The sounds of a violent roar, the sudden shaking of the world encumbered with the melody of shattering glass and snapping wood. The three immediately flew off their beds, the eldest forgetting to bring a blade, the median forgetting to bring his shield, the youngest placing all his faith in the two. The muffled sounds of each others screams, panicking as the haze of sleep cleared in the sudden moment of danger. A call through the calamity, a masculine voice shouting for them to run. The heat felt as the world around the three became the intestines of an oven.
-squish-
A male voice, stern, brave and bold to the bitter end releasing no cries of pain; only ordering the four to escape. His final words 'survive together' as the corpse was flung, passing by them with a large smile on his face. Blood coating his beard, and a gaping hole in his chest as they watched him passing, the adrenaline slowing time down for them to get a proper view.
-snap-
The sound of the bones crushing, her cries of pain muffled as her head was crushed under its large, scaled fist. Unable to tell the three her last wish, her only desire. Unable to admit her love to them once more, her life ended too soon after it had truly begun. The sounds of anger as their attacker bellowed another blase of flames at them, scorching the girls leg. Her body grabbing the largest of the group, tossing him aside as the massive hand swept across her field of view. Her body twisted and contorted, following a whim of its own and narrowly avoiding becoming one with finality.
-crashing-
Trees being felled, snapped, and obliterated as the great beast smashed its way through the woodland, giving its prey no room for reprieve. The larger of the two males being launched forward by the sensation of the large beast impacting him, or rather, what was on his back. A bright flash, and the sound of the monster fleeing was heard. The girl gave a loud gasp, alerting to her younger brother that the youngest was injured, noting a large town in the distance with a building floating overhead. The building the three knew best as Sabertooth Guild Hall, a place none wished to venture to under contract of their newly deceased parents. The girl, eldest of the three called the order, overruling her parents and began running towards the town in hopes of beating the reaper.
-drip-
The sound of a single crimson paint mark being left on the concrete as flustered youths dashed through the town, the smaller one tossing people aside to make way for the larger. The sound heard again, only louder in the heart of the small girl, her silvery hair whipping in the wind coated by the tears she was shedding for fear of a loss. The clamoring of metal bits, the ruffling of charred cloth, and the stomping of his larger footsteps rapidly sounding as he ran behind his sister.
-drip-
Another blotch of red, continuing the trail from the gates to the town leading to the small objects being hauled at rapid speed, barely being noticed by the inquisitive eyes it passed by. The arm, so sternly clinging to the shoulder of its owner's mount became weak, slowly allowing itself to slide and only readjusting itself when a shrill voice shouted "Don't go!" at the top of its lungs. Plagued with terror, adorned in love and hope the small girl continued forcing herself to run at top speed.
-drop-
The sound was heard as the two siblings placed their hands on a lacrima, their world changing to the inside of their destination. The girl quickly grabbed a nearby chair and swung it as though it were a sword, the force released causing several items on the table to fly and leave space for her loved on. The male placed his smaller, younger brother on the table; watching in desperation as the table became clad in crimson water, pouring out and spilling from its cup onto the table, and soon soiling the floor as well. "N-nee... s-san..." the weak voice called. Miyuki hurried over, grabbing the small hand of her brother. "W-when one... one... d-door closes..." he said, his hand becoming limp immediately, slipping from Miyuki's grasp as her eyes narrowed. The halls became littered with the sounds of shrill screaming, Miyuki ordering her brother to return, and soon... the screaming faded and became little more than her begging him to stay. Kaede, wearing burnt, torn, and ragged clothes fell to his knees at the sight of his sister leaning over the corpse of his younger sibling. Miyuki collapse, resting her face on the bleeding torso, combing her tears with his blood as the realization of her place in the food chain set in. Kaede was unable to move, unable to speak... all he could do was watch as he and his sister became all that remained of their family. His eyes watered, filled with tears that began flowing down his face. The pain that he'd never felt before set in, so overwhelming that his voice couldn't find an intensity that would be deemed appropriate. All that was heard of the scene was Miyuki's muffle crying through the corpse of her youngest brother. All that was seen was a small girl with silver hair, crying into the bloodied corpse of a small boy; and a much taller boy on his knees helplessly watching it.
Drip... Drip... Drop... the last bit of blood fell from the table, as the clock ceased ticking for the boy and the reaper claimed his soul.
