Heat cannot be separated from fire, or beauty from The finite.
At first glance fighting the large ice creatures while up on a ledge might not have been the best choice. However, the two slayers had a distinct advantage from up above as the creatures none to gracefully clambered up the side of the mountain. "I thought I was a bad climber." She at the least didn't tear out chunks of ice while she made her way up. Venir couldn't help but roll her eyes at her partner, "Wasn't planning on it." Another irritated huff of air, that fanned her golden bangs, and Venir was peering over the cliffs edge. She kept her boots firmly planted into the ground beneath her, though there was plenty of distance between herself and the ledge. "Only two huh?" The lacrima in her belly twitched in agitation, what did he not think she could handle more? However, her head through the cold induced angry haze managed to be somewhat thankful.
The two ice creatures that had so graciously been bestowed upon her, didn't seem any more thrilled about her as she was about them. "Good we both don't like each other." She glanced to the side to see just what exactly his so called plan was, certainly he didn't mean to actually fight from such a small ledge? She watched only for a moment before her own ice creatures were upon her. It was close enough that its head was over the ledge, rows upon rows of icy teeth snapped at her, and let out a growl. Never one to be shown up, Venir sucked in a deep breath of air, pausing for a moment to feel the frozen air fill her lungs. Poised still like a statue, her chest puffed out as that frozen air warmed, and that warmth filled her chest. "Flame Goddesses Bellow!" A torrent of dark flames left her, hitting the first ice creature directly, causing it to fall back, and off of the cliff. On its way down it hit the second ice creature, taking a chunk off of that creature as well. Finally, it hit the cold hard ground below it and shattered into countless pieces. "Ha! Take that!" She cheered throwing a fist into the air in victory, satisfied in a deep, primal sort of way.
Her body had warmed some, but not completely. Most of her extremities were still numb. Fingers and toes were tingling, but her face was still warm from the recent blast of flames that had escaped her lips. Letting out another large breath of air, she peered over the side once more to see the last ice creature still attempting to climb up the side of the mountain. It had lost the large ice wings to the previous creatures fall, but it still had all its limbs which meant that it could still climb. Not that it would be able to much longer.
"Flame Goddesses Divine Edge."
She held the middle and index fingers of her right hand together, dark flames gathering on that hand. Any numbness in that hand quickly melted away, a small smirk finally forming upon her lips. She swiped her fingers to the right, as if she was slashing an invisible blade. Where her finger had traveled through the air, more dark flames were produced. Then the line of dark flames went down the mountain, burning, and melting whatever they touched including the creature below. Her aim was just right, burning through the creatures limbs so that it would not be climbing up the mountain again, and instead it fell to join its brothers shattered fate.
