Due to some loopholes being used with it, you are no longer able to be in multiple usergroups (guilds/guildless/etc) at the same time. You can only be in 1 group at any time.

This new rule has been added to the Magic Rules.
Damage Resistance: Across all of your magics, abilities, and equipment, your Damage Resistance may only cap out at 50% maximum. Only in special cases, such as with good drawbacks, long cooldowns, IoTM/Event rewards, custom lineages, etc. could one potentially get away with up to 75%. Mods are careful to check all of your abilities and equipment to make sure you do not exceed the cap.
Staff have noticed some loopholes and abuse with Damage Resistance/Reduction, and have decided to give it a hard cap. In the long run, this will not effect much. However, if your character has a number above the cap, you might be requested to change it.

Due to constant confusion on what Tertiary can do, I have redone the rules to it to specify that it is UNUSABLE for combat. It's meant as something cool/flashy/funny outside of combat and geared more towards social and fun stuff to do.
It is now possible to gain access to tertiary at B rank as well.

- The Job Creation Template has been edited in the 'Typical Player Requirements' and 'Typical Rewards' sections.
Jobs will be mostly based on total wordcount now more than by postcount requirements. This system is optional, however, and the former requirements are still up for those who prefer.
The jewel rewards have been slightly increased, along with a clarification on equipment and abilities that are awarded in jobs.

- The dark guild, Grim Heresy, is no longer an "Invite Only" guild; they have opened their doors to the public under one condition: it is required of new members to PM the GM of Grim Heresy to sort out their introduction/joining thread. Thus, GH is considered a "Request Access" guild.

- Guild Funds are no longer allowed to be used for individual players. Guilds may purchase items from the shops that affect the guild entirely (Ace slots, the item trains, etc.)
Guild can buy for other guilds as well, or even split prices to help others pay.
Jewels may still be used for EVENTS for the guild, but the rewards must be brought to the admins so that they may discuss it.

