Personality:
Outside Battle: Jakob is a very antisocial person with a short temper. He doesn't want anything to do with anyone he hasn't bonded with, and even bonding with someone is extremely hard. He is mostly silent, and is a type of person you'd see lurking in the corner. He always has a serious face on him, not a depressed or angry one, however if he were to get pissed off he'd quickly change this face into an angry one. He doesn't like people who are outgoing, loud, and obnoxious, and will instead stay further away from them than any other person. His antisocial personality doesn't completely translate over to his life in a guild, but it will partially. He will speak to those in his guild, will communicate, will go on jobs with, etc, however he still doesn't want to be bothered most of the time. He'd sit in the corner of the guild, and not speak until spoken to. Jakob's short-temper however DOES translate over to... well anywhere. He can get fits of rage and easily start fights with people who piss him off, and he can get into extremely loud arguments. Despite his antisocial-ism Jakob is actually a nice guy. He isn't depressed or anything of the sort, and isn't angry at anyone at all. He can come off as blunt most of the time, saying “You annoy me” or “I don't like you” with a very fearsome tone, but he actually means no harm when he does this, he just doesn't know better. He can't take any jokes, he doesn't know the purpose of jokes and won't understand them, and probably won't laugh, but he can be happy despite this. Jakob is very arrogant, but not in the sense of bragging to everyone, but he just knows he's good. While he won't show this to other's, he will always judge someone and instantly know whether they're just going to be a let-down or will actually prove useful, powerful, or something of that sort. He always judges based on his own power, however, and not others. This is sort of saying “Will he be better than I am,” and if he would be the same/better then he'd be useful.

In Battle: In battle Jakob is very arrogant, and actually finds weaker opponents annoying. He won't taunt or brag against his opponent, but in his head he'll practically be thinking “Wow, this guy sucks.” He judges his opponent, and uses the appropriate amount of power based on his opponent's power, so this in itself could be considered arrogant. “You're weaker than me? I won't use my full strength, instead I'll only use enough to beat you.” He, if the opponent really is weaker than he, will even say to the opponent “You have no chance of beating me.” This normally occurs against blind fighters, people who just challenge to challenge, without any knowledge of that person. Against someone who's power he previously knows, Jakob knows not to underestimate them, and will fight with intelligence. Onto that topic, Jakob's style of fighting isn't to rush in with veracity and brute strength, instead it's to simply tire out his opponent. He is very defensive, thinking offense isn't needed to actually win a fight. He prefers to use his magic to block the opponent, wait for them to lose their power, and then strike back with all of his force to defeat them. It's as the saying goes, Offense scores points but Defense wins games.

As a Leader: As a leader Jakob definitely is more focused on his followers rather than himself. He takes everyone's opinions, and always goes about with a plan to benefit those around him, and not himself. He'd be ready to kill himself to assure his followers make it out of there, and always decides to defend them as opposed to himself. His plans are strategic, and he'll always decide the best plan whether it was his original idea or the idea of one of his teammates.

Under a Leader: Under a leader Jakob will never deny what they have to say, but will definitely give tactical ideas as a generous gift to them. He finds that the leader should hear everyone's plans, and they'll make their decisions based on everyone's opinions. If he/she decides not to take their opinion, so be it. His strategy in battle with a leader is to be the defensive unit, to block any attack on the team, and allow everyone else to attack.  
Likes:
*Reading: Jakob loves to read, in silence. He particularly loves reading books about war, or tactics, but that's aside the point. It always pays off to have a good book at your side, and to break it out and start to read.

*Hot places: He is so used to the familiar, so Jakob loves the heat over the cold. Growing up in sandy, desert, hot places makes you somewhat used to it, so he's grown to have a liking to it.

*Silence: ….... Shh, don't ruin it. I just... love this silence. Give me time to think, to rest...... I SAID DON'T RUIN IT!!!

*Tournaments/Tests: When you're as sure of yourself as Jakob is, you take on a liking of tests of skill. Be these tournaments, random fights, jobs, etc. Jakob is always up for a way to prove to himself further that he is as strong as he thinks he is.

