Shadow watched as the small wyvern was summoned by the gold haired man. 'Master, he deems that shrimp to be a true wyvern.' he said to Kateri with a rather disgusted voice. 'You wanna play with it?' Kateri asked with a rather amused voice. Shadow rarely ever cared to join a fray, only doing so when ordered. 'He-he-he...' he responded and began diving directly down into the hot zone. A dark pulsing glow enveloped the small creature, each pulse getting larger than the last as he got closer and closer to his target. A final burst before Shadow would make contact with the fat man would occur. As Shadow emerged from it, he was a longer than a school bus by over half an additional one as well as three feet thick, with forty foot wings. His heavily armored skull rammed directly into Gargas. The man attempted to block the attack with his weight, but found himself being forced back several meters due to the amount of momentum he carried from his pure dead fall moments ago. Before Gargas could get a good grab on the massive creature, Shadow angled himself upwards and took to the sky. As his tail passed by Gargas's stomach he tried to block with an arm for fear of being whacked by it. His arm instead was slashed wide open, coating it in blood and some of Gil's wyvern's poison. The armoured tail, not only a valuable shield, but more often used as a powerful sword was now coated in bloody poison. Shadow spun around, his multiple segments spinning individually as the large creature looped to fly straight down. Gargas was stumbled, the poison in his arm, accompanied by the force of the blows he'd been dealt weren't providing him many opportunities to attack. Shadow slammed his massive skull against Gargas, causing him to grab his now bleeding head and be wrapped around in a deadly coil. Meanwhile, Kateri watched the events unfolding through her scope. At the moment, if she fired with so much movement about the battle she would be liable to take someone's head off. Or worse, demolishing Shadow's tail. Granted it was insanely thick, one shot from her sniper and that tail would be little more than splinters.

Re: Trouble Brewing
Seikatsu saw as his allies jumped into the fight against Gargas. The male who decided to help them in exchange for cash and a favor was evidently a summoner much like himself. The male called out a small-ish wyvern, a more traditional one who was seemingly just an infant. Had it been fully grown it would've been much, much larger and not so compliant. Afterwards, he'd seen Shadow, the true being he needed to speak with when this was over, enlarge to his gargantuan size. Shadow was so large, his sword like tail alone would have been all that was needed to be larger than Gil's wyvern, the rest of him was just overkill. Shadow had slammed is head into Gargas, which didn't surprise Seikatsu much... that armoured thing was easily the best thing to skull bash someone with. What did surprise Seikatsu was not only how far Gargas's fat ass was pushed back, but the simple fact that Shadow had enough force behind him to counter how heavy the leviathan of a man was. It was then that Shadow displayed how sharp his tail was, creating a large gash in Gargas's arm before performing another skull bash, and then utilizing his length and snake genes to coil himself around Gargas. Doing so forced the man to stay still, making him unable to even use the keg of booze he'd been holding onto. Seikatsu casually walked over to the man, looking at the arm that was bent between to of the coils, obviously broken as the bend was between the elbow and the wrist. He then ensured that Gargas would never be able to use the arm should he break free, but making a quick cut with his Thorn of Betrayal and removing the hand entirely. "Who-who the hell'ar yew people!?" Gargas screamed from inside the coils. Seikatsu's voice was level, monotone and emotionless as he said "We are members of different factions. We three are a collection of a legal guild, one who cares not for the petty squabbles between the two, and one who likely sits on the opposing side of the first. We are peace, chaos, life, and death. For now, we are your judges. However, Gargas the moonshiner, I refuse to kill you. Not that I deem you worthy of life, but rather, your neck is not worthy of my blade."
Seikatsu slashed Gargas's legs as they poked out from under Shadow's tight coils, causing the mass to drop the the ground as the soul wizard walked back to the bar. The only other thing showing was the large man's head, and a few pieces of his torso. Should their ally decide to kill him, Shadow would release the body, if not he would coil tighter and finish the job.

