    Info:

A week or two had passed from the Timara's death, and Almyra, while still upset, felt that she could get some more closure by visiting her sister's grave to pay proper respects to her. She hadn't really gotten that chance after she was cast out from the funeral and sent packing from her rather... desperate actions. She was still determined to find some way to bring her back, but for now, she wanted to apologize to the people of her village, and pay proper respects to her deceased sister. Luckily, access to an airship meant relatively fast and easy travel. At altitude, the air temperature wasn't so bad, though the sunlight itself was still scorching, but the shadow of the balloon helped to avert it, that or simply staying below decks, but Almy preferred to be up high. To her, at least, vast desert was quite beautiful at altitude. With how relatively flat it was, several villages could be seen at once. The autopilot was already taking them to her home. There was a smile on her face, though it was different from her usual one, the kind that one would have as they recalled a bittersweet memory. It was exactly how she felt at the moment: bittersweet. Happy to see her home again, but doubted she would receive much of a welcome. Still, she felt that she had to do it.

They were making their approach to the village now, but something seemed... off. Usually there were at least a few of the village warriors outside to keep order (though they were hardly necessary), and to scare off any sort of creatures that may wander in and discourage bandit raids, but she couldn't see anyone from this distance. The whole village seemed to be empty. Her smile faded as she watched the village they were approaching with increasing concern. "Ana?" She called out to her friend. "We're almost there. Something seems wrong." She looked back to the village and hugged her doll nervously.

As they neared the landing point, Almyra caught sight of the first body, then the next. There were a few strewn about, but it seemed that the vultures had already got to work on them. The doors to houses were opened, windows shattered, the only place remaining fully undisturbed was her sister's old house, likely from the wards on it still remaining, that and the fact that no one would want to mess with the house of a powerful mage, even a dead one, at least not in this country. The second they were low enough for her to get off, Almy jumped from the ship and ran about the village. "Hello? Is there anyone here?!?" She cried out repeatedly, desperately. First her sister, now her entire home? The village was under the protection of the powerful Blue Skies clan, who would dare to attack it? It was only when she reached the house of the village chief that she saw the mark of the Red Sand Bandits. She took the flag hanging from the doorway and fell to her knees, staring at it, trembling. There were surely survivors, hostages. Using George they could find the tracks, the hideout, and save them. Yes... that's what they'd do. Fighting back tears, Almy's hand glowed green for a moment and the flag crumbled to dust. "Ana... please... help me find them... I need to find anyone who's still alive." She pleaded, her voice wavering. Now was not the time for sadness, though. She had to save her village.

Someone wanted to raid stuff while Anastasia was around?  Oh hell no!  Not on Ana's watch!  If anyone does any raiding, it will be Anastasia!  Anastasia is the sky pirate around here!  Anastasia stood on the deck while the autopilot took care of the navigation.  The warm wind blew through her long blonde hair as she was dressed in her battle outfit.  The desert landscape was quite beautiful, even if the place wasn't filled with lush vegetation or water everywhere.

Her attention was diverted from Almyra's voice calling out to her.  There was quite a bit of concern in Almyra's voice, causing Anastasia to tilt her head with an equally troubled look on her face.  This wasn't normal for Almyra to be so troubled; so what Almyra had noticed must have been terrible.  Turning her head to see Almyra and offering a smile, Anastasia walked up to her and looked down towards the village to see it appearing rather bare.  "Yeah, you're right, Almy.  Something isn't right here," she confirmed Almyra's suspicions.

Anastasia simply spoke up.  "George, land us a kilometer away from that town.  Bring us in quietly," she stated before the on-board computer responded with "Compliance."  Anastasia turned to look towards Almyra and gave her a hug as they were close enough to see the bodies laid out everywhere.  It was at this point that George decided to finally land.  While she did say to land them a kilometer away, George took it upon itself to land just outside of the village.  Anastasia released Almyra as she jumped off of George.  Something was, indeed troubling her.

Anastasia whistled, having Sasha jump up onto the deck with her.  Anastasia boarded the large creature before it jumped out of the airship moments before it made it's landing.  She rode on the creature, trotting along behind Almyra as she went inwards through the dilapidated village.  Everything was destroyed; the aftermath of a giant raid.  Anastasia wouldn't do this kind of raid, no.  This wasn't the kind of raid she would have done at all.

The stench of death lingered in the air, forcing Anastasia to cover her nose.  The creature she boarded on made complaints about the foul stench and thus, shook her off before returning to George.  Even this foul odor was too much for her guardian creature.  Seems like her and Almyra were alone on this one.  Anastasia continued to follow after Almyra until they got to the Chief's house where the Red Sands Bandits' banner was raised.  Piles of dead bodies were gathered at the Chief's house.

A feeling of dread came over Anastasia before Almyra broke down and fell to the ground.  Why would anyone do something so awful like this?  And how dare anyone make Almyra cry?  Gritting her teeth, Anastasia had a white light surround her before a purple armor enveloped her body.  She set her Heads Up Display on full-scan, trying to find any life signatures.  She found several signatures that were the vultures and buzzards flying around and picking at the bones of the dead before a single indication appeared within the large pile of dead bodies.  Anastasia took a deep breath inwards before pointing in towards the pile of dead bodies.

"Almyra, there's a life signature inside of that pile," she stated before quickly running towards the pile and began to move the dead bodies away from the single life signature.

