Seikatsu was wantering through Rose Garden, a most peculiar city as Seikatsu who normally detests magic was able to find some enjoyment in it. He marveled at the many lamps, containing Lacrima Crystals, gently glowing as they floated inside. The light emitted was so soft, so warm that Seikatsu felt less enraged when near it. 'If only I had one of these everywhere I went...' Seikatsu thought to himself. He walked about some more, looking for a place where he could relax where there wasn't so many damned couples. He didn't mind seeing people, hell he'd probably killed one of their friends for all he knew, but he hated the site of people holding hands. A hug is fine by his standards, that's not really a gesture of love, but holding hands, kissing, anything that brought people closer like this he detested. Seikatsu pulled his hood tighter, the glowing crystal no longer capable of making him not want to HANG someone by their arteries. He arrived at the middle of the town, an area where public displays of affection were regulated due to recent extremes that younger couples tried to perform.
'Good enough.' Seikatsu said to himself.
Here, there was a large fountain, rectangular shaped with five pillars of water being shot out, arranged in a crescent pattern. The ones on the ends were the shortest of the set, the one in the middle the tallest. The other two were somewhere in the middle, and helped to add to the awe of it. More of those Lacrima Crystals created glowing effects, and seemed that it was all coordinated so each crystal glowed in a certain pattern. Seikatsu walked to the fountain, and dipped his hands in to confirm it was actually there. Feeling the water on his hands, he retracted them back into his tan, tattered cloak and looked at his own reflection. The dim lighting kept his face hidden from all angles except from below, he punched the water using the splash to be rid the atrocity before him. Seikatsu sat down, resting his arms on his legs as he began to contemplate exact who he was, what he was.
    'I'm a monster
    A traitor.
    A fool.
    Murderer.
    Mortal.
    Demon.
    Assassin.
    Mercenary.
    Criminal...'

The thoughts bellowed through his mind, engulfing his attention. A small child walked up to him, resting her hands on his legs thinking he was a type of statue because he sat so still. Surprised when the fabric went down, scared when she looked him in the eyes. Terrified out of her mind, looking into the dull, dead purple eyes the child didn't move, or speak. Her mind drew blank as Seikatsu was staring at her. He put out his hand and rested it on her head causing her to wince, expecting more force than what was applied. "You shouldn't run from your parents little one." Seikatsu said in a soft, caring voice. "Go now, they seem to be waiting." he added, returning to his original statue like state. The small child, not sure if a statue talked, or Seikatsu was a person, did as told and went back to her family. Seikatsu remained in place, trying to find himself in the glow of Rose Garden's magical lights...

Here I stand, helpless and left for dead. Close your eyes, so many days go by. Easy to find what's wrong, harder to find what's right. I believe in you, I can show you that I can see right through all your empty lies. I won't stay long, in this world so wrong. Say goodbye, as we dance with the devil tonight. Don't you dare look at him in the eye, as we dance with the devil tonight.

“So, this is Rose Garden.” A light whisper escaped the female who stood at the frontier of Rose Garden; her amethyst hues gliding over the array of diversely coloured lacrima’s that floated around; illuminating the area, creating glades of lights which pierced the magnitudes of darkness. Floods of ecstatic laughter boomed around with jovial visages arising from children, adults and even the elderly; all of whom were accumulated within the vicinity of the area to relish in some personal time with their loved ones; be it families depicted by the innocence of the young running around whilst their guardians watched in glee or even, lovers depicted by the actions of lovingly holding each other’s hands, leaning a head on a shoulder and gazing at one another as if they had finally attained their inner peace. Peace, tranquility, and serenity radiated in waves from Rose Garden.

And Laycie, all but, hated it.

Hate is a very powerful word however, the raven-haired beauty could not describe what she felt for the entire thing apart from that one word as she stood there, clothed elegantly in a crimson dress, reaching till her knees with intricate patterns stitched neatly upon it as the skirt lightly and beautifully flowed due to the graze of the wind against the light fabric. Her luscious dark-brown locks descended gracefully down her back; a few strands braided at the side of her hair as a fringe swept across her forehead. Coupled with her petite appearance and somewhat, child-like features, Laycie could be easily mistaken as a young girl. Oh, but she was far from that.

