lightning flashes bright, then fades away

Despite how the young woman attempted to make sure Chel didn’t take notice of her wound, the grim features on her face showed otherwise. Silently, the pinkette could not help but roll her eyes at herself before nodding towards her fiancé, gesturing him that she was more than fine. She definitely was. The place where her foe had pummelled into her abdomen ached just slightly — it was nothing she could not take care of, yet, being a lover of her, it was apparent Chel was more worried than she was for herself. A sudden jerk and a flicker of shadow within the corner of her eyes caught her attention as the guild master of Sabertooth snapped her head around only to see the vulcan clutching onto her paramour’s leg. Doubtless, her face scarcely showed any emotion, for she was sure Chel would not hesitate to hack its head off. Without bothering any further, the woman whirled back around, billowing out her dark cloak that fell behind her outwards as if they were thick curtains as she trudged through the sand and into the dense forest.
Light began to fade the further the Sabertooth mages proceeded into the forest, dense thickets of half-drowned trees pressed close around them, branches dripping with curtains of pale fungus. The woods was strangely silent, apart from the whistling of the wind and the rustle of bright yellow leaves spiralling along with the motion of the air currents. The branches snapped underneath her boots, causing her to jolt slightly from the disturbing sound within the tranquility. By hearing the sounds of footsteps behind her, Hika was certain that her fiancé had now caught up to her after dealing with the remaining vulcan who was near death. The woman could scarcely see anything in front of her, sunlight blocked by the huge branches that protruded from the trees, only specks of light pierced through the gap between the leaves as she made her way through the dark forest. The wind brushed against her cheek, whisking away the pink strands of her hair ever so gently, her cloak billowing behind her as the breeze picked up its speed, outlined nobly against the sun and the stars for all to see. The trees swayed slightly with the momentum of the wind and spots of sunlight fell upon her face and onto the dried leaves that filled the whole path she was headed too.
For a brief moment, the woman stood still and listened to how the nature was talking to her; the wind, the leaves, every single movement, her eyes closed briefly with a small smile on her line of her plump lips. The guild master of Sabertooth had always been a lover of nature; the only thing that kept her in peace, the only sounds that could calm her and a piece that truly inspired her. It was as if the wind had responded to her as it gently caressed her cheeks. Her smile widened before her bright cerulean orbs fluttered open, her body suddenly filled with energy and motivation. For some reason, she felt restless and a sudden urge to use her powers. The swift sounds from a distance knocked her back to her senses, her eyes and ears instantly peeled for anything that might be coming to their way. Shadows loomed past her, behind the trees that engulfed around the two Sabertooth mages. Her rank was high enough to sense things from a distance, yet, she was unable to see what or who exactly it was with her bare eyes. Activating her magic, a dark, pitch-black colour began to warp her eyes, filling out the entire cornea. From this, the woman’s sight was intensified, her magic enabling her to see almost anything detailed within the area.
The whole forest revealed around her, even the tiniest insects of the woods. The beings that lurked within the shadows emerged in her sight and for a second, the woman was greatly surprised by their appearance. Not only the beings were tiny, their foes had huge pots with plants, precisely mushrooms growing out of the clay pot. Her brows were lifted in confusing, nonetheless, she decided to push the thought away from her mind. The enemies appeared to be ones taken down with easiness for her. Indigo pools danced with amusement as a sly smile rested on her lips. Black and purple fumes coated her hands, rising as if they were flames and took a signature stance, her legs parted slightly and her hands motioned in a different position, the moment the midgets came forth out of the woods.
With a hoist of her hand, her enemies were lifted into mid-air while she altered the force fields around their bodies with a swift gestures of her fingers. The midgets would find themselves locked in an invisible column where energy is highly compressed inside the column. The young mage curled her fingers into a tight ball, causing the pillars that surrounded the midgets to follow the same motion as she gestured. Blood splattered everywhere and the pieces of the dead bodies were tossed around in all directions from the force of the crush. ”Let’s keep moving.” The features on her face still remained unmoving, before she gestured Chel to come with her to search for the final treasure. The woman extended her hand and grabbed for the nearby branches in a way to push herself forward. A speck of light reached out towards her, perhaps a few meters away from her which was not so far from where she was standing. The further she treaded forward, the brighter the light was, filling out the entire vicinity of the forest with a pale illuminating colour. Her ability was not required to perceive things around her anymore for the dazzling light was bright enough to light up the whole area, enabling her to witness everything around her. Fingers lazily sprawled in front of her face to protect herself from the blinding light, the woman glimpsed through the space between her fingers, wondering what exactly it could be.

Force Pillar.
