A cafeteria would be ideal. Particularly a school cafeteria because from what he remembered they were generally quite heavy on the salt. He wasn't sure why. Sure it was a good additive to food, but too much of it was really bad for you and made food just taste bleh. It made sense for him to be the one to prepare the solution. He knew how much Pekel used and that had worked on one of the children. A slightly higher concentration would probably be better. Of course, it all depended on if there was salt and if there was enough. Perhaps he could make a few solutions with some other materials in order to add some extra kick to it. Garlic, salt, orange juice, lemons. If we could create an ultra high concentration salt and garlic based lemon juice then even a small amount, in theory, should be enough to at least drive away the targets and possibly free them of their possession. It was just an idea he had. It might not work, but it was worth a shot. It seemed Kaya would be the one to find the cafeteria using her nasal skills. That was useful.

At the mention of wine he focused and summoned up two bottles of communion wine. He didn't have a large supply of this particular type of wine, but it seemed like it was enough for the time being. Enough for Jin to make a ring of the wine and set it on fire. It seemed that Jin was skilled enough with his heat magic that he could move the ring of fire with them making a mobile barrier. With such a barrier it would be difficult for anything to approach except from above and most would likely be driven away. "You know what Jin? This magic of yours is pretty amazing. You'll have to teach me a few tricks one day. It seems like it would be useful in my cooking." He could see the potential. The ability to chill and heat food through touch. Plus he would likely get a bit more resistance to heat and cold and might even be able to detect temperature via touch or sight. That would be an amazing addition that would give him an edge over almost any chef.

It seemed that Jin wanted Magna and Kaya to defend them from anything else that decided to try and attack them. In such a small area it would likely be a close up fight and that wasn't really his forte. His body was quite frail. Luckily, he had an ace up his sleeve. He pulled out his kitchen knife and focused. Once more the item began to glow brightly before leaving his hand and forming into the large armored figure known as Aegis. "Its unlikely we will be attacked anytime soon, but keep your eyes open. OK, Aegis?" he said and then thought for a moment. Aegis wasn't really the type to hold back. "But try not to hurt them...just scare them off. Its not their fault after all."

Kaya sniffed the air around them, the flame that surrounded the group made it difficult for her to use her sense of smell freely. ”This is no good, bad flames don’t help” she complained and looked at Jin. He didn’t think right, maybe they should have tried finding the cafeteria first. Perhaps it was the thought of not fighting and still being able to protect themselves that he rushed it. ”Sorry Kaya, honest mistake” he said looking at the slightly irritated saber tooth tiger. It was a school cafeteria though so there should be some sort of signs that would be noticeable if they looked around. Kaya looked around to find some other means as she noticed the tall structure of her owner. With an idea in her mind and a light bulb above her head she ran to Jin and climbed on top of the heat mage. ”Is she giving up?”, if she had given up then she would most likely climb to Jin’s shoulder and fall asleep. Was this the time to give up though? Kaya didn’t climb to his shoulder but rather his head and stood above the flames as she tried her best to smell the air. Would she normally do that? Perhaps not, definitely she wouldn’t have tried like this. It was most likely thanks to the praise she had received earlier. After sniffing the air for a little while as she stood atop Jin’s head, she smelled food.

”Jinny! Maggy! Food!” she shouted in a joyous voice, most likely catching some unwanted attention. ”Great work Kaya” he said as he raised the flames back to their original size. He had reduced the size of the flames to make it easier for Kaya to smell the air from atop his head. ”Let’s go and make that salt; while we get to the principal we’ll reduce his followers too” he said as he began to move slowly keeping in synch with Magna. His movements would move the flames too so it was crucial that he was careful.

Jin’s face lit up like the sun when Magna showed interest in his magic. ”That would be great. Heat magic does come in really handy with cooking. However, if I’m teaching you heat magic you’re gonna teach me how to cook like you do. Don’t worry, I don’t want your recipes, just the principles and techniques that one should use when cooking”. The time he had spent with Magna, he couldn’t help but be impressed by how analytical and good Magna was with cooking. As a fellow chef, he too wanted to learn the technicalities of cooking.

”Senny!!” shouted Kaya as she jumped from Jin’s head and headed straight for the armored guardian. It was like she met a missing sibling after a century or so, Jin didn’t know that she was that attached with Senshi already. Considering Jin had little idea about Kaya’s personality, this was a given though. ”Hello Senshi, sorry for troubling you” said Jin as he continued to look the other way, over the flames and into the darkness. He had sensed a few presences around them and was alert.

