    Job Description:

The Forgotten Deserts, a place full of heat, sand, and lost history. Through the night skies of this sea of sand and ruin rode a certain gray-haired mage on a glowing white horse that appeared to be made of smoke , followed over head by a wyvern that carried his partner for this particular adventure.

Dmitry Kazakov was thankful that he and Katerii had chosen the cover of darkness for this mission, as crossing that desert on foot with the sun bearing down on him would have been miserable, even for him. Though he can acclimate to just about any natural environment, this wasn't a place that one got used to. They could soon see the ruins of an ancient city, almost completely swallowed up by the dunes that made their way across this desert. The spirit horse that Dmitry rode, Alsvinder, would have been spotted do to the glow that he took from the moonlight, so the two members of Lamia Scale opted to land near the start of the ruins. As Dmitry dismounted the lunar horse and let it disappear, he looked about the half buried structures around him.

'That's succession for you,' the spirit mage heard Hati say. 'No matter how big this city was, the desert will inevitably consume it.'

Dmitry new this well, as he had passed by an uncountable amount of ruins in his travels prior to joining his guild. "Let's go," he called to Katerii as she dismounted Shadow.

Kateri had been flying over Dmitry for a while now, her black Wyvern considerably less obvious than the glowing white horse Dmitry rode. She held no concerns for being seen, he black cloak and shadow both blended in flawlessly with the night sky. The only method by which you'd notice them is while gazing at stars you noticed the patch of black moving across the sky. There wasn't a single star in sight, so that wasn't even a viable option. Kateri noticed Dmitry land and begin getting off his horse and she landed nearby, shadow getting smaller as Kateri approached Dmitry.

Kateri knelt down next to Dmitry, marveling at the calm emptiness of the desert. "One day grand in size, the next consumed by the mother. Brutal, yet beautiful..." Kateri muttered, still taking in the land around her. She cleared her voice and looked at Dmitry, her black hood concealing all by her mouth and chin. "So, how we gonna do this? I could use my rifle to keep an eye out, and relay information to you? Or I could go in with you and possibly be useless?" Kateri said, giving a small giggle at the last one. She shifted her weight so all of it wasn't on her one knee as Shadow finally caught up after resizing himself. Kateri set her hand on his head and rubbed it gently. "You could also take shadow in with you. He and I share a bond like none other, I can literally see through his eyes. Being so small, he could sneak around much easier than either of us." Kateri added as another viable option.

(OOC: Kateri is spelled wit only 1 "I" had to use 2 cause the name was taken.

What was left of the ancient city didn't encompass much and it wasn't long before Dmitry spotted a few white turbans milling about, letting him know that they were likely near the hideout of this so called 'Cartel'. He considered Kateri's words as he observed the many places one could use to get closer to the area without getting spotted. The young, yet experienced Mage thought about going with her plan, before remembering the reputation these guys seemed to hold. They was no way he was getting in and out of that place with just the wyvern as back up; they needed to be prepared for anything.

"Both," he said. After Kateri's reaction, he turned to her and explained in detail. "I'll move in close and take out their sentries, while you keep an eye on things from a distance. Once that's done, you move after me and we enter the base together." Dmitry looked back at the area that seemed to be the entrance, judging from the movements of the guards. "The simple truth is, we have no idea what they've got down there and underestimating your opponent is a mighty fast way to get yourself killed." He decided it might also be good to have some extra eyes on the area and whispered an invocation.

"I invoke the Twin Ravens: Huginn. Muninn." The smoke-like birds flew silently into the night and began circling the area overhead. Dmitry then began moving towards the entrance to the base, using the ruined buildings along the way as cover.

Kateri wasn't too thrilled about not being able to see what was happening, and sent Shadow to fly with the two ravens. Shadow was considerably darker, and didn't let off any of the smokey stuff that Dmitry's summons seemed to create. Once the miniature wyvern had gotten over top of the building, Kateri enabled her telepathic link with the creature allowing her to see through his eyes. 'That big guy wit the gold on him might be the boss... then there's two kinda wimpy looking people out front....' Kateri thought to herself. "Shadow, get in a bit closer." Kateri whispered, using the cold winds she creates to carry her orders. Shadow did as instructed and landed on the side of the building. He crawled down and got about as close as he would go before the fear of giving away his position would take over.