*Reformists: Due to his hatred for governments, he likes people who work against them. This doesn't mean he supports dark guilds, no. He only supports those that don't have evil goals in the end, he supports those that just want a more peaceful land, without the government to hold them down.
Dislikes:
*Governments: Jakob utterly hates governments, other peoples' rules, and all of that. He doesn't like when people make him pledge allegiance to them, he thinks his allegiance should go wherever he wants it, therefore he doesn't like governments whatsoever.

*“Love Birds:” Ever heard of “love at first sight?” Ever see those people who always speak of love, always flaunting over someone? Ever watch Twilight? Yeah, so did Jakob. These people are completely obnoxious, and he has his own opinion on love: If you find it along the way, you do. Don't try to get it.

Philosophers: Do you speak in riddles? Do you always speak in a calm tone? Do you try to calm everyone down with sh*t that makes no sense? Heh, well you've earned a spot on Jakob's bad side. Good job, Confucius.

*Cold Areas: Growing up in hot, sandy places brings you to earn some kind of resistance to it. With that being said, Jakob can't stand being in cold areas, as it's so far away from his comfort zone. Get a friggin' heater, guys. Damn.

*Dumbass Challengers: Yes below it does say his motivation is to best someone stronger than he, but he isn't dumb. He won't go up to some godly power that he has no chance of beating and try his luck, no. Jakob hates those that do that, as well. Those people have no sense of power-scaling, and deserve the ass-kicking they're about to get.

*Loudness: Be it people, music, little brothers, monsters, Jakob hates things that are loud. There is no reason for you to be so loud, and you should take some lessons on going mute.
Motivations:
*Breaking up the Rune Knights: While Jakob isn't evil, he definitely doesn't like the need for a police/military force. He thinks the guilds are the only real police/military that the Magic Council needs, so he has a desire to break up the Rune Knights

*Finding/Besting a Rival: Jakob feels strong about his own abilities, so he wants to find someone that is above him in strength and skill, and then aspire to best them. That way, he can know that he is truly as strong as he thinks he is, having beaten someone who previously was stronger than he.

*Getting a Title/Winning something: Jakob, as stated above, feels strongly about his own abilities, so he wants to show that off to others. He wants some type of title, be it from winning a tournament or just being plain famous. Whatever it is, he wants to be known amongst the people.

*Leading: Jakob always wants to have the ability to lead someone. No, he doesn't want power, he just wants to know that people trust him enough to be able to actually lead him. This can range from a small team, a mini-militia, or an entire guild. As long as he has his people to follow him, he'd be content.
Fears:
*Needles: These things make Jakob completely anxious. They'll give him flashbacks, make his breathing heavy, and he'll lose certainty. If someone were to bring him into a room filled with needles, he'd probably pass out. However his fear for needles isn't like a fear of bugs or something when he'd scream, he just gets extremely nervous and anxious

*Bats: This, like the above, doesn't get Jakob to get down on his knees and cry. This makes him extremely anxious and nervous, when a bat is in the room. He hates bats because of their look, their strange noise, etc despite him clearly being able to destroy them himself

*Faceless things: Be it people, dolls, beasts, etc Jakob can't stand to look at things without faces. They completely terrify him, he won't do anything about it. Completely unnatural, he thinks. All of those things are freaks of nature.

*Facilities/Test Labs: Don't ever take Jakob into a lab, facility, or anything of that relation. He'd start to freak out, and possibly destroy everything around him. Jakob loathes everything relating that, fears it, and stays as far away as possible.

*Doctors/Scientists: As if it wasn't obvious enough, Jakob fears Doctors and Scientists. He wants nothing to do with them, won't go to hospitals, won't volunteer for science projects, or anything. He finds them evil, horrible people who don't think about their subjects, and instead just proceed with whatever they want.
General Appearance

Skin Tone: Light, however not pale
Appearance: His physique is about normal, not extremely bulky, not fat, not extremely skinny. He doesn't work out that much, so he is not muscular at all. Jakob doesn't wear anything like what his image (FC) portrays, he doesn't wear glasses or a fancy suit. Jakob wears clothes that make it easier to live in sandy areas. He sometimes wears a turban, but rarely does, and always has on a scarf to protect his face from winds and sands. He has on a black short-sleeve shirt with a beige long-sleeve coat on over it, and light, long pants to protect his legs from the aforementioned sand and wind however still light on his body to make sure he doesn't die from the sun's heat. He wears sandals, without socks of course... he isn't a fashion reject, and wears fingerless gloves.