~This is awful.  Why would anyone do something like this?  What did this small village have that they wanted so much?~ Anastasia thought to herself.  She had made a decision; and regardless of what Almyra wants, she wants to wipe out these bandits - every single one of them.

Almyra perked up when she heard Anastasia say there was something still alive amidst the bodies. She rushed over to help move them, not knowing where, or what the survivor was, but she still wanted to save as many as she could. They moved several bodies out of the way only to find... a cat. Not a person, but a cat. How it actually got into the pile, she wasn't sure, but it seemed to be okay, if frightened. It was probably with its owner as he or she was buried. Almy's eyes widened a bit as she reached forward to pick it up gingerly. She hugged it to her chest and gently pet the meowing cat. She whispered to it quietly in her native tongue, hoping to calm it down a bit. Hopefully someone would be willing to take it once they found the survivors. In the meantime, she would take it onto George to keep it safe.

With the cat in her arms, Almyra started to walk back to George. "Come on Ana. We have to find where they went. We should be able to see tracks or some sign of them from the air. They were here recently enough that the sand hasn't claimed their tracks yet." She said, starting to pick up the pace. She took her cloak and wrapped up the cat with her to make sure it wasn't overheating or anything. Once on board she would put it in her room with some food and water. There was nothing she could do for the fallen, but at least she could help the poor feline and find the survivors that had been taken by the bandits. She would stop this menace with Ana's help. She needed to. She didn't care that she had been thrown out of the village, it was still her home, and she still cared for them. She had to do this not just for the people of her village, but for her sister, to honor Timara's memory of helping the village and redeem herself for her past transgressions.

The scans have showed a living creature within the large pile of bodies, causing Almyra to approach it.  Anastasia locked-on her missiles to the pile as Almyra approached and pulled out a kitten.  With this, Anastasia's weapon relaxed before the girl took the kitten to the ship.  Anastasia bit her lower lip and looked around.  While it was emotional to find a kitten in a pile of dead bodies, it was her job to keep the two of them safe while in hostile territory.  Almyra took the kitten back to George with Anastasia keeping an eye out for any hostile personnel.

As the two boarded the ship, Anastasia cleared her throat and spoke into the microphone of her armor.  "What happened here was terrible.  Did you know anybody here?" she asked before prompting.  "Lift her up and look for tracks.  The targets should be nearby.  Find their location and go to it," she said to the ship.  "Compliance," stated the artificial intelligence as the aircraft began to take off vertically.

"Tracks have been spotted," the artificial intelligence stated before plotting a course to the northward.  "We are heading to a large cave in that direction.  Estimated time of arrival will be 15 minutes," the computer finally stated.

"Land us right outside the cave, they'll most likely be inside, because why not right?" she said before walking over to Almyra for a moment and hugging her and the kitten gently.  Even while in this suit, she is capable of tactile movements and making certain her movements can be as gentle as possible if the need arises.

"Don't worry, Almy, we'll find these guys and get rid of them.  We can make this quick or as painful as possible for them," she stated as the ship began it's forward movement towards the cavern within the desert.  Thankfully, this time, they would be able to move faster than they did the first time they arrived here.

Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana] Empty Re: Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana]

Post by Almyra Bys 5th March 2016, 9:35 pm

Almyra was currently fighting off tears as she entered her room with the kitten, and Ana following closely behind her. Ana asked if she knew anyone in the village. Almy's response was a solemn nod. "This place... is my home. I knew many of the people here, and loved them all even if they were afraid of me for being a mage." She said. It was true. The villagers were always weary of her and her sister, moreso of Almyra, since her magic was far stranger than her sisters, and because she did less to directly help the village. They all respected her, at least until Timara's funeral, but generally kept their distance. Still, she loved them all despite this. She understood that people were afraid of things they did not understand, and didn't hold it against them.

She heard Ana order the ship to look for and follow tracks. Their ETA was 15 minutes. She felt Ana's armored arms wrap around her. She closed her eyes and leaned her head on Ana's chest, hugging the kitten protectively. She would stay like that for as long as Ana hugged her, then put the kitten down on the bed, fetch it some food and water, and ready herself for a fight. Upon reaching the entrance to the cave, Almyra would wordlessly leave the ship and proceed inside, trying to be as stealthy as she could. She cared less about killing the raiders, more about helping the people, so she would prefer to locate and rescue them. Ana could handle the enemies, for the most part. Still, if she was spotted, she would be more than willing to fight.

Post by Anastasia Isayev 6th March 2016, 2:27 am

Anastasia thought for a moment, her face in a grimaced upon hearing Almyra mention that this was her home.  Her heart ached for Almyra.  The thought of coming home after being shunned off as a monster to see everyone butchered must have been heart wrenching.  The door to the cargo bay opened up with Almyra quickly spilling out of the ship and right into the caverns.  "I wish you the best of luck finding survivors, Almyra," she said before the aircraft finished touching down.

"You do that, and I will handle all of these scrubs," she stated before stepping off of the aircraft.  "If you need my help, Almyra, get my attention and I'll come help you out," she said to herself before stepping off with George evacuating the area shortly after.  She was encountered by a large group of men, 25 of them to be exact.  Some of them seemed to be hovering near the direction that Almyra was heading towards.  It was now that she needed to make a distraction.