"You know... I probably should have stayed home. Bein' out here, just so damn hot. I mean it's pretty nice at night, but... but damn sun..." one of the guys were complaining. "Good, stay there." Kateri whispered to Shadow again. "I know how you feel. Not enough that we gotta haul their crap, take shit, and shovel it too. We have to stay out half the night and make sure coyote's don't attack the others in their sleep." the other said. "Yeah, by letting the dogs kill us." the first one added.

"I don't know if you can hear, but it doesn't sound like they like their job very much Mr. Kazakov... But I still think we should kill them to ensure they don't scream to the big guy that we're here..." Kateri said to Dmitry, hoping for his input.

Dmitry had managed to get close to the entrance of the base, a building with only two stories sticking out of the sand. However, he couldn't quite get close without alerting the fools out front, so he focused on the bond he shared with the Huginn and Muninn, allowing him to see what they saw. From their eyes, he could make out what was most likely their leader going through a window that hadn't been fully buried. Inspecting the troops, huh? Dmitry thought. It seemed he wouldn't be able to take them out up close and if Kateri fired it would likely alert the others. Unfortunately, he would have to use up more magic power to get rid of these two effectively. After he was certain the leader was out of earshot, the spirit mage had Huginn and Muninn hone in on the unfortunate recruits.

"What the fu-" The poor bastard was cut short by a spectral knife entering his trachea, smoke trailing behind it. Before the other could react, another blade lodged itself between his eyes, killing him instantly. The man who was hit in the throat squirmed on the ground as the knife disappeared and his blood freely left his body. Dmitry walked up to him before stomping on the side of his neck and twisting his heal into the man's spine, ensuring it snapped all the way through. While Dmitry didn't care much about mercy, he knew by now that Kateri didn't enjoy watching people suffer. He then waited for his partner to make her way over.

Kateri moved in after Dmitry had signaled the guards were disposed of. Shadow waited on the roof for Kateri to arrive before jumping onto her out stretched arm, the sudden weight change causing her arm to dip a little. She looked at the two dead guys on the ground and through a series of very long, arduous tests (she saw a snapped neck, and a knife in the face) she determined they were dead. She had Shadow move in ahead of her, using their telekinetic bond she saw no danger. Kateri went in and pulled her 'Big Surprise' out for that moment where she'd have to take someone out.

Kateri too some time to examine the structure of the building. It had a sandstone color, and seemed to be using arcs and pillars. There weren't many cracks in the walls, so it couldn't have been older than a few decades but for reasons Kateri couldn't begin to fathom it used such old architecture that it was damned to fade away. Shadow went around a corner and Kateri initiated her link with him. Kateri whispered to Dmitry "There's a couple of them walking away..." using the cold winds to carry the sound so it would be louder than a whisper on his end, but nothing more than a whisper to anyone else.

Post by Benjamin 15th July 2015, 9:24 pm

Dmitry regretted having to use Huginn and Muninn so early, but there wasn't a better solution at the time. He would just have to rely on his own ability to stay hidden.

'Come now, boy,' He heard the old man say. 'Do you really need magic to do that?'

'Yeah, yeah, I get it you old fart.' Dmitry responded.

He moved into the old building, keeping to the direction that Kateri indicated. It wasn't long before he saw two of the cartel's 'esteemed' members moving down the open, torch lit hall ahead of them. The summoner decided to stay hidden a hallway the two passed and listen in on what they were saying, as they weren't exactly whispering.

"So, you seen that crate-o-lacrima we grabbed?" One of them asked.

"Nah, not yet. Where they keepin' it?" His compatriot asked back.

"Down in the basement, took forever to get the stuff down there since the whole shipment's the size of a small house. We can stop by if ya want, the stairs are right up ahead." The fool pointed towards the the stairs that led to the basement. Dmitry pulled out the cursed knife that was in his boot and began moving towards the two thugs.

