- Job Title: Act I: Genesis
Rank: D
Player Requirements: 2+ D+ Ranks (or a combination of ranks) minimum, maximum 6 wizards
Job Requirements: 250 words per post minimum, 25 posts minimum, 15 rolls minimum, Defeat Boss
Job Location: Ancient Ruins
Job Description:
---This job is modified to permit other players to do it---
One day, while -insert what you were doing- you receive a letter from -insert something here- saying "Hey... um... Look, my name's Lexa and I need some help. I was checking around the Ancient Ruins after one of my jobs, and I found.... something. I can't go through the tunnels on my own because the enemies are a bit much. So if you'll assist me in taking them out I'd be sure to give you something!" ~Lexa Grimoire
Upon arriving, you see a girl around 5ft tall wearing a black miniskirt, a grey shirt with no sleeves, black fingerless gloves, and black boots extending to just below her knees. She seems to be 14->16 years old, but is actually 18. She walks up to you and your party, greeting you all with a generous smile and shows you a small black strip that looks like little more than a piece of metal. However, she then applies a bit of MP to it and the strip (as well as herself) begins to glow.
It is up to the players to describe the tunnel system, and the laboratory you go to. It is also up to on of the players to act as Lexa Grimoire as she will be an NPC if the real one isn't there.- NPC - Lexa G:
Boss: Lexa Grimoire (NPC)
Lexa is almost always extremely chipper, and friendly towards her friends. When she fights she changes to an extremely focused, neutral state. She has 4 spells available to the person RP'ing as her, as well as the ability to make all the circuits on her body shine bright gold (like a light source). When entering combat, the circuits will automatically become bright.
Spells:
Teleport - Lexa is able to teleport anywhere within 10 meters 1time every 3 posts
Shadow Burst - Lexa becomes a shadow and disappears, reappearing anywhere within 15 meters 1 time per 4 posts
Heal - Lexa heals herself or 1 target for 10% HP immediately. This can be used 1 time per 5 posts
Blood-Rage - Lexa's circuits glow blood red, and then explode like a blown light bulb. Lexa attacks all enemies for +50% rank damage, as well has can move 30% faster. Lexa cannot use any of her spells for 3 posts, and this can be done 1 time
Enemies:
Weak: Circuit Covered Spider
These creatures are fairly massive, being 3 feet wide without their legs, and 6 feet wide with them. They're impossible to miss as their body is covered in circuits, and these circuits glow bright yellow in the dark. These circuits are defensive ones that make it so their body can never be harmed, however, they have 8 legs that have no circuits at all. These will take 1 hit of D rank damage per leg (8 D rank in total) to defeat. The spiders are able to jump around, climb on walls, and fire their webs at you to snare you in place. Their bite will cause you to take C rank damage, as well as inflict a poison dealing 3% HP per post, for 5 posts in damage to you.
Normal: Circuit Covered Dog
The breed of the dog is up to you, as well as its description. The dog is mutated, like the spiders, to be over 4 feet tall when on all fours, and is covered from head to toe in golden circuits. These dogs have the animal lover circuits on them, meaning they deal +50% damage to humans, but deal 25% less damage to animal. Beings like insects, dragons, aliens etc... receive normal damage. These are very fast creatures, able to run up to 40 mile per hour and require no time for accelerating to such speed. However, they require time to decelerate to stop. They attack for C rank damage, and take 4 D rank hits or the equivilant to defeat.
Strong: Circuit Covered Scientist
This guy has circuits all over his body, and is roughly 6ft tall. The rest of his description is up to the player (could be a zombie scientist, be shirtless, look like a normal scientist etc...). He attacks you with a scalpel, and a bone saw, each dealing B rank damage. It takes 10 hits of D rank damage or the equivilant to take him down. His circuits make it so he cannot be killed in 1 hit, and also make it so every other hit the damage is reflected back in the direction it came from, and 5x the speed. Additionally, he is immune to poison, stun, burn, bleed, stat reduction, and all other forms of Crowd Control.