- What is the Mentor System?:
The mentor system is a site system in which a higher ranking member of the site takes on a mentee in order to help them rank up. Think of this system as a buddy system, where a person pairs up with another to help them get associated with doing jobs and ranking up. It is beneficial to both players, and who knows, a person may get a permanent rp partner out of the situation as well. Upon taking up a mentor/mentee, the receiving party will get a bonus depending on whether they are a mentor or a mentee. However, when it comes to the mentoring system, as much as there are benefits to this, there are a few restrictions as well. Higher ranking members that take on a mentee must be A-rank or higher, and mentees can be no higher than B-rank. It is also the case that when a mentee reaches A-rank, both the mentor and the mentee will lose their bonuses when the mentee was B-rank or lower.
What is the point?:
The point of the mentoring system is to create a bond between players, rank the lower members up, and help with any plots. By taking on a lower ranked member of the site as a mentee, the mentor is essentially helping them adjust to the site’s workings. It is also helping this member to rank up their character faster than they would if they were soloing their way to A-rank. Likewise, it’s also a great way to get any plot/job partners out of the situation as a person will be doing jobs with this character to rank them up. On the plus side, mentor/mentee bonds do not need to be broken upon the mentee reaching A-rank, the bond can continue, but at the cost of losing the bonuses. Afterwhich, the mentoring system can then be considered a buddy system, where the mentor can teach the mentee the workings of the site until they’re ready to go on their own. However, this part of the system is optional and mentor/mentee bonds can be broken at any point in time if the players so decide.
How does it work?:
At any point in time, a member of the site, B-rank or lower, can declare a higher ranking member of the site as their mentor. This is under the circumstance that the other member agrees to the mentor/mentee bond and that it isn’t just a random member declaring such a thing. There will be a thread in which a person can sign up their mentor/mentee relationship and the mods will approve it for them. Mentors can pick their mentees, just as mentees can pick their mentors; there is nothing preventing them from picking their own. However, under the circumstance that a mentee chooses a dark mentor or a dark mentor chooses a legal mentee, this must be run by staff. It is due to the difference in factions that causes this type of mentor/mentee relationship to be run by staff as it is not logical for a dark to mentor a legal. Mind you, all a person has to do is explain the reasoning behind the relationship and staff will determine if it’s a good reason.
There is no limit to how many mentees a mentor can have, but there is a limit of two being able to be mentored at a time. Any mentor/mentee relationships kept after the mentee reaches A-rank does not count toward the limit of how many can be mentored at once.
What are the bonuses?:
Bonuses. . . that’s what you’re here for, right? Okay, so upon getting a mentor/mentee relationship, each member will receive a type of bonus:
Mentees:
Mentees will receive an exp bonus on the job they are taken on; however, the job must be of their rank or one rank above theirs. They must also prove in the job that they are trying and that they aren’t just letting their mentor do all of the work for them. In the case that both of these are acceptable situations, the mentee will receive double exp for the job they did with their mentor. If the job they take is two ranks above their own, then the bonus exp is void and they receive the exp from the job they took, but lose the jewels. Double and Triple exp jobs, that are two ranks above the mentee’s rank, cannot be taken, but can be taken if they are their rank or one above. Though if this is done, the mentee loses the exp bonus and will instead receive the triple or double exp that the job gives. The exp bonus is lost upon the mentee reaching A-rank, but does not automatically mean the mentee/mentor relationship is over.
Mentors:
Mentors will receive a jewel bonus from the job they take with their mentee, regardless of the rank that the job is. For instance, if the mentor takes the mentee on a D, C, B, or A-rank job, they receive double the jewels that the job gives. However, it is under the circumstance that the mentor does not practically solo the thread, in which they will receive the jewels. It is also upon the mentee becoming A-rank that the mentor will lose the jewel bonus and the mentor/mentee relationship becomes plot material. They do not receive any jewels upon the mentee ranking up, as they did not help with the exam, they only helped them reach the exp for that rank. Mentors are only able to bring their mentee on jobs that are up to A-rank in order to help their mentee move up in the ranks. Though, this becomes void upon the mentee reaching A-rank, and the mentor/mentee can go on any jobs respective to their ranks (i.e. A + A can go on S-rank jobs).
In Battle:
If a mentee is fighting a stronger opponent than themselves, they may call in their mentor for aid against the opponent. This can only be done if the battle the mentee is in is with the boss of the thread and cannot be done with any other opponents. Likewise, this can only be done once per thread and it can only be done if the player deems that the boss is too much to handle alone. As for normal missions, the mentee, passively receives a 25% buff to their defense and strength in order to complete the mission. This buff will only last for the mission and will only occur if they are on the mission with their mentor, never when they’re alone. Neither is this buff permanent, as the buff will become void upon the mentee reaching A-rank like the rest of the bonuses.
Higher Ranked Missions:
Under the circumstance that the mentor takes their mentee on a mission that is two ranks above the mentee’s own rank, the requirement becomes larger. Both players, meaning both the mentee and the mentor, must add an additional 5 posts to their mission post count, regardless the 2-rank-higher mission it is. So, a mission that is, say, 30 posts long and 300 words per post, would become a mission that is 40 posts long and 300 words per post. This only affects missions that are two ranks above the mentee’s rank, so any missions lower than two ranks do not have the added requirement.
Restrictions:- Mentees cannot be taken on missions that are two ranks of above their own that also give double or triple exp
- Lacrima milks cannot be used on missions that are taken with a mentor as the mentee already receives a double exp bonus
- Team and guild bonuses do not stack with the mentor bonus because of the double exp the mentee receives upon job completion
Staff will not handle any discrepancies between mentees and mentors; that must be handled responsibly between the members.- Older rules:
- General Rules wrote:What is it? A mentor is a high rank player of At least A Rank or higher that takes lower ranked players on requests with them to get the lower players prepared to rp and increase their skills. Requests taken with a mentor will have a bonus to exp for the mentee and a bonus to jewels for the mentor.
What is the Point? The point of this system is to help create bonds between lower ranked players and the higher ones and to help the lower rank mages rank up so they can take on bigger missions and grow. Lower Ranked Players who take on missions with the higher ranks can even take on missions two ranks above them if their mentor is with them.
How it Works Players who sign up to be a mentor will roll a dice. The dice roll that matches theirs or is closest will determine their mentee. The first 6 Mentors signed up with be used for the first 6 mentees. This is to help players who have not actually met each other form bonds and expand their characters horizon. Kind of like a big brother/sister system.
Mentors will have the option to pick their prospected mentee but must make a formal request to a member of staff. Mentors who don't have an idea for a mentee must roll.
Exp Bonus
The Mentees on request with their mentors will receive one rank bonus to their exp reward as long as they try and the mod grading the mission determines they deserve it. (Ex, C missions will reward 100 instead of 50) If the Mentor and Mentee take a mission 2 Ranks above the Mentee there is no Exp bonus. Just the basic. It the basic reward will only be given if the players rp effectively and help each other due to to the Mentee's lower power.
Jewel Bonus
The Mentors will receive double jewel rewards for missions taken with their Mentee as long as they don't basically solo the request. The Mentee must have the same amount of posts or more then the Mentor. If a Mentor helps a mentee fulfill the required exp to rank up jewels will be rewarded to them for their effort.
D to C: 10000 Jewels
C to B: 50000 Jewels
B to A: 100000 Jewels
In Battle
In Battle with a stronger opponent and teamed with their Mentor, the lower ranked mages will receive a passive 25% bonus to defense and strength to help them complete the mission without dying.
About Higher Ranked Missions
If a mentor and Mentee take on a mission two ranks higher then the mentee they still receive the exp but the Mentee loses all jewel reward from that mission. Also both players must have 5 additional posts to the requirement for completion. No mentee can do missions higher then A.
Other Perks:
Call For Help! Once per thread and only during a boss battle, Mentees can call their Mentors to assist in a mission. They can only used this when the boss is too much to handle.
Restrictions
Mentors can only mentor three players all together and never at the same time. Once the third mentee hits A Rank, the mentor can not have another Mentee.

