Angels, Demons and the Aces of Eclipse(Job/Venir)

The male had been within the guild for sometime now, and had risen through the ranks into acehood. Yet despite that the two of them had spoken only a few words in passing. Which was rather strange compared to her prior relationship with the prior Aces of Eclipse Soul. She had known the few others, at least well enough to consider them close friends. However, the newest Ace might as well have been an enigma to her. He couldn't have gotten there without having the guild master's trust but Venir was rather skeptical to say the least. After taking care of some assassins within the guild, assassins who were after Alyia's head, Venir was rather worried for the angel. Alyia was the closest thing to family that memoryless blonde had, and the threat of assassins had rattled her. Enough so that it left her sleepless most nights, half worried that there could still be traitors lurking the in the guild. It was only natural that she was worried for Alyia and a little suspicious of the newest Ace. Though it wasn't only worry that filled her veins but another foreign sort of feeling that she almost didn't accept,


There was a tiny part of her, a small voice in the back of her head that was worried. Small whispers of paranoia that try as she may could not be ignored. "She's replacing you." The young and normally optimistic girl held a frown, was Alyia truly trying to replace her with Cirven? The rational part of her mind told her no but the doubt still lingered like a plague upon her mind. It was strong enough for her to take actions that she normally wouldn't have: Venir had actually taken to tailing after Cirven, just far away enough that she'd avoid detection. She justified her actions by saying that it was for the guild masters safety but that wasn't the whole truth of the matter. She was jealous and worried that he was stealing her friend away. Still, it was rather tough work following after someone especially in her childish form where her legs could only carry her so fast. She had only been following him for a little while, just long enough to see his pet Wyvern gobble up another set of Wyvern's and take off with what it didn't finish. While it wasn't pleasant to Venir it certainly wasn't something that she could bring up to Alyia as proof of his potential treachery.Letting out a tiny sigh she continued after him for a while longer, beginning to think that she might be too paranoid. Suddenly, a bright light shone far from where Venir stood, it was closer to Cirven but she couldn't discern what it was.

Venir kept watch, eyeing over the slayer from a distance. Even from a distance she could tell that even he was rather stumped at the sudden light. His confusion did not stop her from being suspicious though, "He could be acting." She mused and crept closer to get a better look. The light was inviting, as if it wanted both her and Cirven to draw closer to it. The young mage repressed the urge and turned her red eyes away from it. Perhaps not looking at the light would stop her from wanting to go over to it. Instead she focused her crimson stare on her fellow perplexed Ace. He had at first chosen to pick up a rock only further confusing Venir until he had tossed it at the light.


She inwardly gasped, peeking out from her spot behind the tree watching to see if anything came out of the portal. The portal had hardly stirred despite throwing a rock into it. "I should get Alyia." She had just turned to go back to the guild and grab her guild master when she saw Cirven quite literally get sucked into the portal. "Ah!" She shrieked, eyes widening. She stood there for a moment or two, flailing her arms unsure of what to do in this sort of situation. There could be a trap on the other side of the portal! Cirven could be in trouble or he could be the one setting the trap or maybe he was playing a joke on her! Then again if she went and grabbed Alyia for nothing she was sure the angel wouldn't be very happy with her. Glancing back at the distant hall of Eclipse Soul, Venir could only sigh and look back at the light that beckoned her closer. Once it was within arm's reach Venir reached a hand out, her fingertips brushing against the light feeling a slight warmth from it. Apparently, even the slightest touch was enough to activate it, and soon enough Venir found herself getting dragged into the light as well. Only this time the light disappeared once it had sucked the young mage in.


She had said it more out of instinct rather than pain. She had hit something that vaguely felt like the earth though it was a bit to squishy to have been the ground. "Why would it just drop me like that? Rude." The platinum blonde girl rubbed at the back of her head slowly opening her red eyes to see her surroundings. Apparently, she hadn't landed on the ground and instead found herself on top of the very person she was spying upon earlier. "E-Eh?" She seemed a bit shocked, and was even more so when she looked around. "D-Did we die and go to heaven!?" She blurted out after spotting the people with the angel like wings, reminding her of Alyia. Would Alyia be able to visit them up here even though they were dead?