After defeating them all, you come to a large room with suits of armour lining the walls, and something very disturbing... Several massive containers filled with liquid. Except one... one of them has a girl inside who looks every bit like Lexa Grimoire. Worse is, she talks, acts, thinks, and even fights like her too. The girl opens her eyes while inside the vat of strange liquid and her circuits light up causing her to disappear. She reappears outside the vat, and begins talking to Lexa, addressing her as "Big Sister" making Lexa believe she has a twin. After a small exchange of Dialogue, the enemy Lexa says "Unfortunately, papa ordered you dead." and her circuits light up bright gold as she begins her attack.
Boss: Imōto
Describing her is redundant, she looks 100% like Lexa Grimoire. It takes 16 hits of C Rank damage (due to resistances) to defeat this version of Lexa Grimoire. She moves 30% faster than normal people, has a +35% Defensive Boost to magic and melee, deals +50% Damage to humanoids, can fly, and is immune to poison, stun, burn, bleed, stat reduction, and all other forms of crown control. Her spells are as follows:
Teleport - Lexa is able to teleport anywhere within 10 meters 1time every 3 posts
Shadow Burst - Lexa becomes a shadow and disappears, reappearing anywhere within 15 meters 1 time per 4 posts
Heal - Lexa heals herself for 3hits of damage immediately. This can be used 1 time per 5 posts
Blood-Rage - Lexa's circuits glow blood red, and then explode like a blown light bulb. Lexa attacks all enemies for +50% rank damage, as well has can move 30% faster. Lexa cannot use any of her spells for 3 posts, and this can be done 1 time
Dimensional Coffin - Lexa snaps her fingers and two portals open up above and below the room. A massive flurry of swords, spears, arrows, knives; any weapon you can imagine, flies through the portals at rapid speed. This deals 30% HP damage to all who cannot defend against it.
After this version of Lexa is defeated, she will say "I guess big sisters are made stronger..." before teleporting out of the room. Lexa will address you and the team, and throw a set of the armour from the wall at you, saying it's the best she could do to repay.
Reward:
1x Strong Armour
2x D Rank XP

Spells:- D-Rank Spells:
- Name: Fire Dragon's Bouncing Bullet
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: 1 post
Description:
By calling out the name of the spell, verbally announciating it to his opponent, the user will be able to bring one hand to their mouth, with their fist tightened to the extent where there is a small hole leading from the closed fist to the mouth. They'll then breathe a small "bullet" of fire through the hole which will have different properties to that of the ordinary flame. The flame's properties would have changed so that with every surface that the flame comes into contact with, it will simply bounce off of it and travel in a different direction based on the trajectory at which it initially came at the object. This technique is tactile but at the same time rather useless. If the strike lands on the opponent, like a blunt force hitting them, they'll be struck back and depending on their size and stature, be blown off their feet. Like all flame attacks, this will leave burning damage should it connect. However, it's useless in the sense that the user cannot control where the flame is bouncing too so risks getting hit in the process. It should be made known that the bullet can only bounce three times before it evaporates into the air and no longer becomes volatile. As far as known measures of the technique go, the bullet is relatively small, no larger than Ibara's hand that travels at 20m/s for roughly 30 metres in distance.
Strengths:
• Ranged attack, disables the Ibara's initial disadvantageous attribute of relying on his physicality.
• Removes the factor that Earth can block and nullify all flame-based attacks as this will simply bounce off of it.
• Will leave burn damage upon connection which complies with the burn damage rules.
Weaknesses:
• Cannot control where the flame will bounce off too if it should be blocked.
• The spell delivers no physical damage since there's no physical connection.
• There is the risk of being hit by this spell as the bounce is uncontrolled nor is the trajectory.
• The name of the spell is verbally announced making it easier to anticipate.
Name: Fire Dragon's Wingbeat
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: 2 posts
Description:
The user rushes forward against two opponents. While doing so, the user produces a large stream of fire from each of their arms, which, when it comes in contact with the foes, burns them and at the same time sends them flying away behind them due to the blunt force of the produced fire. Such flames take the rough form of a pair of Dragon's wings, thus the name of the attack. This spell can also by employed by first grabbing the targets' heads and then producing the fire to strike them.
Strengths:
• An attack which is essentially unavoidable since the user has to grab the target first.
• Barriers are basically ineffective unless it's some form of armour since the spell is performed at very close range.
• The attack rolls out three forms of damage, first when the opponent is grabbed, second when the opponent is hit by the fire and third when sent flying.
Weaknesses:
• The spell leaves the opponent extremely vulnerable since it's done from very close range.
