Jin always wanted to help people, consequently he wanted to become a reliable person. Jin hadn’t known Rei for long but her words had made him extremely happy. She relied on Jin and wasn’t scared of what awaited them. ”I won’t let any harm come to you. As a mage of Black Rose, I will protect my friends” he said as he looked at the shop. There was nothing about the shop that made it different from a normal pawnshop. Ironically, in light of the recent information that made it all the more suspicious. ”Rei-chan…” he said as he stepped a little closer to her, ”…we have company”. Though the thugs were hiding but thanks to Jin’s experience he was able to sense their presence. Call it a veteran’s experience.
Meanwhile, Kaya was dealing with a brain freeze. A few moments ago, thanks to her greed when Rei wasn’t looking, she had taken a large bite off the ice cream and finished it. Her movements were so quick in doing so that even Jin hadn’t noticed it. She held her head as the pain circulated in it for a little while. Jin noticed that the thugs comprised of all of the individuals they had asked about the jewels. Apparently, they were all in on the deal and had gathered here awaiting the arrival of the Black Rose mages. The shop’s door opened and the owner came out with a mace in his hand along with a confident grin on his face. It appeared that these thugs believed that their numbers were the only thing that they needed to take down Jin and Rei.
”So I hear the Rising Star Okura Jin is asking around about some kind of jewels with a little girl”, the leader began to speak. ”What business does a dog of the magic council have with some stolen jewels anyway?”, it was a futile attempt to provoke Jin. He had been in too many situations to see through his opponent’s plan right away. He didn’t deem them worthy of a reply, Jin waited until Kaya finally returned to normal.
Jin and Kaya prepared for battle, to even the odds a bit more, two warriors appeared by Jin’ side. First was the appearance of two large smoke clouds as they faded away, the warriors appeared. One of them was a lady he had once summoned before: with a large whip and provocative clothing. Her clothing was revealing enough to make all the men besides Jin drool over her once. Besides her clothing, she was a great warrior and was best for crowd control. So even though he didn’t want to, he still had to summon her just to be sure. The other summoned warrior was a new one, one whose abilities were unknown. The other summoned warrior was a muscular individual, more taller than Jin. His height was about over 6 feet and he wore a cloth over his entire face, leaving room only for a single eye. Unlike the previous times, this warrior had decided to appear on his own. ”Strange, this has never happened before” he thought but now there was no way to alter it.
The warriors that Jin could summon were thanks to his lineage. He could summon warriors who had fought alongside or against his ancestor. This particular warrior was the one that his ancestor had once fought and defeated. This individual was a faithful servant of the demon abaddon and due to some strange connection, he had found his way through Jin’s ability. However, for him to be able to use his weapon, he needed the ethernano of someone who was also related to abaddon. The weapon that this warrior had allowed him to create a barrier of sorts. This barrier could later be used for offensive and defensive means. The one eye that was visible on his face continuously stared at the little girl that stood beside him.
Jin assumed that the muscular structure of this warrior would be enough. He wasn’t aware of the secrets of the warrior he had just summoned.