The flames seemed to obscure the incoming scents preventing Kaya or even himself from being able to detect any scents at all. It was likely due to the wine in the flames. That added a lot of scent which when combined with the smoke really did make things difficult. It seemed Jin had realised this and apologised. However, it seemed Kaya had found a solution now by climbing up Jin and using his height to get above the flames and try to detect a scent. It seemed that Jin had a bit of confusion about it as well. So it seemed this might not be Kaya's usual behaviour. Had his praise and the potential of a competition actually caused her to try harder and prove herself? That was an interesting and good side effect. Perhaps a little overconfidence wasn't such a bad ingredient after all.

It seemed that it had been effective though as she called out, quite loudly, that there was a scent of food on the air. Perhaps she had been a bit too loud. However, it seemed the flames, which Jin had lowered, were still effective enough to keep people away as so far he couldn't see or detect anything else.

"I'd be happy to pass on a few skills. First thing to note is that the mark of a good chef is clean sleeves." he said spouting out an old addage he had learned on his journies. "Messy apron, clean sleeves." It was an odd one, but important. Especially if you were cooking in public which was often something he liked to do. Often seeing someone cooking was enough to increase the appetite signifcantly.

Aegis looked down at the small tiger who seemed to be quite fond of him. It was impossible to read his expression except by his eyes. He was wary. Very much so. However, he nodded to them. "Greetings small tiger." he said in his usual almost monotonous tone. "It is...nice seeing you again." Magna was actually quite surprised. It seemed Aegis had bonded with the small tiger to some extent. He normally didn't speak out loud to anyone except Magna and even that was rare. Very odd indeed.

Eventually they managed to arrive at the cafeteria without incident. There was only one main entrance he could see so it would have to be through vents or windows if they were attacked. "Right...let's see what we have in this kitchen." he said heading towards the kitchen itself.

”Clean sleeves, dirty apron; never heard such an advice before”, it was unorthodox to say the least. He had consulted numerous chefs when he first became one and he had received different kind of advices. This was not like the others though, Jin could already see that this would be a better learning experience. ”I’ll keep that in mind then” he said to Magna taking a mental note. He wondered what else awaited in his journey to learning the proper ways of cooking from a mage who used magic to cook.

Oddly enough, the silent guardian spoke up and replied to Kaya; Jin had never heard him speak before. Even though Jin was the social one, Kaya had this ability to really connect with people. Sure, her cuteness as a chibi saber tooth tiger contributed in that but still, she was in a league of her own. He smiled at Kaya and wondered how she would be as she would grow. They had spent quite a bit of time together, fought many battles and met many people; Kaya had managed to connect to almost anyone they came across. Her yearning for attention ended up in making friends and established a sort of connection with a complete stranger.

Thanks to Kaya’s directions and the holy flames, they managed to arrive at the kitchen without any interruptions. As they had discussed before, Magna started to work on the solution while Jin began to look around. There was only one way in but that also implied that there was also one way out; unless he counted the vents which he wasn’t so sure about. He had dropped the flame circle now to allow Magna to move freely. To put up a protective barrier, he didn’t close the door and barricaded it like others normally would. Instead, he spilled some wine and made a flame wall while keeping the door open. This way, he would see if someone tried to come through it. After making the door secure, he began to look around for other ways to enter the area. He spotted three vents and placed fire barriers in similar manner but obviously smaller ones. Now, there were four walls of flame blocking the entrances to the kitchen. He turned to Magna and looked at him: ”This should keep us safe. Need any help?”.

Magna walked around the kitchen looking for ingredients. He had found a large pot and filled it with water. Whilst it sat there he began to move around with a surprising speed flinging open various cupboards and drawers. He found a large vat of cooking salt and tipped a large amount of it into the water and stirred it in a precise set of clockwise and counterclockwise stirs. He took a slight sip. The salt content was higher than what he used in pekel which was quite good, but it seemed to be floating around on the top of the water mostly. He nodded as this was expected and began to heat the water. He placed a lid over the top and allowed it to simmer. The salt would distribute better through the water and break down further. Whilst it heated he walked around the room and began to get other various ingredients he had heard worked against undead or possessed, including some of the communion wine. It was a mix of many undead ingredients and with luck it would work.

