretty huge wave after all. The boy asked as he tilted his head to the side. If there was any damage, he was ready to heal his partner before the both of them would continue. Regardless however, they would still have to continue anyways. Just... Not without the She Phoenix part of the duet. Elyx turned his body towards the direction in which the spell had occurred. Ignite! Are you there!? The boy called out, cupping both of his hands as if holding a football, but leaving a little space so that his voice would have some sort of area to exit. By doing this, his voice echoed throughout the fray, enhancing the chances of receiving a reply. However, as usual, the She Phoenix was able to impress him by just being herself. Wind flows were spinning incorrectly behind him, the movement too usual to be unoccupied. The Violinist turned his back around to see Ignite standing there, waving happily.

You certainly did miss me while I was gone now didn't you? She teased happily before walking up to the boy and punching his shoulder, causing him to stumble to the side a bit. Little did she know her strength, a Phoenix Bird she was after all. After regaining his balance, he turned over towards when Venir was suggesting to go. What was located towards that area was unfortunately unknown to him. He... Never actually had gone here before. His face pasted an embarrassed facial expression as he put his hand behind his head, scratching it awkwardly with a bit of shame. To be honest with you, your guess is probably better than mine. I have never been here before. He explained before putting his hands inside his knapsack to pull out his Violin once again. But I can tell you this, nothing will be impossible to take care of provided we work as a team. We'll find the horse and find Allison as well if we search. With your knowledge and strength and our... Er... Strength, we should be able to kill two birds with one stone! The by exclaimed before happily jumping into the air, the hand with a Violin bow clenched into a fist as he was in the air. His light brown eyes were hidden under his eyelids as well, the joy of taking on new challenges, only to freeze in the air and for his eyes to be dots as he realized a small mistake. Heh... Maybe I could have said a different phrase...

The pat on the head and the ruffle of her platinum locks only served to bring a smile to her face. A pat on the head was a precious thing to the little mage regardless of if she was in her child or adult form. Straightening out her hair afterwards making sure her pigtails were just right she could only watch as Elyx and Ignite had reunited. The two made for an interesting pair to watch but in combat that seemed to make a lethal combination. "One day Alyia and I will be like that." The little mage promised herself before taking note of Elyx's embarrassed visage. "Oh I haven't really either." She quickly added hoping to make the violinist feel better. She lived in the Phoenix Mountains at the Eclipse Soul guildhall, and while Venir prided herself on knowing a good chunk of the mountains there were places that even she didn't know. The Phoenix Mountains was a vast mountain range, filled with more creatures and people than many would ever discover.

Still, this region wasn't exactly far from her guild. "Right! We might be lost for a bit but if we'll get attacked we'll be okay! I mean if these woods are anything like the ones by home then I'm sure it'll be fine." She was already leading the way towards the edge of the unaffected woods. "I mean the wolves here are a little more aggressive than the ones by the guild." She sounded almost confident as if she had to step up to the plate and lead the two, "Although, the one's we got around the guild are much bigger like the size of a horse." Or perhaps she let the small bit of praise get to her head, it wasn't often that she was praised by someone who was not in her guild. "And we don't really have those giant boars either...."Venir was a bit of a rambler, liking to fill gaps in conversation with meaningless words, she disliked silence and fought it every chance she got. By now the two had entered the woods, the tree's seemed to be much denser on the side. At times it felt as if they were leaning in closer and closer to the mages. "But don't worry I'm sure we'll be-" Cut off mid sentence Venir tripped over a root, one she swore was not these before, and smacked her face right into the forest floor.

    "Owwwww."

She sat up rubbing at her nose, and wiping away the little tears that had formed in the corners of her ruby gems. "Where'd that root come from?" She looked at the root that her foot was still caught in rather skeptically. She swore that she would have saw that earlier, there was no way she would have missed that right? Upon further inspection of the root there seemed to be no foul play involved. "Weird." She shuddered still upon the ground as she pulled her leg away from the tree root. She got the feeling that they were being watched but there was not a creature in sight or if there was then they were awfully good at hiding.

