Personality: Raymond is a stubborn kind of guy. He doesn't like to be bullied into something and when he is his reaction is to fight back rather then submit. This doesn't mean he goes looking for a fight but rather when someone is pushing him or threatening him he is more likely to fight them and do the opposite rather then accept it. This doesn't mean he isn't a nice person. Just the opposite actually. He is more then willing to go out of his way to help a friend and he follows the rules and law just like anyone else. When it is mentioned that he is stubborn that is more in tune to being forced rather then him choosing to do it. He might actually want to do something then someone threatens him and tries to force him to do it and instead he would try his hardest not to do it.
Raymond is a gentleman. He likes to be nice to women and will often go out of his way to help a woman that says she is in trouble. This can make him seem chauvinistic towards women. He has an old view that women weren't meant to fight and he instinctively wants to protect them from harm. He by no means thinks they are weak but being raised by a family that viewed women as something to protect has had an effect on him. This is heavily due to the fact that his mother was always frail from a sickness she had that kept her bed ridden and weak. Her kind and gentle nature always a shining beacon in the house. This makes him over protective to the finer gender often when he doesn't need to be. He doesn't mean any harm by it but that doesn't stop ladies from hitting him when he tries to stand up for them with or without their blessing.
Since birth Raymond has had an unusually strong affinity towards nature. He inherited this from his mother and he has been able to talk to animals and plants since he was born. This has given him a unique view of animals because his mother has always been able to talk to them too. As such animals are treated like any other human. It may be that only he or his mother could understand them but it can be taken a bit too far. It isn't uncommon for Raymond to setup plates of food at the table for local squirrels or letting a deer use the toilet in the bathroom. You never know what you will see animals doing at his home because he doesn't only treat them like humans he expects them to be polite like humans too
He has picked up a few animistic ticks as well. This seems to be channeled into his being from time to time and can manifest in minor yet almost always annoying ways, yet can be charming in others. Sometimes he just needs a reminder that humans do things this way and that he is not an animal of sorts. He can get confused about those things sometimes. He knows he's human and what not but he just gets confused about some of the more delicate human social behavior. This is more complex things like having complete trust and honor with those around you (like wolves). If it is thrown away its up for grabs (kind of like rats). Shiny things are obviously more valuable (like birds). Couple this with the fact he grew up in a house that rolled in money but lacked in parental guidance and he has a pretty odd view of things in the world.
When the going gets tough, Raymond gets sarcastic, and jokes around. He handles his fear with humor and joking rather the traditional reaction. That doesn't mean he can't be startled and cowed but rather an extension of his fight instinct instead of flight. he just cannot shut up when scared and just has to make a quip or two about whatever situation he finds himself in. This can be a charming feature but it can also be a hindrance to him when he is unable to control his mouth for more then five seconds. This has probably been the biggest hindrance to his love life then anything else.
When it comes to combat and fights Raymonds attitude is "If you can avoid a fight, do so." He doesn't like to fight but when he does he likes to fight like he is a force of nature. He is slow, steady, and ferocious. He fights with tricks, snares, hindrances, and widdles down the enemy using small amounts of energy to wear them down. If able he would turn their power against them or have another party fight his fight for him. If he can gain an advantage by having allies or tools that would help him win a fight he would do it. He doesn't like to fight directly and would prefer to avoid that but when cornered he has stood his ground.
When fighting with allies he likes to have a plan of attack. Whether it is his plan or someone else he likes having a plan of attack beyond "Charge in spells blazing". He likes to play the support role when fighting with others supporting their efforts and shielding them from harm with his magic. He doesn't like to play the front man or lead the offence but because he dislikes direct combat and because his magic isn't particularly well suited for offence except in certain circumstances.
Raymond doesn't particularly care who is in charge as long as they aren't trying to bully him into doing stuff. He likes his freedom and to make his own choices. To him there is a leader that leads because people want him to and leaders that lead because they force people to let them. To him the difference is all in being asked instead of being told. He's pretty amenable when working with a leader instead of being forced to work for a leader. This attitude...has had some bad consequences for Raymond. Many lead and expect people to follow but Ray doesn't let people push him around so he has ended up on the bad side of more then one political figure.
Leadership as a goal has never appealed to Raymond. He doesn't really want the responsibilities as it would feel too much like a noose. He likes his freedom and although he can take lead in moments and short intervals he wouldn't want the long haul responsibility of leader in a group. If time ever forced him into such a situation he would likely delegate most of the responsibilities to assistants and others so that he would have the freedom to move about as he wants.