"I'm fine with the cooking, but we need a way to use the solution effectively." he said to Jin. "Look around and see if you can find any bottles or anything we can put this in." His initial thought was water baloons but he couldn't see them being in here anywhere. There had to be some way to deploy it though. Perhaps they could put it in bottle and force the people to drink it. "Or maybe we could use your magic to turn it into steam and hope that works." It was the only idea he had really except forcing them to drink it and that would be quite difficult. He looked at Aegis who was standing silently waiting. He was clearly in a defensive mode ready to spring out and strike should it be necessary. It was a shame they hadn't brought his axe. He was highly skilled with it. However, it had been damaged in a fight and was currently being repaired.

"Something is approaching." he said suddenly and his stance changed slightly. It wasn't clear what he was sensing or how, but he obviously had. Hopefully the fire would keep them at bay, but it wasn't obvious.

Post by Okura Jin 11th July 2015, 11:38 am

Jin looked around and kept watch while Magna prepared the solution that would be their weapon against the possessed. It was a bet, the two were gambling on that solution with very little data to back up their hopes. They only had one lucky undoing of the possession and neither understood much about how they had managed it. Sure, the salted water from before was the obvious reason but was it the only one? Jin could only hope at this point that what they had hoped for and worked for all this time wouldn’t turn into nothing. Life had a funny way of turning things around and altering the expected outcome. So far so good, the salt solution along with lots of more ingredients was completed thanks to Magna’s hard work. ”As long as we believe, it will happen” it was like self assurance, it was sorely needed at the time. Both of them really didn’t want to find any more children.

As instructed by Magna, he began looking around for containers of any kind and Kaya too began looking around. Both Jin and Kaya noticed a fridge with lots of cans of juices in it and both said it: ”We could use those”. True, they could use the cans but then they would have to get all the cans and then get rid of the juices and then pour in the solution. It really would take way too much time and time was not on their side. ”No wait, we can’t”, as hope had appeared so did it disappear. ”This is too much time consuming, we need a better way”, it was then that Magna suggested steam. Jin was surprised and hope once again reappeared in his eyes, ”Steam, we could really use that. Combine the steam and the vents of this place, if the fans are working; it would be perfect”.

The idea of steam was ideal in this current situation, if it worked; they didn’t have any way to confirm it though. If it did work, then Jin would have to take the solution head for wherever the fans were located and generate the steam there. If the vents weren’t broken, the steam would spread in the entire school and the possessed would be returned to normal; in the ideal scenario at least.

They didn’t have much time to talk about it and think it through though since uninvited guests had come. ”This is the perfect time to see if the steam idea works” he said to Elyx and looked around for an empty bottle. If there were cans of juices, there should be at least some bottles lying around too. Luckily, there was one lying around, he picked it up and tossed it to Magna as he waited for their opponent to arrive. ”We’ll see if the flames work and we’ll check the steam too” he said taking a defensive stance. If in case, neither worked then he would have to resort to brute force. He was hoping he wouldn’t have to resort to that.

A child and a teenager appeared, were they planning on attacking as a group. They got closer to the door and were now clearly visible but as soon as they got closer to the flame; they stepped back. It wasn’t just a flame but it was of holy nature as well. Jin waited till Magna would give him the bottle full of the salt solution. After acquiring the bottle, he would throw some solution in the air as it would soon begin to boil and turn to steam. A small smoke cloud of steam would then originate from the bottle and head for the two students. Would it be enough to return them to normal?

Post by Shard 11th July 2015, 11:50 am

It seemed the steam idea would be a good solution. He hadn't even thought of using the vents and the air conditioning system for distribution. That was brilliant. If done right they could saturate the whole place in the solution and potentially even weaken the ultimate target. He wasn't sure how they'd capture the so called principal of dark magic, but weakening his powers via the solution seemed ideal. That was, assuming the solution worked as steam. It seemed all their ideas were about to be tested though when Aegis sensed the approach of some individuals. How he sensed them he had no idea. Aegis just always seemed to know when people were around. Perhaps it was just from being a knight and all the fighting he had done in the past.

Jin took the opportunity to throw some of the solution onto the flames he had created instantly generating a large amount of steam. The fire itself had kept the child and teen back, but they were still there waiting. The steam on the other hand appeared to cause them to writhe about and begin tearing at their clothes and skin as if trying to get the solution off of them. It was a similar reaction to the one who had been soaked in salt water. Magna nodded to himself and chuckled a couple more can's of the solution onto the fire intensifying the amount of steam. The two non-adults screamed out, but suddenly the strange haunted look they had posessed faded. Something appeared to flow from them and away. The two looked at eachother and the fire and the mages and then the teen grabbed the child and ran.