These two were far more experienced than the recruits he and Kateri encountered at the entrance, which made for a fitting test of Dmitry's blade. He began to run before firing a wisp at the man on the left's knee, forcing him to the ground. As he cried out, the other turned and began to draw his weapon in response, releasing a definite intent to kill. Dmitry's knife, Dark Fang let off a black glow as he swung it diagonally in a reverse grip. The 6 ft, reddish-black stream of manifested malevolence cut deep into both the men's chests, the force of it throwing them on there backs, though they still lived.

"Up to you, Kat..." Dmitry said, referring to whether or not they should be spared. While he wasn't cruel by any means, Dmitry had little concept of morality, due to his upbringing.

Kateri walked over to the two men calmly, her black hooded cloak concealing all but her mouth, chin, and boots. The boots made little noise as they moved across the sand covered floors, and Kateri didn't make a sound in response to her partner's decision to let her choose their fates. Kateri put her 'Big Surprise' in its holster, and a metallic sound emerged from under her cloak as Kateri drew her sword. The blade was a little longer than her forearm, but not nearly as long as her entire arm and had a moderate curve to it. She stopped in front of the two men clutching their chests, the blood from their wounds already soaking their clothes. She looked at them with her purple eyes seeming a bit more menacing than normal as she asked "Do you wish to live?" in a tone that was a bit lower than she usually was. The men looked at her, quivering in fear and one spoke up. "P-please, k-kill me." the man said, the blood from his wound causing him to ask for a quicker death than the one he was receiving. Kateri knelt down in front of him and pressed her sword to his throat. "Find comfort in your death kin. Mother will protect your soul." Kateri said in a slow, ominous tone. She quickly jerked the blade across his throat, the sharpness of the blade and the weight causing it to cut just to his spine. He was dead within a few moments, and Kateri turned to the other who had yet to speak. "In death there is no pain, only weightlessness as your soul is removed of its burdens." Kateri said as she pressed her sword against the man's throat. He began to scream "Wait! No! N-" but was cut off when Kateri has sliced his neck wide open, the blood gurgling out his words. Kateri stood up and flicked the blood off her sword before sheathing it. She gestured to Dmitry to lead the way, allowing him to take the lead knowing that she'll be watching his back.

Dmitry watched Kateri mete out her 'mercy', unable to understand the purpose of such an execution. Why not just kill them and be done with it? However, he didn't have time to ponder the issue as he could hear fast approaching footsteps.

"You bastards!" Dmitry turned just in time avoid a scimitar veering for his neck at an angle, ducking to the left and proceeding to stick his knife's 5 in blade in the wielder's knee. He switched to a straight grip before pulling the knife out so he could slash the man's throat, but was cut off by a hammer slamming into his left shoulder, dislocating it. The mage spun back a few feet, dropped his knife, and caught it by the blade, all before throwing it into the hammer wielder's bicep to buy himself some time. As the somewhat large man worked to dislodge the blade that was thoroughly embedded in his arm, Dmitry prepared his spell.

"I invoke the World Serpent: Jormangand!" The massive, smoke-like snake spewed forth, grabbing the man in it's powerful jaws and slamming him into the ground, cracking the stone beneath. It then slammed it's head side ways into the sword user just as he was staggering to his feet, knocking him into a nearby wall and cracking it as well. Finally, it reared it's head towards the enemy that slipped past Dmitry and engaged Kateri, closing in and dealing a final blow with it's enormous fangs. As it did so, Dmitry walked up to a pillar and grimaced for what he was about to do. The hardened survivor grit his teeth and slammed his shoulder into the stone support, forcing it back into it's joint. While most would shriek in pain, Dmitry only let out an intense growl against his grit teeth, having done this before. After that, he retrieved Dark Fang from where the hammer wielder had tossed it before getting maimed by Jormangand, who rejoined Dmitry after dropping the corpse of the man who had attacked Kateri.

"That can't be all of them..." He murmured as he prepared for the next wave that was sure to respond to the noise.

Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii) Empty Re: Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii)

Post by Azurius Tade 15th July 2015, 11:14 pm

Kateri heard a set of footsteps approaching from one of the directions. The echoing in the hall made it hard to decipher where from, but the appearing of two men wielding a scimitar and a hammer made the direction quite clear. Kateri stepped forward and waited for her aggressors to approach while keeping her hand on the blade under her cloak. Normally she'd just shoot them, but she didn't want to risk losing the element of surprise entirely, all because she felt like making a quick kill with the hand cannon of destiny. The man with a hammer got in close, while the other was running a bit behind. This tactic was to distract the opponent while the other sneaks around, one that her father had taught her. Shadow slipped out of her cloak and flew, sticking to the ceiling to stay out of reach. Kateri waited for the man with the hammer to get close, and as he did he attempted to swing with the hammer. Kateri dropped to a knee while spinning on it as she drew her sword. The result was a quick slash across his pelvis that didn't go too deep, but definitely let the man know Kateri wasn't fresh blood. While standing up, Kateri slashed up the man's back and then ran her sword through his heart finishing the kill.

Shadow saw the second man a foot or so away from Kateri getting ready to cleave at her. The black wyvern dropped from the ceiling and latched onto the victim's head, and slammed his sword like tail into the swordsman's collar bone. Kateri came up behind the swordsman and slammed her sword inside his heart, attempting to go all the way through. The blade only stopped part ways, as she couldn't provide enough force to break the sternum. She ripped the sword out and the man fell to the ground, she wanted to smile, but while she had also hit the first aggressor, Kateri hadn't noticed the very edge of the hammer leave a scratch on her face. 'I wasn't fast enough.' Kateri said to herself, feeling like a partial failure.

Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii) Empty Re: Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii)

Post by Benjamin 16th July 2015, 3:37 am

"Now ain't the time to be worried about scratches, Kat," Dmitry called back to the younger mage. "It's nowhere near over..." His words were confirmed by six grunts headed turning the corner, no doubt enraged by the presence of intruders. "How the hell did they...IS THAT A FREAKIN' SNAKE?!" Naturally, only two of them went for Kateri, thinking that Dmitry and Jormangand were the greater threat. A foolish mistake on the part of those two, but it did let the medium focus without worrying over his charge. Three of his targets went for Jormangand and only one was after him, another mistake.

The fool brought down his hammer in an attempt to crush Dmitry's skull, but he easily side-stepped it and at the same time swiped Dark Fang across the man's stomach. He then moved behind the man and stuck the blade into his kidney, before removing it and impaling the back of his opponents skull for good measure. Jormangand simply swiped the row of enemies with his head, though this wasn't enough to kill them. So the massive serpent bit into one of the grounded swordsmen before flinging him at one of his allies at high speed. Jormangand then brought it's tail up into the air and slammed a larger portion than the tip down onto the thug that was hit with his friend, releasing a sick crunch. The last fool had gotten up and was futilely charging towards beast. The spirit given form simply smacked him aside with his tail, knocking him towards Dmitry, who stopped the rolling body with his foot, hoisted up the hammer left behind by his prior opponent, and brought it down on the man's head. After that, the waves stopped for the time being, giving Dmitry a chance to rest.

"How ya doin' back there, Jr.?"

Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii) Empty Re: Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii)

Post by Azurius Tade 16th July 2015, 5:54 pm

Kateri heard as the men approached and turned around, her mind still focused on the blood she rubbed off her face. She lifted her gaze just in time to see a blade swinging at her, Shadow immediately flew in the way, using his tail to block while bracing himself against Kateri. Kateri had snapped to after getting over the shock of her friend saving her life, and draw her sword forcing the man to back off. Shadow caught himself as he fell and immediately went for the attacker's throat. Kateri swiftly moved aside as a hammer was brought down from behind her, wondering when he'd gotten there. The hammer moved to the side, and Kateri quickly pulled out her Small Package and used her sword to block the attack, and then pressed the barrel to the man's head and pulled the trigger. The sound of the round being released from the chamber echoed through the halls, Kateri then realized what she'd done. Shadow had locked himself on the man's throat and the man was pulling him off. He made screaming sounds as the flesh was being torn from his neck by the razor sharp fangs of the wyvern. Kateri turned to Dmitry with her eyes glowing white. "I think I may have shook the hive... just a little" she said, referring to her having fired her gun inside the building. She quickly reloaded her weapon and got prepared for the next wave that she was absolutely sure was coming.

