Special Characteristics: Scars leading from top of spine down the back like branches of a tree, with branches a cool silver and the "trunk" a shaded grey darkening to black in the center like cracks in the wood. Sigil of the Moon on forehead, full circle outline that fills in as the phases of the moon change, and more runes appearing around as moon becomes full(white) or new(black). More runic symbols etches around body on neck, arms, legs, and front, very faint silvery markings until bathed in moonlight, where they become as bright as her back markings. Unusually pointed ears.

Personality: Miss Nui is a bit of a somber half-soul. Constantly under the influence of a being greater than herself, and subjected to its(his?) criticisms and biting wisdom, she tends to be quieter and speaks almost only when spoken to. Make no mistake though, her will is not broken, merely suppressed. She speaks with authority and honesty when necessary. just not very loudly. Her mannerisms and speech clearly indicate a forlorn and deeply clever person under the shy demeanor. She tends to be more mysterious than anything, speaking in riddles or displaying a foresight into topics that could only be described as esoteric, as if she could see more than most in a glance. This trait also makes her quite floaty and less capable of understanding dire consequences, as her level of emotions are significantly lower than most. As such, she doesn't feel happiness, sadness, anger, or despair nearly as much as other people. She feels no need to aid or discourage, no doubt troubles her mind, and she doesn't think that urgency is a requirement for any activity. She does, however, still feel the need for social activity, a remnant of her old self wanting strong bonds between herself and others. So while she may not strike up a conversation directly, she might actively put herself in the position to be talked to. She likes to be included despite generally not having anything to add, perhaps as a way to spite her other half. Even so, she does drift off away from people on occasion when something catches her eye or when she's led astray.

Her state of mind in combat does not change much. She tends to be a very direct combatant, even with her magic, staying in the fight and taking the most capable opponent for her skills. Whether leading or following orders, she seems not to be phased, and not even solely interested in the goals or motivations behind the orders. This makes her quite loyal, as she joins a cause or battle purely for the alliance with someone else and the chance to collect souls. As simple and bland as it might seem, she's actually quite a blank slate when it comes to tactics. That could be because she doesn't do as much fighting as Nox. Her fighting style incorporates quick, powerful strikes dealt with slow, deliberate calculation, never hurried, but always deadly when unexpected. Nox on the other hand favors a berserk fury most of the time, overcoming its opponent with sheer power and consuming them if able, or rending them if not. It cares not for any action or idea of its host, and when summoned shows a distinct lack of friend or foe recognition, and it doesn't take orders from anyone. Perhaps the worst thing to happen to Shira is the fact that her Magic is a double edged sword, and so she relies so much more on her own capabilities than her guardian's overwhelming power. She doesn't agree with the price that must be paid in order to use it.

Likes:

• The Moon - She loves watching it, and thinking about how it reflects light.
  
• Night - Obviously following the moon, she loves the feel and quiet of night, and the dark that comes with it. Easy to hide in plain sight.
  
• The colors White and Black - Such simple concepts. One the absence of color, one the abundance of colors. What better to preoccupy her mind?
  

Dislikes:

• Cats - Not her specifically, but Nox. It HATES the little things!
  
• Disability - She hates the inability to do something that needs doing. It eats away at her.
  
• Nox - As much as she needs it now, she hates that she is tied to the creature who's sole purpose is to devour souls and maintain its own life without regard for others.
  

Motivations:

• Souls - One of the paths she's chosen, and the only way to maintain half of her soul, is to feed the best inside.
  
• Understanding - She adores knowledge, learning about the WHYS of the world. So she seeks out information.
  
• Truth - She is on a journey to understand why she is how she is, for she no longer remembers how it happened. And as Nox isn't spilling the beans, she has to find clues in the rubble.
  

Fears:

• Blindness - Despite liking the dark, she fears true, 100% blindness, as her sight is her second best sense, and she doesn't want to lose it.
  
• Giant insects - Smaller ones are easily dispatched, but things bordering on human sized get right into what little emotional nerves she has, and she is likely to panic.
  
• Loneliness/Separation - Perhaps her biggest fear. She's been linked with Nox so long that she can't imagine being alone without it.
  

General Appearance


Height: 5'3"
Weight: 105 lbs.
Hair: Purple, long, and kept in ponytail in the back. Begins fading to a gray and then brightening to a silver as she retains mana, eventually growing even longer.
Eyes: Golden, shifting to silver when at full mana reserves.
Skin Tone: Dark skin
Appearance: Generally a slender, lithe, and graceful figure, not much for heavy lifting but agile as hell. Sigil of the Moon on her forehead, that appears whenever an exchange of mana takes place, changing phases as her reserves empty/fill. The branching, tree-like pact seal on all across her back and down her spine is always visible, and always seems to seethe with some living force, as if whatever lies in the tree on her back is always waiting for release. When anywhere above 25% mana, her hair begins to shift colors from purple to grey, then to silver, then beginning to glow and lengthen as a sort of visual mana bar. At full, her eyes shift to the same silver.