"Hey, assholes!" she said as she increased the volume on the speakers of her armor.  "Yeah, all of you assholes right there.  You guys are a bunch of morons who can't hit the broadside of a barn!" she said as the men that were walking in the direction that Almy was going to stopped dead in their tracks and turned to look towards the purple clad woman.

"Come get me losers!  If you beat me up, I'll let you all have your way with me!" she shouted out.  Indeed, this caught all 25 of their attention as they all gathered in a group.  With a smirk, Anastasia aimed the shoulder mounted rocket launcher towards a group of them and sent out single missile.  Knowing what it was, the men began to scatter.  However, as smart as the missile was, it followed the man with the largest number of followers before BOOOM!

A large explosion completely vaporized a group of the men.  Oh, and the anger and rage she just gathered.  "Crap," she said as the men started to regain their composure, minus a few of them, and began to arm themselves.  Flying upwards, Anastasia took shelter upon the upper lip of the cave that Almyra went into.  "Good luck, Almy and be safe, friend," she whispered to herself.  After she said that, the bandits began to open fire, causing Anastasia to take small plinks to her armor and her trying to avoid as many bullets as she can.

Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana] Empty Re: Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana]

Post by Almyra Bys 6th March 2016, 10:24 pm

Ana distracted the raiders near the entrance to the cave quite well with her insults and offering her body to them if they could beat her. Almy rushed off deeper into the cave as the fight was starting. She heard an explosion as Ana fired off a rocket at them, killing a fair number, no doubt. She made her way deeper inside, spotting a few more bandits who were heading Ana's way after hearing the explosion. She managed to find a place to hide from them as they passed bye. She watched ten foot brutes of men pass by and shivered a bit, worried for Anastasia's safety as another group of 10 gunmen also passed her by. She hoped that that was all of them and that she could get the remaining townspeople out of this place before that had to happen. As she made her way in deeper, she encountered a cage containing some of the villagers, mostly young women. One of them looked up at the cloaked girl, her eyes wide. "You... you're Lady Timara's sister... you came back to save us... even after how we treated you?" Almyra gave her a comforting smile and nod as she took hold of the lock to the cage. With her usual green fire, the lock rusted away to dust in her hand, leaving the cage unlocked. "Where are the others?" She asked of the woman who was not scared into silence. "The man... the leader of them... he took them out into the canyon the cave leads to... He said he wished for the sun of day and cold of night to break them. A-and that he didn't want us pretty things to be spoiled by that... t-that he and his men would break us personally." The girl shivered. Almy opened the door and gave her a hug. "It's alright. I'm here with a friend to save you." She said "Just find somewhere to hide, I'll save the others." The girl nodded and let go before leading the others out of the cage. "Thank you... for everything." They ran off to hide while Almyra went deeper. By the time she came to the canyon, the other raiders she had seen had reached Ana's position.

She looked about and saw cages containing the rest of the villagers throughout the small canyon. The scorching rays of the sun had grown less painful as it was now setting, leaving the sands colored a vibrant red. Then she saw him, the bandit leader laughing as his hawk fluttered about in one of the cages, clawing away at some of the poor villagers. Almy's fists clenched. This was it... this was him, the one responsible for all the carnage. She approached, gathering a ball of energy in her hand before flinging it at the distracted man. It collided with him, tearing away at his flesh. He let out a growl of pain as he turned to face the girl. He grinned sadistically, "So this is what happened to Lady Timara's whelp of a sister. That hurt, but you'll have to do better if you actually want to help your little friends." He flung back a section of his cloak to draw a kilij. "I'm surprised someone as... small as you is brave enough to challenge me. It'll be fun to break you." The falcon flew out from the cage and he closed it, locking it again as he began to walk towards Almy. The girl was shaking now. She had never actually fought on her own before. She had always had her friends backing her up, but now that was no more. "Let's make sure you don't have any friends coming, shall we?" He said, pointing at the rock face. With a blast of sound, the rock was destabilized, collapsing the exit to the canyon. The sky started to darken a bit. A sandstorm was coming. Almy wanted to end this before they were all caught up in it.

She heard a high-pitched ringing as the man approached her. The sound was coming from his blade. Almyra was able to easily figure out what he was doing with it. By channeling his sound magic through it, he made his bade vibrate at an extreme rate in order to destabilize the molecular bonds of whatever he was cutting. With that, the blade would probably cut through bone, perhaps even metal like butter. "You know... I heard you act a lot like a child. I guess your magic attests to that. It feels pretty damn cruel." He grinned at her. "But I think I can beat that. We both know how cruel kids can be, and I'm very in touch with my inner child." Almyra readied herself for battle with the fiend as he started to charge towards her.

Anastasia started to breath heavily as the sheer number of forces began to pour out through the cave.  It seemed that enticing lonely men with just the mere thought of touching one's body was enough to have them all pour out from the wood work.  Perhaps her promise of giving them something good to play with was too big of a prize.  Either way, her distraction to keep Almyra out of their line of sight worked.  "Good luck, Almyra," she said to herself before she came under heavy fire from below.

"I really should have just shown them my breasts and got it over with.  The regrets," she said while the missile launcher continued to reload.  She could shoot another one of the missiles right now, but she also wanted to give Almyra a chance to get further into the cave so she was safe from any potential fallout.  Anastasia poked her head out from the lip of the cave only to receive a bullet to her helmet.  It was a graze, but it was enough to let her know that they were still there and they still wanted Anastasia to keep her end of the bargain.