Sighed heavily as the shot rang out through the halls of the base; so much for that rest.

"Change of plans," Dmitry said to the one who let off said shot. "We're gonna have to make a break for the lacrima!" The two mages then dashed towards the stairs, only to have it blocked by four fools who were in the middle of responding to loud noise they heard. It seemed about four more were coming from behind Dmitry and Kat in an attempt to ensnare the two.

"Take care of the ones behind us!" The older of the two shouted to the younger. "I got the ones up here!"  Jormangand dove into the narrow stairway they attempted to pile out of and slammed into the front of the mob head first. The posse of swordsmen we're thrown into each other and down the painfully long stairs before the World Serpent slammed on top of them once again on it's way through the following hall, Dmitry running over them shortly after. The mage followed the snake through the hallway which went on for about 20 ft before making a turn to the right. After that, it was another 15 ft before Jormangand was busting through the stone doors of the basement, an enormous crate within. On top of said crate, sat the mages gold clad friend from earlier.

"Well, well. Mighty ballsy of you two to come here and pay us a visit..."

Kateri followed the instruction of her mission partner and began running towards the four men running towards her. They were spread out in the hall in a linear pattern meaning they came from different areas. "Shadow, take the second and third ones." Kateri said to her wyvern while running. Shadow took off, flying faster than Kateri was running and went right past the first of the men. The man first in line turned around as the tiny creature bolted past him, Kateri spotting the perfect opportunity went for the kill. Kateri slammed her sword into the man's back with all her might, only sending it a good four inches or so in. The man began turning with his hammer to hit Kateri, her shifting her weight Kateri flipped over his shoulder and pulled the sword out. The man turned back around and faced the barrel of her single shot pistol. Kateri pulled the trigger and put a hole in the man's head, standing in place as she opened the pistol and ejected the used round. She stuffed the next bullet in, and began racing towards the fourth man.

Meanwhile, Shadow had been knocked out of the air when a hammer hit him between his first pair of wings. Reacting quickly, Shadow dodged a foot being slammed down where he was by rolling over. He shook off the pain between his wings and flew towards the man, and latched on his legs. The man began stomping all over as Shadow tore open his pants. Shadow crawled up the pant leg and slammed his jaws on a strange protrusion in the... pelvic region, spitting out the disgusting item and crawled further up. The man was now hunched over unable to breath from the immense pain from Shadows biting off of his manhood, this pain was soon ended as the wyvern slashed the man's throat and flew off to his next opponent flying next to Kateri who also killed her first opponent.

Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii) Empty Re: Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii)

Post by Benjamin 18th July 2015, 11:08 pm

Dmitry mentally kicked himself for not checking behind him, as he noticed that Kateri wasn't in the room with him. Her father would kill him if she got hurt, but he'd just have to trust her on this one. Still, the man sitting on the crate in front of him used the word 'two', meaning he knew Dmitry had a partner. If that was the case, then he had been waiting for them this whole time. Whoever this guy was, he wasn't any ordinary criminal.

"So, I heard you're one of the guys who took down Scourge." The man said in a rather easy going tone, prompting Dmitry to remember the events of Quanny village. "That guy always was to cocky for his own good. But I wonder...can you pull the same trick with me?"

After those words were spoken, a scimitar flew towards the back of Dmitry's neck like a guillotine, slicing the summoner's head clean off his shoulders. The decapitated corpse flopped to the ground and the mage's head rolled away him, as blood began to quickly flow out onto the floor.