Post by King Elyx 18th September 2015, 6:25 pm

Whoa, are you okay? The Violinist asked as he knelt onto his knee. It seemed that the poor girl had tripped on a root. It wasn't done in such a painful way though, it was rather humorous provided one didn't witness the scene in front of their eyes. It was a good thing that the boy didn't find it funny and laugh though, he was about to share the same fate as well. The thing was, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Venir was the first one, Elyx was the second one, as his right foot was caught on the root and tripped face forward. Ignite was beginning to think that this was a game, and decided to mimic the both of them. Oh! My turn! My turn! The She Phoenix exclaimed happily before having her left foot caught in the roots, and just like the both of them, she fell face first into the ground as well. It was probably not the best of moments for her. Ow... Elyx, I don't like this game! A complain, it was clear that her ignoarance was still playing a huge part in her brain. That was a part he would have to teach her next in life, a tough lesson was well. Common sense, or what humans believed to be common sense. First things first, falling was not fun at all, it wasn't a game, or done on purpose at all. Ignite... I'm sorry to break the bad news to you, but you're an idiot you know. Elyx said as he got up from the ground after Venir did got up as well. With that, he offered his hand down towards the She Phoenix so that he would be able to pull her up from off the ground. Ignite took the hand without giving it a second though, and she was instantly hopping off of the ground, dirt on her face.

Look at you! You are a mess! The boy exclaimed before placing his palm on her face and wiping the dirt off, making sure to not miss any visible mark. In the meantime, the She Phoenix laughed with her eyes closed. It was a fun little moment for her, how he made the Violinist stress over the small details just to make her life a little easier. The both of them had their small moment before the She Phoenix then looked to Venir. Hey Venir, what do you say w- A cutoff from Elyx. Wait, Venir? Elyx asked before tilting his head to the side. A small flashback moment back at the ball, in which he bumped into a lady, who seemed to be stressing out as badly as he was back then. The same first name... Could this girl possibly be...? If so, how did she change her appearance to look like a child? Did it ever hurt to ask questions? You're last name wouldn't happen to be... Rulush, would it? Venir Rulush if I remembered correctly. The boy asked. If he was wrong, that would probably create an awkward moment. He just answered back to his own statement, yes, sometimes it did hurt to ask.

    Close your eyes
    give me your hand

"Y-Yeah I think so that was just unexpected-"

She rubbed away at the tears and any stray pieces of dirt or snow that might have decorated her face. By the time she had rubbed what little debris there was away, Venir had turned her red gaze just in time to see Elyx causing her sentence to be cut short rather abruptly. "Ah!" She squeaked, apparently the other mage had made the same mistake as her on perhaps the exact same tree root, though she swore it wasn't that far over... For a brief moment Venir's rather short life flashed through her eyes, and out of instinct she rolled out of the way. Elyx wasn't exactly large in fact, if Venir was in her more adult form she was certain that it wouldn't hurt but as a petite young girl? She'd rather not risk anything which is why she moved out of the way and let Elyx hit the cold, and rather hard ground. However, Ignite seemed quick to follow in their footsteps, and now the three of them sat upon the ground like a bunch of clumsy idiots. Something that just made Venir giggle despite the strangeness of it all. Especially, when Ignite's face came back muddy, and she complained about their "game" not being very fun.

Her peals of laughter finally died down when Ignite had addressed her, gaining the blonde's attention. Before the question could even be asked Elyx had cut the phoenix off causing Venir's gaze to shift to him, "Hm?" Her head tilting to the side as she glanced between the two. "Yeah Venir RuLush, we've met before at the ball silly!" She crossed her arms over her chest somewhat confused as to why he was inquiring about her last name until it clicked. When they had met at the ball, Venir was not in the same state she was in now. Her older form with white locks, a jagged scar, and a body that was not that of a childs. Her palm struck with her forehead at her realization. "Sorry!" She apologized standing up to her feet and holding a palm out to him, while her other palm slipped down her the front of her dress until grasped an amulet and pulled it out. She dangled the ruby gem, attached to a silver chain up so that Elyx could see it. "This is gonna sound confusing but you see I actually have no idea how old I am well, actually I mean the form we first met in is supposed to be my true age but as far as I can remember I've always been in this body..."She scratched at the back of her platinum locks rather awkwardly until she realized her explanation was rather jumbled and was still missing a rather vital part. "Long story short I don't really remember much except for the last year or so of being in ES, I've always been in this form until I bought this time turner at a magic shop and I guess it sort of screwed with my age or some sort of spell that was placed on me to change my appearance into that of a kid. So my true form is the white haired, scary lady but I prefer this one." She seemed uncomfortable of the uncertainty that was her past and her future. Luckily, she didn't get much of a chance to dwell on it as some of the bushes nearby rustled with life.

Do you feel my heart beating?
