Even though feline's favored him, beasts in general were lured in by Gil's charm, or his own ability to seem like the alpha. The puppy was no exception to this, if anything it seemed to be even more affected by it than other creatures. "Come here." Still, crouched the tall blonde beckoned the puppy forward. Slowly, but surely the little creature edged its way closer, ears perked up as it stared at the crimson eyed mage. Finally, Gil's fingertips met with a wet snout, that cautiously sniffed at the elegant hand until its tongue licked it once, twice, and then it began to rub its head along the backside of his open palm.
Gil's face contorted into an expression to match his feeling, but his hand went to scratch at the back of the puppy's ears. They remained like this for a few moments, the puppys affection was pleasing, its genuine excitement at having received Gil's attention and aid was almost.... charming. "You're not so bad...." He muttered picking the small canine up with a single hand before cradling it in his two arms, the creature already getting settled in the comfort of his arms. Just as the canine had fallen victim to Gil's alpha like qualities, it would appear that the blonde fell victim to the charms of the puppy. This little ball of fur was certainly not going back to its owners, not after they had lost the cursed thing in the Spooky Forest, it deserved a much better master. What better was there than Gil himself?
"Gross."