"Well it seems that the steam idea worked." Magna said with a surprised tone. It was then he had another idea as he noticed a smoke alarm just down the hall that the kids had ran down. Weirdly there wasn't one in the cafeteria or kitchen. Well there were sprinklers, but no smoke detectors. Very odd really. "We could...hook it up to the sprinkler system as well. Combine the gas and liquid to create one super recipe for anti-possession." he struck a pose. "What do you think?"

Post by Okura Jin 11th July 2015, 12:24 pm

Thanks to a little help from Magna, the steam grew and it worked. The possession was removed and the children returned to normal. ”It worked! It worked!” yelled Kaya out of joy. She hadn’t expressed it so far but she was troubled by the possessed children. Being one with a bratty attitude, she was a child too. Seeing other children like her being possessed and acting so out of character was unnerving to say the least. She was relieved that both Jin and Magna had managed to find a solution to that. ”The steam was a brilliant idea after all. With your solution and my magic, we can have quite a lot of it. We should probably thank the cafeteria staff since they’ve provided an ample supply of our required resource”. If they hadn’t managed to find so much salt, all of this wouldn’t have been made possible.

Noticing the sprinkler system, Magna came up with another brilliant idea. ”That should take care of the remaining children who aren’t cured with the steam. Another brilliant idea”, he paused a little and thought over something. He continued speaking: ”but if we’re going to use both the vents and the sprinkler system, we’ll need to divide the solution. I think the amount we have should suffice for both our plans. It also implied that we would have to split up”. With Aegis, he was sure that Magna would have no trouble getting to the sprinkler system. His job was relatively easier, he just had to sneak around the vents carefully until he found the main fans.

Having devised a strategy taking into account the plans they had thought up, he started looking for another container. They would need two containers to move the solution separately. After opening up some cupboards he found another just as large as the one Manga had used. ”This should do fine” he said as he placed it next to the one with the solution. He picked up the filled in and began pouring it into the empty one, he had just found. ”We don’t have a way to communicate from long range. So when the steam appears, you should turn the sprinklers on. Oh and take Kaya with you too”, Kaya turned to look at Jin when he mentioned her. He was going to sneak around in vents, there was no need for her to be with him. On the other hand, Magna would have to look around for the sprinkler system. So if he did end up fighting some children, Kaya could be of more use with him.

He finished pouring the solution and left half of it in the existing container, now it was divided in two. He picked up one of them and looked around at a vent. ”I’ll need to turn all of it into steam, that’s why I’m taking the vents”, in case Magna didn’t already understand, he explained his reason for taking the vents. He could generate heat and rapidly heat up the solution using his magic. In comparison, he suspected Magna would have trouble doing that. After that, he picked up the solution and opened up a vent, climbing into it. He hadn’t been in a vent before but he had a general idea where he should be headed. He turned back and looked at Magna, Aegis and Kaya: ”Good luck” he said as he disappeared into the darkness.

Post by Shard 11th July 2015, 1:39 pm

All three of them that had been involved in finding the kitchen seemed quite pleased, but none so quite pleased as Kaya. It seemed perhaps because of her apparent young age she had even greater empathy for the possessed children then Magna himself. It was quite surprising really considering the species difference and the fact that Magna himself was probably only a year or two older than the teens. Maybe due to his journies he had matured a lot more than he thought and thus couldn't empathise with people his age as well anymore. It was a sad and thought provoking notion. He would have to think on that more later though as right now they had a job to do and Jin had an opinion on his plan and the success of the steam.

It seemed that Jin wanted to go with both plans because both would be effective or at least so they hoped. So in that case as Jin said they needed to split into teams and it seemed that Kaya was going to be coming with him. It made sense as it wasn't like she could be much help in the vents and Magna wasn't exactly a fighter. Nor was he physically strong enough to lift the pot. So whilst Aegis carried it, Kaya would be the scout and enemy detector. Magna on the other hand would be the one who defended them. He'd have to use his magic. Fortunately, he felt capable of using pekel again and they also had the option of steam bombs. He did have a few fire spells. Not quite in the same way Jin did, but they should suffice for a quick burst.