• The enemy may assail the opponent from close range which could disrupt the spell entirely.
• Armour of most elements would deflect the technique since it relies on brute force.
• The name of the spell is verbally announced making it easier to anticipate.
Name: Fire Dragon's Fiery Scales
Rank: D
Type: Defensive
Duration: 3 posts
Cooldown: 5 posts
Description:
The user shrouds themselves with magical power while temporarily roaring at their opponent. At first it seems like nothing at all, however, when struck physically by the opponent; like an erupting volcano, the enemy will find themselves blasted by short successions of ember which will eject themselves from wherever they have struck on the user. Although this won't do blunt, brute force damage, should the fire make contact with the enemy in the slightest; like with all flames, they'll receive burning damage for the next two posts. This "invisible armour" lasts for three posts.
Strengths:
• Provides an invisible armour that is difficult to anticipate so enemies may attack blindly.
• Prevents the user from being damaged by most physical attacks should the wizard opposing him/her not be of higher strength (one rank higher).
• The name for this technique does not have to be verbally announced which may catch the enemy by surprise.
Weaknesses:
• This spell taxes the user's MP for a D-Rank spell every post it is active.
• Opponents are still able to dodge the embers launched at them with good reactions.
• Water Mages can douse the embers if they so wish.
• Physical armour of any kind would most likely neutralise the ember effectiveness.
Name: Fire Dragon's Fingersnap
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description:
The mechanics of this spell are simple. The user must simply prepare their fingers in a motioned-state as they would when attempting to click their fingers together. Keep in mind, before the fingers are actually clicked, the user must focus on a single area in which they can spread their magical influence. The radius of this area is only about 2 metres wide in diameter and follow the shape of a circle. Upon the user 'snapping' their fingers, that specific area will spontaneously combust and burst into flames. The spell can be used to either deter the opponent from stepping somewhere to make them more vulnerable, or simply putting them on fire. Like other spells, if the user does choose to set the opponent on fire, they will experience burn damage for the next two posts unless they manage to nullify or douse the flames.
Strengths:
• The attack is extremely hard to anticipate as it can come from anywhere at anytime.
• With a lack of anticipation, there will be a lack of an ability to dodge the attack at all.
• The name for this technique does not have to be verbally announced which may catch the enemy by surprise.
Weaknesses:
• While the fire is active, the user will experience drainage equivalent to two D-Rank spells.
• Opponents may still be able to dodge the spontaneous flames should they have excellent reaction time.
• Water mages can douse the flames although drainage to Ibara's MP will cease from then on.
• Ibara has relatively little control over the flames after they appear.
- C-Rank Spells:
- Name: Fire Dragon's Fang Shot
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description:
The user's knuckles are embedded with magic so each individual knuckle on a chosen hand now begins to leak with fire. This leaking fire soon begins to take shape into that of a miniature fang, of similar stature to that of a dragon (although not similar in size). The user must then be within close range of the physical object it tends to connect. With. The user will rather calmly press their knuckles against the desired object/person and a fiery, gargantuan explosion will emanate from the point of connection. If it comes into contact with a physical object, the object will be obliterated (subjective by rank: shields/barriers 1 rank higher would take 50% more damage, 2 ranks higher 25% more damage, and 3 ranks higher takes normal damage from the attack). If the user connects with another human, then they will be sent flying roughly twenty metres from the user (subjective by rank: the distance would be halved if the opponent is 1 rank above you and an opponent 2 ranks above you will be able to resist the knockback effect entirely) and will most likely be dealt heavy physical trauma damage. However, the opponent will not experience burn damage since the point between connection and sending the user flying is such a miniature time-frame.
Strengths:
• Barriers of any kind, even earth barriers, will find themselves obliterated at the sheer force of the technique.
• If the user makes connection with the opponent, then it's impossible to avoid, since it's at point-blank range.
Weaknesses:
• The user is left vulnerable due to the close-range factor of the spell.
• This technique does not inflict burn damage which under powers it in a way.
• The name of the spell is verbally announced making it easier to anticipate.
