Allison's B Rank Exam! [ Private, Alyia ]

Allison started as the scene changed once again, this time to a dark cave, with huge, pointed rocks hanging down from the ceiling and jutting out of the floor. The red haired girl's curiosity automatically caused her to wonder just what they were, but she soon shook it off and focused, wondering who would appear. Typically Allison couldn't keep this much concentration, but she didn't become angered very often and was very focused when she did. Glaring at the scene, Allison observed as two people flashed into existence, both who seemed to have been from the images previously. Her twin sister, or whoever she had been, wasn't there, and Allison's face just scrunched up even more. This image wasn't familiar to her at all... but wait, what was happening? Blinking in surprise, Allison watched the blonde, who looked very much like Alyia, suddenly catch her foot on one of the tall, miniature obelisk like things. Just as the red haired girl was about to cry out in warning, the blonde picked herself back up and continued to wander around before falling once again and repeating the process over and over.

A few minutes later, however, it seemed that the entire cave was becoming unsteady-- a rumbling was filling Allison's ears, even though it seemed that the blonde hadn't yet realized it. What was she doing? Was she deaf? Tilting her head to the right, Allison's face held nothing but confusion as the images flashed by in front of her. Then all of a sudden one of the large rocks, pointing down from the ceiling, suddenly came loose and plunged down straight towards the blonde, who had just tripped over another of the ones from the floor. It caught her nearly straight in the heart, and Allison sighed. There had been no reason for her to die, for she seemed to be happy-- and by how she was acting, there were people that she didn't want to leave behind. But if that wasn't her time to leave the earth plane, she wouldn't have died-- Allison wasn't a great believer in God or religion of any sort, but she knew that there was a time after death. This girl might be happy while alive, but she would learn to realize that there were other ways to find fulfillment and enjoy herself. A life after death...

"You may find yourself in a happier place once the pain has ended," the red haired girl whispered to the ghostly images. "Pain comes to you know, but the inevitable is the inevitable. Perhaps you have a family that you will miss here, but others could be waiting for you on the other side. Cry if you need to-- plenty will judge you for wanting something which you cannot have, especially if it's life-- but those are ignorant souls who automatically assume they know the reasons for your wanting of that which is impossible to obtain." Turning away, Allison wondered to herself why the rose haired woman hadn't saved the girl. If she had the power to revive, why did she only heal those that were ready to pass on, and refused to save those who were not? Perhaps she worked for a higher power, but the red haired mage only was able to see what was on the surface. And she was content with that, for now at least.

Alyia smiled slightly as she looked down at Allison. She was still slightly in there. Without a second to lose the blonde changed the scene.

The pink haired woman sat down by the dead girl and what seemed like a ghost hovered above them. She had long pink hair and a set of wings that started white and then slowly faded to black at the tips. The ghost though was too solid to be a ghost and had what seemed to be the same feel to her as the young girl did. The angel like girl looked down at the two but suddenly became surprised as the pink haired woman got up and looked right at her and black wings burst from her back. The pink haired spirit could only look at the other angel. She wasn't normal. The angel narrowed her eyes and watched the older woman, they exchanged several words and suddenly the spirit's human body glowed and began to heal and she was absorbed back into the girls body.

The girls eyes flashed open and a she gasped, bringing a quick breath into her lungs. She was alive again. Or qhat one could be assumed to be alive. The blonde looked up at the pinkette and smiles. "Thank you Katherine."

"No problem, Alyia, my grand daughter."

The angel's eyes looked down at Allison, how would she take knowing the name of the girls that she had just watched that she had seen earlier.

Allison blinked as the scene seemed to flash forward a little bit-- the overall setting was the same, but the people involved were in different positions. The blonde that resembled Alyia some what had finally died, and the pink haired woman was looking at another rose haired person who possessed the face of the blonde stranger who had just died. The red haired mage was thoroughly confused by all of this-- how had the girl changed hair colors? Was that her spirit's hair color, or what was happening? Frowning again, Allison simply watched as they conversed for a little bit, and then the younger pink haired female disappeared in a flash as the ugly gouge in the blonde's body was reversed back to its normal appearance.

The red haired girl's face scrunched up upon hearing the blonde thank the pink haired woman. So, she had revived her after all? But... what did the pink haired woman call the blonde? Alyia? That was the name of the stranger she had met in the... the Ancient Ruins, that was what they were called? Allison's mind was clouded with all of these questions, and the girl hated it-- she hardly ever would be willing to dislike anything, and didn't even mind being confused-- but something about these people was just aggravating. Snarling, Allison jumped up and said in an angered, voice, "Katherine and Alyia, why don't you heal the world with that power? Why do you heal anyone at all if you can't heal everyone?" With a start, the red haired mage realized that it had seemed strangely familiar to say the name Katherine. Just like it had felt while saying the name Alyia...

Allison tilted her head slowly to the side and then flopped back down, a serene expression on her face. Oh well, it was too much to think about, and it wasn't as though they would listen, anyways. And whoever Katherine was, the girl didn't care-- it seemed that she was going about, healing just a few people who she either felt sorry for or deemed were supposed to live, Allison didn't approve.