Dmitry's eyes widened and he quickly ducked down to avoid the blade that would spell his beheading. Jormangand quickly surrounded him, blocking two other blades with his body, before disappearing from the damage. Dmitry burst out of the smokey remnants of the serpent's corporeal form at full sprint. "I invoke the Swift Hawk: Vedfolnir!" The smoke-like hawk appeared and flew up at the telekinetic mage like a bullet, forcing him to leap of the crate and land about 20 ft from Dmitry, as if he were floating down. Vedfolnir was able to curve back around and tail the apparent cartel leader, delivering a glancing blow to the shoulder. In a fit of rage, he slung two of the scimitars at the bird of prey, but was unable to land a single blow. After evading the misfired blades, it came back around at blinding speeds and hit the man across his left side, leaving a gash. This time, he manged to slice threw the spectral raptor with a clean shot. Unfortunately for him, he didn't notice Dmitry shortening the distance between them by seven feet. Just as his enemy noticed him, the Lamia Scale mage swung Dark Fang in front of him in his usual reverse grip and unleashed the intense malevolence that had built up from the Cartel boss' frustration with Vedfolnir, resulting in a 12 ft stream of darkness that tore across the ground and cut across the boss' chest.

The telekinetic stumbled backwards a few feet and grinned, before snickering a little. "Not bad pal," He said in a gruff voice. "But I'm afraid that's just not enough..." After that, he unleashed a blast of telekinetic force that launched Dmitry into the crate, cracking the panels a bit and eliciting a grunt of pain from the mage.

Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii) Empty Re: Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii)

Post by Azurius Tade 19th July 2015, 6:07 pm

Kateri charged towards the target Shadow was supposed to kill, hiding shadow behind her, and made it look as though she were going to make a swing for him. The man instinctively swung his scimitar in hopes of blocking the false attack, but was thrown horribly off balance when Kateri ducked while spinning behind him. The man slipped on the sandy floor and hit the floor hard, kicking up some sand from the force of his impact. Kateri kept running towards the original target that she had agreed on taking down, and he was charging at her. Shadow used Kateri's distraction to latch onto the silly man's face and tried slashing him a few times, but the man grabbed Shadow and threw him into a wall. The small wyvern wasn't experience enough to know to use his wings to catch himself, so he hit the wall hard, his armoured skull making a distinct conking sound as it slammed into the wall.

Kateri and the man locked swords with each other, Kateri's skill only pacified by the man's strength. Kateri pulled back on her sword and then pushed forward with it, a nice little trick her father taught her after learning it from a mutual friend. The trick caused the man at first to ease up on his attack thinking she were going to attack from a new direction, but no one ever expects the attack to come from the same direction as where the sword already is. The man blacked the attack and stumbled back a bit, Kateri using this moment to her advantage pulled out her ten shooter ad pressed the massive barrel to his stomach and fired away. She fired a good six or so shots in his stomach, the kick from the gun making the last bullet hit his chest, and the man slumped over. Kateri walked to his back and pressed the big surprise to the back of his head. "Mother awaits your soul." Kateri said ominously and pulled the trigger again. The round wasn't very large or powerful so it didn't make a mess of the place, but it was enough to kill the swordsman.

Shadow had gotten back up, seeing the other man charging for his master and quickly darted for him. Shadow had a perfect line of sight attack to the back of the man's neck, and he slammed his jaws hard on it sending multiple rows of razor sharp teeth into the spine. The man's spine pierced, he was paralyzed and could do little more than make a few whimpering sounds as the wyvern slowly wrapped his tail around the swordsman's throat. The sharp edge of Shadow's tail pressed in slowly, and then a quick jerk sent a squirt of blood across the hall. Kateri ran past Shadow, who immediately started flying after her, and got running to help Dmitry if he needed it.

Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii) Empty Re: Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii)

Post by Benjamin 19th July 2015, 9:40 pm

The spirit mage fell from where he hit the crate and landed on all fours, groaning from the pain in his back. He looked up just in time to avoid one of his enemy's gold runed swords that was flying straight at his face, the blade embedding in the wooden panels behind him. He quickly scrambled away from where he was, narrowly avoiding two more blades. It seemed that cut across his chest was limiting the Cartel boss' aim, which was an enormously good omen for Dmitry.