Name: Fire Dragon's Claw
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description:
The user ignites their feet with flames and proceeds to assault the opponent with a powerful fire-enhanced kick, with the flames greatly augmenting the power of said kick. They can also create flames from the feet, greatly enhancing speed and allowing the user to jet-propel in any direction they desire. This makes it easier for the user to get close to opponents that they wish to engage in close combat. The user can also combine the jet-propulsion capabilities of this spell for use with other techniques. Physical kicks from this technique are capable of shattering any barrier that lays in it's path (subjective by rank: kicks instantly shatter barriers equal to, or below the spell's rank but barriers of higher ranking opponents would still be able to stop it).
Strengths:
• Speed is augmented (see Inferno Wings of the Fire Dragon) so the attacks are harder to avoid (25%).
• Power is augmented so barriers of non-opposing elements or higher ranks will not contain the physical blows (15%).
• The attack leaves burn damage after connection which can stack if multiple connections are made.
Weaknesses:
• The user must maintain close range to land a strike which can open up their vulnerability.
• Physical attacks are harder to aim and deliver due to the augmented speed factor.
• Water-related spells nullify the effectiveness of this spell completely since it relies heavily on fire.
• The name of the spell is verbally announced making it easier to anticipate.
Name: Fire Dragon's Sword Horn
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description:
The user engulfs their entire body in flames and then propels themselves against the opponent at high speed, hitting them with a powerful headbutt. The user then proceeds to send the enemy flying up in the air with a pillar of fire produced from their body which will generally send them a distance of up to 20 metres in the air (subjective by rank: this distance is halved for opponents 1 rank above this spell, and completely nullified for opponents 2 ranks above it).
Strengths:
• Speed is augmented (see Inferno Wings of the Fire Dragon) so the attacks are harder to avoid.
• Heavy burn damage is inflicted since the entirety of the body is engulfed in flames upon connection.
• Unless the enemy can land themselves safely, they'll receive fall damage (10 HP) since they were propelled a considerable distance up.
Weaknesses:
• The user exposes their head in the build-up to the attack which could cause critical damage to themselves.
• Delivering this spell to a barrier of higher rank could potentially render Ibara unconscious.
• Spells that are affiliated with water could douse Ibara and he'd simply collapse rather than deliver the blow.
• The name of the spell is verbally announced making it easier to anticipate.
- Signature Spells:
- Name: Fire Dragon's Iron Fist
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: 1 post
Description:
The user engulfs their fist in flames and then punches their opponent, causing, aside from sheer blunt damage, damage from the flames as well (aesthetic). This attack can also be performed with both hands at once.
Strengths:
• An attack which causes heavy physical damage regardless of the speed of the punch.
• Barriers that aren't made from strong earth will usually be destroyed due to the sheer strength of the spell.
• Hard to avoid considering the speed at which the user moves at due to the flames propelling them forwards.
Weaknesses:
• The spell is easy to nullify when doused by water which essentially turns the attack into a simple punch.
• Aside from the spell being verbally announced, it's easy to anticipate since the intention of the spell is clear.
• The spell in actuality leaves the user very vulnerable after striking the opponent.
• The name of the spell is verbally announced making it easier to anticipate.
Name: Fire Dragon's Roar
Rank: SCALING
Type: Offensive
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: 1 post
Description:
The user first inhales, gathering fire in their mouth, and then releases such fire in the direction of their opponent, creating a large, exploding fireball which damages and burns the opponent. This spell can be performed two ways: the first, and more "complicated" way involves the user putting their hands before their mouth, in a pose resembling that of a trumpeter, before releasing the fire, prompting it to be expelled between their fingers. The flames produced by this version start out as a very thin stream, enough to be fit between the user's fingers, before suddenly enlarging to strike the opponent. The other simpler, and seemingly faster way, simply has the user quickly gathers flames in their mouth and then releases them, with no seeming stance required, producing a much larger burst of fire. This spell can travel up to thirty metres in distance without hindrance.
Strengths:
• An attack which causes heavy magical damage, differing from most spells.
• Can be used in quick succession since the spell requires no cooldown time.
• The spell can burn through defences made of ice or metal by melting them.
Weaknesses:
• The spell can be countered by opposing elements such as water to nullify it.
• The breath, although fast to the eye, is actually quite slow and can be avoided/dodged.
• Since it's a ranged attack, the spell can be deflected by barriers of opposing elements to fire such as earth.
• The name of the spell is verbally announced making it easier to anticipate.