Seeing how the reaction was not what the angel was hoping for she frowned. What was will Allison? She was so stubborn now. She seemed to refuse seeing things from another point of view. With that thought the blonde stood up and her wings flashed open. If the girl couldn't remember how things once had been or see things from different angles, she would never pass. Not only would she never pass but the world would soon start to reject her and if things continued on this path she would be arrested for a murder that she would have though was out of pity.

A single flap sounded around her and she took off in a dive towards the ground. Allison might try to kill her but Alyia knew that she would not fall.

Upon landing on the ground the angel walked up behind her fellow guild mate. "It hurts you know. Not physically so that it can be healed, but emotionally to see people that you could have saved. Katherine could not revive just any person, she couldn't heal everyone either. She can only save those that others from death want to live." Alyia looked up at the images. "You see, I was never revived. No one on the other side wanted me to live and no one on this side except Katherine knew I had died. I am still very much dead." She walked past Allison and to the images where she reached out to touch the paused memory only to have her hand phase through. "With being dead you are still able to feel pain. Though it isn't always yours. The pain of losing a loved one, the pain of feeling that you will never succeed, the pain of people youbloved forgetting." Alyia looked back at Allison, "Do you know how many people you have forgotten?" Alyia started to have the people of Allison's past flash up as the images and stay. Person after person's face came up to rest next to another forgotten face.

Allison waited for the images to change once again, almost to the point where she had simply decided to ignore them-- and then, Alyia suddenly appeared again. She had the same wings that the red haired girl had seen in the images-- and she was somehow so familiar that it was painful, because at the same time she resembled nothing but a stranger. Just blinking and tilting her head slowly to the right, the mage's typical bright smile had vanished, and Allison simply stared stonily at Alyia, waiting for her to speak. As the blonde described why Katherine couldn't revive just anyone, Allison had stopped saying futile words-- she already knew that Katherine wouldn't revive just anyone, and didn't care who she could. And although Alyia said that she wasn't alive, she looked alive-- even if she died, she seemed to be fully in the world of the living. Maybe she was an angel-- angels had wings, right? Why wasn't everyone an angel?

The girl just stared at Alyia, not saying a single word when suddenly, the blonde seemed to switch tactics and began to talk about how many people the red haired mage had forgotten. Of course she didn't remember how many people she had forgotten. After all, people forgot things and others all the time-- ? Then all of a sudden, images began to appear in front of Allison's eyes. They seemed to be within her mind, these ones-- as though Alyia hadn't conjured them or set the stage, but rather was triggering something. Most of them... they showed people. And every image had that same vaguely familiar feeling, like the redhead knew them from some where or had met them and spoken and then... forgotten? Allison's head began to hurt, and she rubbed her eyes, the corners of her mouth turning down into an uncharacteristic frown. Why did her head hurt? Allison never got headaches... she never felt any pain at all-- what was this?

There were so many people-- a boy, with an arrogant posture but an embarrassed, acknowledging smile-- and a girl, with blue hair and short stature. Then again, a whole group of people, welcoming her to some place-- they all had that strange mark, or at least many did. The one that... where had Allison seen it before. Scrunching up her eyes, the girl looked down at her body, eyes zoning in upon her foot. The same pink mark was stamped there, only, it seemed to be somehow less clean, neat-- the feeling was hard to describe, but it didn't possess the same brightness that the others she had seen had. Allison tilted her head back up as more people flooded her mind. So many people... how had she forgotten? There was Alyia, and the rose haired woman, Katherine, along with a few other people-- they seemed to all be associated with each other. And then, there was that boy again, with dark blue brown hair and always that red jacket-- who...?

"Alyia... Alyia-chan, I'm sorry." That was all Allison said, tears streaming down her face, before the mage slumped to the ground, passed out from the shock and moreover, the realization of everything that she had done. Both a long time ago in the past, and just recently-- everything that she had forgotten.

Alyia could only shake her head at her fellow guild mate. "It isn't me you have to appologize to, if is all your friends, your family that you have forgotten that you have to appologize to." The angel smiled sweetly yet sadly, "And you know being the angel of luck isn't fun really, I end up causing people that I have never met pain and then when they least expect it joy. Karma is a bitch right? But, you know. I think... I think that this is your lucky day. You can start all over. This time though I feel as though you will be able to make new memories and keep them. Sure the people behind me were in pain because you couldn't remember them, but you know who you hurt the most?" Another image popped up next to all of the faces this time it was not the face of a person, yet that of a pink cat. Allison's most treasured friend and companion. "Her, she isn't human, but that didn't matter to you or her. You two went everywhere together. Best of buds. And now, she just follows you around, hoping that one day you will remember her. She was with you in the ruins, the pink cat that followed you and seemed to look up sadly at you? She is the one that you hurt the most, because she relies on you. You are her family." Alyia took this time to think of her own stoat and she smiled softly. "Wouldn't you like to remember her again? And the fun times that you spent together?" Alyia looked behind Allison at the pink cat that sat on her haunches, the angel could see how long the animal had waited for her friend to come back to her.