I'm the one that you wanted I'm your King - @Y'all - - 377 Words - - Rightful King - | "Tch." Gil crossed his arms over his chest at the side of the ebony Wyvern, much too large for his own tastes. Regardless, of that Wyvern's strength compared to his own Gil would never admit defeat, or acknowledge that something was better than his. Just as the girl had raised that creature from the time it hatched, Gil had a similar bond to his own scaled beast. All of his summons were not just creatures that he could summon from memory and a bit of mana. They were all creatures in which Gil had met through his various travels, and all of them had to be physically tamed. He had wrestled with the largest of tigers, raced against cheetah's, and had more venomous words to say than the poisonous Wyvern. Out of all his summons that creature was one of the most tough ones to tame, they were proud and their wings and claws were deadly. Yet somehow, whether it be through his natural charm to the beast or his own strength Gil had got the creature to bow its head to him. Thus, it was only natural that Gil was more than content with his summon, and the dark Wyvern's sudden growth would do nothing to change that. The white scaled creature belonging to Gil gave a hiss, flapping its wings in warning as the other approached. It's own long slender tail tightened about the giant man's arm, it's spear like end coated in poison dug into skin. Yet the other longer creature was coiling about the man leaving little to no room for it to remain locked onto his arm. With a warning snap of its jaws accompanied with another screech like hiss, Gil's Wyvern detached its claws and fled back to its master, curling up about his feet watching with discontent golden eyes. "Hmph." The blonde raised his chin in a proud manner, averting his crimson eyes. Just as his ally was above killing the giant of a man, Gil too deemed himself above such a lowly act. "As if I'd waste any more of my time with this pathetic excuse for a man." One hand had found itself slicking his hair back as the other brushed along the shining scales of his summon. |

Re: Trouble Brewing
Kateri watched as both men refused to kill their target. She slowly placed her sniper back on the gun rack, where the enchantment would automatically reload the weapons for her. She then hopped over the railing between the bell of the bell tower and the roof, allowing herself to slide down the clay roof and over the edge. As she was a few dozen meters from the ground, Kateri whirled cold winds around her rapidly to slow her fall, gracefully landing on the ground with her boots making a light tap. She began walking over to her opponent and the two men who were nearby, passing Gil and his own wyvern that was rather beautiful. She passed her father who didn't seem to have taken much damage, guess it comes with the territory of being a summoner... or he only gets his ass destroyed when a certain grey haired wizard is around... She looked at the man tangled in Shadow's coils with a or two limb missing, and several broken bones. "... My old guild master never once stood for murder. On that aspect we're quite different, as I have no problem with it." Kateri said with her arms crossed under her cloak. "However, there was a little trick he did that I read about a few times in the guild reports when I..... 'borrowed' some of the guild's job reports." she said afterwards with a slight smile on her face.
An icy wind began to stir around Kateri, making the air become frigid and form bits of ice on the ground. "Luckily, one of those reports were very detailed." She said as the hood to her cloak fell down and revealed her eyes glowing pure white. Shadow immediately released the man, allowing him to crumble to the ground, trying to use brute strength to get up without using his arms. Kateri placed a hand on the ground, causing several ice spikes to fly up and hold Gargas in place. If the large man wanted he could have hopped away as the ice only served to make him stand. Ice formed on his body, creeping up his legs and arms, leading to his back. The ice seeped in, freezing his nerves and permanently making it so he'd rely on other people. The broken arm was frozen so badly that where it had broken shattered, leaving an ice covered stump and officially reducing Gargas to little more than a head with a torso. "As a member of Lamia Scale, I use the knowledge I've obtained to permanently judge you unworthy of a good life. I also use my former guild master's authority to judge you unworthy of death, as my comrades have also done. You will spend the remainder of your life relying on people to feed you, give you water, take you to the toilet and wipe your ass. Goodbye." Kateri said with a strong voice. Shadow landed next to her, tilting his head so she can mount properly. She waved to Seikatsu, and the large wyvern took off.

Re: Trouble Brewing
Seikatsu watched with a saddened expression as his daughter, and Shadow left. He was in the prime position to tell them what he needed to, the right time to let Shadow know of his mother's death, but instead he was too hesitant to do it. He let out a sigh as his opportunity to speak flew off, becoming one with the winds and clouds as it became little more than a black dot on the morning's light. The golden rays began to creep over the town as Seikatsu looked to his ally, the up coming light revealed Seikatsu's demonic mark on his cheek and caused it to begin glowing with a dark, crimson aura. This aura flowed gently, as if taking the debris from in front a creek allows it to flow once more. It moved down his cheek, behind his jaw and down to his back where a much larger mark, partly covered by his bandages began to glow. The glow then flowed from the larger mark up the shoulder, opposite the mark on his face, and down his arm to a final mark. It was a smaller version of the one on his back, and resembled a demon's face as it began glowing with the same crimson energy. "Hopes and dreams are on the winds, but I am on the ground." Seikatsu said in a hushed tone as he looked in the direction Kateri and Shadow flew off in. He then walked towards the bar, moving past the now worthless moonshiner Gargas, who was trying to talk but it was coming out gargled as if he'd had a severe stroke. Entering the bar, the bartender from the day before came out from the beer storage room with a smile. "You all came through! Not a single drop of beer stolen!" he said joyously. "Good tidings outlander, Gargas is no longer capable of bringing your business harm." Seikatsu said with a very blank voice, portraying no emotion despite him saying it was good news. "You killed him?" the bartender asked. "No, but one of us has left him as nothing greater than a gelatinous vegetable." Seikatsu responded, his voice still blank and monotoned. The bartender passed Seikatsu his share, looking for the other two. "The girl, my daughter, has left. If her cut isn't sent to Lamia Scale Guild Hall with her name on it, and I hear of it, I'll convert your head into a mobile toilet." Seikatsu said as he walked out the door. He then proceeded to walk in the direction of Kateri's guild, still having news to give her.