"I invoke the Great Wolf: Hati!" The massive canine appeared and began charging at the boss, evading the blades he sent with ease. Instead of going straight after the sword master, Hati charged right by him, leaving a powerful wake that felt like a sledge hammer in the enemy's right side. This shook the criminal, allowing Dmitry just enough time to get in close with his knife. Though the boss was able to bring a sword back to his hand just in time to swing it at Dmitry's head, the move was something the summoner expected and he ducked under it before slashing across his target's right side, doubling the pain the man received from Hati's sprint. The man reeled back from the enormous pain, his right swing now half as good as it normally was. He responded by pulling another blade to his left hand, allowing him to easily block the thrust that Dmitry followed up with after his last attack. After that, boss swung at his foe's torso diagonally with the right blade, though it was a haphazard attack. Dmitry took two steps back just in time to avoid the full brunt of the slash, but still took a shallow wound going down his chest and gut. The Lamian mage stumbled back a few feet from the wound, but grinned as Hati leaped up from behind the sword wielding telekinetic and latched on to his shoulder, the weight of the enormous wolf bring the man to his knees as blood began to cover the gold he was wearing. After that, the sadistic spirit bit down hard, releasing a loud crack and a louder shriek of pain as the boss' clavicle was crushed.

With am angry roar, he unleashed a telekinetic wave in all directions, sending Hati flying out of the room and into the hall that Kateri was likely running through now, dissipating into a smoky cloud thereafter. Dmitry was thrown back about 10 ft, landing hard on his back once again.

Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii) Empty Re: Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii)

Post by Azurius Tade 20th July 2015, 9:38 pm

Kateri had arrived to the doorway to where all the fighting was taking place when she saw a large, smokey wolf slam into the wall a few inches from her. Her initial reaction was flinching upon seeing the random thing pop out of nowhere, and then realizing that her ally might need help when she noticed it was a summon. Kateri looked up and saw that the hall was clear of anymore flying dogs. She began running down the hall to arrive in a room with a rather ornate man standing before her. "So the other one finally shows. Your boyfriend's been taking all the pain for you, such a nice boy." the man said with a slight chuckle. Kateri didn't say a word, she simply looked to where he pointed and saw Dmitry on his back, a bit bloody but nothing Kateri couldn't manage. Kateri put her hand out and helped her ally get up, "You know lying down on the job's not allowed." she said with a smart-ass tone while smiling. Kateri clapped her hands together and a cold wind kicked up in the room, causing the walls to begin freezing. The room quickly filled with a blizzard that went as fast as it came, the walls covered in beautiful ice pillars that sparkled, and resonated with Kateri's magic. For unknown reasons, it seemed to empower her allies with increased strength.

Kateri separated her hands and then knelt down and placed a palm to the ground with eyes closed. The room filled with lights of different colors, as well as a strange cold air. The frost caused Dmitry's wounds freeze over, cold enough to freeze long enough for the blood to clot before melting away. The air wasn't so bad that it caused others to feel it, but it was... soothing. A golden scimitar was headed directly for Kateri's head when Shadow teleported her to the other side of the room. Kateri was slightly surprised as the weapon came out of nowhere, she quickly pulled out her ten shooter and fired all ten shots at the ornate man, several hitting his legs and causing him to stumble.

Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii) Empty Re: Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii)

Post by Benjamin 20th July 2015, 11:30 pm

Dmitry took his partner's hand and got to his feet, still holding the knife he managed to keep his grip on through the previous blast. "Oh don't worry, I'll be doin' plenty of lyin' down once this is over." He said, holding the wound on his torso. Thankfully, Kateri's next spell stopped the bleeding of said wound, eliminating one more worry from the situation. "Much obliged, Kat." He said, thankful for the fix. Immediately after he said that, one of his wounded opponents blades flew at Kateri from behind, luckily missing as Shadow teleported her away just in time. They sword turned to Dmitry and made a buzz saw like motion, moving at towards Dmitry at a slightly reduced speed. The spirit summoner jumped out of the way before it gored him, firing a wisp at it when it came back around. The blade, thrown off course by the impact, embedded itself in the ground next to Dmitry.