Appearance: Raymond has a wiry build of one that is in shape but perhaps doesn't eat enough food. He isn't skin and bones but rather just has a powerful metabolism. Combine his above average height with this wiry frame of a body and he can often look awkward. It is the body of results in which one gets from running, walking, and other strong cardiovascular activities. A person taking a closer look would notice that he is actually in very fit condition and that his wiry body is incredibly flexible and nimble. Small cuts and abrasions can be found around his body. His hands are calloused from a lot of use and it is evident that Raymond has had to rough it up in his life.
His typical clothing is simple to say the least. He wears a black tank top shirt with a sleeveless red vest to cover the black tank top. He has overalls on but leaves the straps to fall to his sides. Plain white socks and red shoes dawn his feet and he completes the ensemble with a pair of sharp cut sunglasses. when it gets cold or he needs something warmer he opts out of the black shirt and puts on a white long sleeve shirt and had a cotton red jacket that is build for colder weather.

- Animals - He was literally raised with wolves...and deer...and squirrels...and...
- The Ocean - Someday he wants to sail around the world. He wants to do it with his own power though, the only problem is...he knows nothing about sailing.
- Camping - This is his favorite acitvity and likes to go with others camping to show them the wonders of nature.
- Sweets - He's got a major sweet tooth, the sweeter the better.
- Women - Who doesn't want to find love in this lonely world?
- Pets - You would think that he might have a problem with pets and leashes but in reality pets tend to be really happy animals and he's happy for them.
- Breakfast - It is always his biggest meal. He tends to skip supper.
- Nigthtime - He isn't nocturnal or anything he just likes the coolness of the air during a night. The stillness of the shadows, and the quiet sounds of those creatures that fill the darkness with music.
Dislikes:
- Money - He doesn't really care for money and hates the fact that he needs it to keep his home. It destroyed his father and ruined their relationship.
- Polution - This is a given. He is practically nature personified with his Plant magic and ability to talk to animals.
- Deserts - He doesn't like the heat in such places; combine this with the fact there are few animals and vegitation and it tend to make him uncomfortable.
- Cleaning - He's not a fan of tidying up. Sure he will make sure a place is livable but...that's about it.
- Spicy Food - Raymond is not the biggest fan of spicy food. He likes mild at best.
Motivations:
- Freedom - He has a very power reaction to people trying to control others or himself. It isn't that he fights governments but rather when people try to more personally control others. Blackmail, extortion, political muscling that sort of thing.
- Romance - He isn't a one night stand kind of guy. He is looking for the long haul. If only he could only find someone to romance.
- Nature - Not only does he protect people but nature as well. He has always had a deep seeded connection to nature and wants to protect it.
- Women - If a woman is in danger and he finds out about it, odds are he will try to save them.

- Father - He is afraid that one day his father will come for him. He might be of age to be a legal adult on his own but that might not stop his father.
- Mother - He is always afraid that he will let his mother down and fail to fulfill his promise to her.
- Claustriphobia - He doesn't like feeling trapped. As long as he has an avenue of escape he tends to be okay but if closed in on all sides he tends to panic from memories of his past.
- Teleportation - This one causes him quite a bit of trouble being a member of Sabertooth, he is just too nervous about the whole process.
