Special Characteristics: Advent has no particular special characteristics, he doesn't have any scars or strange marks or tattoos, he's just a normal looking kid. Except of course if you are counting that enormous hat he wears, Advent is basically never seen without his wizard hat which is a pretty blatant public statement of his wizarding ways.
Personality
Advent is ultimately a good guy, he cares about those around him and he looks after his friends, he is a very loyal person to have around but to put his philosophy of life in to one word it would be "Entertainment". Advent is the sort of kid that likes to have a good time, he can be serious when it is necessary but cracking jokes and over reacting are all a part of his character, he's not someone who is going to respond well to the hard ass types out there, in fact he's going to do his best to get them to crack a smile, it's something that has gotten him into trouble before on occasion.
I've mentioned that Advent is a loyal man, this stems from a code of honour he holds, he believes that a promise is binding and will never break it if there is anything he can do to see it through, even to his detriment. This extends to anyone and anything so a promise to a friend is no different than a promise to an enemy...Or perhaps a frenemy. Advent is usually a pretty laid back guy but there are two things that instantly give him a desire to kick ass; the first is finding someone that he can have a good and genuine fight with, Advent loves to test his mettle and brawling with random strangers is the best way, everyone knows that. The second is if anyone insults his hat, now this thing might be comically large and sort of paints him as a bit of a massive weirdo, but, that really doesn't change the fact that Advent thinks it looks super awesome and loves it almost more than life itself.
Now if we were to talk battle, Advent has a lot of battle sense and awareness, he might be a bonehead in practically every other part of his life yes, I will give you that. But when it comes to fighting and kicking the hell out of a lifelong friend or just some random passerby who insulted your glorious hat, you can't deny that the kid has made it an art form, he's ridiculously astute along with having a lifetime's (A short one yes but hey) worth of experience brawling with anyone who wants to shut him up. It's given Advent a certain level of grit and determination, the willpower to drive on despite injury or the lack of any possibility of victory, he won't stop until he's either made to or he cuts down the foe.
Advent typically likes to mix up his attacks to keep his opponent guessing and tries to make it difficult to predict where the next strike is going to come from, his magic and weapon skills give him the opportunity to fight effectively from both range and close quarters. This provides an opportunity to drag the fight out, as much as Advent is a fighter and a hothead, he isn't a hot headed fighter meaning that he forces opponents to fight at his pace, the kid slows the pace of battle down and draws it out in order to give his magic the chance to kick in and cause the damage it is truly capable of over time. What this has required to perfect is a very high level of defensive skill meaning that Advent has had to learn how to observe and predict his enemies, how to bait them and how to faint, when to block and when to parry, when to swipe and when to thrust. Ultimately, he struggles to cause a lot of damage in a short time and so has to be able to control his opponent in order to achieve a victory which has forced him to become a very proficient fighter.
Likes
- Elminster - For those confused this is the name of Advent's hat, his huge and drooping pointed wizard's hat which hangs almost two feet from his head all the way around. Elminster makes Advent look cool, it is the ultimate equipment for a wizard and blinds his enemies with its awesomeness whilst inspiring his allies with its elegance. He says.
- Grindelwald - Ah, yes we havn't mentioned this yet, Grindelwald is Advent's sword. It is huge and almost over compensatory in a way, sheathed on the back with straps leading around the chest, the blade stretches from the man's shoulders to practically drag on the floor. The sword itself is battle effective and very intricately designed, there's a clear beauty to the weapon but more than that, Advent loves this thing, it is almost as important as Elminster being that this is a sword which has been handed down within the family as an heirloom. It is said that ther is ancient power hidden within the blade just waiting for the right weilder to prove themselves but Advent is fairly sure that it's just a cool sword.
- Brawling - This has been mentioned but Advent absolutely adores fighting with people, tables, nightstands, animals, monsters, trees or really anything. The young wizard finds a certain sense of entertainment from the experience and we all know how much he values having fun. But it doesn't necessarily just mean physically fighting, a brawl can be fought with insults and your mom jokes as well he Says.
- Honor - Advent keeps his promises, he stops to help little kids who've lost their parents, he runs to the aid of the maiden in distress, he fights for the right to party. If he sees injustice, he feels oathbound to step in... This might be because he's oathbound to step in when he sees injustice.
Dislikes
- Insults to Elminster - Dont. Just don't. This hat is so freaking awesome and if you don't like it you're just jealous.
- Injustice - Advent is an honorable guy, he keeps his promises, he uses his power for good, he helps those that need it. If he sees someone deliberately not doing this or absolutely trying to stop it then he is not going to be too happy with them.
- Liars - Don't lie to the guy, if you don't like him or you don't agree with his course of actions, tell him about it and confront him, Advent can't stand it when someone says one thing and then turns around and does something completely different.
Motivations
- Strength - Advent comes from a long line of adventurers, not all of them have been wizards but they have all gone out there and made a name for themselves, they have earned their own lives and are able to protect themselves as well as their own. Advent just wants to continue this tradition, he cares about those around him and wants to have the strength to help when needed.
- Respect - This is a key part of any man's mental arsenal, he needs to have the respect and trust of those around him, those that know he is more than just a pretty hat and that they can trust him.
- Friendship/Place to Belong - This probably pretty naturally points to a guild and Advent would agree with that, adventurers all have a party of comrades who battle through the hard and laugh through the good. He wants to find a guild that he can call home and comrades that he can call family.
Fears
- His Magic - Surprise! Advent is scared of his own magic, it has the tendency to kill things around him whenever he uses it, things like grass and little tiny squirrels and the like. His magic is a bit of an aberration and so tends to not agree with most life in this world, preferring instead to drain it of said life. That really doesn't live up to Advent's love of honor and doing the right thing, he sort of looks like the bad guy whenever he uses his magic which sucks.
- Rejection - For all his bluster and bravery when it comes to battle, in a situation where he needs something from someone or say if he wants to ask a favour, it all becomes a little much for Advent, he is scared of someone telling him no, imagine if he found a guild that he could finally settle in and they turned around and told him to get lost, he'd practically die on the spot.
- Being Useless - This can extend to a lot of things but what it boils down to is that Advent is worried about any situation that he is just simply no help, he doesn't want to be the guy on the sidelines that relies on his team mates for protection and the thought worries him.
General Appearance

Hair: Advent's hair is a deep red, it is worn loosely as he generally isn't bothered how it looks and is more concerned that it just doesn't get in his way. He does however have relatively long bangs whilst the rest of the hair is kept short, his careless attitude towards it means that it is quite messy and full of spikes.

Epic Hat
We've talked about this alot but it really is the first thing people will generally notice... Advent wears a very wide brimmed wizard's hat called Elminster, it isn't particularly ornate, simply black with gold lining and a bit of detail work thrown in, there is a cloth band running around the base of the pointed tip which can be used to hold things if you really have no where else to put them. Under the brim of Elminster can be seen the face of Advent, he's not a bad looking guy, in fact he's rather striking what with his sharp features and wide toothy grin, it's just that a lot of people get put off by the fact his hat is usually covering his eyes. When this isn't the case you can find a pair of narrow emerald eyes staring back out at you.
Moving on to the clothing choice, he wears mostly browns in terms of a colour palette so monochomatic is his choice, pretty boring but at least it isn't too hard on the eyes. The clothes themselves are more or less as can be seen in the image, with a scarf tightened up over his chin and trailing down his spine. Strapped to the wizard's back is Grindelwald, the huge and ornate sword with belts extending around Advent's chest to keep it secured on to him, there's the occasional clang and clank when he walks as it bobs around but not really a massive inconvenience.
