It seemed Magna wasn't the only one surprised by Aegis' use of Kaya's terminology. Jin too had found it surprising. Kaya however seemed overjoyed. The scene of her running about, Aegis standing there so tall and the laughter from Jin made him laugh as well. The scene was perhaps marred a bit by the corpses and blood that surrounded them, but it was still funny. Or perhaps they were just laughing out of relief? After all, anything was better than focusing on the horror around them. However, his laughter stopped when he heard the explanation or lack of one about Iza's own magic. Glacier God Slayer. From his journies he'd heard of dragon slayers and heard that two other slayer types existed. Those that existed to slay demons and those who wielded their element to slay the very god's themselves. It was a magic he'd doubted existed. How could one kill a god? It just didn't make sense. However, here she was proclaiming herself as one of their number. One specializing in ice no less. He wasn't sure exactly how to react to it so he decided to ever so slightly change the topic.
"So it seems all three of us can use coldness in one way or another. I bet we can come up with some amazing recipes with our magic as the ingredients." he said with a smile. Yes, now that he had said that and moved the conversation on he didn't feel bad about her magic or negative towards it. It had just caught him off guard. However, the possibilities of that magic combined with his and Jin's were vast. He'd heard once of a lake whose deepest dwelling inahabitants emitted some sort of of chemical that turned the lake into a natural, rich and creamy soup stock. It even warmed it slightly. It was said that in that pond a mythical creature resided, one that was rare and sought after yet impossible to catch. However, one day the lake had frozen over and the fish was caught. He'd tried fish supposedly caught from that lake and it was indeed delicious though he'd never managed to visit the lake himself. He had a fondness for fish in his cuisine and the ability to freeze a lake and thus fish out further into it was invaluable. HE didn't have that kind of power and he doubted Jin or Iza had, but together...it might just be possible.
Before he had too long to dwell on this thought however there was the sound of a loud roar and suddenly from a pile of rubble one of the large scaled creaturest burst fourth. As it charged towards them from the amongst the corpses of the dead emerged four more of the infected dogs. Their edge was their speed and their numbers. Magna suddenly moved swiftly around the group so that he was first in line with the approaching creatures. As they got in range he used one of his newly devised spells. "King sleep Fragrance." From his hand a smoke-like mist was launched that was 10m wide and covered a distance of 30m. As the dogs entered this cloud they inhaled it and yawned once before all falling down sleeping. The larger creature however was not put to sleep and charged through it like it was nothing. However, as it charged its speed did slow somewhat.
"Whatever you do don't breathe in the mist." Magna warned as he threw himself to the side to avoid the charging creature. Aegis however did not have that particular issue and threw himself straight at the creature going for a powerful headbutt. The creature however was not stunred by the blow, even in its less alert state, as Aegis had hoped and he himself was thrown back.
"Its heavier and bigger than the last one." he said as he rose to his feet using his axe shaft as a prop. The creature, after sending Aegis flying, did in fact stop. It turned back and fourth quickly between the targets before lunging at what it thought was the weakest. Kaya.