In actuality, the raven-haired beauty was a demon. A demon who had rose from the depths of Hell to prance around on the face of the world of the living for another glance at humanity. It was merely a show for her which she had hoped would end in the downfall of humanity which was one specific reason as to why she had in, the first place, joined the ranks of Basilisk Fang. A guild donated to the cause to free Fiore from the clutches of the Magic Council and construct a world with a simple motto: ‘Only the strong shall survive’. A fight would occur; the righteous against the non-righteous and the demon would be present to witness that; the amusement and mirth attained from that conflict, that encounter would be perhaps, the best she would ever witness in her 200 or more years of living.

A light chuckle emanated from the back of her throat at that prospect and she strode forth into the depths of Rose Garden. Why she may attempt to do so when the woman clearly hated the place was simple; out of extreme boredom. Perhaps, her endeavor into Rose Garden may give her a source of entertainment to satisfy her immense monotony. And indeed, it did for as she walked forth; Laycie came upon a figure. He sat within the expanse of dim lighting; the only source of illumination emitting from a graceful fountain; spectacular in its architecture which was yet again powered by lacrima’s as it radiated a surreal sensation of serenity and beauty. The sight really did make the demon want to throw up.

However, the words emitting from the figure’s lips as he classified himself into categories; vicious and immoral ones made a slight smirk present itself upon the demon’s lips. The following events did only more to increase her curiosity about the figure as she witnessed a child who came forth to the figure and he hushed her away in a soothing manner. His appearance was indeed, one that caught Laycie’s immense interest as well. The man was peculiar and deviant for sure. He was not entirely evil yet the wickedness was brewing in him and that if more than anything, intrigued Laycie. A meeting was sure to happen as words poured out of her lips, aimed at the anomalous figure.

“Why hello there! Don’t you seem to be lonely?~” She spoke as only one thought echoed in her mind, “This is going to be a very interesting encounter, indeed.”

While contemplating his own purpose, Seikatsu felt a strange presence off in the distance. 'Be cautious child, another approaches.' Altsoba warned Seikatsu using their telepathic bonds. 'Indeed, I felt her.' Seikatsu replied using thoughts. No sure why he could sense others akin to him, he had little time to revel in pondering such matters as the person approached. "Why hello there! Don’t you seem to be lonely?" the voice called to her. Seikatsu's demonic scar burned for a second, confirming that he was caught. Seikatsu took a breath and motioned his hand to the grip of the blade, in case this encounter was of a combative nature.

Seikatsu stood up, looking at the child like individual. Her dress, the color of a beautiful flow of life from the veins of the dying, extending gracefully to the knobs of her legs, he knees. She emanated beauty in the form of infernal dominance, and desire of malice. Seikatsu felt no ill will towards him, but also did not enjoy that he sensed friendliness from another demon. He pulled down his hood and face revealing his demonic scare, that gave a gentle glow in as Seikatsu spoke with the power of his own soul.

"Two demons cross paths in the anima mundi, rare the occasion as few dare approach such individuals. Rarer still as few demons dare approach other demons for fear of fracturing the space about them from the release of power as they clash. What is the name of the demon before me, and what is her business? As well, is it safe to assume your appearance to be a rouse, fooling standard mortals to assuming you to truly be a human child?" Seikatsu asked, in a rather cold, yet knowledgeable tone.

Upon the male’s question directed towards the dark-haired demon, a smirk emanated from her pale lips as she positioned herself, leaning against the bark of a tree. From his manner of speaking, it was more than clear he was one who did not dilly dally or beat around the bush – a saying commonly used by humans associated with meaningless chattering – and got straight to the point. His questions came in a bundle and they did not surprise the demon; oh no. They in fact, intrigued her. The cloaked figure standing before her, encasing and hiding his identity from the human world was an interesting fellow indeed; one it would be quite enjoyable and exhilarating to associate herself with. And by associate, it meant to play with his minds. After all, when had Laycie ever been one to merely communicate with an individual for the sole purpose of getting to know them? Every interaction was a game; a game in which the demon had to emerge victorious, a game in which her foe – in this case, the cloaked man – would kneel before her.