He grabbed the sword's grip with his left hand and pulled it out from the floor as he charged at his enemy, enraged by the attempt on his friends life. The King of Thieves launched another blade at him, but the young mage knocked it to the left with the scimitar he pulled from the ground. As Dmitry closed in, it seemed his enemy was determined to fight, as he reared back his left hand and swung the sword it held at the charging youth. In one fluid motion, the medium parried the King's attack to the right, turned 270 degrees, and buried Dark fang into the man's throat. In a similar motion, he ripped the blade out, turned in the opposite direction, and sliced his foe's gut open with the scimitar. Dmitry took a few steps back as the man fell to his knees, holding in his own entrails. He looked up at the summoner, coughing a little and mouthed something before falling to the ground: Not Bad...

Dmitry dropped the blade at the corpse of his opponent, reflecting on the intense will he showed. Now that he thought about it, he probably wasn't all that different from this man. The only thing that truly separated them was the fact that one of them was still standing. But there wasn't any point dwelling on such things. Returning to the task at hand, Dmitry faced the massive crate of lacrima he and Kateri were there to recover. Frankly, it was large enough to house an entire family, the extended kind included.

"Now, how the Hell are we supposed to move that?"

Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii) Empty Re: Thieving from the King (Dmitry, Katerii)

Post by Azurius Tade 21st July 2015, 12:11 am

Kateri watched as her ally finished off the man in a rather flashy way and didn't even care much for him. She heard him comment on how to move the massive lacrima, to which Kateri pulled her hood off to reveal a large smile. "I've got an idea..." she said as she pulled out her Small Package. The gun became encased in magic energy as the barrel got extremely long, and the gun changed form entirely. "I hope our guild master doesn't have to pay for this level of property damage." Kateri said wide-eyed, her voice giving off the fact that she truly felt that way. Getting into a prone position so the kick doesn't send her flying she prepared to fire. Kateri smiled as she pointed the massive, 20mm sniper rifle at one the wall on the other side of the hall way and pulled the trigger. The shot blasted a massive hole in it, leaving a crater in it's wake. She pulled the bolt on the gun and loaded the next round and continued firing. After all the rounds were expelled, Kateri saw the hole wasn't quite deep enough and converted the gun to something with a bit more power to it. The gun had more magic whirl around it and converted to a massive Railgun. The gun was complete with three, 20kg diamond rounds for her to finish that wall with.

Kateri loaded the first round and flicked the charge switch on it, the round began spinning rapidly as it got super heated and energize. Kateri walked back to a wall, and pressed her back against it while kneeling down on a knee and taking aim. The gun made a high pitched sound and Kateri pulled the trigger, sending the round down the hall and through the last bit of the thick wall. The round continued through several walls before stopping. Kateri repeated the process, ignoring her hurting shoulder, and saw the wall wasn't quite done being stubborn. "Last shot... I'm gonna need an ice pack after this." Kateri said with an exasperated tone. She focused her mind as the railgun became encased in ice, her body giving off an icey mist as the air around her touched her skin. She'd then enhanced the round further with a separate kind of ice property, making her net shot more powerful still. Kateri aimed the gun as the ready to fire alarm sounded off, and she pulled the trigger. The round left the gun, causing the room to shudder from the power behind it, and it impacted the final wall and fired clean through it. "That's not good..." Kateri said ominously as she saw the round didn't stop on the last bit of the wall.

Kateri had Shadow enlarge himself saying "We're gonna need you to make that hole big enough for this thing to fit through." Kateri said in a soft, caring voice to her partner. The wyvern used the claws on his wings, combined with his tail to make the hole a bit bigger than needed. This lengthy process was sped up by Kateri using her sword to do a small bit of digging, as useless as it seemed it was good for Shadow to know that his master didn't make him do ALL the digging. After the hole was enlarged, Kateri asked Shadow to pull the massive lacrima to their destination. Shadow agreed to the task, and Kateri used some of the ropes in the room, and a few attached to the lacrima itself from when the bandits brought it in, to tie it to Shadow, and he pulled the giant crystal all the way home, taking a few breaks here and there. "I really hope no-one got hit by that last shot..." Kateri said with a rather sweet sounding voice. Meanwhile somewhere in hargeon a cabbage seller's cart get's nailed by a large random object, sending his cabbages everywhere in the form of pulp him exclaiming "MY CABBAGES!!!!" from the sight.
