Baal's Secondary Magic The Art of Decay |
Magic Name: Art of Decay Caster/Holder: Caster Magic Type: Secondary Magic Description An off-shoot of crash magic, Art of Decay was taught to Baal by a terrifying creature in the Break in Time. Upon pressing his hands upon an object, he can see it's atomic structure. Using his latent psychokinetic power, he is capable of blowing apart atoms, temporarily nullifying the Strong Nuclear Force that keeps atoms together. By doing this, Baal can cause structures to crumble and can even cause equipment to begin deteriorating at a rapid pace. While he can, technically, affect organic matter, it takes a bit more concentration. The act of blowing away the atoms of an object is called "Crumbling" according to Baal. When something begins 'crumbling', it shows no signs of decaying as it is being destroyed (or rather separated) at an atomic level. All one sees is something disappearing. |
Delay Effect: Baal is capable of delaying the scattering of atoms willingly. Baal can delay this effect up to 3 posts. While delayed, he is still capable of using Decay, however he cannot use the same spell again until after it's duration. While delayed, he cannot use another instance of Delay until after the spell finishes it's duration. Atomic Viewing Effect: Anything that Baal touches, he could see at the atomic level. He can use this to see how thick an object is. This will help him determine how much power to put behind his spells as well as being able to see the atomic composition of objects, allowing him to differentiate the difference between different objects due to atomic structures and molecular bonds. |
- Effective against equipment, causing them to break down. - Useful for creating holes in the environment (such as 'creating a new door') if one isn't available - Useful for destroying objects in general | - Baal must have one free hand to perform these spells. - These spells ONLY work on physical object. Objects that are fluid, ethereal, or anything that Baal cannot physically touch is not effected. - Baal must be within arm's reach to work, causing Baal to need to get into VERY close quarters - While an object is being broken down, Baal cannot break down another object until after it's completed (Cannot use another spell in this category until AFTER the duration is complete) |