Jin had opted to take the vents. that seemed a wise choice as he'd be pretty well hidden up there and with his magic he could likely heat up the vents or chill them to get rid of any opponents. As for Magna he was going to have to figure out where the sprinklers went. Fortunately, there was a clear pipe going from them which he began to follow. "Kaya you keep a watch out for more people. Aegis, if we run into any trouble defend the pot. I should be able to drive them off...hopefully. If I get into trouble pot the pot down and help, but be careful." The guardian nodded as he carried the pot.

    --------------------------------------------
Fortunately, for them they did not run into any children, teenagers or other people in the school as they progressed following the pipes. That was truly a blessing or perhaps they sensed what was in the pan and were wisely staying away. Eventually their journies took them to a rather odd place for a sprinkler system center though in a way it was also rather clever. Where they ended up was the roof on top of which was a large container that had an open top. It seemed that the sprinkler system was fed naturally by the rain. It was quite clever when you considered this place was so near the mountains and thus probably got a lot of rainfall.

As if to emphasise this point it suddenly began raining heavily soaking the three. Lightning began to strike and thunder began to crack. It wasn't good because Aegis was made mostly of metal and was carrying a metal pot. "Get the water into the system and drop the pot." he shouted and Aegis nodded pouring the water in before discarding the pot. As soon as that was done Magna quickly reverted AEgis back to knife form. It put them at risk, but this way they were less likely to be struck by lightning.

As soon as he did this though there was a huge strike of lightning that temporarily blinded the young mage. He took a step back trying to blink it off and when he did he saw a figure standing there. He was wearing a typical suit, but there was a skull mask covering the top of his face and black marking swirled over his skin. His eyes were red like fire and an evil presence emanated from him. What was perhaps more peculiar than all that though was that the rain did not fall on him. It was almost as if it thought him too unclean to fall upon him.

"Welcome to my school. Have you enjoyed your tour?" It was the principal himself. The cause of all this. The one person Magna was willing to fight, but also the one person he was certain he wouldn't be able to handle solo even though he's personally like to see this man go flying off the school to fall in a heap on the ground.

"Kaya go get Jin. I'll hold him off." Magna said as he prepared to fight. "Style Francais: Marquant la viande." the chef said and swept his hand at the target causing the image of a rapid moving knife to form that launched off a wave of energy to strike the principal. It sliced into his clothing and flesh scoring it deeply. His top fell away revealing a well toned body that was covered in the same strange black markings.

"Detention." the principal said and Magna suddenly found himself unable to move at all. Nor cast a spell. The principal walked towards him his clothes somehow reforming as he did so. As he stepped forward he adjusted his tie and looked sternly towards Magna. "I am surprised one such as you was able to avoid the influence of my power. Most children fall to it, even the faculty of this school. Though perhaps that was because in a way they already feared me or worked for me." he said and raised Magna's chin. "I think I am going to have to make you a servant of my power. A chef with skill such as yours would be a true asset to my school." The man smiled and picked Magna up by the throat slowly choking him. He stood there looking triumphant. "Or perhaps I should just snap your neck and be done with you. My friends on the other side would probably prefer that." He tilted his head. "What do you think Magna Victus. Should I let you live to serve me? Or should I kill you?"

Jin entered the dark and consuming vents as he crawled through them. It probably had been a long time since they did any cleaning in there, it was all dusty. Jin had raised the hit of his fingers so they would turn bright red and shed some light on the path ahead of him. He had never been in vents before so guessing his intended destination’s direction was the task at hand. The main fans should be at the center of the building; since each vent would be connected to that so this one should lead to it. He couldn’t be sure though, he had never constructed a building or designed its vents. He never had a discussion with anyone about vents either. So all he had to work with was what he could see in front of him and what he could deduct with that. With the solution with him, he dragged himself and the solution to quite a few dead ends. Each time he would come to a dead end, turning was out of the question so he made his way back in reverse. ”Who could’ve guessed that finding your way through vents would be this difficult”, finally after some struggle he arrived.

There was no one of knowing whether Magna’s task had went so smoothly or not. He hadn’t encountered any possessed child or teenager so it was safe to assume the vents weren’t damaged. If they were damaged, the mindless state that those kids were in; one or two would have crawled into it. In which case, there should’ve been some echoes at the very least which would’ve been audible in the entire area. As Jin hadn’t heard such a sound or any sound for that matter, it was clear that the vents were an untouched domain so far. It was an open area, there were four large fans that were still moving and circulating the air in the entire building. ”This is the perfect place to start making some steam”, he sat down with his hands on the metal contained containing the solution.