It was then that she heard thundrous booms coming from directly under her.  Her eyes widen as she felt the vibration of each of those heavy steps vibrate from below, up the cave and over to her.  Something that steps like that must be massive!  The closer the footsteps came, the more and more she regretted making that promise.  She gulped heavily and pre-positioned her rockets for maximum efficiency.

"Yeah!  Dook and Doot have arrived!  They'll get that little fly down and we'll have our way with her!" shouted one of the bandits before they all stopped for a moment and laughed.  It as at this moment that Anastasia poked her head out from the lip of the cave and shot a single rocket in the direction of the two titanic men.  A massive explosion blew out, disintegrating the man that shouted as well as a few others around them, leaving the hulking behemoths standing still.

Afterward, Anastasia leaned back and cleared her throat.  "Crap!  That didn't do enough?  What the hell are these guys made of?  Titanium?" she wondered before the hellfire of bullets continued.  She dismissed her Plasma Graspers, needing them for some other time.  Right now wasn't the right time to deal with that.  Right now, she has to deal with the little morons before dealing with the massive brutes.

It was just then that a large rumbling was felt by Anastasia; as if part of the cave collapsed. "Almy!" Anastasia shouted, but wasn't able to move due to being almost literally pinned down by enemy fire.

Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana] Empty Re: Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana]

Post by Almyra Bys 7th March 2016, 9:23 pm

Almyra's eyes widened as the bandit leader charged at her. She ducked at the last second to avoid the strike and reached out, her fists enveloped in the green flames of chaos. They collided with his side, penetrating the armor somewhat, but it seemed that his armor had powerful enchantments on it to grant increased protection from magic, as well as protect it from magic damaging it. Her own spells did nothing to it. The growl of pain from him indicated that her magic did penetrate it somewhat at least. She heard the snap of the man's cloak as he turned briskly, swinging the kilij at her face. Her view was somewhat obscured by the piece of cloth that preceded it. She was only narrowly able to avoid the singing blade cutting through her head. Still, she felt it cut across her face, leaving her with a large gash on her left cheek. She let out a small yelp of pain and staggered backwards. Trying to get away from her opponent.

The bandit leader chuckled. He stood there a moment, not attacking her. Almy stared back, analyzing him. She was not a skilled fighter, but she had to defeat him. She fought not out of lust for revenge, but out of love. Love for the people of her village. She had to protect them. She drew her survival knife now, whatever good that would do. She fired off another ball of energy at her opponent, who dodged it with ease as she followed up with the knife. With a single cut, the singing kilij severed the blade from he knife. He swung upwards now, cutting a painful gash up Almyra's stomach and chest as she tried to dodge back. "Come on now. How about you give me a challenge?" He taunted. "Give me a reason to really hurt you." She was panting now, panicked. Her opponent was just playing with her. She didn't want to do this, but she had no choice. She was going to go all out with her magic. Her hands, eyes, and entire body began to glow with her magic. Her body was enveloped in her green fire.  "Now it looks like you're going to make this fun." He commented, grinning at the thought of a good fight with another mage. It was rare one got this opportunity in Desierto.

    Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana] D7a

Silently, Almyra rushed forward. No battle cry or anything of the like. She could read his movements much better now, empowered by Amor Fati. Her confidence was boosted now, knowing that, should he attack her, her aura would bring harm to him. She also noticed some wear appearing on his blade from her entropic body. With her enhanced reactions and predictive capabilities, she was able to land a hit or two with her Degrading Blows. He countered, but her enhanced reactions allowed her to avoid the strikes. He let out a hiss of pain as he was attacked by her aura.

Post by Anastasia Isayev 8th March 2016, 4:28 pm

Anastasia took a deep breath outward.  If she could just take out the gunners, the other people won't be able to touch her.  However, this would cause quite a problem because they would eventually get bored and head towards Almyra.  This has grown to be quite the pickle.  What to do, what to do?  That's right!  But right now wasn't the right time!  Pre-aiming her missiles, she poked her head out from the emplacement that she dug into and launched yet another missile.  All the while, her helmet took a flurry of bullets from the gunners, causing her Chaser Armor to go into critical condition.

"Crap!" she shouted before retaking her position, ducked below the lip of the cave entrance.  Red lights flashed in her HUD indicating massive damage was dealt to her armor.  With a short pause, her armor began to glow a bright green color before most of the damage vanished, reverting back to a more repaired state.  While it wasn't at 100%, it was in a much better condition than it was when she got shot to hell.

She took another deep breath and poked her head out to witness the gunners being exploded into tiny bits from the Missile exploding into the ground.  As she witnessed the enemies explode, a strange green light surrounded them, re-animating them back into her own personal 'undead' slaves.  The gunners turned towards the bandits and began to shoot them.  Screams of confusion could be heard as the remaining gunners witnessed this and shot the rest of the gunners to death.  But not before some of the zombie gunners turned their weapons towards the still-living and blew some of their brains out.

The two hulking ones grabbed some of the gunners, two-by-two and launched them up towards Anastasia's position with their guns blazing.  Their bullets stopped shot or completely penetrating her armor, putting her armor in another critical state.  With a quick thrust from her jetpack, she moved out of the way, summoning a katana in her hands before cutting down one of the gunners that made their way up to the lip.  She was now in a very precarious situation, having about 10 gunners up with her while the rest remain on the ground with the two hulks.  If she flies, she will most certainly be taken down.

Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana] Empty Re: Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana]

Post by Almyra Bys 8th March 2016, 7:59 pm

Almyra could hear muffled explosions in the distance, likely from Anastasia fighting the rest of the bandits. The woman was a far more capable fighter than Almy. Her magic seemed to actually be focused on combat, unlike Almyra's. Her spells were more her just improvising other uses of her magic than its intended purpose to try to avoid being killed by her opponents, well with the exception of Amor Fati, though that was hardly a spell, more the very core of her magic. The only thing some Chaos Theorists will learn, but being one to need to survive in dangerous areas, Almy took it on herself to learn offensive and defensive spells.

Hopefully Anastasia could handle all those bandits. She may end up needing the warrior woman's help. She rushed, firing off a ball of energy just before she attacked, making him move to dodge it, and open up a brief window for her to hit him with Hand of Change, her degrading blows adding a bit more to the damage. She tried to follow up for a combination, but she found herself launched backwards by a shockwave, which was followed up by a shrill screech, barely actually audible to her, but making her dizzy and disoriented. The bandit stepped forth and took a swing at her. She just managed to duck under it, her aura attacking the man once again. The sword was slowly beginning to rust. With any luck, it would soon vibrate itself apart from his own magic. She struck again, pushing him away as hard as she could. The extended contact from her hands caused some damage to the enchanted armor. Holes began to slowly grow in the leather and rust spots spread across the metal plating. He growled and kicked her in the jaw, sending Almyra sprawling, still dizzy from the sonic attack. "Little bitch. Let's see how you like this."

With a shriek, his falcon dove down on her. The impact knocked her off her feet as the beast raked its tallons and beak across her, leaving bleeding, painful gashes in her arms and across her forehead. She punched at it, her aura and empowered hands rotting away portions of the creature's flesh. It fluttered back away from her before beginning to circle around for another attack. The bandit leader fired off a blast of sound at Almyra, which, thanks to Amor Fati, she was narrowly able to avoid. She clasped her hands together quickly, focusing her magic even harder. With the help of Amor Fati, and a moment of intense concentration, she was able to predict a moment in the future when both the bandit and the falcon would strike. She let out a pulse of energy, which, she knew that at just the right moment would grow into a large blast to drive them back as they struck.

Post by Anastasia Isayev 9th March 2016, 7:34 pm

Anastasia quickly kicked the men that were thrown up to her back down to the ground, causing a couple of the gunners to have both of their legs broken from the fall.  Groans of pain could be heard from down under before she plotted what to do next.

There was a moment of silence as Anastasia checked her ammunition.  While she was backed into a wall, literally, she shouted out towards the raiders.  "Hey, what do you guys get out of hurting innocent people?  At the very least, rob governments or rich people!" she shouted out for a moment to regain her composure.  "What do these poor desert dwellers have to benefit you?  You could at least aim a little higher and steal from a military vessel, ya know?" she asked before clearing her throat.  A bright white light appeared directly next to her in the form of Kevin, her CC-9 droid.  It bleeped and blooped for a moment only to get gunfire as a response to her question.

"Kevin, begin a 2 minute fuse and relay the count-down to my heads up display," Anastasia stated before the creation spun around a little bit, annoying at the fact that it's being used as a bomb, yet again, instead of it's main purpose as an investigation droid.  "Yeah, I know, I should just replace you with a salvo of grenades.  Don't worry, your personality automatically saves into my HUD, so you won't forget anything," she said before thinking of something.

"Do this for me and I'll give you some energy snacks after your personality has been transferred," she offered before the droid bounced up and down, elated at the promise offered to it.  Afterward, a 2 minute fuse has been set, sending a countdown to her heads up display.

"Seriously, guys!  What do you benefit from this?" she asked before one of the men said.

"It's a fuckin' desert, eh!  What else do we have here?" he simply responded.  Well, the man did have a point and it wasn't like moving around was as easy for the technologically inferior.

"Fair enough.  How about I offer you something instead of beating me up?"

"It better be your surrender and let the rest of us play around with your body!"

"How about no.  How about if you guys knock it off, I can get you guys a fresh supply of water and food."

"Fuck you!" shouted one of the men back to her, the man being one of the ones that broke their legs upon the fall.  Unfortunately the fall didn't kill any of them.

Anastasia looked down at her heads up display, seeing only 15 seconds left before her Chaser Armor vanished.  "Oh shit!" she said out loud before slowly counting down in her own head and kicked over Kevin when there were 2 seconds remaining.  Kevin fell and landed flat upon the man that shouted out the expletives at her, causing a relatively large explosion, killing nobody else, unfortunately.

Anastasia sucked air between her teeth for a moment before being enveloped by another white light, this time taking the form of a fighter jet!  The roar of the engines could be heard all the way to where Almyra and the boss were.  Anastasia zipped around with the missile pod underneath the aircraft this time.  She flew out for a moment only to slowly turn around and launch a missile towards the smaller enemies.  Sounds of plinking and planking could be heard from their small-arms fire onto her armor.

"A fuckin' fighter jet!  What the hell!?"