Originally, a person was only allowed 1 noncombat pet; however, since that didn't make much sense with how useless noncombat pets are, this has been changed. You can now have unlimited noncombat pets, but only 1 noncombat pet can be in a thread at a time.

Alright folks, a big change has been implemented in terms of equipment slots on FTRP.
WAT was currently:
1 Weapon/Pet/Armor of Strong and Legendary
2 Artifacts maximum
Has been changed to:
2 Strongs (per weapon, armor, item, pet)
2 Legendary (per weapon, armor, item, pet)
1 Artifact EACH (per weapon, armor, item, pet)
This means that you are capable of owning a Strong Weapon and a Strong+ weapon at the same time. Also, instead of owning only 2 artifacts maximum, requiring you to decide WAT you want as your artifact. Now you can have 1 Artifact Weapon, Armor, Item, AND Pet at the same time.
Weak Equipment is still unlimited
Mythical is still only 1 over all of your accounts.
Where Multipart Weapons are concerned
Now that you are allowed to have multiple slots, You cannot make a Multipart Weapon using a Legendary Weapon, Legendary Weapon, and Legendary Item. You cannot use the same-strength of equipment for your multi-part weapon.
Every part HAS to be unique!
You can make a Multipart using: Legendary Weapon, Legendary Item, Strong Weapon..
Any multipart weapon that doesn't have a unique part will be denied.
IMPORTANT: You still cannot use Armor or Pets when it comes to creating a Multipart Weapon. Only Weapon pieces and Items may be used in the creation of a Multipart Weapon.
Addendum:
For being allowed to own 2 legendary weapons, you can only bring one of them into a thread. This allows you to OWN 2 legendary weapons. However, you're only allowed to bring 1 of them into a thread. For artifacts, you're allowed to bring in all of your artifacts AS LONG AS they are of different categories such as: Weapon, Armor, Item, Pet. This means you cannot have 2 artifact weapons in a single thread.
You are still allowed to trade these for signature spells (The Armor, Weapon, and Item) if you desire. But, remember "7. You may only trade one of each rank armor and weapon slot for a signature spell."