The contained slowly turned red hot and then the solution to began to evaporate and turn into steam. Despite the fact that Jin had only altered the temperature of the contained, the area that he was in became hotter by the minute because of the steam. Thanks to Jin’s magic, he was unaffected by the temperature change. The steam continued to grow and move through the vents, slowly making its way into the entire school. It was by then that the solution was also poured into the sprinkler system; however, Jin wasn’t aware of that. ”Even if Magna pours the solution into the sprinkler system, we’ll still need a fire for it to start working”, he thought as he stood up. The temperature of the contained would no longer change unless there was some external cooling source. So the steam would only continue to grow until the solution was completely evaporated. After doing that, he headed back into the building. While crawling through the vents, he had seen a fire alarm by chance and was going to use it.

Meanwhile, the main villain had decided to appear on Magna’s end and Kaya was told to go find Jin. She did as she was told and ran off but after running a little while she came to a halt. Was this the right decision? If she went off and left Magna to himself, without Aegis he might end up in trouble. With that thought in mind, she turned only to see Magna being held up in one arm by that brute of a principal. Her instructions were to go find Jin, she knew another way to get Jin to their location. With that in mind, she turned and ran towards the principal still in her chibi form. Currently, she looked cute at best rather than a ferocious beast. ”You let Maggy go, ya big meanie!” she yelled as she got closer and closer, the principals gaze turned to her but he simply ignored her. What possibly could a small cat do to him? Well, that was a wrong deduction on his part.

When all of this was happening, Jin had made his way to the fire alarm. The smoke had gotten thicker now, making it very difficult to see. Just like how it had affected the child and the teenager from before, everyone who had inhaled it were now tearing at their clothes. The process of undoing the possession had already begun but just to be sure, Jin made it to the fire alarm and shattered the glass. The sound of fire alarms echoed in the entire haunted village, waking the nearby neighbors. The principal and his mage friend too would be hearing them. The sprinkler systems began to work and those who hadn’t been cured by the steam were now being cured by the sprinklers. Right after that, Jin felt Kaya as she used his magic power to cast her titan magic. ”Kaya’s fighting someone, that means… they found the principal!!”, he immediately began to sense where she would be. Suddenly, he heard a loud noise from the roof and concluded that they were on the roof top. Luckily, stairs were nearby so he dashed and began to make his way to the roof.

The noise that Jin had heard was caused by Kaya. As soon as she got close, she jumped at the dark principal who still didn’t bother paying any attention to her. Right when she got close, her size grew bigger and so did her other features: like strength. That was when Jin noticed her and she pounced on top of the principal making him let go of Magna. Using her paws and her strength, she was able to push back the principal a good ten feet; he did take some blunt damage but nothing major. Now, the large saber tooth tiger in all her glory stood in front of the principal. It was then that the door to the roof smashed open and Jin arrived. As soon as he arrived and looked at the principal who turned to look at him; without wasting an instant he attacked.

He signaled Kaya to move away as a large arrow appeared over his head and propagated towards the principal with great speed. The principal was still shocked from Kaya’s sudden transformation and had only seen Jin arrive. Before they could exchange some threats and probably bad mouth one another, Jin just bluntly charged using his Bird of Hermes spell. The arrow that he had launched was fire based and as soon as it hit the target, it exploded in a large heat based explosion. Thanks to his earlier gesture, Kaya would’ve moved out of the way while taking Magna with her. She was well aware that Jin’s spells did not differentiate between friends and foe. The explosion had resulted in a large smoke cloud, had their target been taken out? They couldn’t tell because of the smoke. Nevertheless, Jin walked towards Magna to stand by his side and prepared to engage in the final battle; if there was still going to be any.

The sudden transformation of Kaya into a large tiger and her knocking down the principal combined with the technique that Jin had used was enough to break the spell that the principal had put on him. "Nice one Kaya and great timing Jin." Magna said rising to his feet. The principal was quite powerful so it seemed unlikely that pekel would be effective. Besides the principal had managed to push off rain somehow. As the smoke cleared it was revealed that the principal was still standing. His body was burned heavily, but his clothing was reforming. He seemed to be a bit distracted giving Shard his own opening. "English Style roasting." he said launching a 3m fireball at the principal sending knocking him backwards towards the edge. . The further damage and distraction seemed to have removed his immunity to the rain. However, the principal didn't seem that heavily damaged and walked forward towards them.