Re: Trouble Brewing
I'm the one that you wanted I'm your King - @Y'all - - 368 Words - - Rightful King - | Seeing as neither Gil nor the bandaged man wanted to finish off Gargas the task was left to the blue haired girl, and her over sized wyvern. As she brushed past him, Gil's wyvern gave a low hiss before disappearing with a golden flash of light leaving the blonde alone but not entirely defenseless. He simply didn't want to spend anymore energy than necessary keeping out a creature if there was no point to it, unless of course Kateri couldn't finish the giant of a man off. Making a noise of distaste, Gil slid his hands into his pockets as the temperature seemed to drop at the girl's command. "An ice mage. She ought to try and cool Yugi off." He made a mental note to try and have the two meet someday, with any luck one of them might end up killing the other. "A fate worse than death." A pitiful state in which Gil Vessalius would have chosen death over, though of course the chance of something like that happening to a man such as Gil was slim to none. To have to permanently rely on others, to be helpless? It was truly shameful but suited Gargas who seemed to be nothing more than an over grown, alcoholic child. Kateri had departed upon the back of the ebony wyvern leaving Gil with the less than sociable man. The same man who was already departing towards the bar. "I need a drink anyways." Might as well have a taste of the very liquid they were trying to protect. Naturally, the blonde waited a few moments before following after, he didn't want to seem like some lost puppy. Just as Gil entered, Seikatsu had seemed to exit with his own portion of the reward. They merely brushed shoulders but Gil did not say a word, their temporary camaraderie forgotten now that their job was over. Naturally though, Gil would not forget either of them. "An ice mage from Lamia Scale, and a summoner who seems to have no allegiance to anyone." It was without a doubt that he'd meet them again but first he had a reward, alcohol, and a favor to collect. |

Re: Trouble Brewing
Kateri frowned as she got further away from her father, knowing that something was wrong. 'You do understand what was wrong, right master?' Shadow asked Kateri using their telepathic bond, his deep voice making her feel a bit at ease as it reminded her she's not alone on the thought. "What ya' think had him on edge?" Kateri asked, deciding to speak out loud since no one else was around. 'Mother has perished.' he replied, his tone showed no signs of grieving. "That's not a problem for you?" Kateri asked, having noticed the lack of hurt. 'Our kind does not grieve when another passes, even if they're blood. We will see our loved ones in the next life.' Shadow said, his tone gave Kateri hope that there was actually an afterlife, and all she knew wasn't a lie. 'Besides...' Shadow said, interrupting Kateri's train of thought. "Hmm?" She said, not exactly used to Shadow being the chatty type. 'Mother was your father's partner. It is his responsibility to grieve for her. I belong to you master, and should the same fat befall you I'll stop at nothing to fulfill your dying wish.' He said, finishing his already started comment. Kateri's cheeks turned a slight red color, the thought of someone being willing to go through great lengths on her account were something she wasn't prepared to find out about. "Then I want you to survive, and bring your kind back." Kateri ordered her pet. 'It will be done.' Shadow said in Kateri's head with a confident, purpose filled tone.
After a few more miles of flying, Kateri remembered that Shadow felt the urge to show off a bit earlier, and decided to poke some fun. "So... about your boyfriend back there..." she said to Shadow with a playful voice. 'Master, you know I'm not gay...' he responded with an irritated tone. "Oh, so is that why you wanted to show off so badly?" she came back at Shadow snidely. 'The boy was young and foolhardy, I simply wished to demonstrate true power to him.' Shadow replied. "Whatever you say..." Kateri said mocking Shadow with a childish smile on her face.