Post by Almyra Bys 9th March 2016, 10:12 pm

The marauder and his falcon were closing in on Almyra, it seemed, trying to go in for the kill. Almyra was ready for them, crouched slightly, having recovered from the disorientation of the sonic attack. Just as they were about to reach them, space rippled and burst, sending out a wave of energy that struck both of her opponents. The falcon let out a cry, but continued its flight towards Almyra, but its owner backed off a bit, wary of what else Almyra may have in store. This allowed Almy to focus on the falcon. It struck at her. She dodged under it, allowing her aura to strike out at the creature again before reaching up and grabbing one of its wings. "Sorry." She whispered as her hands tore away at its flesh. With one extra influx of energy from Hand of Change, she ensured the creature's wing was too damaged for it to take flight. She let go and it flopped down onto the ground, squawking and squealing in pain. "Saquir!"

The marauder's face twisted into one of dismay, then hatred as he saw his prized bird flopping on the ground helplessly, its wings torn to shreds. "You're going to pay for that." He said through gritted teeth. "I think I'm going to start off with taking your arms. An eye for an eye, an arm for a wing. Close enough." His blade began to vibrate more intensely. Almyra could hear it from farther away now. The two combatants were too focused on each other to notice the sound of Anastasia's flight. With the intensity that the kilij vibrated at, it would fall to pieces soon, but he didn't care about that. All he wanted to do now was hurt Almyra.

With a massive blast of sustained noise, Almyra was dropped to her knees, covering her ears. Having forced the girl down, the bandit moved in for the kill. He slashed at her with the curved blade, but Almy was able to roll out of the way, her aura increasing the rate at which the blade began to disintegrate. He swung again, this time catching her arm, leaving a deep gash. Almy was bleeding fairly badly, but luckily the combination of her entropic body and her tough constitution seemed to be counteracting the poison on the blade.

With that final slash, the blade had met its match. The vibrations forced it apart, sending shining and rusted pieces alike flying into the air and sand. The bandit tossed back his cloak to draw another weapon, this one something far more sturdy and more likely to take a limb. In his hand now lie a kukri, vibrating just as the kilij did.

Post by Anastasia Isayev 11th March 2016, 1:18 am

Anastasia flew passed the band of raiders, looking back while in the cockpit of the Aero-Guardian Armor while it remained in Fighter Configuration.  She confirmed the hit of her previous missile and pulled up on the throttle, taking a high-G turn upwards for an Immelmann Turn.  As the aircraft pulled up, she uprighted it once it once again became parallel with the ground (with her head facing the ground) and leveled off for another pass.

"Crap!  It's coming in for another pass!  Lookout!" one of the bandits shouted out before another blinding light appeared directly next to the missile pod.  It's usually her arm cannon, but while in Fighter Configuration, it acts much like any other ranged weapon.  A low-toned hum could be heard coming from the arm cannon before it let out a mass of pure energy towards one of the bandits, blasting it onto it's back before a missile was launched during the armor's downward descent towards the group of bad-guys.

"Why do you fight us so hard?" shouted out one of the Gunners while Anastasia zoomed by.  Anastasia sucked air between her teeth and flew out just far enough to perform another Immelmann Turn.

"Because of what you did to my friend's home!  You killed her friends and her family!  Do you think I'm going to let you all off scott-free!?  I gave you all a chance to turn back but you didn't listen!" she shouted before making yet another pass, only firing off the mounted hand cannon towards one of the gunners.  However, as she passed, one of the large brutes swung it's axe, hitting Anastasia's armor causing it to tumble mid-air.  Instead of crashing, the armor converted to it's Walker Form, steadying itself mid-air.

"Do you really think I'm going to let you bastards get away with this?  If you pillage a village, take the stuff!  You don't kill the people!"  Anastasia said before popping the hatch on the cockpit and stood up on it.

"Holy shit!  That's Ana the Blue!"
    "Who the hell is that?"
    "She's a Sky Pirate!"
    "But she doesn't kill people!"

"This time, I will," she said as she slipped back into the cockpit and closed the hatch.  "For her sake."

Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana] Empty Re: Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana]

Post by Almyra Bys 11th March 2016, 10:36 pm

The screeching in Almy's ears wouldn't stop. It made her dizzy and disoriented. She could barely think. She tried to concentrate to maintain the spells that she had on her beyond their normal duration, but was unable to due to the aural assault her opponent unleashed on her. Almyra rose to her feet, looking at the new blade the bandit had drawn. She was breathing heavily now, a fair amount of blood leaking from her arm, forehead, face, and legs. The bandit was slowly approaching her when it seemed that the falcon had begun to recover somewhat. It wasn't able to fly, but it was on its feet and walking towards Almy as well. The creatures efforts and loyalty were admirable. Even without flight it would still fight to the death for its master.

The bandit quick-stepped up to Almyra and swung at her. She ducked under and raised her hands, aiming at the kukri, projecting her magic forward from both hands, her spells impacted the blade, rapidly degrading it. Between that and the vibrations of the sound mage, it would fall apart in no time. She managed to back off a few steps from her two potential assailants. There was a brief respite as the sound mage watched his weapon vibrate itself into dust. He glared at her. He had one weapon remaining aside from his magic: a pistol, but that wasn't personal enough for him. He wanted to kill Almy in melee, or with his own magical power. There was a brief respite in the fight it seemed, as the two parties considered their options while the falcon hobbled its way towards Almyra.