"Is that all you have got? Perhaps you are not worthy of serving me after all. I guess I will please my friends on the other side instead." he said and raised his hand as if to prepare a spell.

"Zhonguo Feng Lengcang." was Magna's reply. This time a ball of liquid was launched. The principal laughed and kept his hand up. It seemed he thought Magna was no threat whatsoever.

"Fool is that all you've got." Magna just grinned and watched as the ball of liquid hit the man. That ball was not a normal liquid. It was liquid nitrogen. It hit the man and froze the water on him. What's more due to the fire damage he had already received the damage fromm the ice was heavily enhanced.

"I'm a chef. My spells are ingredients and you just got hit by one of my favourite recipes." he said with a slight annoyed tone on his face. His skill as a mage might not be great, but he didn't like to be underestimated especially because his magic was his cooking and as a chef he knew he was pretty good. However, it seemed it wasn't quite enough to defeat the principal as with a blast of dark energy the ice shattered.

"Then you have a long way to go as a chef." the principal said and suddenly wind began to sweep up blowing Magna back so that he launched and hit a large vent quite hard. The principal turned to Jin. "AS for you. Who gave you permission to bring an animal to my school? It is not yet time for show and tell."

Post by Okura Jin 12th July 2015, 10:20 am

Following Jin’s spell were more spells, courtesy of Magna Victus. Apparently, their attacks hadn’t managed to do much damage or was it a bluff? One after another, Magna’s impressive spells did manage direct hits, just like Jin’s spell. He kept questioning Magna if that was all he had got, Jin didn’t like that one bit. Well, he didn’t like the principal anyways because of what he had done to the innocent children and faculty of the school. The principal had made them victims of dark mage, it might even be possible that he was a victim himself. There was no way of finding that out though; despite, the fact that the principal was awfully chatty. ”Our attacks hit and yet he is still standing. Is it a bluff or is he really that strong?”, he couldn’t help but question what was in front of him.

After the exchange with Magna, his attention turned to Jin and then to Kaya. Both Kaya and Jin’s expressions immediately changed when he called Kaya an animal. They were serious from the get go but this had just changed the atmosphere. ”Animal? Show and tell?”, that kind of disrespect. Kaya was not a simple mindless beast, she wasn’t just a pet either. Jin considered her to be his friend; his family, just like all the other guild members of Black Rose. Everyone has a certain limit, a switch which goes off at a certain point; this was that point for Jin.

Two spirit warriors suddenly appeared at Jin’s side, both carrying large clubs. Both of them were large (seven feet in height) and had well toned bodies; each of them carrying a large hammer. ”For the innocent children and the faculty, for the people of this village and for calling my friend; my family an animal and for the pride of Black Rose.. Oi Principal!!”, as he shouted lightening struck with a loud crackle. ”You’re going down!”, said Jin as he charged along with the two summoned warriors and Kaya too leaped at the principal.

A series of heat based explosions happened as Jin used his spell: ”Miniplosions”. Right after the explosions ended, Kaya arrived and smacked the heavily burned principal, throwing him a few feet away. The two warriors were already in place as the principal landed in front of them. The two hammers went up in the air and then down at the principal. There was no room for him to move, no instant for him to react; it was all perfectly timed. One, two and three, the clubs kept hitting until one blow threw him again towards Jin. Jin was now waiting to make the one final blow. While the principal was tossed towards him, he charged up his one final signature blow. ”Emperor’s Armor!”, he yelled as heat gathered around his right arm turning into an armor. His fist collided with the almost lifeless body of the principal landing a direct hit. The result was the principal being thrown once more in the opposite direction. He tossed, turned and tumbled into a wall crashing into it. With the crash, there was a smoke cloud as the wall was slightly cracked. Rain continued to fall, Jin and his warriors stopped and waited to see the result. The smoke cleared and revealed an unconscious principal.

Making sure that the principal was no longer a threat, the warriors disappeared and Kaya returned to normal. ”That takes care of that” he said turning to Magna. Children, faculty and teenagers began to run out of the building having turned normal. The fire brigades now began to arrive since the alarm had been set off. The entire scene was visible from their current location, ”our work here is done”, he said with a gentle smile. The two chefs had rescued the students and faculty and also managed to capture the dark principal. After handing over the culprit to the local law enforcement, they began their journey back to the guild island.

    The End