Chuckling slightly, deciding to free herself from the confines of her thoughts, she faced the cloaked figure, still standing upon her position deciding that this time, a confrontation from a distance would be better. By what she had gathered so far, the man was no mere fool and he indeed, did not trust her considering she was a demon despite, being one of this kind. However, the demon kind was one in which none would trust another; that was the beauty of it. And upon that basis, a weapon would likely be at his disposal and if the raven-haired demon tried anything, the blade – which she suspected to be the most likely option – would perhaps, pierce against her flesh. Individuals such as him were not to be underestimated or instigated for she could sense the internal power he possessed and it was no haze that it was greater than hers considering the fact she had hers stolen a few days prior.

A game, however, would still be played. No physical interaction necessary; just by mere words bouncing from one to the other, digging into their core for Laycie’s belief lay in the fact that it was the emotions of any being, regardless of their race that controlled them. Hence, controlling the emotions would emerge her as the victor.

“Indeed, you are right.” She started, her voice laced with elegance, taking a slight pause before proceeding further into a slight speech of her own; answering his questions with sufficient answers and presenting ones of her own. “It is a rare occurrence for two demons to meet and I have to admit I have not encountered the likes of many of my kind upon the surface of the humans. Hence, it was out of mere curiosity when I sensed your aura that I decided an interaction was a must. And don’t worry; I’m not one of those that must absolutely require a clash. I assure you this will be quite a peaceful meeting between two of the same kind. As for my name, it is Laycie Vessalius; may I ask what yours may be? And as for my appearance, you are again, right. After all, wouldn’t you agree that fooling with the minds of these mere mortals is quite an enjoyable task? Moreover, it is far safer and easier to access things in this world as one of them hence, I adopted the frame of a human child. Quite cute, wouldn’t you agree?~"

[Private] Laycie/Seikatsu Social Empty Re: [Private] Laycie/Seikatsu Social

Post by Ninetails Derpfox Sun 5 Jul - 23:14

Seikatsu, while still partially human, was mostly demon. It also seemed that the more powerful his magic became, the more he became a demon. The extent of this was so great he'd once contemplated ceasing the use of magic entirely, but that would have wasted the lives of many. He had this power, he had killed for this power, so he was going to use it. Seikatsu knew several demons, one of which residing within him, and knew all were deceptive wretches. He made sure to keep his hand on the Thorn of Betrayal's grip in case he had to bifurcate this child. The demoness would most likely know he was lying if he gave her the standard answer, and decided for the first time, to give his true name. "I am Niyol, the Child of Wind. Chief of the now extinct Tribe of Souls." Seikatsu said firmly, not giving any hesitance. "As for your appearance, an average mortal would approach you from curiosity. The curiosity that emerges from inquiries of the plausibility of something being a threat to their existence. Should they be capable of sensing taint, they'd keep distance from you." He said plainly, not really putting any emotion into his words.

Seikatsu knew that all demons like to screw with people. He loves doing it and he wasn't even full demon, Alstoba seemed to enjoy it as much as he did. The fear demon from several months ago loved doing it, right before he killed his prey... dishonorable lot. Seikatsu accepted the woman's challenge to a duel of mental fortitude, and decided to test her. Seikatsu stepped forward and placed a single finger on her forehead, unsure of if the memories would flow for this one as the child he'd done this to before. Keeping his right hand on the Thorn of Betrayal, should the need to attack arise, Seikatsu focused his mind on his own memories. He sent forward a memory of a magic circle, with a pentagram drawn in it, the words 'Suscipiam, Contractus, Deamon, Anima' burning bright red on the image, with a fifth word blurred out. He transferred the memory of him killing off the entire Tribe of Souls, as little more than a ten year old boy, and finally a memory of him sparring with a woman wearing a purple dress with red laces. The woman had no face, but one could imagine her to be absolutely beautiful, almost royalty should she not be such a well met fighter.

Seikatsu stepped back, not entirely sure if the memory was transferred. If not, then it would seem like he'd decided to poke her in the forehead out of the blue, which he would still find comical. Whether the memory transferred or not, it was still good practice for him. Keeping his hand on the Thorn of Betrayal, truly holding himself back from using it on her, Seikatsu continued examining the child like thing.