Post by Anastasia Isayev 12th March 2016, 6:03 pm

A brown wall of death approached the group, causing the bandits to avert their eyes from Anastasia for a moment only for a look of dread to come over their faces.  "Holy crap!  A sand storm!" they shouted before all hiding beside the wreckage of what used to be the mouth of the cave.  This caused Anastasia to stop and transform into Walker form for a moment.  Upon looking down at the group, she turned the mobile suit around to look at the sand storm and quickly fall down, using the mountain as shielding from the storm.

Particles of sand started to push Anastasia and the rest of the bad guys around.  Anastasia ran up towards one of the gunners, punching it in the face.  Afterward, she grabbed the gunner and threw him at another one of the gunners.  Bullets plinked off of her armor before getting slammed in the chest with one of the brute's hammers, sending her flying into the wall behind her.  Warnings popped up in her heads up display speaking of damage to the armor.  With a quick heal, the armor returned to near pristine condition.

The brute came up once again towards Anastasia, only for her to use a shadow step around the brute, grabbing a hold of one the gunner she threw a man into and used him as a human shield, demolishing the man.  As the man was smashed away from her, she ran up to another bandit and picked it up, slamming the man down on the ground a couple times before tossing it towards one of the brutes.  As the man is traveling, she shot into his general direction, losing visual confirmation on him once he reached 20 feet away from him.  However, thankfully, the beam of energy wasn't a solid and is thus not effected by the intense wind of the storm.  Fighting in this storm is not going to be easy.

The sandstorm was close, dangerously so. The two had neglected to notice its rapid approach when they were distracted by the fight, but now during this interlude, they realize it was nearly upon them. This was advantageous for the raider, who knew there were spare weapons hidden away in the canyon. Under the cover of the sandstorm, he would easily be able to reach them. They looked at the seemingly impenetrable fog of sand for a moment before turning back to each other. Almyra charged forward at the raider, aiming to hit him once more with her magic, but her all-in attack left her vulnerable. He sidestepped the strike before grabbing her arm and throwing her to the ground. He raised his foot and stomped on her chest, bruising her ribs painfully and knocking the wind out of Almy. She sputtered and coughed for breath before his foot came down again. He stomped once more on the girl's chest before kicking her, making her roll over onto her back. He smirked down at her.

"I think I'll let Saquir have his way with you before I finish you off." He said before stalking off, his cloak blowing in the now heavy winds that preceded the sandstorm. The injured falcon hobbled its way over to Almy before jumping onto her back. The woman let out a groan of pain as the giant bird dug its claws deep into its back. It pecked at her, its razor sharp beak easily rending the flesh of her back. Almyra, still barely able to breath, could do nothing against the giant bird tearing away her skin and muscle. The sandstorm hit them full force, but that didn't stop the falcon's assault. She eventually caught her breath and channeled her magic, closing her eyes as she felt her wounds stitch themselves shut. It would keep her going just a bit longer as the falcon tore away at her and the sand grated at her face and threatend to bury her. She focused further, sending out a pulse of energy once again with the intent to have it impact the falcon atop her. She didn't want to do this, but she had no choice but to kill it.

From the storm, Anastasia felt a sharp thud behind her as one of the giant brutes slashed into her armor with a massive axe.  Growling, Anastasia turned to find the other brute only to have one of her Aero-Guardian Armor's arms hacked off with the arm containing the arm cannon.  Anastasia sucked air through her teeth for a brief moment before quickly moving out of the way from the strike.  Upon moving, she noticed one of the gunners, kicking him towards the massive brute that, while still smaller than her Aero-Guardian armor, hit much harder than the little gunners did, oblitering the man in the process while sending his body flying through the storm.

Constant plinking sound could be heard from her armor as shots from the gunners bounced off of her armor.  Her heads up display constantly shouted out that there was massive damage upon her armor.  "I know, I know, shut up!" she said before turning the notification off.  She had a thought come into her head for a moment and a grin crossed her lips.  A pale light appeared mounted above the cockpit of the armor, forcing Anastasia to change her armor into Fighter Configuration and laid the aircraft down, slightly hovering above the ground's surface.

A loud whining could be heard, with sounds bouncing off of the canyon walls and around the sand storm.  The loud sound of the cannon caused disorientation within the ranks of the raiders.

"Where the hell did she go?!" one of the raiders shouted out into what appeared to be a tan void.

"I don't know!  But there is a loud sound coming from everywhere!"

    "Find her!"

Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana] Empty Re: Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana]

Post by Almyra Bys 15th March 2016, 3:25 pm

Almyra knew what was about to come, but the falcon didn't. Reality warped once again as the pulse she had sent out caused a chain reaction, detonating with a blast of energy. The falcon let out a shrill cry in pain. While it was distracted, Almy worked up the strength to roll herself over, knocking the falcon off of her. She positioned herself over it now. "I'm sorry..." She said softly, before channeling more magic. She would try to make its death as swift as possible. She gripped its head, her magic wearing away the flesh on its head, but more importantly, it tore apart its brain, killing it quickly, but not before it let out a shrill death-shriek.

The raider heard the cries of his prize bird as he drew a saber from the stash they had hidden in case of prisoners escaping. He knew what Almyra had done. "So, you like killing innocent pets, eh?" He called out, drawing his pistol and moving to one of the cages. "An eye for an eye, then! A life for a life." He called out before taking aim and firing at one of the prisoners, killing him. "Let's keep going for good measure, eh? I'm sure you've got someone out there killing my men." Another gunshot rang out as he fired at another. Tears welled up in Almy's eyes. This man had already taken the lives of so many, and now he was taking more. She had to stop him, once and for all. She rose to her feet, weak and in pain, but she would do what she must to stop the killer. She hobbled along towards where she had heard the gunshots through the sandstorm.

Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana] Empty Re: Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana]

Post by Anastasia Isayev 17th March 2016, 1:34 pm

Anastasia cleared her throat, being muffled by the loud humming of the Bass Cannon powering up.  The weapon grew louder and louder as the frequency began to get higher and higher as it powered itself up.  The louder and more high pitched the weapon got, the more confused the bandits got as the sound is being carried by the storm and bouncing off of the canyon wall, sounding like it's coming from all directions.  Anastasia made error corrections with her aiming as she saw the bandits pop in and out of her site.  Their intelligence wasn't all that great, not wanting to stray too far away from their own group.

Well, that is quite a smart idea if they didn't have a death ray pointed right at them.  After a brief commotion from the raiders, there was silence (or as silent as you can get in a sand storm). The silence was quite eerie, even picquing at Anastasia's interest.  Afterward, a storm of bullets came from a centralized location, firing in every direction.  A couple shots curved away from her due to the storm while a single shot struck her in the armor's canopy, lightly cracking the glass covering of the cockpit.

A few more shots were placed at the canopy of her armor.  She couldn't quite heal the damage off quite yet as the light would draw in attention.  No, she was going to save that distraction as a trap for these bandits.  But for now, she continued to take the blows from the 360 degree attack from these bandits.

Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana] Empty Re: Red Sand Bandits [Almy/Ana]

Post by Almyra Bys 17th March 2016, 10:28 pm

Almyra reached her opponent as he took aim at another villager. Fury was burning in her heart now. Never before had she seen a person, human, god, nor demon act with such cruelty. "Stop this!" She cried out, her voice shrill as she hurled a ball of energy at the pistol. The entropic energy collided with it, practically disintegrating it on impact despite the raider's attempts to avoid the blast. He discarded the now useless weapon and flourished his saber. Without a word, he swung it at Almyra. With her still enhanced reflexes, she ducked under the swing. He attacked a few more times as Almyra lead him away from the cage. She was ready to strike now, she predicted an opening, but she had neglected to account for the fact that the effects of Amor Fati were coming to an end. Her mental state lowered suddenly, without her being properly prepared. Her mind suddenly slowed, and with it she crashed further, her thoughts became more sluggish than usual, as well as her reflexes and general speed. She didn't have the time to pull back and not engage on the attack. The opening wasn't big enough for her to get in a proper strike while under the influence of the crash from Amor Fati. She was reached towards the raider, her hand aglow with entropic energy, but he stepped to the side, countering with an upward slash of his singing blade.

The vibrating sword cut through Almyra's arm like a hot knife through butter. At first, she barely felt a thing as she watched the saber cleanly sever her hand from the rest of her body, cutting straight through her forearm. Time seemed to slow down for her as she watched her severed hand fall from her body, droplets of blood falling with it as it began to spray from the remainder of her arm as well. Everything came back to her now, including the pain, especially the pain. A blinding, searing pain shot through her entire body, originating from the point where her hand had been severed. She staggered forward past the bandit leader and fell to her knees. He barely turned to acknowledge her presence as she let out a shriek of agony. She had had her arm smashed by a mace before, but that pain couldn't compare anywhere near to the grievous injury she had just sustained. The sand grating against her from the storm was reduced to nothing as nearly all her attention had been grabbed by the harrowing agony originating from her left forearm. Barely audible above the wind was the soft chuckling of the sadistic bandit. He turned his head to grin at the maimed girl.

Post by Anastasia Isayev 19th March 2016, 12:47 pm

After a moment, there was a 'ding!' sound from the Bass Canon.  After a little grin came across her face, she fired the massive cannon, splitting the storm with concentrated sound waves.  A massive "BWAAAAAH" sound could be heard for miles, even through this storm.  A very quick shout of terror could be heard from the raiders before silence.  The beam of energy slammed into the gunners and the brutes, turning them into a fine red dust.  The red dust lingered in the air for a moment before the storm returned to it's regular pattern.  The firing of the canon caused Anastasia's aircraft to recoil downward, scraping the nose of the aircraft on the ground before being grounded.

    << ALERT ALERT >>
    << SHOCKWAVE INBOUND >>

The blast of sound that turned her opponents to dust slammed into the mountain that they had at their back causing the shockwave of the sound to reflect back at her.  "Oh crap!" she shouted out before the wave, once again parted the storm, and slammed directly into her, completely shattering her armor.  The strength of the blast sent her flying with the storm maintaining the launch distance.  Of course, the only time she takes any damage was after the battle was over and it wasn't until after combat was over with did she take any actual damage.

She was thrown into a rock formation just outside of the cave that Almyra had traveled through.  Anastasia's eyes grew heavy as blood came from her mouth.  Weakened, she stood up and began walking to what she thought was the cave.  Something pulled at her, thinking she had to help Almyra.  The portion of the sand storm coming towards her was dyed red, making navigating through it even more difficult.  "Be safe, Almy.  I'm coming." she shouted as she slowly pushed along through the storm, shielding her eyes from the dust and debris within.