But Alyia was not done, "But you know, you haven't just caused pain for those that you have forgotten, what about the animals that you have killed? They had families too. Their loved ones are now misson them as well. You have killed for a single dropped acorn, a nest that was still warm with eggs that were days away from being hatched. You do not have to kill for ever small thing that may cause someone pain, because I know that there will be luck coming their way to keep it all balanced." Alyia moved a little farther away from Allison and another image appeared, this time is was tangible, very much real. Suddenly squirrel appeared with an acorn in his paws. The squirrel looked really happen until the acorn slipped from his grip and tumbled to the ground. The squirrel chased after it and Alyia could only watch what Allison would do.

(( O.O  This is so weird!  I was planning to have Lel appear a little bit later and have Alli remember her and all of that... lol that's funny cx. ))

Nearly immediately after passing out, Allison awoke again-- after all, the hyper girl couldn't stay off her feet very long.  Bouncing up, the red haired girl beamed brightly, only to be met with Alyia-- whose words immediately brought the smile off of her face.   Blinking in surprise, Allison listened, her face surprisingly neutral.  Then afterwards, Allison bowed her head in an uncharacteristically solemn expression and whispered gently, "I'm sorry."  That was really all that she could do, now-- the past was the past, and all the mage was now able to change were her actions right now, as well as those of the present.  Allison listened to Alyia say something about her own experience being the angel of good fortune and bad alike-- the redhead could easily see how much suffering that could cause, but some how she managed to understand that some pain was necessary, in order to have any happiness at all.  Eternal happiness... was not the complete absence of pain, but rather something totally different.

Just then, another image flashed through Allison's mind-- a beautiful pink feline, purring as she sat next to... Allison?  Frowning, the mage realized that there was a reason the cat seemed to be so familiar, as it had been the same one she had seen in the Ancient Ruins.  Also, on a few of her jobs lately-- like that one with... who was it, Niyol?-- she had been there.  Her name... she was named after someone important.  Allison might be able to make new memories, and it wasn't like her to dwell on the past in any situation-- but remembering these names was important... Katherine?  All of a sudden, it hit her, that the cat was named Lel Therina, or Lel Therine in the proper way.  She could remember it all.  And that made her unbelievable happy.  Just as Allison was about to say something to Alyia, thanking her perhaps, the blonde spoke up again.

As she listened, Allison's face crumpled.  She... she had caused creatures pain?  But that could all be fixed!  She could... burn the whole forest down?  Fix all of the creatures within?  They would never miss their family then, and could be together forever.  Just as she was about to suggest this, Alyia said something about luck later coming their way-- something about a balance.  Considering that she was the angel of luck, Allison decided to do something irrational, atypical for her-- and listened to logic.  As new images flashed through her mind, Allison was brought to a similar scene to the one she had observed on the way here-- the squirrel she had fixed.  Only this time, the squirrel was just an image, and Allison couldn't help it, couldn't stop that pain.  But something happened.  Just as soon as the squirrel seemed to be about to give up, another one hopped over, snatched up the acorn, and presented it with a flourish to the squirrel.  Immediately the two seemed to hit it off, and the red haired mage only watched with wide eyes as the first squirrel's cheerful squeaks suddenly turned to words, and the girl was able to understand that some how, it was much happier than before.  

And Allison had regained the ability to speak to animals.  Glancing around her for the feline she knew would be present, the girl's eyes eventually lighted upon the pink cat, who was sitting behind her only a little ways away.  Walking over at a slow pace with an uncharacteristically serious expression on her face, Allison scooped up the pink cat and gently stroked her head.  "Lel, I'm sorry," was all she said.  And the feline understood, and couldn't bear to hold a grudge against her even despite everything she had witnessed.  Turning back to Alyia, Allison said in her normal bright voice, "The world has a balance it seems, and you're right in that it cannot be disrupted.  So thank you, Alyia.  Not only for this knowledge, but for my memories, and even if not all are recalled--" here, the girl touched her forehead for a moment before lowering her arm, "Thank you for giving me the capacity to make more new ones, that are positive and glowing with happiness."

The blonde angel only nodded at her fellow guild mate. She had done well, she had come to understand the balance of the world and that of the things that lived in it. Not only that but she had also managed to regain her memories and that brought a smile to the angel's face. Yes, karma was a bitch, but sometimes it did good things as well you just had to wait a moment. With a sigh Alyia pulled her wings back into her body and looked up at the faces that still decorated the room. Katherine was now gone and though she had said it vaguely earlier Alyia would have to tell the red head that the old angel was no more and had decided to pass on. But, if it was like that the angel couls wait to tell her until later right now? Right now was a time to celebrate. The blonde approached Allison and placed a hand upon her shoulder, "You have passed. Welcome to B-Rank Allison."
